For the past 2 years, I've had the privilege of photographing the sweet Rivet family. I've been friends with Rachel since college, and it's truly an honor when old friends contact me to photograph their families and little ones. I've been photographing sweet Mac since he was born....he is definitely a toddler now! Gotta love those busy little boys!

Just a few months ago, I had the opportunity to photograph 3 of these sweet cousins. They had me come back in September when little Whitney was in town. And they're about to add another cousin to the bunch! Seriously, the cutest little kiddos!

I've been photographing Luke since he was a newborn...and he is now 18 months of ENERGY! I should have brought my running shoes to our session. :) It was a pretty, but hot day at City Park in New Orleans.

One year. That is how long it's been since I've blogged. Pitiful, I know. I was recently told by a client that she was afraid I wasn't in the photography game any longer because I haven't posted to my blog in so long. Whoopsie...nope, I'm still here, busy as ever, just completely neglecting this blog.

I won't bore you lots of commentary, because let's face it...you're probably just here to see pretty pictures, not to read a soliloquy on the events taking place during a session. So, I'll just entertain you with the cliff notes. Enjoy :)

This is my 2nd session with the Borne family....our first session was with 2 year old Cecilia at the Country Club of Louisiana in Baton Rouge. Soon after, Cecilia became a big sister to Conrad. I traveled to Covington to photograph this new family of 4.

If you have followed my photography over the years, you may have noticed my style of newborn photography has changed over the years. What began as a forced, posed style of shooting (which I love and have an appreciation for), has just evolved into a more natural, lifestyle approach. I try not to worry with getting everything perfect (sort of), but my goal is to photograph the new family in their own environment, just interacting as naturally as possible (with a camera in their face!). This family had such wonderful lighting in their home, which is pure gold to a natural light, in-home photographer!

I'm trying to catch up on the ole' blog here...so a lot of posts are coming with a lot of photos, but few words. Not that I don't have words for these beautiful families that I have had the gracious opportunity to photograph, but 1) I'm low on time and overwhelmed by all of the sessions I want to blog 2) I'm really not all that great with articulating my thoughts into words and 3) it's a portrait blog...the photos should speak for themselves.

....do I have a lot of catching up to do on this blog or what?! I have been diligently saving images to my "to be blogged" file, but they somehow have never made it to the actual blog! So, in an effort to catch up, here are 3 lovely sessions from late Winter 2013...

These little ones may look familiar! :) Hudson turned 1, and I just adore the little sign that Kelly had for his first birthday, with his milestones! Ryker is getting so big! Love these little guys!! :)

Then I was off to Lafayette to photograph these two families - the Moms are sisters and I grew up with them in Napoleonville! I love big families!! :) Here are the Broussard's....

Little Charlie was just as easy to photograph at his 6 month session as he was for his newborns. Such a sweetheart, and a very laid back baby. He was so good for our session....just an all around happy baby! :)

The Saunders Family {Baton Rouge Child and Family Photographer}

Last fall, I was able to photograph the Saunders family. I have been able to photograph this sweet family several times, and this past photo session was taken at Oak Alley Plantation. It was a gorgeous fall day...I think the kiddos had a good time! :)
