Essay – (250 marks)

To be written in the medium or language of the candidate’s choice. The candidate is required to write an essay on a specific topic, the choice of subjects will be given.

I. Indian culture shall cover the salient aspects of art forms, literature and architecture from ancient to modern times.

Interview test • 275 marks

The candidate will be interviewed by a board who have before them a record of his career. H: will be asked questions on matters of general interest. The object of the interview is to assess the personal suitability of the candidate for a career in public service by a board of competent and unbiased observers. The test is intended to judge the mental calibre of a candidate. In broad terms this is really an assessment of not only his intellectual qualities but also social traits and his interest in current affairs.

Some of the qualities to be judged are mental alertness, critical powers of assimilation, clear and exposition, the balance of judgment, variety and depth of interest, the ability for social cohesion and leadership, intellectual and moral integrity.

The technique of the interview is not that of a strict cross-examination but of a natural, though directed and purposive conversation which is intended to reveal the mental qualities of the candidate.

The interview test is not intended to be a test either of the specialized or general knowledge of the candidates which has been already tested through their written papers, candidates are expected to have taken an intelligent interest not only in their special subjects of academic study but also in the events which are happening around them both within and outside their own state or the country as well as in modern currents of thought and in new discoveries which should arouse the curiosity of well-educated youth.

ভাষা এটা ভালদৰে শিকিবলৈ হ’লে শ্ৰবণ, কথন, পঠন আৰু লিখন এই চাৰিটা অৱস্থা অতিক্ৰম কৰিব লাগিব। এই কেইটাৰ সুষম বিকাশৰ ওপৰতেই ভাষাৰ জ্ঞান নিৰ্ভৰশীল। শ্ৰৱণৰ দ্বাৰা এটা ভাষা বুজিব পৰা যায়। পঠনৰ দ্বাৰা সাহিত্য বা গ্ৰন্থক হৃদয়ঙ্গম কৰিব পাৰি আৰু লিখনৰ দ্বাৰা মনৰ ভাব-অনুভূতিক ঠিকমতে প্ৰকাশ কৰিব পাৰি। সেয়ে ভাষা শিক্ষাৰ ক্ষেত্ৰত উক্ত চাৰিটা স্তৰৰ বিশেষ গুৰুত্ব আছে।

• কেৱল শব্দ, বাক্য ফুটাই পঢ়িলেই নহ’ব৷ সিবোৰে কি কথা বুজাইছে, কি অর্থ বহন কৰিছে তাকো জানিব লাগিব৷ তেতিয়াহে প্রকৃততে পঠন হ’ব৷

ভাষাবিদসকলে পঠন কার্যৰ লগত তিনিটা গুৰুত্বপূর্ণ দিশ জড়িত হৈ থকাৰ কথা উল্লেখ কৰিছে৷ সেইকেইটা হ’ল–

• লিখিত আখৰ আৰু অন্যান্য প্রতীক বা চিহ্ণবোৰ চিনি পোৱা৷

• এই আখৰ/প্রতীকবোৰে কি ধ্বনি বা ধ্বনিসমষ্টিক কি ধৰণে, কি নিয়মে সজ্জিত হোৱা বুলি বুজাইছে তাক জনা৷

• পঠনীয় বিষয়ৰ অর্থ উদ্ধাৰ কৰা৷

কিতাপ পঢ়াৰ অন্তৰালত চাৰিটা বিশেষ দিশ জড়িত হৈ থাকে যেনে–
(ক) নজনা কথা জানিবৰ বাবে পঠন

(খ) অভিজ্ঞতা সঞ্চয়ৰ বাবে পঠন

(গ) আনন্দ উপভোগৰ বাবে পঠন আৰু

(ঘ) অৱসৰ–বিনোদনৰ বাবে পঠন৷

পঠন কৌশল দুই প্ৰকাৰৰ - সৰৱ পঠন আৰু নীৰৱ পঠন।
আনে শুনাকৈ ফুটাই পঢ়িলে সেয়া সৰৱ পঠন আৰু মুখেৰে কোনো ধৰণৰ শব্দ নকৰাকৈ পঢ়িলে সেয়া নীৰৱ পঠন হয়।

