Matsushima Nanako has done it again. Ga Sei Fu Mita San's last episode just aired on Dec 21, 2011. Ratings hit through the roof. Nanako played a house maid who never smiles for personal reasons. All four kids of the household kept on wanting to make her smile but failed miserably. Kids lost their mother due to drowning, Mita San has helped them a lot in the home so they can get back on their feet. Little did they know their father was cheating on their dead mother and that's why their mother committed suicide. Mita San will do anything for the family including killing someone for them. Mita San thinks by following orders, she will meet her dead son and husband in heaven sooner. Her story was quite interesting, but I'm not going to give it away.

Lan saw this soccer ball in the next room and she got excited. Shinichi right away noticed the ticking sound coming from the ball. It's a bomb!

Last case related to a soccer ball was when they met with another famous detective from the other high school in Osaka. His name is Heji. Heji is actually the son of a police, so when Shinichi met him, he didn't want Heji to know his name and want to see how Heji solves the case.

Heji was chasing down a rubber on a bicycle and when he reached residential area, he passed by Shinichi. Shinichi kicked his soccer ball towards the rubber and stopped him, but the ball flew up and landed on someone's window. There were loud music emanating from the house and then shortly afterwards there was a woman's scream, then the music stopped. Shinichi and Heji tried to climb over the fence when the wife came back home. The husband took a long time to open the door and then they found his assistant dead on the couch with glass sticking out of her neck.

Heji revealed to the police he is a detective, but got bad response until they know he is the son of a police chief. The house owner who is a music composer was suspected of the murder since he was the only person with his assistant, but both Shinichi and Heji don't believe it. The soccer ball that Shinichi kicked into the house wasn't strong enough to reach the picture frame on the wall to break it, so why did the glass break and killed the assistant? The composer took a long time to open the door because he wanted to dress up the assistant so that people won't know they were having an affair.
Shinichi wanted to talk to the wife privately and he saw there was a receipt for repairing a glass frame and saw there was another wall in the house that has a mount but no picture. Shinichi then deduced that the picture in the shop and the picture supposed to be in the corridor was a set. It completed the sentence, "No wife, no life"

The wife was jealous and mad at her husband for cheating on her. She gave her life to him and helped him make a lot of songs. She thought of herself as his muse. Now he has another assistant and had affair, she really couldn't forgive them. Her intention was to use high frequency to break the glass and kill them both, but because her husband stood up to check Shinichi's soccer ball, that action saved his life. The wife was testing her theory on one of the picture frame that's why it was at the repair shop.

Heji asked when Shinichi suspected the wife. Shinichi noticed the wife commented on maybe both people are injured badly and cannot open the door when they were trying to break down the door to the house.

Lan realized the code to stop the bomb was "attachment" The door opens and when Shinichi was leading the way, the handcuffs broke and Lan stayed in the previous room while Shinichi went to the next room.

This time the room is filled with charge and will electric shock them in increasing amount of voltage. Last case Shinichi encountered voltage shock was when his girlfriend got her bump touched by a pervert on the bus.

As they chase down the pervert through town, they finally surrounded the guy and then
Lan gave the pervert a good kicking.

They saw police car and ambulance pulled up to an apartment. An elderly woman was cut off from life suport because the power went out and the backup battery was being fixed. Shinichi saw the breaker was tripped. The nurse said the power went out once before as well. Police suspected the nurse because he went out to the grocery store leaving the patient unattended. Shinichi noticed there was a surveillance camera on the balcony with broken wire and he also noticed that the cloth hanger clip was black. The daughter of the patient came back and was immediately aware of her mother's situation even though no one told her yet. Camera was shorted in a rainy day 6 months ago and thus turned off the life support. While questioning the pervert, Shinichi noticed that the pervert had something in his pocket. When he took it out, it was a black underwear. The pervert stole the black underwear from the same apartment with the patient. The pervert stole from the same place before and the daughter of the patient know he only steals black underwear.

Then the fateful rainy came. A evil thought came across the daughter's mind. If the same thing happen next time and no one is around to save her mother, then maybe her mother will die and release her from having to take care of her mother. So she split the camera wire and put it on the cloth hanger clip and have the black underwear separating the clips. She also connect the wire to black thread and tied it to the clip, so if anyone take down the underwear, it'll also pull the thread and then the wire would be pulled away from the clips and then it won't look like a setup.

