Plot/Synopsis

Loy (Jacky Cheung), a 41-year-old bachelor who lives with his mother (Paw Hee-Ching) and aunt (Chu Mi-Mi), often goes to match-making lunches setup by his mother. His mother owns and operates a electrical store setup by his deceased husband (Lovell Lo) in Wan Chai. Loy's mother is an accountant (Danny Lee Sau-Yin)'s love interest. He keeps a dog and brings it with him everywhere.

Orphaned Oi Lin (Tang Wei) lives with and works for her uncle and aunt (her mother's brother and his wife) in a bathroom appliances store onLockhart Road. She is in a relationship with Xu (Andy On) which her uncle disapproves, due to his often run in with the law. He thus setup a match-making lunch for her and Loy with Loy's mother.

Loy and Oi Lin did not fall for each other at their first meeting. But their families kept their hopes up. Loy's mother made Loy deliver a dehumidifier to Oi Lin's store personally. Then Oi Lin's uncle made her go for tea with Loy at a nearby Cha chaan teng (Honolulu Coffee Shop). The two stuck up a friendship after discovering a mutual interest in detective stories.

Synopsis/ Plot
Asako (Kie Kitano) and Miharu (Anne Watanabe) are average students at a female high school. One day, Miharu decides to drop out of school due to parental problems. Miharu lends Asako a CD of her favorite indie rock band LANDS. Asako loves the CD and fast becomes a fan of the band, especially guitarist Yukiya (Kengo Kora).

The girls then sneak into the backstage area during a LANDS concert at club. Asako meets LANDS members Kenji (Hideyuki Kasahara), Ryuji (Nobuaki Kaneko), and vocalist Natsu (Jin Akanishi). Natsu is immediately attracted to Asako and invites her to their studio for practice sessions. The band manager, Yukari (Ayumi Ito), soon kicks Asako out, but Natsu is determined to keep her around.

When band manager Yukari becomes sick, the LANDS members already fond of Asako, call Asako to take of Yukari. The two women fast become friends and Asako soon becomes LANDS co-manager.

As the band starts climbing the ladder to stardom, friction starts to occur among the band...

Plot

The film is set in Dengfeng, Henan, during the warlord era of early Republican China. The warlord Hou Jie defeats a rival named Huo Long and seizes control of Dengfeng. Huo flees to Shaolin Temple to hide but Hou appears and shoots him. Hou ridicules the Shaolin monks before leaving.

Feeling disadvantageous with his sworn brother, Song Hu, Hou sets a trap for Song in a restaurant, under the guise of agreeing to his daughter's engagement to Song's son. Meanwhile, Hou's deputy, Cao Man, feeling that he was being used by Hou and that he deserves better, decides to betray Hou. Cao sends assassins to murder Hou and his family. Hou manages to fatally wound Song with his handgun, but Song still saves Hou to allow him to escape from the assassin's ambush before succumbing to his injuries.

Hou manages to escape together with his daughter, but his daughter was severely injured when a carriage knocked her down while she is fleeing, and worsen when they fall off a cliff. Hou's wife is rescued by some passing-by Shaolin monks, who were stealing rice from the military granary to help the refugees living near the temple. In desperation, Hou brings his daughter to Shaolin, begging the monks to save her life, but it is too late and she dies of her injuries. Hou's wife blames him for the death of their daughter and leaves him. Hou attacks the monks in anger but is quickly subdued.

Synopsis

Plot

Plot

Nam (Pimchanok Lerwisetpibol), a young and ugly girl had a huge crush with Shone (Mario Maurer), the school’s heartthrob since her freshmen year. With the help of her supportive friends, she somehow got the chance to have some brief, close encounters with her knight in shining armor.

It was not an easy road for Nam, though. Some girls were more beautiful and more talented than her. She thought that she will have no chance to be with Shone. Eventually, she grew up and became beautiful and discovered something more about Shone.

Synopsis

When the Korea-Japan World Cup kicks off in 2002, a North Korean squad leader stationed at the DMZ is frustrated that the political situation is preventing him, a football enthusiast, from enjoying the games. Synopsis/ Plot

Set in a high school boxing club in Osaka, Kabu (Hayato Ichihara) is a likeable delinquent who cuts up during classes, but works masterfully in the boxing ring. Then one day on the subway, Kabu takes out three thugs who are harassing a young couple. When Kabu gets off the train, he realizes that the man being harassed is his childhood friend Yuki (Kengo Kora), who moved away several years back.

To Kabu's delight he learns that Yuki has now moved back to town and is now attending the same high school as Kabu. A few days later, Kabu insists to the timid Yuki to join the boxing club. After much badgering upon Kabu's part, Yuki finally decides to take up the boxing gloves. Although Yuki is completely new to the sport, he does train with earnest determination.

Meanwhile, a local boxing tournament takes place with Kabu easily going through his opponents. That is until the championship match when Kabu faces the highly feared boxer named Inamura (Suwa Masashi). To Kabu's surprise, Inamura knocks out Kabu. The loss devastates Kabu and he quits the boxing club. Yuki, on the other hand, stays in the club and trains as diligently as ever. When Kabu finally rejoins the boxing club, Yuki and Kabu both train for the next tournament to take out Inamura, but Inamura has a surprise for the two boxers

Plot/Synopsis

Six years into her career, AV idol Sola Aoi continues to stray further and further from the hardcore porn that made her an international star. She’s been in plenty of non-porny V-cinema movies in the past few years, but she took an extra step for her latest project, Aozora (Blue Sky), and actually penned the screenplay herself.

The story revolves around a pachinko parlor worker named Shiori (Aoi) and her aspiring musician boyfriend, Tetsu. The two of them travel from Kyushu to Tokyo together and struggle to stay afloat while Tetsu chases his dream. Tetsu’s younger brother eventually shows up and the two brothers form a duo and start to play some shows together.

Later, Shiori gets recruited as a gravure idol while Tetsu gets involved with a local yakuza and cheats on Shiori with another woman. Tetsu continues loving Shiori, but big city life gradually tears them apart. (Nippon Cinema)

Plot:

"In one long Friday evening, Takeshi Miyata, a straight-arrow businessman, will encounter a number of people (some only fleetingly) who have intertwining fates. After six months he is still mourning the loss of his girlfriend, Ayumi and is lured from his apartment when his childhood friend, the detective Yusuke Kanda, telephones invoking Ayumi's name. This is director's Hong Sang-soo (Virgin Stripped Bare By Her Bachelors) second film to be filmed entirely in HD video and shot on a very low budget. This film was South Korea's entrant in the 2009 Cannes Film Festival.