সৰৱ পঠন
সৰৱ পঠনত কোনোৱে ডাঙৰ ডাঙৰকৈ পঢ়িলে বাকীবোৰে শুনিব পাৰে আৰু প্রয়োজনমতে পঠনীয় পাঠটো নিজৰ চকুৰে চায়ো যাব পৰা যায়। সৰৱ পঠন কৌশলৰ ই এক ডাঙৰ সুবিধা। সাধাৰণতে সৰৱ পঠনত পঢ়োতাই একান্তমনে মন-কাণ দিহে পঠনীয় পাঠটো পঢ়িব লগা হয়। সৰৱ পঠন কৌশল আয়ত্ত কৰিবলৈ হ’লে দৃশ্যমান লিখিত প্রতীক বা আখৰবোৰ চিনিব পৰাটো প্রয়োজনীয় আৰু লগতে এইবোৰৰ শুদ্ধ উচ্চাৰণ কৰিব জানিব লাগিব।

নীৰৱ পঠন

কোনো পাঠ বা ৰচনা পঢ়ুৱৈজনে মুখেৰে কোনো ধৰণৰ শব্দ নকৰাকৈ বা গুণ্‌গুণনি নোতোলাকৈ মনে মনে পঢ়া কাযঁই হৈছে নীৰৱ পঠন। নীৰৱ পঠনৰ ক্ষেত্ৰত প্ৰত্যেকে মনে মনে নিজেহে পঢ়ে আৰু এই পঠনত কোনো শ্ৰোতা নাথাকে।

বহলাৰ্থত নীৰৱ পঠনৰ ব্যৱহাৰ পাঁচটা। সেইকেইটা হ’ল—
(ক) জৰীপ অধ্যয়ন- অধ্যয়ন কৰিবলগীয়া পাঠ সমীক্ষণ কৰা আৰু নিৰ্ঘণ্ট, অধ্যায়ৰ শিৰোনামা, ৰূপৰেখাসমূহ সম্পূৰ্ণভাৱে চোৱা
(খ) সাৰাংশ গ্ৰহণ- সাৰাংশসমূহ ওপৰে ওপৰে গ্ৰহণ কৰা
(গ) ওপৰে ওপৰে পঢ়ন - উপাদান আৰু ইয়াৰ ভাবৰ সাৰাংশৰ সৈতে পৰিচিত হোৱা
(ঘ) বিষয়সূচী পঢ়ন - উপাদানসমূহ গভীৰভাৱে অধ্যয়ন কৰা আৰু
(ঙ) সাহিত্যিক নাইবা ভাষাতাত্বিক অধ্যয়ন - যি ভাষাৰে পাঠটো লিখা হয় সেই ভাষাক সাহিত্য নাইবা ভাষাতত্বৰ দৃষ্টিকোণৰ পৰা অধ্যয়ন কৰা।

এই পাঁচবিধ নীৰৱ পঠনৰ প্রথম তিনিবিধক সম্প্ৰসাৰিত পঠন (Extensive Reading)
আৰু শেষৰ দুবিধক ঐকান্তিক (Intensive Reading) বুলিব পাৰি।
দৰাচলতে সৰৱ পঠনৰ দৰে পাঠ নকৰিলেও নীৰৱ পঠনতো সৰৱ পঠনৰ আটাইবোৰ প্ৰক্ৰিয়াই ইয়াত নিহিত হৈ থাকে। এনে পঠনৰ আটাইতকৈ গুৰুত্বপূৰ্ণ দিশটো হ’ল পাঠ্যাংশৰ মূল বিষয়বস্তু আহৰণ কৰা।

ভাষা শিক্ষাত পঠন কৌশলৰ প্ৰয়োজনীয় দিশ-

পঠনৰ যোগেদি ভাষা শিক্ষাৰ পাঠ আৰম্ভ হয়। ইয়াৰ যোগেদি জ্ঞান-ভাণ্ডাৰ উন্মুক্ত হয়। ভাষাৰ কিতাপ এখন পঢ়িলে সেই ভাষাটোৰ বৈজ্ঞানিক বিশ্লেষণ আমাৰ জ্ঞাত।
সাহিত্য পাঠে আমাৰ মনত ৰুচিবোধ জন্মায়। বিজ্ঞানৰ গ্ৰন্থই বিশ্লেষণ ক্ষমতা বঢ়ায় আৰু দৰ্শন শাস্ত্ৰৰ অধ্যয়নে আমাৰ মননশীলতাৰ বিকাশ ঘটায়। গতিকে ছাত্ৰ-ছাত্ৰী বা শিশুক ভাষা শিক্ষা জ্ঞান দিবলৈ পঠনৰ অভ্যাস কৰাব লাগিব।

