Projects are fundamentally different because the project ceases when its declared objectives have been attained, while non-project undertaking adopts a new set of objectives and continue to work. The temporary nature of projects may apply to other aspects of the endeavor as well. The opportunity or market window is usually temporary. Most projects have a limited timeframe in which to produce their product or service. The project team, as a team, seldom outlives the project. Most projects are performed by a team created for the sole purpose of performing the project, and the team is disbanded reassigned when the project is complete.

It’s 9^th Of January 2018, local time 10.20pm [ night] after full day works, I’m going to post another blog post in Assignment Lanka.

I have previously explained What is the search engine? And Searching Algorithms [ high-level] now I’m going to explain the things that I followed to increase or optimize assignementlanka.blogspot.com into first page in google result.

You can see in my above paragraph there are so many hyperlinks. We call it interlinks. When you are doing a blog, you need to have interlinks in your post that will increase your impotency about the document. This is common for web development as well. After releasing my 2018 first posting [ after around three years] I try to look at my revenue from the blog. Haaaaa... it was around 56 USD because I haven’t really focus on the revenue that I can earn from AdSense.

" Wireless vs Mobile"

Many people use the terms wireless and mobile as synonyms. This is not strictly true. In this table we try to illustrate the differences between the terms wireless and mobile.

Those users that are not wireless and not mobile are easy to come up with. This is what youcan call "traditional data communications" and consists of conventional LAN, MAN and WAN technology, such as ethernet, FDDI or X.25.

At the other extreme, there are users that are both wireless and mobile. So here we can have
taxis using radio modems, field service engineers (recall that Mobitex's first application was for Telia's field service engineers), transport and public safety users.

What about the users that are using wireless technology but are not mobile? These are the traditional "telemetry" applications that were mentioned in chapter 13. These include parking or gas meters and coke machines.

The last set of users, those that are mobile but not wireless are a little harder to define. Imagine the following scenario, I sit in my office in Gothenburg and work on my laptop PC connected to my local network. Then I pick up my laptop, jump on a plane and fly to Stockholm. There I plug my PC into the LAN in Stockholm and carry on working as if I was on my home network. In this case I'm using wired technology - the two Local Area Networks, but in some sense I'm mobile because I move around the country. This type of access is called Nomadic Computing. An example of technology that allows this kind of movement is Mobile IP, which will be explained in more detail later.

Token passing protocol

The ring topology is a local area network (LAN) topology in which the medium forms a loop to which workstations are attached. Data is transmitted in a simplex form from one station, normally employing a token-passing.

Advantages:

Easy to install

Easy to reconfigure the network (add and remove nodes but keep the ring intact)

Fault isolation is easy

Disadvantages:

All nodes suffer from high traffic.

A break in the ring may halt the network

Token ring

A computer network arbitration scheme in which conflicts in the transmission of messages are avoided by the granting of "tokens" which give permission to send. A station keeps the token while transmitting a message, if it has a
message to transmit, and then passes it on to the next station.

Often, "Token Ring" is used to refer to the IEEE 802.5 token ring standard, which is the most common type of token ring.

Configuration -Wifi with Windows XP

If your computer is not currently connected to a wireless network, Windows may present the following message to let you know that it has detected one or more of them. Click on the Wireless networks detected balloon to display a list of available networks.

If your computer is already connected to a wireless network or does not present the above message, right-click on the Wireless Network Connection icon on the right of the Task Bar and then click on View Available Wireless Networks to display the list of available wireless networks.

From the Wireless Network Connection window, click on Change advanced settings under Related Tasks. Do not choose JMU-Official-Wireless from here the first time.

If you are logged in as a regular (non-Administrator) user, Windows will let you know that you cannot change some settings. Click on the OK button.

The Wireless Network Connection Properties window will come up on the General tab. Click on the Wireless Networks tab at the top.

Now click on the Add... button under Preferred networks. This will begin to configure Windows XP to join the wireless network and will need to be done only once.

In the resulting Wireless network properties window, enter JMU-Official- Wireless in the Network name (SSID) field.

