So about around this time you would usually see the weekly show post. Uhhh yea, about that.....

The funniest thing happened....I accidentally deleted it. For once a tech issue that is actually my fault. Don't ask me how it happened because it will just get me pist off at myself again.

The show wasn't super awesome and it was going to be a short one anyways being that not much was going on but what was awesome was the Rino Nakasone interview that we had, which of course is now gone. But the good news is that Rino is so kind that she agreed to let us interview her one more time. It's going to happen sometime this week, so when we do we'll put it up straight up on our youtube account and also replay it back on next week's show which also happens to be our one year anniversary show.

Again, I apologize for my major fail. Trust me, I've been beating myself up over it ever since last night, ask Betty she'll tell you.

[Blog] Atlanta Trip, Day 1 by: Cyn City

I will start off this blog by saying this, DO NOT DRIVE FROM MIAMI TO ATLANTA. IT TAKES TOO LONG!!

I am utterly exhausted from today's drive. The girls and I got on the highway around 630am. We tried not to make too many stops because we didn't want to hit Atlanta afternoon traffic, from what I hear is hell. The first couple of hours went by smoothly but by hour 6 when we left Gainsville, the drive itself turned into pure hell! I love driving and I've even driven to cities like Orlando and Tampa on my own but this....this was no fun drive.

Thank the shisus for Betty because she stayed up to keep me talking because I really felt like falling asleep a few time. We saw a lot of interesting things like this...

Some dude had Elvis, Marilyn Monroe, & James Dean painted on the back of his truck. Classy.

We also saw a very muscle type of guy with a red pick up truck and on the back window he had painted two dolphins jumping in air during a sun set...I question his masculinity.

Once we got to the northern part of Florida and into the southern part of Georgia, we call that part "KKK ville", all we saw was huge billboard signs with bible quotes and confederate flags...very, very, scary lol.

Once we finally got into Atlanta we were very lucky to find out that we were traveling in the opposite of side of where the really bad traffic was. We finally got to the hotel around 6pm and Betty immediately started complaining of dizziness. Florida is very flat in terms of land as to where Georgia is elevated and has hills. People, let me tell you it's not that high up but for some reason I kinda understood what Betty meant because I kinda felt the same thing as well lol.

Needless to say we didn't do much after we got here we were too tired but we did manage to take a look around the streets of where are hotel is and come to find it out its kinda in K-Town! There are hangul signs EVERYWHERE! Which is knida cool so hopefully we'll be able to check out a few of those places tomorrow.

I'm super sleepy so I'm off to bed. Miyavi concert tomorrow!!!

[Mod] Decisions, Decisions.....

Now that I've finally calmed down and wiped my tears away from our latest "tech issue", the girls and I sat down and talked about what to do about this weeks show.

We will not upload a show this week. There are a few reason's for this. #1 the computer that crashed on us is currently being repaired in the studio. #2 if we were to go into the studio to record the show it wouldn't be available for download till Thursday then for us to go back on Monday again and record another show it wouldn't give you guys out there enough time to listen to this weeks show before the next one.

But you know we're not one to leave people hanging soooooo some of the things you can expect from us this week is a blog by Ana AND Betty!

Also......USTREAM SHOW!!!! We love doing ustream shows because we get to interact with all you lovely people out there. We'll be going LIVE this Thursday the 24th at 8pm EST (check your local time zone).

Good morning to all,

Hope you're having a better day than me. I'm now back at work and I went to check the computer anddddddd of course it's all gone. I'm really trying to remain calm so I don't give myself a heart attack.

So where does that leave us for this weeks show? I really have no idea. To try and recreate the 2 good solid hours that was already recorded will be hard to do and I'm afraid if we do attempt to do it again it might come off bad. I really don't want to skip out on this week because we've already taken two weeks off in the past month.

In the end we most likely will go back into the studio tonight and re record *shrugs*. I'm just beyond over the fucking tech issues and wish I had a shit ton of money to build my own home studio. A girl can wish I guess.

If any changes I'll keep you guys updated.

[Mod] The Tech Gods Hate Us....

I'm writing this at 1:30am and you're probably saying to yourself "Cyn, why are writing a blog instead of finishing the recording of this week's show?" That's a great question! Here's the answer....we were just wrapping up Ana's Otaku corner when something happened...the computer froze. I remained calm and said "Let's restart the comp", so we did. Then I tried to unlock the password which in turn locked me out completely from the computer. Which means that this weeks show potentially is gone forever.

