The Gentleman & My Tuxedo...

Hello beautiful people! I have a beautiful story to share with you today. Early last month my mummy took me to visit a gentleman, his name is Mr. Keith Kee. Mummy said Mr. Keith is one of her favorite designers and he is going to make me some very nice clothes. Mr. Keith's shop, Keith Kee Couture is a really fun place! All the people in there are really warm and friendly; and there is also an endless supply of sweets on his lounge table, but mummy won't let me have them, so I hid them in my fist until we got home!

Normally, when mummy takes me shopping, I just pick and choose the clothes that I like; but with Mr. Keith's clothes... must visit him 3 times before I get to wear my beautiful clothes! Mummy says because it is a special type of outfit called "tuxedo" that will make me look very handsome. What a funny name for an outfit. According to my papa, the word "tuxedo" came from the name of a country club in New York, called "Tuxedo Park Club" and the first "tuxedo" was tailored by "Savile Row"; because all the gentlemen from Tuxedo Park Club started wearing the "tuxedo" in public, people started associating the outfit with the club's name... interesting! Mr. Keith, I wonder if you can make an "ashton"!

Such a handsome suit, can only wear to a handsome event! So, I wore it to the year's most glamourous event, Keith Kee Couture's 10th Anniversary Fashion Gala! The event was held on the 7th day of August at the Renaissance Hotel and it was FUN! There were so many people there and I had so much fun meeting all of them!

The main event of the night was of course the fashion show, and it was a blast!!! Mr. Keith's creations are so very very beautiful. Here are some photos if you don't believe me...

And , of course, my mummy had to take me on the "runway" again. She says because it was a special day! It was Mr. Keith's 10th Anniversary and coincidentally, I was also 10 months and 10 days old exactly on that day!!! Besides, I had to show off my beautiful "tuxedo" or "ashton" as I like to call it!

Over 100 outfits were paraded in the fashion show. Mr. Keith must be a very hard-working gentleman. I guess, that's why after 10 years, he is still going strong. I have a lot to learn! At 10 months, I am already feeling lazy...

My "Wise" New Toys

Hello beautiful people! Thank you for dropping by. It has been more than a week since my first blog post and I am very happy to have met so many people. Last week, I received some very interesting toys. A nice man called Mr. Babywise came to my house and brought me some nice toys, but what was funny was that some of the toys were made from my "hair". Yes, my hair! Apparently it is worth a lot of money, because my aunty told me that these toys can buy me even more new toys!!! But, mummy, because I love you, if you need to buy new clothes, you can have my hair.

Mr. Babywise brought me 4 new toys to play with. Thank you very, very much.

Two of the toys were made with my hair. Actually, one was a pendant with my hair in it, so I can wear it and look "handsome" when I go out, but I found that everyone who saw it was more curious about how my hair got into the pendant. Everyone kept asking about it, so I just told them to ask Mr. Babywise!

The second toy made with my hair is a paint brush, which I was quite excited about because I thought mummy was going to teach me how to paint... but she won't let me take it out of the case that they sealed it in. She said this is a special Chinese calligraphy brush that can never be taken out of the frame. Toys that cannot be played with! Sigh! I am still confused.

When Mr. Babywise came to take my hair, he also brought a photographer with him and they took lots of pictures of me and my mummy. They made a book out of all our photos and it is really nice. Thank you, Mr. Photographer. I guess this photo book is more a gift for my mummy & daddy so they can see me whenever they want, coz, for me, I just look in the mirror if I want to see myself!

Haha, now for my favorite toy, the "tiger" statue! Now, this toy, I can play with. It comes in a nice red box and has my name (Chinese) on it, so no one else can take it from me. Mr. Babywise said, just in case, people don't recognize my Chinese name (黃瑾威 - Wong Jin Way), he also put my umbilical cord into the statue, so it is 100% pure Ashton! Haha!

Well, after Mr. Babywise left, my mummy and daddy were looking at my new toys and they looked so happy, always smiling at my toys. They said they were proud of me and they will cherish these toys forever, and so should I. I guess they are beautiful toys, especially my "tiger" chop, perhaps when I grow up I will learn how to play with the other ones. For now, I am just happy that nice people like Mr. Babywise comes and visit me, and when they bring toys, that's a bonus.

My Journey So Far... (Part 2)

Hello beautiful people! Thank you very, very much to all of you that came to visit my first blog post. Make me very happy!

Happy camper!

The last 2 days were very fun, mummy took me out a lot. I went to a charity event, a press conference and many places with lots of people. Needless to say, I am exhausted now. Hopefully, I can recover by the weekend, so I can go out some more. Hehe!

Anyway, back to my journey...

When I turned 7 months old, my gums started to hurt a lot, and I was drooling a lot, too. Yes, I was teething and it was very uncomfortable. I did not understand why my mummy was so happy while I was in anguish. She kept telling everyone about my 2 little front teeth and seemed so proud of it. Bah! Then... my granny told me that with teeth, is when I can really start to enjoy beautiful food, and that got me excited! I started eating different things that made me really happy and forget about the pain. Ah, we live in a beautiful world with beautiful things - cereal, chicken, fish, fruits and my favourite, cookies! I was also quickly figuring out that there are just some things you can not stuff into your mouth...

Now that I am eating more and feeling stronger and more energetic, my mummy and papa started to bring me out a lot more.

I get a special car seat when we go out. Cool huh? It's like a spaceship!

I was going to lots of places where lots of people wanted to take pictures of me! How nice, but it only seems to happen when my mummy is around. I was confused by one thing though, most of the time, the photos are taken on the "red carpet", but sometimes, the carpet is not red, and sometimes, there is no carpet at all?!?