• ভাষা শিক্ষাৰ দ্বিতীয় কৌশল হ'ল কথন। কথন মানে হৈছে কোৱা। ই ভাৱ প্ৰকাশৰ সহজ উপায়।

• কিন্তু কথনে কেৱল ধ্বনিসমূহৰ উচ্চাৰণ কৰা শব্দ বা বাক্যকে কোৱা নুবুজায়।

• যেতিয়া কথা কওঁ তেতিয়া আমি একে সময়তে বিভিন্ন প্ৰক্ৰয়াৰ জড়িত হৈ পৰো। কথা এটা কোৱাৰ আগত মনৰ মাজত আঁচনি কৰি লওঁ যে কি কোৱা উচিত, যাতে শুনোতাই আমি কি কৈছো বুজি পায়।

ভাষা শিক্ষাত কথন কৌশলৰ প্ৰয়োজনীয় দিশ-

ভাষা শিক্ষাৰ ক্ষেত্ৰত কথনৰ এক গুৰুত্বপূৰ্ণ ভূমিকা আছে।

শিশুৱে প্ৰথম মাতৃভাষাতেই কথা ক’বলৈ আৰম্ভ কৰে আৰু ইয়াক ই মাকৰ পৰাই শিকি লয়। তাৰ পিছত অন্যক অনুকৰণ কৰি কথা ক’বলৈ আৰম্ভ কৰে।
এইখিনি সময়ত মাকে যত্ন লোৱা উচিত যাতে শিশুটোৱে ঠিকমতে কথাখিনি উচ্চাৰণ কৰিব পাৰিছে। সেইখিনি সময়ত ব্যাকৰণৰ প্ৰয়োজন নাথাকে।

ভাষা শিক্ষাৰ ক্ষেত্ৰত শ্ৰৱণৰ এক গুৰুত্বপূৰ্ণ ভূমিকা আছে।
কথা শুনিলেহে বোধৰ জন্ম হয় আৰু শ্ৰৱণ শক্তি বাঢ়ে। সেয়ে শুনাৰ সময়ত শিক্ষক বা অভিভাবকে ভূল-ক্ৰুটি ৰাখিব নালাগে ।
শব্দৰ সঠিক উচ্চাৰণৰ ওপৰত গুৰুত্ব দিব লাগে আৰু শব্দবোৰৰ কোনখিনিত জোৰ দিব লাগে বা নালাগে সেই বিষয়ে সচকিত হৈহে তেওঁলোকক কথাবোৰ শুনাব লাগে।
দ্বিতীয়তে পিতৃ-মাতৃ তথা অভিভাৱকসকলে ভাষা শিক্ষাৰ ক্ষেত্ৰত কোনটো ৰূপ গ্ৰহণীয় তাক ছাত্ৰসকলক বুজাই দিব লাগে।

তৃতীয়তে শ্ৰুতলিপি দিয়াৰ সময়ত শুদ্ধ উচ্চাৰণৰ ওপৰত গুৰুত্ব দিয়া প্ৰয়োজন। কাৰণ শ্ৰুতলিপি লেখি যোৱাৰ সময়ত শিশুসকলৰ শ্ৰৱণ শক্তি সূক্ষ্ম হয়।

চতুৰ্থতে মাক-দেউতাক, অভিভাৱক আদিয়ে কথা পাতোতে দৃষ্টি ৰাখিব লাগে যাতে সিহঁতে শুনা শব্দবোৰে সিহঁতৰ চৰিত্ৰ গঠনত সহায় কৰিব পাৰে।
পঞ্চমতে পৰিবেশৰ পৰাও শ্ৰৱণ শক্তিৰ বিশেষ বিকাশ হ’ব পাৰে।

1. ব্যাকৰণ, অনুবাদ পদ্ধতি (Grammar translation method)