If you've been following the show then you know that we're no strangers to tech issues. It all comes down to the fact that the computer at the radio station is kinda old and shit like this happens. Though it seems like it happens to us all the fucking time!

I'm going to go to bed and pray to Shisus that when I go into work in the morning that the show will magically still be there. If that's the case then all the girls and I would need to do is go in and finish the remaining parts of the show. In the mean time, someone contact Siwon on twitter and tell him to say a little prayer for us.

Now I shall try to go to sleep and not hang myself. I'll update you guys tomorrow morning when I know more.

Another week andddddddd another cancellation.

I'm sorry to do this to you guys but if you've been following our show then you know I caught bronchitis a few months ago. Well every month since then I've had some sort of cold or flu. This month is no exception, only this time this flu was the worst out of all the cold's and flu's I've had before, almost close to how I felt when I caught bronchitis. I've been fighting with it since last week Wednesday. If it was just a simple stuffy nose and headache I would have pushed thru to make the show but I've got issues with my throat to the point where it's been swollen for a few days. Not to mention the on and off fevers.

I'm not saying all this for you guys to feel sorry for me or anything but to show you that we wouldn't skip out on a show if there wasn't a real reason for it. We promise no matter what, we will be back on next week.

[Blog] What About Us Old People? by: Cyn City

So let’s talk about something that bugs me, entertainment companies that put an age restriction on those who audition. I’m sure you’ve heard about the YG audition that’s going on in Korea, New York, & LA. While I was reading the flyer I noticed that for singers the age qualification is 11-19 years old….WTF? I mean I’m pretty damn sure there are plenty of talented singers over the age of 19.

Now, I can understand that being a trainee can take a few years depending on the person and how rough around the edges they are. I also understand that “idol age” is pretty young because they have to cater to a certain demographic but still, that’s discrimination. To be honest not all the idols are THAT talented. I could think of other people who might be better singers or actors.

I mean look at Susan Boyle. Great example of someone who went on a talent show and people laughed at her even before she started singing and the second she opened her mouth and that voice came out jaws dropped. I’m a big believe of you don’t have to be a size 0 and full of plastic to make it big in this business. You just need TALENT.

I might sound like I’m coming off a bit bitter but…ok, fuck it! Yes, I’m bitter! Lol I actually kinda sorta still have this “dream” of being a singer and making a name for myself. Obviously at the moment I don’t have the “idol” look but I think I have the vocal chops for it. So even if I did apply for YG or any entertainment company they wouldn’t even give me a second look the moment they see how old I am. I’m only 26! I’m not old!!!

I can’t believe I’m about to post this but…*sigh*, sometime last year I entered the MySpace karaoke contest. It was a contest going on where the winner got a chance to fly out to Tokyo and meet with Utada Hikaru herself. Needless to say I didn’t win but not a lot of people around me knew I could sing or anything so it was kinda a shock to them that I did this. So as embarrassing as this is (no really, I’m suppppper embarrassed at the moment) I’m going to post the video here. You can be real with me and tell me if I suck or not. Keep in mind that I put this crappy video together in like 10 minutes because I wanted to make the contest deadline so the audio levels aren’t right. Hello beautiful people of the world. How's everyone doing?

Well I hate to be the barrier of bad news but....there will be no show this week. There are several reasons for this.

#1 There isn't shit going on. Like really, you've heard the past few shows, it's been nothing but randomness lol. I kept a close eye on the news stories coming in this past week and nothing really of note happened.

Reason #2. Today is Memorial Day here in the states. The girls and I are planning on having ourselves a little BBQ in order to relax a little. Betty unfortunately has to work today which is also another reason why we're not doing a show this week because we do record our shows on Monday nights. Also, I'm off today and tomorrow and the last thing I want to do is go to my job and see people on my day off, lol.

I know a lot of you guys are a little backed up in the shows due to school or work so this is the perfect chance in order for you guys to catch up.

Next week when we come back you'll hear a different show. We'll have new opens, more sounds and......GUEST!!! That's right! GUEST! We've been working hard to get some great people on the show for an interview. We've got singers, actors, comedians, dancers and so many more great people that I'm reaching out to in order to come on our show. One more thing you got to look forward to on the first show of the summer is....APOPA's first parody song!! That's right, a parody song!

We'll have blog post and maybe a ustream chat this week. So no worries!

So this week we'll sit this one out and recharge our batteries because what we've got in stored for u guys this summer will be epic!
