It was the middle of nineteenth century in America where coal mining in the riverbank area of Mississippi was getting accelerated day by day like nothing else they conceived at that time. Mr. Brad Adams the then supervising engineer of the mines was a greybeard, cantankerous, cruel some, envious man treating the workers with no nobility and as beast of burdens. He was always dressed in a black overcoat with one hand permanently in pocket as if someone was going to steal his purse or kidney perhaps. His glasses were shattered, head was cultivated with ample amount of white hair. Basically he looked like a black chimney exhaling white gases. There were two things he was always concerned about, one was money and the other was Sentinel which was no mythological warrior as it sounds from its name but a monstrous dog of German crossbreed ready to gulp down anything at any time. They both are like the indomitable rulers of that area due to financial power of Adam and Sentinel’s muscular ferocity.

David Broom a poor blacksmith and poultry farmer who was also living in that area. He was an innocent self dependant man, always working dawn to dusk to earn his livelihood. The maximum number of turkeys he had in his poultry farm was in one digit region. Mr. Adams and his dog Sentinel always used to go to the mines through this poultry farm. Mr. Adams had always been ignoring these poor red Indians as gypsies but for Sentinel it was a type of breakfast place where the turkeys were visible to this monster as roasted chickens. Once Adam left Sentinel to the poultry, the gigantic creature showing a sudden testosterone blast destroyed the fences and swallowed down the turkeys as morning snacks, Adam was in cloud nine as he was proud of having Sentinel. When David tried to stop it, the marauding bulldozer like structure led no mercy at him and wounded him severely. In some fraction of seconds his world was devastated, his leg’s tendons and ligaments were bitten by Sentinel, face was burning in the pain of newly formed scars, sky above his head was turning red as the blood trickled over his eyes and finally he was left on the farm to die with a tormenting soul.

Meanwhile in the coalfield it became impossible to dig in night especially due to darkness, they could not use lamps and candles due to the presence of extremely ignitable gases in the very dip of the mine. Bunsen burner was yet to be invented in the year 1850. The mine engineers designed a special type of lamp dissipating less heat hence suitable for illumination inside underground, they installed it dip in the mines but the only problem was sparking the lamp for the first time, the engineers confirmed that the first time illumination of the lamp would go with a massive blast due to the gases present there and then the lamp would burn incessantly with no hitch. They all denied to this investment as it would take the sacrifice of a human’s life as somebody had to light it but greedy Adam forced them to sanction this project as working day and night in the coal fields simply meant double money. Finally a tender form was issued and it was announced that the man who would light the lamp would be compensated with handsome money for the sacrifice of his life.

Meanwhile in the streets of the town a beggar called himself Peter was reading the notice of the tender. He had no one left in the world .His facial recognition was almost impossible as it was filled with heavy beard and moustache, one side of his cheek was significant having a blemish as if someone has used a sword on his cheek, his dresses were soiled and perforated at every inch distance and he was a limp working with a disintegrating wooden stick. He decided to go for the offer by helping the mines people and giving up his distressed life. He applied his tender for 100 dollars.

The day approached Mr. Adams told his subordinate to find out three tenders with minimum demanding money so that staff selected three tenders 100 dollars(peter),200 dollars(John Garret) and 400 dollars(Andrew Coulson ). Adam called the three applicants next day.

At first it was Peter the beggar. From his mysterious appearance and filth clothing Adam was sure enough why the beggar was going for this, also peter acknowledged Adam about his miseries .Adam told him to wait outside, then called John Garret a very old man almost scoring a century in matter of ages .He described that his son misbehaved him so if he would get 200 dollars he would deposit them for his grandson’s study and eagerly die.

Then came Mr. Andrew Coulson a professional businessman dressed in coat of worth as an arm and leg. He was a friend of Adam, at first Adam was shocked to see him there but then he assured himself that Coulson was not a person who would let himself die for anything. Adam asked, “What on the earth are you doing here? You selfish basterd ”. He replied, “Not more than you Adam ,Well I am here for that tender, Don’t look at me like that I am not gonna die, You sanction me this tender and I will give that gypsy beggar Peter 100 dollars to die and we will share 150 dollars each”. It was a bonanza deal for Adam, He could not deny that offer anyhow and decided to stick to that plan. Same thing happened; the deal was signed with Andrew Coulson for four hundred dollars.

The next day Coulson and Adam went to peter and told him that they had provided you this job, handed him 100 dollars and told him that he had to come to the mines the next day to illuminate the lamp and left the street. Peter knew about their malicious intention and went to a nearer broken home, he opened the door and went inside. He first time took off his blanket after several months and started bearding himself in front of a shattered mirror ,a very familiar face evolved on the mirror that was his real identity ,he was no one else but David Broom still alive in disguise and disgust to avenge the pain he had been enduring since that day. From occupation he was a third generation blacksmith. That night he was doing something else, his masterpiece. He had promised himself to unbeard the hitherto invincible lion in his own den who was Adam in that area, and release all the red Indian and African Negros from permanent slavery who were tiresome workers of the mines.

