Blue is such a simplicity color. When I see blue, I feel calm.

a site called The Pioneer Woman,

after exploring I came across this cinnamon roll

recipe. Seems easy and looks delicious....

I am loving the new bag I made, so simple and neutral.

Also I have decided to bring my offline business items

to my online business. I have sold Oils for 9 years with much

success. I have over 150 scents and will be adding them

slowly but surely. I carry no blend - just scent &

ones blended with Jojoba oil. I only sell the Oils that are blended

with Jojoba Oil on Etsy and both on my website.

Corners of my Studio - Ribbon and Fabric areas

This area is still under construction (LOL), well it is a vintage cabinet that I have painted

and added cabinets and curtains to the top. I still have to add trim around all the edges to

make it look complete and hide that there are stacked cabinets.

If you look at the pic above, you can see part of what I am talking about. Also I still

have to finish the bottom Doors. I just wanted to give you a sneak peek

of my new storage area for fabrics. I did take before pics and will

share them too.

I have finally organized my ribbons and fibers, There are more

than what is shown in the picture. I just could not get a good picture.

I will be retaking to share with you.

I am experimenting with the shelves decor, for some reason I am not liking

this go round. So I will be changing out these scallop paper borders to

I donot know yet. If you have any suggestions, I will love to hear them.

My studio is located in the front part of my home finished basement.

It is where I spend alot of time when doing my creative and business things.

I share a small section with my husband, his 2 section desk and computer

is on them, but of course i occupy them more than he does (lol).

It makes him feel he is connected and I can't complain about that.

This area is where i store my yarn, threads, sewing books and any

sewing accessories. Still playing around with this area.

Closer look....

I made the memo board by wrapping a granny square blanket

I started over a foam board and stapled it to the wall.

I plan to paint the thread holders and change out the book holders.

I still have to finish the numbers on the storage container.

All these items are sitting on a dresser that still needs to be painted.

It holds finished sewn items, sewing machine accessories, appliques

and such.

My Viking Sewing / Embroidery machine

I own 3 more machines that I have not used since

getting this one

Some of my sewing books.

Tomorrow I will posting my paper area.

I finally feel like I am getting organized....

I finally have my copy of this beauty!

After searching the magazine racks by the

cash registers in Shoppers Market,

I was thinking - They just have to have it...

So of course, I did not give up -

I rushed over to the magazine section down

the aisle. I searched and searched thru the magazines

and then finally I seen her peeking out from behind

some other magazines.

I grabbed it so i could make sure I was not seeing things.

I thought to myself, how could someone

cover up this beauty.

I love this issue better than the first one.

The first look thru was just to see the pics.

I fell in love with so many things and

things went on my want list.

The second look thru was to actually read it.

Lots of information in there...

Worth my $10

So if you have not gotten your

hands on this cutie yet,

What you waiting on, hunt those stores

until you find it, it is worth the hunt

The beginning of a memory quilt - block 2 and 3 - Son Quilt

Here is blocks 2 and 3.

As I am getting the blocks done,

I am seeing a trend of denims, khaki and blues.

I have not done the top

stitching for these yet.

I worked on the blocks first that

have designs or a piece from the pocket.

Blocks 1, 2, 3 and others are from

baby and toddler clothes.

As I am looking at the blocks, I can

remember each piece and what it was in

it's before life - PJ's, shirts, shorts and pants.

The good thing is I have pics of him in all these.

So besides having a picture of his childhood,

he will have a physical piece of clothing

from his childhood. I like that thought already.

I have finally started making blocks

for a memory quilt for my son.

I have been saving his clothes since he was born

and was cuting the fabric i could use little

by little and adding it to a box.

I am excited to see them coming together.

I decided to go random with the blocks

with no set design for none of them.

My plans is to do top stitching for them as

I am making them and then when i join them,

I will do a stitch in the ditch to quilt it.

I am still undecided to the backing fabric.

I do have more blocks to share with you,

also I have started my daughters too.

Love the thought of them being able

to have memories from their childhood.
