Guys, I don't know where his gripes with reporters comes from, but he sure ain't worth talkin' to. Yeah, he had one hell of a touchdown run lookin' like an outta control tow truck, but if he's gonna pull a dummy act like that, well hell, they shouldn't bother with him.

Well that's a mullet-scratcher for sure Delia. We all know Rondo can walk at the end of the season but I think Mark Cuban wouldn't send all those folks to Beantown without havin' somethin' up his sleeve. Anytime you can trade a bunch of seat warmers for a proven star 'ya gotta go with it. I remember when I was still toyin' with engines the Lakers and Bucks made a big deal - Kareem for Brian Winters, Mel Bridgeman, Elmore Smith, and David Myers. Guess who got the better of that one! So now 'ya got Rondo join' the likes of Dirk Nowitski, Monta Ellis, Tyson Chandler and Chandler Parsons. Ain't too shabby if 'ya ask me. But the Celtics came away with some good stuff too -- they got a number one and number two pick and now they got eight first rounders in the next four years. Unless you're the Knicks you sure can build a team with that.

Good question Ned. It sure ain't fair to judge a man by just one game. But if you do, I'd have to say he's shot to hell. Aside from getting whacked 30-0 by Cincy he sure looked like a whooped school boy. I mean 80 yards and two picks -- they had that boy runnin' around like a baby with his diaper on fire! Those Browns had their offense on the field for only 20 minutes. But 'ya know what? Tomorrow's another day. And even if that tomorrow comes next Sunday at Carolina I think he's learned a lot. Ain't quite sure though if it's enough to keep him startin'.

Let me begin by saying I love that name- Sindy with an "S", man is that hot! I once knew a Sindy who tended bar at Hooters. Damn...But I digress. My congrats to Peyton Manning for getting $96 million even with that sore neck of his. But you know what? The Broncos made a good move. Tim Tebow got lots of help from the Man Above during that eight game winning streak, but John Elway is a man who knew how to throw a football and he knew Timmy's throwing motion just wasn't right. Maybe for Pop Warner but not for the Big Show. So I think if Peyton can stay upright the Broncos will be a factor in the AFC West.

Glad you asked C & C - I was planning on having just a few of the boys over to watch the game - just got a new 32" HDTV the Sunday prior, but Layla, my second ex decided to bring over three of her girlfriends from her place of business. And they didn't come alone! With them came a helpin' of food including plenty of stuff that was brown and hot. Well needless to say I ate a bunch of it and sure 'nuff came the final four minutes and I can't get off the throne! So I had to have them blast the volume to the max while I sat there cursin' every minute of it! Didn't matter to me who won, but it was good seeing Eli get himself a second ring. Had to watch the celebration highlights on the 11:00 o'clock news with Earl Peters. Next year I'm lockin' the door and it'll be just me and 'ol Jack.

Mung: Thanks for asking, Steve. Been up to lots, by my standards anyway. Started my fantasy football league for one. Also got to fixin' up my boat - the bottom's pretty wore out and I got to use that rubber stuff in the spray can advertised on late night tv - works pretty good! And lastly, my sister had her fifth kid. Named her Doreen. Nine pounds and seven ounces of pure bouncin' fun.

Mung: I don't think there's any team I can think of who I think came up smelling worse than a bar rag than the Florida Marlins. Man, I went to the game the other day when they played the Reds and there must've been no more than 200 butts in the seats. The good part of that was I had plenty of beer for myself. But no wonder, they've had more ups and downs this year than Chang at Six Flags in Kentucky. Firstly, they got hot, then they lost almost all their games in June, fired their manager and rehired 80-year-old Captain Jack and got over .500. Then good 'ol Jack's magic wore off and now they're fixin' to finish August with chances worse than a Middle East dictator!