The next day he put on his old blanket and wrapped a dirty paper over something what he was preparing last night and went to the mine field. Earlier in the morning Mr. Adams went to bank to deposit those dollars as if someone was spying on him to steal his money but left Sentinel with Mr. coulson as it was impossible to travel with that monstrous creature inside a small cart. The total area was evacuated Mr. Coulson and all the staff at the safest distance but they placed the workers somewhat nearer to mines to know the intensity of explosion by judging it from the wound and damage that could be done to the slaves in accordance with the orders of chief engineer Mr. Brad Adams. Sentinel was wandering in their office while other members were waiting for Peter, when he reached there everyone waved at him as if they really care for him. The dog started barking but no one noticed anything awkward and he went to the fields. standing in front of the underground door he opened the wrapped paper and unbundled his collections there were three turkey bones ,one of them was extremely large from the other two .There was something else ,his masterpiece a round neck steel collar having cup on its top. Sentinel could smell roasted turkey from two or three miles ,he could not resist and ran into the mines, meanwhile David placed the larger piece just in front of the door and the smallest one in the lamp’s ignition chamber and waited outside the mine with the last piece of meat. The dog was greedier than his master he ran like a bullet train and started shaking his tail in front of David. David threw the piece on ground; Sentinel rushed there and started licking the bone. David tied the collar on the dog’s neck and filled the cup with small thick candle and ignited it. He whispered, “Oh dear Senti! You are my avenging angel, May piece occur to you”. He pelted a stone at the door and started leaving that place. Then the dog realized wherefrom the real aroma was coming from the biggest ever bone piece waiting for him at the door, without a second of delay he rushed there and showed how carnivorous he was to the bone piece.

Till the time he would have finished the largest piece David was watching from a reasonable safe distance through a binocular. Mr. Adam reached and started searching for the dog, someone told him that it ran into the fields, he was anguished and decided to bring it back but others protested him as David had also made it to the fields.

After completing the scrumptious mutton Sentinel nosed the last one and went for it, when he bowed down to lick the bone the flame burning over his head ignited the lamp the sudden massive heat generated triggered the capricious gases to explode like nothing else they witnessed that day.

Fire persisted still the last piece of coal was burned almost in two days, Adam could not believe what had happened, the workers were not hampered that much. Government could not resist the loss and when found out what had happened they suspended Adam and took him in custody. All the slaves were released and Adam was charged 15 years of jail for signing such a horrible tender, everything in Mississippi changed except the beggar on the street, who was eagerly waiting for his redemption.

1.Black Screen phone unable to reboot

5. After a few minutes when the full phone formatting completed, your nokia will be back to original system and factory setting, all application installed & not of the phones will be lost. If you did a backup on your MMC,you can restore it back to the C Drive again.

hi, readers too long time, this long included the major event of, my parents getting transferred to Chennai. Chennai, its one of the four metro cities of india n capital of Tamil Nadu.
On 20th May 12 my flight landed at chennai airport at 17:40 hours. All of a sudden when u come out of AC to hot atmosphere, u feel like hell, i also had the same feeling. At first it was to find a cheap taxi, as i don't know Tamil i didn't have the option of bargaining; so i took a taxi for leaving me at a place called koyembadu. this the place where my parents are staying in the officer's apartment. Mean while i was enjoying at the busy city of chennai. Beside the streets there were shops n men wearing dhotis n women having jasmine flower on their hair, but overon that when i saw the construction of 12000 crores project of metro railway, i was woW. AFTER 45MINS RIDE I REACHED THE PLACE CALLED KOYEMBADU WHERE MY FATHER WAS WAITING FOR ME. IT WAS AROUND 18:30 HOURS IN D EVENING SO THE ROADS WERE VERY BUSY FULL OF VEHICLES. AFTER EXPERIENCING SO MUCH OF WONDERS, I FELT LIKE SAYING OYE ITS CHENNAI....... NEXT DAY ONWARDS I WENT FOR MORNING WALK N IT WAS AMAZING TO FIND 100S OF BUSES QUEUED UP WALKING FURTHER I FOUND IT WAS THE ENTRANCE OF CHENNAI MOFUSSIL BUS TERMINAL (CMBT), ITS A BUS TERMINAL N ITS BUILDING IS OF A SIZE OF 5 STOREY BUILDING HIGH N 200 METRE LONG. IT HAS FACILITIES FOR PARKING TWO N FOUR WHEELERS. It was too great to have this.

In my recent interaction with my neighbour, i gotch to know about the normal life style of a Tamil family. From that i could conclude that their total food surrounds around one thing, that is rice. According to Chitra aunty (my neighbour), they love to have rice as breakfast, lunch n dinner. While enquiring about the dishes she told me that in morning by 6:30 she cooks rice with a proper ratio of amount of water and rice. they take rice along with Sambhar, rasam, chutney as their breakfast. In their lunch they make fried rice or tomato rice along with that they prefer to have dal, raita, rasam n ..... In the evening its the time for their snacks, which includes idly, dosa, vaada. In night they love to have butter milk rice with pickles. The brahmin families they don't even like the smell of non-veg cooked, means they are pure veggie.....

Last night my father went for a marraige ceremony in a five star hotel at night. there he got to know that the marraige actually has got over in the morning time n they have only come for the reception. While he was searching for the north indian food, he could only find 3 types of rice,dal, panner,gulab jamun and ice cream. When i heard i was happy that here atleast, bride's father don't have to spent much money over food as usaually done in rest part of india. The tradition is that, the marraige should be done in the morning hours, that is before 12 hours and in the night reception will be there where all the guests will have reception. This tradition is sweet and simple. Here the marraiges takes place at the age of 24-25 of boys and 21 as girls. They get married just after they get their jobs. Then i thought arrey, this stuff doesn't happen in odisha. they i clicked...."OYE ITS CHENNAI".

About a week agao while reading the news paper i got to know that yesterday the 12th result of Tamil Nadu board was out. The topper has scored 1190 out of 1200. I was surprized by the scoring of that student, that how can she score this much???? In her interview she showed her ambition of getting to BITS pilani, where there is the provision that the state topper can take admission directly. Then few days later again in the newspaper it was published that here in Tamil Nadu, there is a rule that the student who has scored highest n has taken Tamil as a subject will be declared as the state topper. Unfortunately this topper girl had taken Sanskrit instead of Tamil, so it was like her fate to go to Bits Pilani was hanging..... I'm surprized at this type of rules with agony. Can't help.....

