Varicose Vein Surgery Side Effects

Please, Would you highlight to me the side effects of Varicose Vein Surgery (( stripping of the Great Saphinous Vein )). i'm suffering medium stage varicose in my left leg. The Vein is enlarged at the Ancle & top part of the thigh. Appreciate if you give me details about what is happening after the surgery & the risk of infection for the deeper veins by the varicose after the surgery (( take in your consideration that the deep veins are now efficient & not infected by varicos at any level )).....

Many thanks for help

What Lens I Want To Buy?

I have a Canon Digital Rebel XSi 12.2 MP and currently I'm using the lens that came with it in a kit. It's great but I want to get a better lens. One that is affordable and is great for taking different kinds of photos in general.

The lens that came with my Rebel XSi, the EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS lens is just perfect for what I want do do.

I know that every working photographer has a bunch of lenses but they only use a couple. One guy I know has only uses a lens about 85 mill or so. I don't know if hauling around a bunch of lenses determined his style or if his style determined only using a few if not just one lens. I tend to think that a person gets used to a certain look and they look for opportunities that use that.

For example, If you take mainly landscapes, then you might want to consider a wide angle lens. These lenses let you capture more by broadening the angle of view and increasing the depth of field bringing more area into focus. By expanding the apparent distance between the foreground and background, they provide a unique perspective. Their exceptional compactness allows for greater mobility.

If you take mainly portraits, then you might want to get a couple of prime lenses with focal ranges like 50mm or 85mm.

If you like macro then macro lenses will be your choice, to bring small things into full-sized view. Macro lenses can uncover detail that would be impossible to detect by the eye and give new perspective to extremely minute subjects such as insects or the petals of a small flower.

If you like to take shots of things far away like birds, then a telephoto lens like the 70-200mm or the 70-300mm might be good. Telephoto lenses not only let you close-in on a subject, but also allow you to zoom in on a subject that you cannot get close to. The longer focal lengths effectively compress the distance between the subject and camera to capture the details and the feeling of a far-off scene.

If you like to take shots of architectural images, then a tilt-shift lens might be good. These lenses expand photographic possibilities. Tilt movements allow you to obtain a wide depth of field even at the maximum aperture and still keep the entire subject in focus. Shift movements correct the trapezoidal effect seen in pictures taken of tall objects, so as not to distort the subject.

I today wonder what lens I want to buy. What lens should I use for everyday shots that take quality images?

I was thinking of getting Sigma but I'm not too sure. I will be to look at some tests before buying the lens.

The scene in Las Vegas was much quieter than in past years. But, there were a few products that deserve recognition as the Cream of the Crop from CTIA 2009.

1. Samsung Mondi Internet tablet
2. TC Snap Windows Mobile smartphone
3. HTC Magic Android phone
4. Nokia E71x
5. LG Xenon
6.
Octo Sleeve For The Amazon Kindle 2

The Cole Haan covers are stunning. I'm quite happy with it. It is secure and fits well and, and while it is luxurious, it is of great quality.

But frankly speaking, I earlier wanted the slimmest case possible so as to take up as little space in my bag as possible. I also didn't want the traditional binder cover that others are buying because I wanted the flexibility to hold the Kindle at any angle and it seemed to me that a binder cover would add bulk to the Kindle.

I found the perfect cover for my new Kindle 2 yesterday. It's fancy, and it came in fun colors (Wine, Black, Navy, Brown), that really make it perfect.... but in fact I don't much care for the color... BUT it's the slimmest option for protecting my Kindle 2. I was impressed with the Octo sleeve as soon as has seen it. This was the exact product I was looking for.

Which Camera Is Better For Beginner?

If you is interested in wildlife, landscapes and portrait photography, and thought which camera to buy. You unsure which camera is better for beginner. You new to photography. You have planned to buy a easier camera because you thought that you could skip a step and go directly to a more expensive camera.

You wondering if you should order the easier camera first and when you learn more about photography, get the more expensive camera. Do you think the easier camera would be a good camera to learn on?

So, you need know ... any camera it's a tool...

Is one hammer easier than another..?
Is one table saw easier than another..?

Yes, and I would recommend to start with the easier camera. You can got the same quality, more features, while paying a lot less. I think the easier camera would be a better tool fit for a beginner.

I have just purchased an Canon Digital Rebel XSi 12.2 MP Digital SLR Camera with EF-S 18-55mm to replace my Canon EOS Rebel 2000 35mm. I must say, that it's got a lot of great features and costs a lot less than a more expensive camera.

Now I shoot kids, pets (dogs, dog shows) and some sports. By the way, no matter what the third party people tell you, stick with canon lenses, you won't be sorry, sure they are a bit more, but who knows canon better than canon??

My friend has the older Canon Digital Rebel XT 8MP Digital SLR Camera and even it gives us great shots! I am loving my XSi, though, so I'd say it's a great way to start... !

Barack Obama's Budget/Stimulus Plan

Huge ambitions, huge obstacles and many comment about it . I hear and read about the Obama's budget everywhere.