Since she knows the pervert will only take the black underwear, there is a high chance that it'll happen again and she can blame the pervert for her mom's death. Shinichi at first didn't want to tell the police what he knew until he knows the patient's current health condition. The daughter want to turn herself in for attempted murder, but her mother somehow miraculously can breath on her own again after the emergency resuscitation. In the end, only the pervert got charged.

Shinichi and Lan opened the door and found themselves in another room with a soccer ball bomb.

The room started to fill with a big balloon until there is no room. Time for the next puzzle.

His next case was to find out where 2 rich girls were kidnapped to. Shinichi's girlfriend's friend is one of them. The other one is noodle king's oldest daughter.

The younger daughter had a fight
with her sister in front of the camera during the funeral. Then the older sister disappeared along with Lan's classmate.
There was a ransom note to give diamonds to the kidnapper. The kidnapper wants the diamond to be in a case and attached to the balloon that's on the top of the building and raised in the air. Kidnapper called to say he took the diamonds. When they let the balloon down, the diamond case was empty.

There was a note in the case saying that the victim will be given back to them and told them to go to the bench in the park. Younger sister sounded surprised, but she didn't go to the park with the search party. Search party couldn't find the kidnapped, but found another note saying to look in the storage room in the basement. They checked the storage room at the factory and found the missing 2 people. Just then, police found the younger sister dead on the roof. Shinichi thought it was weird that the kidnapper got the diamond, but still killed the younger sister.

So by deduction, this killing is personal. The older sister doesn't like the younger sister since she's smarter, born from her dad's mistress and got more money from the will. At first the younger sister thought about the idea to dodge the inheritance tax so she teamed up with the older sister to conduct the fake kidnapping and switch the diamond ransom case to case with dry ice in the process when she pretended to fall beside the fire extinguisher compartment.

Older sister untie herself, left a dummy on the floor and then went up to the roof to kill her younger sister, then went back down to the basement and tie herself up again. Shinichi was smart enough to notice the lights went out twice by the narrative of the other kidnapped girl. The older sister killed the younger one out of jealousy and greed. She got caught because she ripped her sister's pearl necklace and one went into her pants' fold. Shinichi noticed the man servant took something from the ground beside the kidnapped sister while untying her.

Shinichi and Lan went to another room, this time there is electricity shocking them.

Lan got shot by a dart with poison, within 5 mintues Shinichi has to think of the solution of his last case dealing with math.

Companionship service girls were fighting over a rich math professor. They were play a game, 2 guys have to compete who gets the top girl at the position of #20 while only choosing up to
3 girls at one time.

The girls all have a wine bottle and they have to pour the wine into the guy's big glass when they are picked. The winner will have to reach girl #16 as the last choice to win the game. Murderess put poison in the wine cup of girl #16 so when the wine gets poured it into the winning guy's cup and then later on drank by the last girl who she wants to murder. Lan's father didn't win of course. Lan was asked by her mother to keep tap on her father's actions. Shinichi found the link between the murderess and the professor.

The top girl got killed because another girl in love with the math professor overheard the conversion between top girl and her boyfriend wanting to extract money from the professor and play him for a fool. The murderess utilized the math skill she learned from the professor and showed off in the math game.

Shinichi was able to solve the puzzle and open the door in time, Lan's father got the antidote from the other room and throw it back to Shinichi. Lan woke up but now they're seperated from Lan's father.

Lan was invited to be in a small segment of a director's new movie. Turned out only Shinichi was used as the male character. Lan was jealous when Shinichi was supposed to kiss the girl. Director told Lan and Shinichi to kiss, but they wouldn't, so the director kissed the actress himself with strong passion. Director's wife walked in and slaps the mistress on the face. The director wants
to have his women get along.

They all sat down to have afternoon tea. Director's wife put a sugar cube in his cup then had a sip herself then gave it back to her husband. Famous director suddenly dropped dead foaming at the mouth. It was cyanide. Everyone thought for sure it was the wife who killed the director, but she fainted when he died. When the wife woke up, she pretended she forgot everything happened and forgot who she was. Director's mistress took out a magazine having the picture of the wife and another young man. The post said that they were dating and then the young man killed himself. Sharp eye Shinichi saw the bracelet on the young man was the same as the maid. Shinichi figured out the maid put cyanide on one edge of every cup. Since director is the only left hanged person, the cyanide only kills him.