Last sunday that is on 27th we had a family trip to chennai's one of the prominent shopping places; T-nagar. Its famous for clothing n shopping malls n... We took a direct bus to T- nagar at a cost of Rs13 each n it was a total comfortable one. Their i found that the streets were flooded with countless people, this is summer now, Imagine the coondition. Then we went to a shop called Saravana Shop, this one shop itself is 6 storey building. On the ground floor it was the buzzing section of saree, when u go up one bye one my eyes were filled with glitters of feeling of versatality of the shop. It had everything that could come to one's mind. I would say it was mind blowing n all the stuffs were under a single sticker Sarvana Store. Starting from kid's toys, to LED tvs n lots more. In that father bought a Sony's Xperia Pro one costing Rs 18950. I was flattened over this gadget as its features were really great i every sense. On coming out of the shop its was rightfully said "OYE ITS CHENNAI".

This much of significant stuff has happend till now in chennai, my aim is to put my personal experience with the one of the most important city of the world.... Wait for my next "OYE its CHENNAI".....

What Great happens when NeW yEaR comes??

hi readers I'm back again with the blash of NeW yEaR mint. It seems that New year is very very near. With this idea let me wish you a very very happy new year for the upcoming year. It must be sounding crazy but I know this wish is gonna work for me thru out of the year. So for the upcoming year you must have thought of lots of new stuffs and plans that you want to put into your life. But have you ever imagine what exactly happens when a new year comes? Why we just get excited and spent money like water on the 31st night. I am asking this rubbish question because as usual the sun will rise up in the east and get down in the west, as usual the air composition remains the same. The answer is just below.

By the perception of human being whenever "NEW" words get attached with the root word then the importance of that stuff increases. You can search out the market or any shopping malls, when you see a Jeans pant behind the glass with a tag "NEW design", then within a flash, adrenaline flows through your body and you rush into the rat trap of the shop n you start beholding at the illusion shown by the tag NEW.

This same scenario happens when the last week of december comes. We tag the day after the 31st as the beginning of a New year. Within this last week of december we buy the stuffs with a price higher than the usual price because we just want to have something new the next year. Within the last week of the year we just empty our pockets and nothing else.

Guys please don't consider me wrong, but I do feel that there is no use of spending much money n time when a new year comes. It should be that you should think of something "NEW" ideas n thoughts which would help you to progress the way you someday have imagined. Try to put the dreams that you must have dreamed of someday. Try to be the one to inspire others for good deeds.

Is India Really Independent?

Hi readers I'm Indian, on 15th August every year we celebrate Independence day with joy n feeling of being independent empowers the nationality feeling among us. The prime minister of India every year stands on Lal Kila for addressing the whole nation, but out of those words, most of them are the words for praising the current government. We say we are independent but my dear nation friends just think once again "R we really independent?".
Out of 100 people in India. 60 people hardly get money, food n other basic amenities for their survival. Children of age 7 to 15 are employed for hectic jobs in harmful n polluted environment. here children instead of having books in their hands, they have brush to become a cobbler n earning something for their survival. 20 out of 1000 people are dying out of hunger but our government says we have made a huge profit in exporting food items. God n the minsters know how come a country exporting food can have people who die out of hunger??? Now you decide have we got the independence from poverty????

One more thing to be noted is that, from the very start of my education I have been writing 'INDIA IS A DEVELOPING COUNTRY' n when i asked my father what he was writing, to must astonishment he had also written these words. Now also we see 'INDIA IS A DEVELOPING COUNTRY'. Now tell me how many years do a country like INDIA who have very wide range of diversity and minerals and potential as well will become a developed country. If we our neighboring country Japan, even after the nuclear attack over it in second world war, is among the top country having very strong economy.

Now Do you know the answer to the matter of India being developing from last 64 years is, only one word answer 'Corruption'. I feel its not the mistake of Indian people nor the politicians because its a disease which we are suffering from and has been injected from the age of British Rule in India.

Who ever comes to power they start their ways of earning money n making the public to suffer. In my state Orissa there are lots of issues of corruptions which have come to our sight. The government officials, even a mere peon takes bribe from common people. For instance, my friend Sidhant Dash's brother n his mother went to the 'Tahasildar' office for a sign which was required for his admission n their the peon took Rs. 150 for a single signature of the higher official, over that they had to wait for 2 hours for a single signature. These type of corruptions are happening with you also, but we are not brave enough to stand against it because we think this isnt our job to do.

Recently while doing shopping in a Mart they asked me Rs. 4 for packaging n on asking they replied that to reduce the use of plastics we have been taking this money. N if some one takes a jute bag with himself such that he won't pay for the plastic bags, which cant be reused at home, the guard outside says its not allowed. Now tell me instead of stopping the use of plastic bags, they are taking money which makes them profitable of 600% because a big plastic bag hardly cost 30 paisa. Here also these people are making corruption legally n none is there to fight against it.

Now tell me are we really independent? Do all have the right to live a proper life?

Who will stand for this? who will make this nation corruption free? Who will make you free from this corruption???

Hi readers today i am again back with a new classic bowling action of another friend named as Sai Ashish Kalo urf Ashish CrushUp. Before we come to his action, before that let me give you some brief info about this crazy friend of mine. He is 5'7 tall, curly hair n dark complexion with partial masculine figure. One sided Love

Hi readers suddenly some ideas came to my mind regarding "One sided love". From the topic itself you must have understood what ideas i want to put forward, but still then I hope that you will enjoy this.

One sided love, in country like India it happens mainly with boys more than girls because the girls is to boys ratio is very less. There are lots of people who always dream about some love that have -ve probability of happening, means zero chance but still then there is a word 'HOPE' which makes people to love with in their dreams; but there activities show in reality. The above condition is known as "One sided love".