Obama says his budget that he will unveil will cut deficit spending by 50% by the year 2013. Also President Barack Obama while tackling the economic crisis, is asking Congress to enact contentious measures that have been debated, but not decided, in calmer times: combat global warming with a pollution tax on industries; cut subsidies for big farms; raise taxes on the wealthy; make big changes to health care, including lower reimbursements for Medicare and Medicaid treatments and prescription drugs.

Many is say that President Obama is living in his own little dream world, that he is wildly optimistic, that Obama's budget/stimulus plan isn't going to work and it isn't fair - especially to the financially successful and it will take away people's will to succeed. But I can't agree with these comments.

I love are other comments: "We're struck with how bold and courageous a budget it is," said James Horney of the liberal Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, which supports the president. "There are a whole lot of things that are going to be extremely difficult because there are very powerful vested interests out there that will fight them." I agree with James 100%.

Spending is the only thing that will pull all of us out of this crisis. Those who think that spending is bad, they are still living under a rock like they did for last 8 years.

I know, the deficit WILL grow. No doubt about that. This is something which will be purely unavoidable to fix this economy. But the budget is promising. It is going to work great on a long run, if implemented properly. Implementing this properly is the primary responsibility of all those congressmen who are for or against this budget.

About tax cuts, most people, those who earn less then $250,000 per year, won't see any tax raises.

Yes, I agree with much of it and I still support it.

You can go to news.yahoo.com and watch it.

I can only hope the American people in general will pull their heads out of the sand and do something to stop the downhill slide we are on!!

It was packed with honest and hopeful information. You can go to www.cnn.com and watch it.

President Obama says, that Nation "will emerge stronger" ! The United States will overcome its current economic struggles!

In his first speech to a joint session of Congress, President Obama outlined an ambitious agenda to revive the economy, saying it's time to act boldly "to build a new foundation for lasting prosperity."

That is sad. He is taking on the most difficult situation of our country we have had in our lifetime. It's a job I wouldn't want for any amount of money! I appreciate the fact he speaks to the American people with honesty and keeps us informed, unlike anything we have been use to in too many years to remember.

His speech was honest, to the point, on the state of the economy and all the different sectors which need to be corrected and new ideas implemented to get this country started again. He put forth his ideas on how the stimulus will begin being dispersed, getting on track with insurance for all citizens, going through the federal budget line by line and removing all waste, and well almost an hour of very clear, concise information.

Will President Obama be capable of rescuing american economy? Yes! Let's hope so ... He keeps saying, "Yes we can..." - so we gotta give him a chance.

New kindle 2 Covers

I took the plunge! I have pre-ordered mine new Kindle 2 two weeks ago. My new expected Kindle arrives on Tuesday February 24th (according to the shipping tracker). I am already convinced I want now to find the best cover for it. There are several places, also there is a fairly good discussion of the different kinds of covers available, but I am not sure about what's the best.

Now is available a wide variety of Kindle 2 accessories, including new covers from Cole Haan, Patagonia, M-edge, GelaSkins, Vangoddy, Belkin and more.

For example: Cole Haan has many Hand-Woven Leather Covers for Kindle 2 that are indeed stylish, although they are rather pricey. This custom covers, made exclusively in India of hand-stained New Zealand leather.

I should say that they are not for those who would rather have something mass produced in China or for those who don't care to stand out from the crowd or draw attention. They are absolutely beautiful! I figured many might start ordering it. There is a strong chance that you will be quite unique as it is are rather pricey. For those of you who don't know, Cole Haan is amazing and is actually worth the price you would pay for their stuff. I have one of their purses and about 5 pairs of shoes. The purse is the softest thing I've ever touched and the shoes make my feet sing. Seriously, their leather is like butter.

Patagonia Book Case for Kindle 2, is nice, but I think it needs handle, like a wristlet purse. The Case is designed with padded, internal compartments to keep the Kindle 2, the power adapter, the clip light, and any additional accessories tangle-free. Self-locking zipper on a front pocket ensure that contents stay in. Most probably it's may be wonderful for protecting my Kindle 2. But, I still think..

Belkin Neoprene Case and Nomadic Polyvinyl Messenger Bag, are is other are uniquely designed products for Kindle 2.

Nomadic Compact Stylish Polyvinyl Bag is a carrying bag, made as a pouch style opening with drawstring for an easy access and 5 multi-use interior pockets covered by a secure velcro closure. It is Ultra-light and Slim so I can carry it wherever I go.

Belkin case made of high-grade leather and neoprene fabric in stylish black color. I think that is a wonderful case, but there has to be a better cover than the Belkin for a wonderful product like my new Kindle 2.

Next, M-Edge Kindle covers they look lovely. I have an older M-Edge case for my kindle 1 and I do wish they'd change the closure. I wish the closure was magnetic instead of just a flap - like some of the journals you can buy in bookstores.

The new M-Edge luxurious leather Jackets allows access to all ports and buttons on the Kindle 2 and are is compatible with the M-Edge e-Luminator booklight. It has a solid front and back construction and can be used as a bookstand for upright, hands-free reading. My friend purchased the red case and I have to say it is VERY nice. It is a really nice soft buttery leather, the smell of leather alone is wonderful, the feel of it in my hands is sensual - I like it a lot, but I would prefer other brand in leather.