শিক্ষাৰ এইটো আটাইতকৈ পুৰণি পদ্ধতি যিটো আজিও প্রচলিত। এই পদ্ধতিৰ দ্বাৰা ভাষা শিকোৱাৰ মূল উদ্দেশ্য হৈছে সেই ভাষা সাহিত্য পঢ়া বা লিখাৰ যোগ্যতা বঢ়োৱা।
এই ক্ষেত্ৰত ছাত্র ছাত্ৰীসকলে শিকিবলগীয়া ভাষাটোৰ নিয়ম নীতিসমূহ মনত ৰাখি এটা ভাষাৰ পৰা আনটো ভাষালৈ শিক্ষকৰ সহায়ত অনুবাদ কৰে।
ইয়াত ভাষাটো শুনা বা কোৱা যোগ্যতাৰ ওপৰত গুৰুত্ব দিয়া নহয়।

2. প্ৰত্যক্ষ পদ্ধতি আৰু ভাষাৰ শ্রৱণ পদ্ধতি (Direct method)

ব্যাকৰণ, অনুবাদ পদ্ধতিৰ পাছতে আটাইতকৈ গুৰুত্ব দিয়া পদ্ধতিটো হ’ল- প্ৰত্যক্ষ পদ্ধতি আৰু ভাষাৰ শ্রৱণ পদ্ধতি।শুনা আৰু কোৱা এইবোৰ হ’ল পোনপটীয়া পদ্ধতি আৰু ভাষাৰ শ্রৱণ পদ্ধতি।
এই পদ্ধতিত শুনা বা কোৱা কৌশলৰ উপৰিও ভাষাটোৰ বৰ্ণমালাৰ ধ্বনি, কৈ বুজাৰ ওপৰতো গুৰত্ব দিয়া হয় কিয়নো অতি কম ভাষাৰহে বৰ্ণমালাৰ ধ্বনি লিখিত ৰূপত আছে।

3. যোগাযোগ পদ্ধতি (Communicative Method)

ভাষা সাহিত্যৰ ক্ষেত্ৰত কৰা বহুতো গৱেষণাই এই পদ্ধতিটোৰ ওপৰত প্ৰভাৱ পেলাইছে।
Socio-linguistics গৱেষণাত ধৰা পৰিছে যে ভাষা আহৰণে কেবল ভাষাৰ ব্যাকৰণ শিকাতেই সীমাবদ্ধ নাথাকে ই সামাজিক পৰিস্থিতি সাপেক্ষে কিদৰে প্ৰয়োজনত ভাষাটো ব্যৱহাৰ কৰিব পাৰি তাকেো বুজায়।

4. স্বাভাৱিক পদ্ধতি (Natural Approach)

ই ভাষা শিক্ষাৰ পদ্ধতিসমূহৰ আটাইতকৈ গুৰুত্বপূৰ্ণ পদ্ধতি৷
এই পদ্ধতিত কেন্দ্ৰবিন্দু হ’ল ‘ছাত্ৰ-ছাত্ৰী’।
ছাত্ৰ-ছাত্ৰীয়ে কৰা ভুল ভাষা শিক্ষাৰ এটা অবিচ্ছেদ্য অংগ।

ক) শ্ৰৱণ:

ভাষা শিক্ষাৰ ক্ষেত্ৰত শ্ৰৱণৰ এক গুৰুত্বপূৰ্ণ ভূমিকা আছে।
কথা শুনিলেহে বোধৰ জন্ম হয় আৰু শ্ৰৱণ শক্তি বাঢ়ে। সেয়ে শুনাৰ সময়ত শিক্ষক বা অভিভাবকে ভূল-ক্ৰুটি ৰাখিব নালাগে, শব্দৰ সঠিক উচ্চাৰণৰ ওপৰত গুৰুত্ব দিব লাগে আৰু শব্দবোৰৰ কোনখিনিত জোৰ দিব লাগে বা নালাগে সেই বিষয়ে সচকিত হৈহে তেওঁলোকক কথাবোৰ শুনাব লাগে।
দ্বিতীয়তে পিতৃ-মাতৃ তথা অভিভাৱকসকলে ভাষা শিক্ষাৰ ক্ষেত্ৰত কোনটো ৰূপ গ্ৰহণীয় তাক ছাত্ৰসকলক বুজাই দিব লাগে। সাধাৰণতে কথিত ভাষাত ঘৰত কথা পতা হয়, কিন্তু বিদ্যালয়ত সেই ভাষা নচলে। গতিকে পৰাপক্ষত মান্য ভাষাতেই তেওঁলোকক কথাবোৰ শুনাব লাগে।
তৃতীয়তে শ্ৰুতলিপি দিয়াৰ সময়ত শুদ্ধ উচ্চাৰণৰ ওপৰত গুৰুত্ব দিয়া প্ৰয়োজন। কাণ শ্ৰুতলিপি লেখি যোৱাৰ সময়ত শিশুসকলৰ শ্ৰৱণ শক্তি সূক্ষ্ম হয়।
চতুৰ্থতে মাক-দেউতাক, অভিভাৱক আদিয়ে কথা পাতোতে দৃষ্টি ৰাখিব লাগে যাতে সিহঁতে শুনা শব্দবোৰে সিহঁতৰ চৰিত্ৰ গঠনত সহায় কৰিব পাৰে।
পঞ্চমতে পৰিবেশৰ পৰাও শ্ৰৱণ শক্তিৰ বিশেষ বিকাশ হ’ব পাৰে।