As the sex ratio is not 1, so there is a demand of those who have girl friends. Those who have have girl friends consider them lucky enough. But there are lots of advantages of "One Sided Love" in many aspects like money, emotions and tensions. On that In Oriya, my mother tongue, there is a song regarding the advantages of one sided love also. I would like to discuss about the advantages of it so as to support who do one sided love, so as to keep going.

First of all the most important advantage is that you don't have to spend money over your girlfriend. Thats y "Ratan Tata", the great owner of Tata Group didn't marry. If you have a girl friend then make up your mind that you are having a thief who snatches away in front of yourself but you cant do anything. Forget about money for yourself, think different. In that sense one sided love is better than a relation.

Next comes 'tension', if you have someone, who says "I LOVE YOU" then this means " I WILL LOVE YOU IF YOU DO THIS OR THAT ONLY FOR ME". Got it!!!, If not then let me explain, except few, most of the relations have become conditional, which floats on Yes or No. If you say No to a girl then think you are closing up towards your relation's end. But the converse is not true enough. If a girl says No then you can't help. This happens because the bitter truth is that " If a you say No then there are other boys to say Yes to do the work for her, But if the girl says No then you can't even kill a mosquito. Simply we can say that relations' sustenance depends only on two words Yes or No. Those who do one sided love they hardly get these type of tensions ever in their life.

If we talk next then simply we define" NO SEARCH FOR BETTER". If you are in a relation then just forget about having a better one. Because If by any chance the girl knows that you are even observing another girl, for whatever matter it may be, then think of a world war for a day or two. But if a girl talks to a boy n u question about it with a brave heart then, after a single line you will be melted like a candle, n the line is" BABY DON'T YOU TRUST ME?", after this you will feel guilty of asking about the boy. In this sense also one sided love is better because at least you can choose any girl to love at anytime.

Guys there are lots more n I will about all those later on, for now this much. N those who don't have a girl friend then don't be disheartened because you can love Megan Fox aswell(Only in dreams). Don't worry some one is waiting for you which will be only for you...

Funniest Bowling actions of Rambo n Arya-2

Hi readers today i'm gonna show you the most funniest n idiotic bowling actions that someone would have ever seen. Here I'm talking about two of my friends named as Bibhu Prasad Padhi(B.P.P) and S.Rajsekhar by Parents by birth n 'Raj Arya' n 'John Max Rambo' in facebook. Both of these are very good friends of mine n very crazy like Jim Carrey n mad like Godzilla. But their bowling actions fascinates me the most.

First comes the one n only ' B.P.P urff John Max Rambo'. He is a guy who is one in a billion who hardly bowl with straight hands, n he is very famous for his 'Snake Riddler action'. So let me describe it. If we consider all the set of words separately then, Snake because he moves his hands like a snake moving on desert; Riddler because its very difficult for the batsman to predict the ball so he has to solve the riddle of action then bat but unfortunately while solving his stumps go round n round. Here is the most puzzling action's snapshots, have a look at it.

B.P.P in aero float mode before releasing the ball. Look at the way of holding the ball like a polio patient.

B.P.P in interceptor mode, locating the target's weak point.

Guys don't you find this bowling style amazing? If not then look at our next crazy bowler Mr Rajsekhar urf Raj Arya,who bowls minimum of two overs in a single over, Screwed Up?; this means he bowls minimum of twelve deliveries in a over of six, of them half will be wide or No ball. We call him local Johnson because he is left handed and his action resembles with Johnson.

Ad directors are the best Psychiatrist for common man

Hi readers this time I'm not here to tell something related to my life, rather i am gonna write regarding one of observations while watching one of the most popular gadgets, Television. Today with the advancement of economy there has been a huge demand for entertainment so as to have some relief from our busy life. From my own assumption around 95% of the whole world's population have this junk box and spends nearly 30 mins in average daily.

Now the question comes how do the TV channels make so much profit that within a year they make new channels? The answer is "Advertisement". As u can always see if a show is of 30 mins then 10 mins will be the ads. The advertisements are so made that they will make you feel that you should have it. The directors before making any ad film they first try to analysis how a people think. With that they make the ad which fits in our mind and influence us to buy it.

As i had put the title, from that itself you must have got those ideas regarding advertisements. Ad directors are the Psychiatrist for the common man because they make the ads so as to put an idea in your mind and later on the idea changes into desires and ultimately necessity for sustenance. As there is need of comfort for everyone so they try to make this need as necessity. They influence the thinking n perception of your mind. Just like the Psychiatrist they put the idea that everything that they are showing or saying is the truth that you should accept it. But the only difference between them is that psychiatrist treats mentally abnormal patients and show them reality but in converse ad directors screw up your mind by showing a model who was dark n after 7 days of using Fair n Lovely she became beautiful like katrina or with a month use if a tonic you gain your hairs like you had last 5 years back or one month use n you lose 15 kg.

In this commercial world ad films are trying to influence your mentality even by showing seductive ad films. Just like in set wet perfume, a girl starts kissing a black blind man after he applied the perfume or in addiction perfume advertisement Neil (an actor) who applied that perfume gets thumbed by lots of girls...

So finally i would like to say is that never get biased by the advertisements judge it n then decide it bye....

Hi readers today i'm totally puzzled about whats all happening in my life n i'm trying to understand what the hell does my life wants from me. Let me tell you few days back was a student of KIIT n now i'm a student of nothing because i left KIIT after looking into last years cutoff in government colleges n made me happy with a ray of hope for a better future. But this doesn't even lasted for 24 hours, when the 2nd mock counselling was released where i was getting private college. It has made me weak like a man in New York with a dollar in his pocket.