Then select WPA2 from the Network Authentication drop-down list under Wireless network
key.

After selecting WPA2 from Network Authentication, the Data encryption will automatically be set to AES. Click on the Authentication tab at the top to continue.

Next, select Protected EAP (PEAP) from the EAP type drop-down list.

Then uncheck the box next to Authenticate as computer when computer information is available.

If your computer is NOT joined to Active Directory, click on Properties. If your computer IS joined to Active Directory, click on OK. Your computer will automatically sign in to the wireless network using the Active Directory credentials you used to log in to your computer. If you do not want it sign in automatically, click on Properties instead. If you aren’t sure whether your computer is joined to Active Directory, click on Properties.

If you clicked Properties, the Protected EAP Properties window will be displayed. From here, click the Configure button next to Secured password (EAP-MSCHAP v2).

If your computer is NOT joined to Active Directory, uncheck the box next to Automatically use my Windows logon name and password (and domain if any), then click on OK. If your computer IS joined to Active Directory and you want your computer to automatically sign in to the wireless network, leave the box checked and click on OK. If you are not sure if your computer is joined to Active Directory, uncheck the box and click on OK.

This will return you to the Protected EAP Properties window. Click on OK.

This will return you to the Wireless network properties window. Click on OK.

This will return you to the Wireless Network Connection Properties window and JMU-Official-Wireless will now be listed under Preferred networks. If you clicked OK instead of Properties after choosing PEAP from the EAP type drop-down list, you will return here. Click on OK.

Windows now will attempt to connect to the JMU-Official-Wireless network if it is in range. If your computer is not joined to Active Directory (or if you unchecked the Automatically use my Windows logon name and password setting), you will receive a message asking for your logon credentials to connect to the wireless network. Click on the Wireless Network Connection balloon to bring up the login prompt.

Enter your e-ID and password, then click OK. Be sure to leave Logon domain empty.

Windows will then attempt to validate the authentication server’s certificate. Click on the Wireless Network Connection balloon to continue.

You will then be prompted to accept the authentication server’s certificate to initiate encryption. This keeps your e-ID and password safe. To accept the certificate, whose Root Certification Authority will be Thawte Premium Server CA, click on OK.

If your computer is joined to Active Directory, Windows will use the domain credentials you logged on with to join the JMU-Official-Wireless network. It may take several seconds for your computer to acquire an IP address, during which time Windows may change the Wireless Network Connection icon to look like the one below on the far left.

After successfully connecting to the wireless network and getting an IP address, Windows will display the following message (though your Signal Strength may vary).

Reconnecting

If your computer is not currently connected to a wireless network, Windows may present the following message to let you know that it has detected one or more of them. Click on the Wireless networks detected balloon to display a list of available networks.

If your computer is already connected to a wireless network or does not present the above message, right-click on the Wireless Network Connection icon on the right of the Task Bar and then click on View Available Wireless Networks to bring up the list of available wireless networks.

From the Wireless Network Connection window, click on JMU-Official- Wireless, which will highlight it, and then click the Connect button at the bottom

Windows will present a progress display while it attempts to connect to the wireless network.

It may take several seconds for your computer to acquire an IP address, during which time the progress display message may change from Waiting for the network... to Waiting for network to be ready....

After Windows has successfully reconnected to the wireless network it will return to the Choose a wireless network window, showing JMU-Official-Wireless as Connected. Click on the red X button in the top right corner to finish.

Star Topology network

Star network or the Star Topology network is a network design which Computers in a star, The topology are connected by cables to a hub. In this management of the network is made much easier (such as adding and removing devices), because of the central point. However because it is centralized more cable is required.
Because most star topologies use twisted-pair cables, the initial installation of star networks is also easier.

If one computer fails the network will continue to function, but if a hub fails all computers connected to it will also be affected. Star topologies are, or are becoming the topology of choice for networks.

Star Topology Advantages:

The Cabling, Hardware per node is Cheaper than a mesh topology. (less cable, less hardware per node)

In the Star Topology the Single links make the network easier to reconfigure.

A wireless router integrates a wireless access point with an Ethernet switch and an Ethernet router.