যেনে- এজন শিশুৱে যেতিয়া হিন্দী কয় তেতিয়া বুজিব লাগিব তাৰ সেই পৰিবেশত কোনোবা হিন্দীভাষী লোক আছে যাৰ পৰা কথা শুনি সি হিন্দী ভাষাটো আয়ত্ব কৰিলে। গতিকে পৰিবেশে ভাষা শিক্ষাৰ ক্ষেত্ৰত শ্ৰৱণৰ মাধ্যমত এক বিশেষ গুৰুত্বপূৰ্ণ ভূমিকা পালন কৰে।

খ) কথন:

শিশুৱে প্ৰথম মাতৃভাষাতেই কথা ক’বলৈ আৰম্ভ কৰে আৰু ইয়াক ই মাকৰ পৰাই শিকি লয়। তাৰ পিছত অন্যক অনুকৰণ কৰি কথা ক’বলৈ আৰম্ভ কৰে। এইখিনি সময়ত মাকে যত্ন লোৱা উচিত যাতে শিশুটোৱে ঠিকমতে কথাখিনি উচ্চাৰণ কৰিব পাৰিছে। সেইখিনি সময়ত ব্যাকৰণৰ প্ৰয়োজন নাথাকে। গতিকে দুই-এটা ভুলকৈ হ’লেও তাক স্পষ্টভাৱে কথা ক’ব দিব লাগে আৰু ইয়াৰ যোগেদিয়ে তাৰ বাকশক্তি বাঢ়ে।
ল’ৰা-ছোৱালীয়ে যিমানে কথা কয় সিমানেই তাৰ ভাষা কোৱাৰ দক্ষতা বাঢ়ে।
বিদ্যালয়লৈ নোযোৱাকৈও কথিত ভাষাতেই মাতৃভাষাক আয়ত্ত কৰা সম্ভৱ। সেয়ে কথিত ভাষাৰ অনুশীলন কেতিয়াও বন্ধ কৰিব নালাগে।

গ) পঠন:

পঠনৰ যোগেদি ভাষা শিক্ষাৰ পাঠ আৰম্ভ হয়। ইয়াৰ যোগেদি জ্ঞান-ভাণ্ডাৰ উন্মুক্ত হয়।
ভাষাৰ কিতাপ এখন পঢ়িলে সেই ভাষাটোৰ বৈজ্ঞানিক বিশ্লেষণ আমাৰ জ্ঞাত। সাহিত্য পাঠে আমাৰ মনত ৰুচিবোধ জন্মায়। বিজ্ঞানৰ গ্ৰন্থই বিশ্লেষণ ক্ষমতা বঢ়ায় আৰু দৰ্শন শাস্ত্ৰৰ অধ্যয়নে আমাৰ মননশীলতাৰ বিকাশ ঘটায়। গতিকে ছাত্ৰ-ছাত্ৰী বা শিশুক ভাষা শিক্ষা জ্ঞান দিবলৈ পঠনৰ অভ্যাস কৰাব লাগিব।
পঠনৰ যোগেদিয়ে বিভিন্ন গ্ৰন্থৰ ৰচনা ৰীতিত শব্দ প্ৰয়োগ, শব্দবিলাকৰ গুৰুত্বৰ এই বিষয়ে তেওঁলোকে জ্ঞান আহৰণ কৰে। গতিকে পঠন নোহোৱাকৈ ভাষা শিকাটোও অসম্ভৱ কথা।

ঘ) লিখন:

লিখনৰ বাবে কিছুমান উপকৰণৰ প্ৰয়োজন হয়। যেনে- বৰ্ণমালা, আখৰ আদিৰ বিষয়ে শিশুৱে জানিব লাগিব। লিখনৰ যোগেদি আনক মনৰ কথাখিনি অৱগত কৰিব পাৰি।
লিখনৰ দ্বাৰা শাৰীৰিকভাৱে বাধাগ্ৰস্ত শিশুয়েও নিজৰ মনৰ কথা প্ৰকাশ কৰিব পাৰে। সেয়ে শিশুক পঢ়াশালিলৈ অহাৰ লগে লগে লিখনৰ গুৰুত্ব সম্পৰ্কে ভালদৰে বুজাই কোৱাৰ দৰকাৰ।
লিখনৰ লগত ৰুচিবোধৰ কথা জড়িত হৈ আছে। সুলিখনে কথাখিনি অইনক বুজাত সহায় কৰে আৰু লিখকৰ সৌন্দৰ্যবোধৰ ধাৰণা প্ৰকট কৰে। সেয়ে অভিভাৱক বা শিক্ষকসকলে লিখন বিদ্যাৰ ওপৰত বিশেষ গুৰুত্ব দিব লাগে।

ভাৰতত ১৬০০ তকৈও অধিক ভাষা আছে আৰু এই ভাষাবোৰ বিভিন্ন ভাষাগোটৰ অন্তৰ্ভুক্ত।
ভাষাৰ বিভিন্নতাৰ কাৰণেই ভাৰতক বহুভাষিক (multilingual) দেশ বুলি গণ্য কৰা হয়।

ভাৰত বহুভাষিকদেশ হোৱা বাবে আমাৰ সংবিধানে কোনো এটা ভাষাকে মুখ্য বুলি বিবেচনা নকৰিলে। বৰঞ্চ ৩৪৩ নং দফা অনুসৰি হিন্দী ভাষাটোক চৰকাৰী ভাষা হিচাপে স্বীকৃতি দিয়ে আৰু ইংৰাজীক অফিচৰ দ্বিতীয় ভাষা (assistant language) হিচাবে গণ্য কৰে।

বৰ্তমান ২২ ভাষাক মান্য ভাষা হিচাবে স্বীকৃতি দিছে।
যেতিয়াই কোনো এটা ভাষা সংবিধানৰ অন্তৰ্ভুক্তি হয় তাক মান্যভাষা হিচাবে গণ্য কৰা হয়।

মাতৃভাষা আৰু স্থানীয় ভাষা

‘মাতৃভাষা’ বুলিলে সাধাৰণতে ঘৰত কোৱা ভাষাটোকে বুজায়।
এটা পৰিয়ালৰ দুজন মানুহৰ মাতৃভাষা বেলেগো হ’ব পাৰে -
উদাহৰণ স্বৰূপে যেতিয়া পতি আৰু পত্নী দুটা বিভিন্ন অঞ্চলৰ পৰা আহি বিবাহ পাশত আবদ্ধ হয় তেতিয়া ল’ৰা-ছোৱালীবোৰৰো এটাতকৈ বেছি মাতৃভাষা হ’ব পাৰে।

পৌৰাণিক ভাষা

যিটো ভাষাৰ এতিহাসিক কাহিনী আছে বা যাৰ ব্যাকৰণ গৱেষণাৰ বিষয়বস্তু আৰু বিভিন্ন ভাষাত ব্যৱহৃত হয় তাকে পৌৰাণিক ভাষা বোলে।

Monolingual (একভাষীক)–

The ability to speak only one language proficiently

Bilingual (দ্বিভাষিক)-

The ability to speak two languages proficiently.

Multilingual (বহুভাষিক)–

The ability to speak many languages proficiently.