Actually my luck always sucks. When ever i try to do something good my luck ditches me and make me fall downstairs in my life. I got 3973 ranks in OJEE examination n according to last year's stats I would have got IGIT sarang Computer Science, with that hope i withdrew the money worth Rs 1.4 lakhs from KIIT university, where i had got Electronics and electrical engineering. In short i was eligible to get a sure sort job in a IT company n left it. With the hope of getting government college seat I donated a profit of 6 lakhs to KIIT university as my seat will be now a management seat, someone rich enough will buy that seat for his son or daughter.

With all those up n down now i'm totally screwed up. After admission tension next comes my health. I had my operation last month n till now a small portion of my ass is not healing up instead its bleeding n making me more weaker n weaker. With this I need to go Hospital daily n cover around 24 kms daily n spend 100 daily. The doctor is also amazed with the fact that why isn't the wound healing up n he had given sample for culture test. Because of my health my whole family is under lots of pressure and its also happening that some are not getting good sleep thinking about my health n some have wished that If i get well I have to do that n this before god. I myself is losing heart n feeling pity over myself n a question arouse 'What the F*@#king reason that i was born on this earth?

All these circumstances my mind moves round n round like wheel n doesn't reach anywhere. Sometimes the mind put forward positive ideas n some times its opposite, mostly when i see F@#king other people who where nothing before now getting what they don't deserve all because of luck n for their by birth reservation.

My bro says that i have a very good mind with lots a capability for mind imaging, but for now it seems useless because the luck has overpowered over my abilities. People says they are proud to be Indian but I feel different If India would have been such great then students wouldn't have been divided as GENERAL, SC, ST and OBC. What sort of equality is this? We say everyone is equal before law then where does this constitution people are divided depending upon race and sex. Where does this constitution goes when people who deserve better gets nothing?????

How to choose a College for Engineering

Hi readers today i'm gonna tell you some key points that you need to look for before you join any Engineering college in India. In India people mainly prefer for a good living with lots of comforts and luxury which they couldn't had in their childhood or they want more. As they grow older they get a clear picture of their aims, but unfortunately only handful of them could succeed in their life. And to succeed you need to make correct decisions in your life sensibly; out of all these ,choosing a proper college is one of them. I'm here to deal with the engineering colleges because i don't have any experience regarding other subjects.

In India there are thousands of colleges which offer you engineering courses and out of them only 20% are those which are older than you and rest are just teenagers like you or babies who have a single building for everything. But the most important point which comes before colleges is that whether you stood well in the rat race i.e the engineering entrance exam, or nt. If you have, then you can select those 20% colleges which are excellent and if you don't have then you need to be very careful regarding the rest 80%.

So first comes the matter of good rank. After that choosing a college. For that you need to make sure what you exactly want to study and what exactly is your future plan after completion of B-tech. If you get the answers then let me guess one by one. If you want to continue for your higher studies like M-tech, then its better to go for core branches like mechanical engineering or electrical engineering or civil engineering or electrical and electronics engineering or chemical engineering because once you complete your master's degree then you can avail jobs which will offer you more money. If you are aiming for destroy your importance of your B-tech then you can join a business school and have MBA and have lots of money. Or else if you want to have quick money you better join for non core branches like computer science engineering or IT of Electronics and telecommunication or manufacturing engineering.

While choosing a college first see the following points:

1. Government college or Private college; government colleges are more prefer.

2. Number of batches passed out

3.Infrastructural Facilities

4. Location

5. Faculty

6.Administration

7. Info regarding the Branch that you are getting.\

8. Placement of the seniors

9. Exposer, in the sense whether there national level seminars do held or not.

10. Labs

THIS BLOG- How n Why?

Hi readers this is my experience in making this blog and the dream behind this. I am now 12th grade passed out student who has secured 77.4% in the 12th board exam.

Some day my bro got me the social network film… I watched the movie, while watching I was astonished that a so young university student can do such wonders with just typing in the computer??? It was really awesome whenever I see the movie because every time it put me in the world of in which I see that I will be someday be like that genius guy….

Ummm I know that dreams sounds crazy that’s why no one knew about it earlier, but now its between you and me. Then someday I was surfing out the internet n thought of making a website of my own such that I will be able to give projects n assignment stuff to all our juniors n all. So one day I sat in my laptop n made the site www.kv1bbsrstd.page4.me, It was very difficult to make this site good enough for visiting by the peoples, so I was somewhat frustrated with it. Days passed n I said about the site to my fellow mates about the site that I had made of my own and their responses was not satisfactory for me… then after some days My friend Alankrit said that he had opened up a blog named “Astrix PVT.LTD” with address www.astrix4you.blogspot.com n he has sent me an invitation to my mail to join it…then I opened up my account then I found a mail from blogger regarding the blog invitation, then I accepted it n it took me to my Dashboard. I was having the power of administrator doing whatever I can with the website. It was most probably 29^th December 2010… Then it was my it was my first step to my dreams to be fulfilled, then I started learning about the blogging n all, about all the gadgets that can be installed in my website…. Initially we added another very good friend of mine that is Shubhankar Biswal… He at first posted some of the photos that he had got of some places.

Sorry sorry I forgot to say how was the name Astrix name came from… Actually in the 12^th class we were given a project to do about employee management in computer science, then we means Alankrit, Shubhankar, Abinash n me formed a group for making this project… Then for making a database first of all we needed to have a name of it, then I suggested it as ASTRIX PVT.LTD as the word astrix sounds me great… then from that day we all four started considering us as the astrix group… That’s why the blog’s name it ASTRIX PVT. LTD…

Initially we wanted to make the blog attractive n perfect for everyone, for that reason we placed all the gadgets to the blog, but later on we found that it was all for the advertisement purpose by the gadget provider so we dropped out all the gadgets from the blog n made it clean as possible… Then it was for us to make something big… For that reason we opened many pages providing one touch downloads to the movies n then songs that we had put over… the movies links were all of torrent such that everyone can download it very easily… Then I thought of making the work of juniors easier regarding the projects of computer science… For that reason a new web page named “PROJECT LINKS” was made such that we can provide all the files, it were all uploaded from my computer to the internet… Then it gradually got popularity among the classmates n among the juniors of class 11…

ASTRIX reached the initial mark of 1000 page overviews on 26^th January 2011 n It was really an awesome moment for all of the members… On 28^th of January it completed its first month in the internet….