My mummy also took me to her workplace a couple of times and it was fun... it was a place that was higher up than everyone and we walk down this long walkway and everyone is looking at us, when we get to the end of the walkway, we stop and it seems like the flash on every camera in the room goes off. Hmm... Also, they call this walkway, a "runway", but nobody ever runs on it!!! This is a beautiful world, but it is a confusing one...

When I turned 8 months old, I started putting on some weight and my cheeks were getting chubbier. I was also getting a lot of "cute" comments! It was a frustrating time, as people around me were treating me like the way I treat my toys! They were pinching my cheeks, grabbing my arms and making me stand on my feet, putting funny stuff on my head, and taking my toys away so I have to crawl to get to them, rather than just handing them to me!!!

But it was also an exciting time as I was developing some killer vocal chords! My aunts were very excited to teach me how to sing! They didn't know much about "hip-hop", so they worked on my "soprano" instead. Let me share a secret with you, it's hard! I almost choked while showing off to my mummy and her friends...

In my 9th month, I was really starting to figure things out. There is this cool toy that I was playing with this whole time that makes cool noises when I press on it and soothes my tooth aches when I chew on it, but wanna know what's even cooler, I can call my mummy and talk to her on it!!!

Now, I can talk to my mummy whenever I want.

Approaching my 10th month, I was really having the time of my life. See for yourself...

I get to drive a "real" car all by myself, and meet new "friends".

I also discovered this new place where only other little people like me play at, and it is FUN!!!

I get to sit in cool "cars" that move backwards...

And, of course, order my own food!!!

I also begun to understand a lot more of my mummy's work. She goes to a lot of events, because nice people like to invite her; she takes a lot of photos, because cool people like taking photos of her; and she walks a lot, because places with lots of people like to see her walk on the "runway". But in my heart, it's because I think she is the most beautiful mummy in the whole wide world. I love you very, very much, mummy!

I think I can get used to this. No matter what I say, people laugh and clap very loudly.

And, of course, it makes me quite popular with the girls, too!

Well, that kinda sums up my first 10 months. In 2 months time, when I've been on this beautiful world for 1 year (apparently it is a big deal), I can't wait to see what mummy and papa does for me. Anyone has any ideas? It has been an amazing journey for me so far. I really enjoy learning and meeting people. My Journey So Far... (Part 1)

Good day beautiful people. Thank you for visiting my very first blog post. While I was at a photo shoot for Philips AVENT recently, I heard someone say "It's OK to start young", so I decided to start my own blog! Are there any other 10-month old bloggers out there?

Anyway, tomorrow, I would have been breathing the beautiful air on this beautiful world for exactly 10 months. Here's a recap of my journey so far...

On the 28th day of September, 2010, I was delivered into the beautiful arms of my beautiful mummy, whom I heard them refer to as "Amber Chia". I could not see much as my eyes were still getting used to the light. After 9 months of darkness, the beautiful sunlight was refreshing. I heard a lot of noises which confused me, there was laughter, crying, people talking frantically and even sighs. Apparently, they were all excited about my arrival. Does everyone get such a grand entrance into this beautiful world? Do we all arrive at this beautiful place as equals? Doesn't matter, I am going to cherish this moment and remember it for life.

One of the things I remember was a lady snipping the cord from my belly and putting it into a jar! I couldn't read the label on the jar, but heard them say something about "cord blood" storage & "stem cells". Why would they want to keep my cord blood? Never mind, apparently it will help me in the future if I fall sick. I can't read yet, but if you can, you can read all about it at CellSafe International.

Apparently my mummy is a famous person and my arrival was hot news. The first person to come visit me was a lady called Stella, and she was the lady who helped my mummy get back into shape at S2 Slimming. I guess it worked, because my mummy was back into her normal clothes within a month.

Mummy's best friend also came to visit me, his name is Benjamin and apparently, he teaches people how to walk in high heels.

After spending 3 days in the hospital, I was more than ready to go back to my new home.

All groomed up and ready to go home.

The next couple of weeks were pretty mundane, I must have been exhausted from all the hoo-hah! All I wanted to do was sleep, eat and poop; oh boy, let me tell you, it is one super uncomfortable experience when diapers fill up too quickly. Thankfully, my mummy decided to switch to Huggies; I cannot even begin to tell you how much more comfortable they are. Very happy!

Perhaps, it was my dreams that were tiring me out! All I remember of my dreams were a lot of kicking and punching, but they always ended up putting a smile on my face...

My dreams were thrilling & action-packed...

but I always saved the day...

When I turned one month old, things started to get more exciting. I was able to belt out some words, but they rarely came out as I intended them to, I was able to control the movements of my limbs a little, make some gestures and play with some toys, I was especially pleased that I was able to cry on demand whenever I wanted some attention and needed some food. My mummy also took me for my first studio photo shoot and threw me a grand "full moon" party just to introduce me to lots of people!

I think the music I enjoy is what they call "hip-hop".

My mummy also posted an entry about me on her blog at AmberChia.com. I love you very, very, much, mummy!

After my first month, I started to feel more restless and my body was starting to ache. They say it is because I was growing at a rapid rate. I guess so, coz I was waking up more often for my milk. Thankfully, we had invested in Philips AVENT's breast pumps & bottles, so my mummy did not have to wake up in the middle of the night and follow my erratic feeding schedule.

Anyway, here are some photos of my journey from my 2nd to 6th months...

And, of course, experiencing music in a whole new way!

I must say, my first 6 months has been lots of fun, and being in this beautiful world has far exceeded my expectations, but wait till you hear about the journey of my 7th to 10th months...