The Secondary Education commission ভাৰতীয় স্কুলত দশম শ্ৰেণীলৈকে “তিনিস্তৰীয় ভাষা শিক্ষাৰ’ ওপৰত গুৰুত্ব আৰোপ কৰে। এই তিনিস্তৰীয় ভাষা শিক্ষাটো হ’ল-

First Language- প্রথম ভাষা: স্কুলত শিকোৱা প্ৰথম ভাষা হ’ব মাতৃভাষা বা স্থানীয় ভাষা

Second Language- দ্বিতীয় ভাষা: হিন্দী ভাষা কোৱা ৰাজ্যসমূহত ইংৰাজী বা যিকোনো আধুনিক ভাষা এটাক আৰু অন্যভাষী ৰাজ্যত হিন্দী বা ইংৰাজী

Third Language- তৃতীয় ভাষা: ইংৰাজী বা যিকোনো এটা আধুনিক ভাৰতীয় ভাষা হিন্দী ভাষা কোৱা ৰাজ্যসমূহে দ্বিতীয় ভাষা হিচাবে আৰু অন্য ভাষী ৰাজ্যসমূহে ইংৰাজী বা যিকোনো আধুনিক ভাৰতীয় ভাষা যিটো দ্বিতীয় স্তৰৰ ভাষা হিচাবে গ্ৰহণ কৰা নহয় তেনে ভাষা এটা পঢ়িব লাগিব।

Difference between First Language and Second Language-

A first language is the mother tongue or the native language of a person while a second language is a language a person learns in order to communicate with the native speaker of that language.

According to NCF 2005, English is a global language.

২০০৫ চনত গ্ৰহণ কৰা National curriculum framework ৰ মতে ইংৰাজীক গ্লবেল ভাষা হিচাবে গ্ৰহণ কৰা হয়৷

A rational number is any number that can be expressed as a ratio of two integers.
For example, 1.5 is rational since it can be written as 3/2, 6/4, 9/6.
যিবোৰ সংখ্যাক p/q আকাৰত প্ৰকাশ কৰিব পাৰি, য'ত p আৰু q দুটা অখণ্ড সংখ্যা আৰু q-টো কেতিয়াও 0(শূণ্য) নহয়, তেনে সংখ্যাকে পৰিমেয় সংখ্যা বুলি কোৱা হয়। যেনে: ১/২, ২/৫, ১২/১৩ ইত্যাদি।

Irrational Number: অপৰিমেয় সংখ্যা

An irrational number is a real number that cannot be expressed as a ratio of two integers.
Pi (π) is irrational since it cannot be written as a fraction (3.14159...)

Many squares roots are also irrational since they cannot be reduced to fractions.

Real numbers include both rational as well as irrational numbers.
সংখ্যাৰেখাডালৰ প্ৰতিটো বিন্দুৱে বুজোৱা সংখ্যাবোৰেই হ'ল বাস্তৱ সংখ্যা।

Factor: উৎপাদক

An integer that divides into another integer exactly- is called a Factor. For example, 4 is a factor of 8, because we can divide the number 8 by 4 and the remainder is zero.
এটা অখণ্ড সংখ্যা x-ক আন এটা অখণ্ড সংখ্যা y-ৰ উৎপাদক বুলি কোৱা হয় যদিহে x সংখ্যাটোৰে y-ক কোনো ভাগশেষ নথকাকৈ হৰণ কৰিব পাৰি।

The number with which we multiply is called the multiplier.

2x1=2, 2x2=4 (2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12….)
3x1=3, 3x2=6 (3, 6, 9, 12, 15….)
5x1=5, 5x2=10, 5x3=15, 5x4=20 (5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30….)

Gross motor skills are the bigger movements like- rolling over and sitting - that use the large muscles in the arms, legs, feet etc.

Fine motor skills are small movements like- picking up small objects and holding a spoon - that use the small muscles of the fingers, wrists, lips etc.

2. Cognitive (Mental) Development (সংজ্ঞানাত্মক বিকাশ)

Cognitive development means how children think, explore and figure things out.
It is the development of knowledge, skills, reasoning, imagination, problem-solving abilities etc which help children to think about and understand the world around them.

3. Language Development (ভাষাৰ বিকাশ)

Language development is the process by which children come to understand and communicate language during early childhood.

In Language development, a child develops acquire the ability to learn, use of words etc.

4. Emotional Development (আবেগিক বিকাশ)

Emotional development refers to the ability to recognize, express, and manage feelings.

5. Social Development (সামাজিক বিকাশ)

Social development refers to the process by which a child learns to interact with others around them.

Important factors that affect Social Development:

Home Environment.
Socio-Economic Status of the Family.

Love and Affection.

Participation in Social Organizations.

6. Moral Development (নৈতিক বিকাশ)

Moral development is the process through which children develop proper attitudes and behaviours toward other people in society, based on social and cultural norms, rules, and laws.