The blog has been seen by people from all round the world n as we say that we will provide the best to all our readers we tried to do much more work… But unfortunately on 9^th Feb 2011, Google sent me a message that the blog has been noticed of providing links without the prior permission of the company… So after that we got scared and deleted two of our pages “Movies corner” and “Muzzic Corner”. It was quite depressing to shut down two important section of the blog… Then we decided to get rid of the company claims, so we decided to make our own arrangement to provide the stuff easily to all our reader, so for that reason, i decided to have free file hosting with a web site named www.verzend.be.

After some days I started learning HTML from www.w3schools.com , which was truly amazing and gave me lots of experience in making a website properly. Then after HTML it came the turn for CSS and java script, It was a very exciting to work out.

Now days I am putting my personal experience with you all so that you all can learn from the mistakes that I had committed and pain I got.

Hi readers, i'm in a great disgraceful situation where i dnt find a proper place to hide my face due to failure of performing well in the entrance-exams. Everyone of my family n neighbors hoped me to excel n d exams n join a nice universities like IITs n NITs. But nothing so happened, even though i tried my best but couldnt work out with it properly.

Today i won't lie a single thing. After my so called grand succes in class 10th of 93.6 made me blind dat i can do wat ever i want. Ya this is true unless i work out properly. I was given oppertunities to do everything that i wasnt able in 10th class. From home i got a bike n mobile phones n in school responsibility of leader n along with that enjoying life with friends more. All the above were enjoyable but i never thought that these things will bring nightmares to my life which will last forever. Days past n i was floating in my dreams with expectations as my boat. Days passed inspite of poor results in 11th unit tests, i was in a hope to do well next time. But with this i completed my 11th class wit 67%. Then i decided not to go coaching centre n study at my own, but i was went to coaching inst bcz i was compel by my father; which later on helped me a lot. Due to the influence of my friends i got a habbit of eating outside stuff n enjoy it.

From the very begining of 12th class i worked harder with a hope that i can crack IIT-JEE or at least AIEEE. Then my hard work continues but unfortunately i was weak in 11th class so while appearing full exams conducted ny coaching institutes i wasn't able to score well n bcz of that i was losing my self confidence on my own ,which was the greatest mistake of mine. Now after losing self confidence wat ever i tried it all went opposite of my expectation. In mid october 2010 due to excessive eat i got ring worms in my stomach n which made me not to attend the whole 2nd preboard n made me ill for a month. With such long gap i wasn't able to study proficiently.

Later on while in d month of january 2011, i was in an ambigious situation bcz wen i go for coaching class i feel like, i should prepare for entrance exam which include 11th class n when i return home it made me feel like that i should prepare for board exam which includes only 12th course. With this in the end i was struck between two boats where one leg is on one boat n d other leg on d other ...

Finally within few months my expectation all fragmented like burnt paper ass n finally my life is totally sucked up. I myself is responsible for this.... With this i would like to say that never float on your small achievements because there are lots to conquer.

The Unspoken Truth of this World

Hi, friends many times, sorry its better to say thousands of times it so happens that we can't express our emotions n pain before any body; It also happens that even though its necessary to express but we don't, due to complexion within our mind. Sometimes we feel that a work seems to be good enough to do but sometimes we feel its not. It so happens due to instability of our mind. And this type of thinking leads us to downfall. Here are some unspoken truths of this world.

TRUTH No.1: Communicating skills matters more than knowledge

Let me tell you, those persons who are shy n they hardly express what they think suffers the most in this world. This world salutes those who have the capability to put their ideas before others in a presentable way. The days are gone when people with knowledge were rich n respectable, but now its the age of making people influence by your communicating skills. Let me give an example, one of my bro's friend who was studying in KIIT university didn't get a job after his completion of B-tech even though he got 9.1(=91%) in CGPI. He suffered because he was poor in communicating skills. Now this world demands your quick manipulation not the book work.

TRUTH NO.2: NO PLACE FOR HUMANITY

With the advancement of technology the term humanity is also being demolished my the machine like working humans. Now no one cares about the others, even if a neighbor dies out of gun fire but we pretend that nothing has happened. No one in this world wants to live for others rather to use them n throw them after work is complete, even if that person dies the predator human would come to his funeral for the free meal that would be provided.

Unlike earlier bollywood films a mother leaves her baby in the temple because she won't be able to nourish his due to poverty n some one else will adopt that child n make him grow, now days the person who finds a lonely child will pick him up n sell it for mere 1000s to the contractors who later on make that child as a laborer after some years or else sell his kidney n different other body parts.

I'm guess after few decades the word related to "HUMANITY" won't be there in the dictionary.

TRUTH 3: Love is all fake

Now there is a huge boom in the field of flirting n loving even in small towns of the developing countries, like India as well. It has gain the most popularity among the teenagers who thinks a simple attraction as true love but ultimately they didn't get any thing rather a sucked life where they have to fight for their survival.

Now days i guess people are having lots of sexual hormones, that why there is one physical contact in relations which hardly stays for 3 to 4 months n then a some one other. Many a time its happening that girls are holding up more than one boyfriends, each for a particular purpose.
recently in the local news channel it was there that a girl first marries with a boy n then after 6 months of marriage she takes away all the money n went away, after few days she again marries another guy n again looted n went away.

Currently love has become a business deal,Girl to the Boy: " If you love me then please buy me a gold ear ring n a necklace n ..." n ultimately some day that boy gets frustrated n leaves the girl n the girl commits suicide.