The maid was that young man's girlfriend and wanted to frame the wife for killing her husband. The director's wife dumped her boyfriend without introducing him to the movie world and caused him to commit suicide.

What she should of killed was the wife, because the wife just uses people and throw them away. Director's wife wanted her husband dead anyways, the maid just made it happen for her.

Shinichi was invited by Lan's father to a wedding party. Restaurant owner is the groom to be but cheated on his fiancee and got the mistress pregnant. Lan's father wanted the newly wed to kiss. As the party goes on, the mistress who is the friend of the newly weds dies. Turns out the mistress has allergy to
buckwheat.

Since the bride suspect the mistress already and know about her allergy, she put buckwheat powder on her lips when she kissed the groom. The groom later on tried to resolve the baby problem and the mistress wanted another kiss. Mistress died from allergic reaction after drinking wine and taking in the dissolved buckwheat.

To warn single women not to just jump into marriage. This is a real story. It's too much of a drama and the participants are Asians. The names are made up to protect the identity of the characters.

A woman named Charlene was introduced to a guy in Canada by her mom's friend. They started writing to each other and became pen pals. Later on they fell in love, so she travelled all the way from China to Canada to marry this guy Zach.

They had fierce fights
through out their marriage because they never really know each other's habits before getting married. Charlene loved her husband so and think he is her world and everything. They had a son and life seems to be getting better year after year as they grow to know each other.

5 years ago Charlene started to work so she can contribute to the family. For the past year, Zach told her she can just keep on working and maybe he would quit his job and just take care of their son since his wrist hurts very bad from being a chef. Charlene didn't understand why a guy would say that because she thinks a guy should be tough and be the main bread earner of the family. She does understand Zach is in need of a break so she agrees that Zach should go back to China for 3 month to recuperate.

Charlene didn't go to China with Zach because their son was still in the school year. After Zach went to China, Charlene would call Zach but Zach would pick fights with her for no apparent reason. After 3 months Zach said he wanted to stay for another month. Charlene gave him an ultimatum after the 4th month saying if Zach wouldn't come back to Canada to take care of his responsibility as a father then she would have no choice but to divorce him.

Zach was mad at Charlene saying she doesn't appreciate all the years that he was working and supporting the family. Charlene complained her job was quite physical and her wrist also hurts from doing massage on her clients, but bills have to be paid so she continues to work otherwise she would need a vacation too. But Zach doesn't care about work, he just wanted to be divorced and split the money so he can open up a restaurant.

Charlene thought Zach is really stupid. Why would he throw away his family just because he wants a vacation and open up a restaurant. If that's his wish, they could of worked towards the dream together. Charlene finally gave up after all these years. She decided she will let Zach go. If he doesn't want to stay, there is no way that begging would help.

After the divorce, they truth came to light. Zach was in contact with a woman for 2 years. When he went to China for a vacation, the girl wanted him to get a divorce so he did. She can provide the funds for him to open up a restaurant right away instead of him working hard. Zach would lie to his new fiancee that he was never in love with his ex-wife, they only married so she can get Canadian citizenship. He also said that they've being seperated for 3 years at least.

When Charlene told me the story, I was in shock, but I had nothing else to say. She just have to put her tears away, continue to do what she's doing. Maybe she's find someone who can appreciate her and protect her. For now her son doesn't want her to get a boyfriend, so she'll just concentrate on being a good mother at this time.

For all the single women. Marriage doesn't mean happiness. Single doesn't mean there is something wrong with you. You need to find a way to be happy with yourself first.