Yes, I want to buy a new cover for my Kindle - 2, but I am still not sure about what's the best cover for me.
I am struggling to continue searches.

My friend recently donated his kidney to his brother.
Very nice gesture on his part.

But Now I look article By ALEX DOMINGUEZ "Md. surgeons remove donated kidney through vagina" - Mon,Feb 2 and I can't believe it. Can it be true, that surgeons removed a woman's kidney through her vagina so she could give it to her ailing niece, an unusual operation they hope will encourage others to donate because it reduces pain, scarring and recovery time. Doctors at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine said donor Kimberly Johnson, 48, and her niece, Jennifer Gilbert, 23, were both doing well following operations Thursday.

"It was easier than childbirth," said Johnson, who has three children. Incredible! I doubt it!!

The Best Method For Cleaning A Decanter With A Long Neck

If you inherited a crystal decanter with a long neck and big round base.. It's beautiful, but has frosty looking residue at the bottom. It looks like maybe hard water deposits. It has a slim neck, oh the neck is very long and narrow, so you can't reach down in it.

The best method for cleaning a decanter with a long neck ... believe it or not...

Ice cubes and salt work great. If you have any deposits at the bottom. Just swirl a little bit of ice and quite a bit of salt around at the bottom. And you can just add some soap to that to make sure it's disinfected. Then you just dump it out and rinse.

If you have any deposits from old flowers, throw a little vinegar and water in, then add a 1/2 cup of dry rice. Shake it around for a while and it should be clean. The rice will help clean like the brush would if it was long enough.

For stains that have been left sitting, I am recommends filling the glass with warm water, putting in a denture-cleaning tablet, and letting it dissolve. It will get rid of the stain instantly.

Also lemon juice and salt, It never fails.
You can use the cheapest concentrated lemon juice sold in bottles for cooking and pour into decanter. Add a large heaped tables poonful of salt. Swill vigorously then leave for a while. Come back and swill again at intervals when in the kitchen, then leave overnight. You can use the solution the following morning to clean a crystal decanter.

If you wanted to dry the inside and wouldn't have water spots on a decanter. You can tried chopsicks and towels and all sorts of things (including a hair drier) but still may see leaves spots. The best way I found was after washing a decanter - to rinse the inside with a little rice wine vinegar (or white vinegar) and then rinse with distilled water and let it dry upside down. Using distilled water will dry faster and prevents spotting. This is now the standard way to clean decanters at my kitchen.

Hope this works for you as well as it did for me!

What New Digital Camera Should I Buy

When buying a new digital Camera, the options can be is not expected. There are so many cameras out there it is difficult to say, what is better. But there are two very important things you should keep in mind.

First of all, a home digital cameras or cameras for first-time isn't designed for business or professional used. Home digital cameras often do not have enough optical resources or the right business applications. If you have a camera for first-time, you should purchase a second one that is appropriately designed for advanced users. A 2 - 3 MP camera isn't going to give you acceptable sized prints for hanging on your wall - unless you'll be satisfied with 4x6. You'll want at least 6 to 8mp to successfully make large prints and even then you'll want to use the highest resolution your camera allows.

Secondly, regardless of the type of camera you buy - digicam or DSLR - you'll still need to spend some time to READ AND STUDY the Owner's Manual for it. IMO 90% of the problems people have with their cameras is due to Operator Error - they simply do not know how to use the camera. A few hours with the Owner's Manual will save many many hours of frustration and/or disappointment.

I suggest you visit a professional camera store and seek the advice of a trained salesperson. Then buy your camera from that salesperson. Some camera stores even offer an hour or two of hands-on instruction with your purchase. You also can to get that on-line from at BestBuy or Circuit City or Nstuf or other online shops.

Now here are some tips to get you started.
What gives a camera its picture quality?

The short answer is that it is mostly the skill of the photographer that produces high quality pictures. The lens and camera are very important, but the ability to set the scene, adjust the cameras settings, and hold the camera very still or use a tripod with auto or remote shutter actuation when required is what gets the great pictures.

Many of the new cameras come with different parameters:

Megapixel resolution for photo-quality.

More is better? Not always. Without a doubt, higher-resolution digital cameras from the same manufacture with the same optics will produce sharper, cleaner pictures - most new brand name consumer digital cameras sold now are high-resolution, and most people are not using their full capabilities as is!

Optical zoom.

Optical zoom is nice, but do not be fooled - More and more camera manufacturers are choosing to label their digital cameras with the total (optical + digital) zoom.

Camera Size and weight

These parameters are very important - after all you plan to take your camera somewhere, and you do not want to carry a brick in your pocket.

Finally, if you are not sure about what new digital camera you need for you, this is the time to speak with a consultant. Good luck on your search and I hope you find the camera that is right for you.

Can A 18V Alligator Lopper Cut Dried Wood?

We bought a new house that has three trees down and they are very dried. I asked the previous owners when they had been cut, and they said a year or so ago.
These trees are about 4 - 6 inches diameter.
Could I use a 18V Alligator Lopper to cut them down into pieces that I can split for firewood or better use a chain saw?