My 1st Month Completion of My Operation...

Hi friends, Today that is 2nd July 2011, I'm completing one month of my operation of PINODIAL SINUS. As general understanding sinus relates with head but in my case its some what more complicated because it was in the pinodial position of body. Pinodial position is just below of our spinal cord. So hence "Pinodial"+ "Sinus" makes it pinodial sinus. I would like to share my deadly experience with you all

Let me begin from start. I had been suffering from the very beginning day of this year. First i saw on 1st January 2011. It was my worst New Year gift ever. Let me tell You the symptoms of it, a small hole n from that due to infection, bleeding in that area. After check Up the doctors named it as "Pinodial Sinus". Then for the primary treatment I had to sit in the potassium permaganate warm water hoping that by doing this the gap would get fill up , but unfortunately it was useless. At last it was decided that "Surgery was the only means to cure it. Due to my forth coming exams I had to delay my operation for 4 months.

Then on 30th may i went for the check up in the KIIMS hospital which is 20 km far from my home. We had to go there because one of my uncle is Asst Professor there. I went to the OPD of surgery then a tall young doctor "Dr. Subrat kumar Sahu" examined my ass along with my uncle n finally decided to have my operation to have on 2nd June which was Thursday because according to Indian culture it is a holly day n a good day to start a work.

On 1st June i got admitted n i was in the males AC ward n a nurse came n gave me a pencilin injection for preventing any sort of infection while operation. then with due permition of the Doc we came back to home because there was no arrangement for my parents to stay. Next day we came early by 7 am n then a nurse came with a 8 cm long needle with a end hemispherical so as to attach the saline pipe. Then a 1l bottle hung n some liquid kept on dipping. On inquiring the nurse said that the needle is called"VEIN FLOW".

After 3 hours the time for my operation came. I walked to the operation theater with that ugly dress with no buttons rather only strings to get attach and after that the most painful moment came, the time to have the anesthesia in my spinal cord which almost feel like dying n few moment later i wasn't able to lift my leg or even move a little bit.

After 2 hours the operation was over then i was transferred came to my new cabin where there was private bathroom, AC, TV which fascinated me a lot. I used to have four injections daily, two in morn n two at night, and two tablets and i was also adjoint with a pipe which used to suck the secretion from my wound. Days past like a bullock cart because the only thing i was doing is to sleep or watch television. For eight days i was caged among the four walls. Friends and relatives came to see me n console me as well as I wasn't to stand or walk or sit.

On returning home i was welcomed by my elder bro who was there at home because he was suffering from malaria n had taken leave from his company. In every alternate day i go for dressing purpose n Now even on the completion of one month, i'm not completely recovered n go for dressing...

This is about the deadly experience with "PINODIAL SINUS". I hope no one suffers from this disease.

MISSILES OF इंडिया, PART-1

PRITHVI MISSILE (पृथ्वी मिस्सिले)

The Prithvi (Earth) is a single stage, dual engine, liquid fuel (red fuming nitric acid as an oxidiser, with a 50/50 mix of xylidiene and triethylamine as fuel), road-mobile, short-range ballistic missile which began design in 1983 and was first tested in 1988. The missile has a length of 9 metres, a diameter of 1.1 metres and a weight of 4000 kg. It has a unique appearance, with four delta-shaped wings midway down the fuselage. The missile’s volatile liquid fuel launch mode must be loaded immediately prior to launch, which might prove to be a disadvantage in the field. However liquid fuel gives better accuracy and the missile crews who operate them undergo intense training in three general phases; missile sub-system, handling & maintenance. An advanced simulator has been developed to train the missile crews in it’s operation. Liquid fuel also provides the capability, for in-flight manoeuvring; the missile is capable of being manoeuvred up to 15º in flight.

Prithvi has a distinctive design, using a particular gyro system with a uniquely configured software. When the flight is in progress, the drift can be monitored through the on-board computer. It has other innovations as well; the type of thrust termination is so innovatively configured that for a multiple payload, multiple ranges can be achieved. The strap-down inertial guidance system has a twin microprocessor-based computer integrated with interrupt-driven, real time software. Its navigation system guides it to the target within a CEP (Circular Error Probable) equal to .01% of its range. During one test, the missile reportedly achieved a high accuracy rate, which suggests that guidance system may include the capability of feeding GPS inputs into its inertial navigation system.

Initially two variants were developed at DRDO, one for the Army and the other for the Air Force, but presently the SS-250 is only variant being produced at Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL), Hyderabad. The Army version, designated as the SS-150 had a range of 150 km and could carry up to a maximum of a 1000 kg as its payload. The Air Force version, designated as the SS-250 had a range of 250 km and could carry up to a maximum of a 500 kg as its payload. By using boosted liquid propellant to generate more thrust-to-weight ratio, DRDO has increased the payload of the SS-250 to 1000 kg. The Prithvi reportedly has the highest warhead-weight to overall-weight of any missile in its class.

The missile can carry a variety of conventional warheads such as pre-fragmented explosives, bomblets, incendiary, cluster munitions, sub-munitions, fuel-air explosives and high-explosives. The nuclear tests conducted in May 1998 proved that miniaturized nuclear warheads of various yields can also be fitted and Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, the then-incumbent Scientific Advisor to the Government and DRDO Chief, stated that a few days after the Shakti-98 n-tests. However, after the Agni-I MRBM test in January 2002, K. Santhanam - former RAW officer, DRDO technical advisor, nuclear scientist and presently IDSA Director - stated that the Prithvi missile was never meant to carry nuclear warheads under normal circumstances. This indicates that the solid-fuelled Agni has completely taken over the ‘nuclear’ role from the liquid-fuelled Prithvi.