Autumn's Concerto is the first drama Vanness Wu played the main character. I think Vanness really had a break through in acting. He is not the best looking guy, but he has this charm which makes him really sexy and attractive. At first the drama seemed kind of slow so I wasn't really paying attention. Half way through the drama, the time line fast forwarded to 6 years after, that's when things get interesting. Ren Guang Xi(任光晞), played by Vanness, who became a good lawyer after his brain surgery, came in contact with a girl who he thought he never knew but was actually someone he loved the most. Will he choose his fiancee
or will he choose Liang Mu Cheng (梁慕橙) who his mother forcefully separated from him after his memory loss. Main actress Ady An was very good in her roll. She puts on no makeup except eye liner and mascara. She truly is a natural beauty. Director Chen Hui Ling was surprised that Vanness didn't know how to read Chinese. After some brain storming, Vanness was given a MP3 device with the drama script recorded and dramatized by the director so he can memorize his lines and was able to continue shooting the drama. The end result was an amazing drama. I highly recommend this. The soundtracks were superb as well. Della Ding(丁噹) sang a lot of the songs. The ones I liked the most are: I love him (我愛他), why did you lie (你為什麼說謊), All of a Sudden Want to Love You (突然想愛你)

My thoughts on the story:

This started kind of boring in the first part because it was reviewing the 1st season, but when the game starts, it gets you to think how the game would work and how you can trick people into giving you money. If you like more of an intelligent drama, this is not a bad choice. The game starts with 24 Rensou Russian Roulette. To pull the trigger or not to pull the trigger? Kanzaki Nao think that they might be tricked by the game team even though they seemed to be winning this round. Kanzaki seems kinda slow at times, but maybe she sees things other people don't see. I haven't watched season1 so I don't know what she did to help in the last season. I'm excited about the next episode.

It's another Japanese school drama, turned from the comic books. I just love the Japanese anime, the actors are very attractive and easy on the eyes. I wish there are more episodes, but oh well. I've linked the episodes for streaming. It has Chinese subtitle and original voice.

A little bit of my thought:

I don't know what's the big deal for a man to like cooking, baking, sewing and still be good at the man stuff like being a great swordsman. This drama does have a lot of funny moments.

Nice new drama from Taiwan. This is similar to CSI, but I would it's a lot more fun. The opening and ending songs are really good. Definitely worth checking it out.

Drama starts with a cop thinking he's on the good side and he's totally "pure" and just in whatever he was doing. Later on he found out he's capable of evil as well. On the other hand, the partner cop always trying to get through life the easy way and have fun and is always sitting on the fence. But he might turn out to be the good guy in the end. This is a Taiwanese drama that I really enjoy watching recently. Got tired from watching Korean dramas that just gets me mad because the story doesn't make sense at all. Sometimes i just want to punch the story maker.
Mr. Wong is a broadcasting person on a radio station. He's the only one that can see the ghost of his dead childhood friend who died in US. I like this drama because the story is what can happen or what has already happened in real life, but the whole drama is charismatic and fun, doesn't drag on with one particular scene. In this story, there are 4 friends and they all have different personalities and therefore lots of life stories can be portrait from them. It's bound to please one spectrum of the human generations.

Patti seems to be mentally retarded. She row the boat so fast that it hit the big ship. Kid is worse sometimes. He just want to hit the ship in the middle for symmetry purpose.

Liz tried to rob Kid in Brooklyn and end up being his weapon. Kid even denied a lot of arranged marriages just to have the sisters as weapon.

Little girl ghost tried to help Liz out, but she just keep on going on about how she's going to get eaten. The ghost got fed up and yelled at her.

Ragnarok ate all the souls on the ship. The previous enemy didn't even stand a chance against Ragnarok. The weapon looks different this time. I wonder if it's enough souls to let Chrona become a Demon God.

Kid is doing the Sin Stance. I just want to knock him down with that stance, it's totally unsymmetrical!

Miharu finally remembers this girl Shijima looks like the Shinrabanshou fairy. Yoite is too weak now, Shijima is winning against him.

Thobari treats the enemy too nicely. Yukimi wishes to bland their personalities together so they can be better people, but that's just wishing.

Katarina put a sword in Yoite after tranquilizing Raimei and the little girl. Yoite finally admits that he doesn't want to die. Miharu desperately calls for Shinrabanshou to save Yoite.

Kannuki got the chance to kill Aizawa because Thobari didn't want Aizawa to kill Kannuki. Thobari keeps on talking about protecting people, but he always end up failing. How did Kannuki able to get a gun to Aizawa's head in the first place anyways since Yukimi couldn't even sense his presence before. It's a glitch in the story I guess.

I can't get a clear picture of the ending sequence. Seems like the Shinrabanshou is activating and Miharu is zoned out still. Can't wait for the next episode.
