“It really comes down to covering your bases,” advises Kelby Woodard, principle of import consulting firm http://TradeInnovations.com. “There are some common-sense precautions you can take to limit your liability and protect your business interests.” He offers the following insights:

1. Start in phases. Don’t just jump on the Internet and place a large order with a company you haven’t vetted. Take your time, research potential suppliers, and start with small orders.

2. Consider starting out importing from a country that’s close in proximity, like Mexico or Canada. Countries in South or Central America or the Caribbean basin, for example, will tend to have easier logistics than Pacific or Asian countries. And many of them have free trade agreements, as well, so they provide the additional competitive advantage of being duty-free.

3. Do your homework. In 1992, Congress passed a law that made the U.S. government responsible for making all necessary knowledge on Customs regulations available to importers, either by website or publication. This concept is known as informed compliance. There are several online resources that can help you learn more about your responsibilities in this area:

• http://CPB.gov is the official website for the Customs and Border Patrol. As part of the agency’s official informed compliance requirements, their site offers a great deal of education regarding different regulations.

• http://TRGDirect.com offers information for companies or individuals interested in learning how to file their customs entries directly (without the services of a Customs Broker).

• http://TradeBridgeInternational.com provides a tremendous amount of knowledge geared towards helping small- to medium-sized importers.

• http://TradeInnovations.com provides direct information on the subject of importing, as well as numerous links to other helpful sites.

4. Use a third party validation firm to inspect the quality of your products and ensure that they meet all applicable U.S. requirements. While you can’t outsource your liability, you can get expert help with the process.

5. As you increase your importing volume, you might think about sourcing your products from multiple countries. If one country develops quality assurance problems or customs issues, you’re not cut off from your only product source.

6. Watch your buying terms. If your purchase agreement states that you’re buying your products FOB (Free on Board), then your supplier is responsible for getting your goods through the export customs process. However, if the terms state that you’re buying X works, then you take possession of the goods at the manufacturer’s shipping door. That means you’re responsible for knowing the export regulations of the country in which that manufacturer is located. So pay attention to your agreement, and make sure you’re comfortable with the terms before you sign.

7. Keep thorough, accurate records. You need to have those records and documentation available, whenever Customs asks for it. This will not only help protect you legally, it will also speed up the time it takes to get your goods cleared through Customs.

Informed compliance and legal liability may sound rather like rather daunting terms. But don’t let them scare you away from realizing the tremendous deals importing can supply. It’s really just a matter of taking some very simple steps to mitigate your risk. Says Woodard, “If you do your due diligence, you really don’t have to worry. The benefits far outweigh any extra effort that’s required.”

First we have to identify the problem and know what signs we have evidence of. Headache is a big one, Eyestrain and Fatigue are also large signs after you try and see something off in the distance but cant make it out. There are a number of theories, but some are superior than others because some adhere to a few simple principals that will be outlined below.

The body is a machine. It is built for adaptation, procreation, and survival. This is what has kept us alive as a race for the millennia. The problem is that only recently has our sedentary lifestyle demanded that we lose extra energy that we store as fat around our waist, thighs, and other places. When we used to hunt for food, we not only ate more nutritious food, but we worked very hard, burning many calories acquiring every meal.

None of us has any trouble ordering a fast meal at a local diner, and this has led to the accumulation of fat in the body that has unsightly and unhealthy consequences. So how will you go about losing this fat? Well, fat is essentially stored energy. In order to get rid of it all, you need to do is burn more of it than you replace through eating. Sounds simple? Well, ask anyone who has ever dieted and you will soon find it isn’t anywhere near as simple as it seems.

Why? Because many people focus on long bouts of cardio which do burn energy, but do not increase metabolism. The key to truly losing weight and building muscle is increasing metabolism, or your body’s rate of burning fat; while also increasing the rate at which your body builds muscle. Here are some tips that will help you.

The first aspect is diet. I am sure many of you have tried dieting without much success. Well, your body is an adaptive machine. If you would like it to burn fat while you are sitting watching television of reading the paper, it will. Believe it or not, all your body needs is the proper queue to increase its basal metabolic rate, or the rate it burns energy while resting.

You can actually make your body burn more fat than it normally does, but you wont achieve this by running for miles on end. No, a more sound approach would be to do intense BURSTS of anaerobic activity, namely sprinting for about 20 seconds, then jogging for about 20 seconds, then repeating this 5 times twice. If you do this, your body will believe it has become necessary to sprint for survival. Sprinting requires a large amount of energy, and your body while preparing itself to always be ready for a life or death sprint will keep a lot of energy ready for the burning, and in the meantime will burn much more calories than it usually does.

Don’t believe it? Check out any sprinters physique and get back to me. So take home point-do not worry about what you put in as much as what you put out. The second major influence is your training habits. You need to focus on performing some intense work at least three times per week. I am sure this sounds low to many of you. Well, instead of jogging for an hour each day, do sprints every other day for a total of 10 minutes and you will reap benefits that will astonish you.

If you want to build muscle, the sprinting actually increases the amount of growth hormone your body produces, so yes, sprinting coupled with sound resistance training is your ticket to burning fat while feeding the muscle. Do not take it from me, get out there and train!

Paraffin wax is the primary leader in candle making today. Once you heat this wax or any other wax you can get for candle making, you must place it in a container.
