There are a variety of laptop bag on the market, all you have to do is walk into a computer outlet or fire up your browser and have a look around and you can find tens of different ones. You can get them in all shapes and sizes, but I did come across one on sale from Buy.com that looks like it could take all your bits and pieces and then some.

It’s the Kensington 15″ SaddleBag Pro Notebook Carrying Case and currently retails for under $30. It has one great feature which I think you’ll like, check out the photo below:

Yup, it has a drawer that sites at the bottom of the case letting you store all your cables, peripherals and other bits and pieces in case you ever need them. The comments on the site look pretty positive, most people saying it’s light and rugged, so I think you might like this one.

There are a couple of things to check, including making sure you have the most recent drivers for your computer and devices. However there is one thing you could check first. USB ports typically provide 500mA per port, which is fine for most devices. Hard disk however have a pretty high drain, in fact, some even come with a cable that plugs into 2 separate USB ports, just to make sure they have enough power.

If your USB hub doesn’t have a separate power supply, then my guess would be that you are exceeding the power that is being provided by the port; which essentially causes the port to fail. The best way to address this is to use a USB hub that has its own power supply and see if your problems go away.

The other thing to check out is that the USB hub isn’t over heating. I had a friend who would sit her hub on a tub of anti wrinkle cream, just to make sure it got as much air ciculation around it as possible.

I’m afraid you’re facing a serious problem with your computer, due to some sort of hardware malfunction. Computers using beep codes when something is preventing them from starting up, usually some sort of problem with one of the components that are necessary for it to start up. And don’t think that putting on your best face cream and going to bed to try again tomorrow will be any help. This sort of problem won’t go away on its own!

Fixing the problem depends on what the exact beep code is, but usually involves swapping out the faulty part for a working one. The first thing you need to do is figure out what the issue it, and resolving the beep codes depends on what sort of BIOS your computer has. Check out the start up screen and see if you spot the words Amibios (American Megatrends) or Phoenix on it. You can find the beep codes and what they mean here.

By default, each Internet browser will try and make itself your default browser. It’s just their way of trying to make sure you use them; but this can be quite annoying, just like someone who keeps ringing your doorbell and then running off. Here’s what you can do to make the reminders go away.

Start IE and refuse the offer for it to become your default browser. Click on the Tools button and choose Internet Options. Click on the Programs tab and then click on the check box labelled: “Tell me if Internet Explorer is not the default browser” so that the tick disappears. Click OK to save your options.

The great thing about hardware today is that it’s relatively each to find pretty much anything you may be looking for. Label printers used to be a bit of a novelty, at least in the home market, and commercial printers used to be pretty expensive. As you can imagine, AVG would be happy for you to purchase a copy of AVG, so they tend to make the free one a bit harder to find. It’s there on the website, but you need to make sure you’re looking in the right place. Go to the AVG Free page and click on the link shown below:

Note that while the free version provides adequate security, the paid-for versions have a few more features that the free version doesn’t. So, if you’re interested in anti-spam because you’ve been receiving email about human growth hormone for example, you may want to consider a paid-for version. There are other packages out there that can also help you; but if it’s proving useful, it’s worth considering.

It’s always a good idea to wipe clean your hard disk before you pass it on to someone. Can you just imagine the harm that someone could do if they got their hands on all your data? And this is even more the case if you’re passing it on to a complete stranger.

So, how do you get down to it? Deleting your files is a start; but it may surprise you to know that when you delete a file, your computer doesn’t actually delete it; it just deletes a pointer to it and marks the space as available. There are a number of tools on the market that let you undelete files; so you really need something a bit more aggressive; something that permanently wipes the data by overwriting it with garbage. There is a trend recently, to try and suggest ways the issue can be rectified, but not many packages do this (Windows being a notable exception). You may get an automated response back, which can help you resolve your issue; so it’s worth sending in your report.

Your report actually does go back to the developers; whether it’s Microsoft or an Orange County computer support firm, though it is usually aggregated with the reports from other users. computers are complicated things, and the more clues developers get to fix problems, the easier it gets for them. It does help the company diagnose and repair the problem. You may not get an immediate response from the company; but your problem may be fixed in the next release.

As you’ve probably figured out by now, your computer should be powerful enough to be able to handle most things you can throw at it. However, some games are bit more graphically intensive than others and the way to help them out is to get some dedicated graphic hardware. A lot of computers come with on-board graphic adapters which are not always optimised for the sort of high performance that is needed by some games. You can pick up a decent graphical card without breaking the bank.

The one thing for sure is that you’ll see a great difference in the graphical abilities of your computer, and World of Warcraft will look like it’s never looked before.