Kohlberg defined three levels of moral development:
Pre-conventional, Conventional and Post conventional.

Factors that affect the moral development of a child.

Family. what the parents tell the child what is right or wrong through what actions the parents accept or reject.

Peer Group.

Society And Culture.

Age.

Gender.

The number system is simply a system to represent or express numbers.

Numbers are expressed by means of figures –

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 0 ---- called digits.
Natural Numbers: স্বাভাৱিক সংখ্যা

Numbers which we use for counting the objects are known as natural numbers.

It is also called as - Positive integers or Counting numbers.

Natural Numbers are denoted by ‘N’

N = {1, 2, 3, 4,…….}
Whole Numbers: পূৰ্ণ সংখ্যা

When we include ‘zero’ in the natural numbers, it is known as whole numbers.

They are denoted by ‘W’.

W= {0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5,………}
Integers: অখণ্ড সংখ্যা

Integers include positive whole numbers, negative whole numbers, and zero.

The set of integers is like:-

Integers = {… -5, -4, -3, -2, -1, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, …}
Even Number: যুগ্ম সংখ্যা

The number which is divisible by 2 is known as an even number. e.g. 2, 4, 8, 12, 24, 28 ..

Numbers that end with a 0, 2, 4, 6 or 8 are called even numbers e.g. 14, 202, 500, 8146, 99718.
Odd Number: অযুগ্ম সংখ্যা

The number which is not divisible by 2 is known as an odd number.

which means there is some remainder left after division

e.g. 1, 3, 9, 11, 17, 19. .....
Prime Number: মৌলিক সংখ্যা

A prime number is a natural number greater than 1 Which have only two factors.

A prime number is a whole number greater than 1 whose only factors are 1 and itself.

e.g. 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13. . ....

(2 is the smallest prime number)
Composite Numbers: যৌগিক সংখ্যা

The number which is divisible not only by 1 or themselves but some other numbers also, are called Composite number.

In other words, the numbers which have more than two factors are called “Composite numbers”.

A number, other than 1, which is not a prime number is called a Composite Numbers

e.g. 4, 6, 8, 9, 12, 14 ...... and so on

(The number 1 is neither prime nor composite.)

Stages Of Development (বিকাশৰ স্তৰ)

All children progress in a definite order through these stages and they all follow similar basic patterns.

Stage - Time frame

Prenatal Period - Before Birth

Infancy - Birth To 2 Years

Childhood - 2 - 12 Years

Early Childhood 2 - 6 Years
Later Childhood 7 - 11 Years

Adolescence - 12 - 18 Years

(Adulthood 21 - 40 Years, Middle Age 40 - 60 Years, Old Age 60 Years +)

Prenatal Period - (40 Weeks)

Life begins at the time of conception.

When the child is in the mother’s womb the particular period spent there is known as the prenatal period.

All important external and internal feelings start to develop at this stage.

Infancy - শৈশৱ কাল (Birth to 2 years)

From birth up to the second year of life, the stage is known as infancy.

Babies grow very rapidly in size during their first two years.

The acquisition of motor skills like holding things, crawling, walking proceeds from simple to complex.

Early Childhood - আগতীয়া বাল্যকাল (2 - 6 Years)

The growth in height is not as rapid during this stage as it is in infancy.

Children improve eye, hand and small muscle coordination. For example, they can draw a circle, button and unbutton clothes, and

Language development is rapid in this stage.

Important Point -

Pre-school-age/Play School.
Toy-age/Play age.
Self-centric/Egocentric.
Observe the behaviour of others.

LATER Childhood - শেহতীয়া বাল্যকাল (7 - 11 Years)

Between the age of 6 to 12 years look much taller and thinner.

Children exhibit rapid gains in strength and swiftness.

They achieve new motor skills and their competence becomes more pronounced in all areas of development.

Important Point -

School-age/Elementary School-age. (Traditional school)
Troublesome age.
Gang age.
Play with Peer group.
Creativity.
(Experience of this stage will influence throughout his/her life.)

Adolescence - কৈশোৰ কাল (12 - 18 Years)

The stage between childhood and adulthood.

This is the period of rapid physiological growth. Social, Biological, and Personal change.

Children jump rope, bicycle, ride horses, dance and can handle in all possible games.

This is the most critical stage of life.