The missile is strengthened against ABM defences with a guidance system that can be programmed to follow up to six different trajectories so as to avoid interception. Another defence the missile has, is the application of a special type of radar absorbing paint to reduce radar signature. For field operations, the missile will be transported on an all-terrain, eight wheel Kolos Tatra 4×4 truck. The missile is deployed from the vehicle and fired from a simple launcher. Each battery of four Prithvi carrier vehicles will be accompanied by a missile re-supply & loading vehicle, a propellant tanker and also a command post to provide target data to the missile’s guidance system before launch. It also has an integrated surveillance & mission support capability and other support vehicles & equipment.

By October 1995, 20 pre-production Prithvi SS-150s were delivered to the Army to form the 333rd Missile Group based in Secunderabad. Two more have been formed since, 444 and 555. The former has been raised and trained and should receive its equipment soon, while the latter exists only on paper and is yet to be raised. Each group will have 12 launchers, with possibly another three more acting as reserves. Around 120 Prithvis (both variants) have been produced to date, at BDL, with 40-50% of them being the SS-250 and is now the only production version at BDL. Various technical tests of the SS-250 variant have been carried out and a recent one on 31 March 2001, reportedly carried multiple payloads over 250 km and was solid-fuelled. On 18 April 2001 in Parliament, then-incumbent Defence Minister Jaswant Singh stated that the SS-250 was being inducted into the IAF, but apparently the IAF plans to use it only for familiarisation training.

The last Prithvi test occurred on 12 December 2001 and was reportedly liquid-fuelled. The test was flawless and the missile impacted at the intended target point accurately. This Prithvi was provided with a homing facility and was a more advanced version than the one tested in March 2001. Significantly in December 1998, the Army deployed the SS-150 in a major military exercise for the first time since its induction. Code-named Shiv-Shakti, the military exercise signified that the Prithvi had been further inducted into the military doctrine. If the missile is deployed in states like Kashmir, Punjab and Gujrat which border Pakistan, it would place the cities of Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Hyderabad and many of Pakistan’s strategic military installations within its range. An unspecified number of Prithvis are rumoured to be based near Jalandhar, northern Punjab, for use as a tactical battlefield missile against Pakistan.

AGNI I (अग्नि प्रथम)

The Agni-I (Fire) is a 15-metre tall, 12-ton, single-stage, solid-fuelled, medium range ballistic missile. The missile is smaller than its big brother - the Agni-II IRBM - in dimensions and range, but can still carry a one ton nuclear payload to most targets in Pakistan without having to be deployed at the borders. The core and triggers can be swiftly assembled by BARC (Bhaba Atomic Research Centre) and DRDO (Defense Research & Development Organisation) - within India’s avowed no-first-use paradigm. Agni-I is also designed to be launched from a rail-based mobile launcher; one that can move on a standard broad-gauge rail system and also from a road-mobile launcher system. DRDO’s Ahmednagar-based VRDE (Vehicle Research & Development Establishment) and the Pune-based R&DE (Research & Development Engineers) played important roles in validating the tractor-cum-transporter-cum-launcher. A mobile missile system reduces vulnerability and allows for greater operational flexibility, while critics feel that the cost of these mobile systems could be higher and that they greatly increase the time for moving from one place to another.

DRDO’s Chief Controller of R&D (Missiles), Dr. A.S. Pillai, stated that Agni-I incorporates new guidance & control systems and there was also significant improvements in its re-entry technology and manoeuvrability. With only one stage, the weight is less but the thrust is the same, giving the missile more acceleration. As to it’s name of Agni-I, Dr. Pillai said it was christened so because it had a shorter range. When DRDO started the Agni project, it was part of the Integrated Guided Missile Development Program (IGMDP) and the first flight was intended as a technology demonstrator. After its successful completion, the Agni-II program was taken up. Since the range of the new missile lay between that of Prithvi-II and Agni-II, it was called Agni-I. The series is now called Agni, Agni-II and Agni-I, according to Dr. Pillai.

The requirements for the shorter range were met with some modifications to the Agni-II and instead of developing a new missile from scratch, DRDO decided to scale down the Agni-II, which has two solid stages. It used only the first stage and thus range has been reduced. Test and evaluation assumed more importance in the design of the missile, in concept validation and in terms of proving the systems for production of the missile. The first test, from a road-mobile launcher, was conducted on 25 January 2002 to a range of 700 km and was termed an accurate and successful flight which met its mission objectives. Additional tests may not be required, as the re-entry vehicle has been rigorously tested in its previous flights over all dynamic parameters, and the system may already be cleared for operational use. This strategic missile will join the Army and reportedly a Agni missile regiment is being raised for the purpose.

The diagram (above) shows the range of the Agni-I against Pakistan, at ranges of 700 km, 860 km and 1200 km. Being road and/or rail mobile, the missile won’t be prone to pre-emptive strikes and solid fuel ensures a quick and safe launch. All these combine to ensure a sound second strike capability.

During the test, the Agni-I missile was launched at a sub-optimal trajectory to reach an altitude of 300 km on a range of 700 km, corresponding to launch angle of 67º. The missile re-entered the atmosphere and splashed down in the Bay of Bengal. For the optimal 45º launch angle, the maximum altitude would be ~185 km and travel a range of 860 km in about seven minutes. With a special weapons load, Agni-I can reach 1200 km. The Agni-I MRBM missile has following operational superiority as compared to the Agni-II IRBM:

1. Lower cost: of unit procurement, ancillary support (trucks & storage building), maintenance and deployment (upgrading bridge, rail-stock).
2. Simplicity of single stage rocket: higher mission reliability improved safety, handling, operation, training & up-time (% time ready to be used).
3. More mobile: Easier & flexible deployment options.
4. More accurate (as compared to two-stage missile, i.e. Agni-II): higher effectiveness.
5. Stealth features: Smaller less conspicuous main and support vehicles, and a stealthy re-entry vehicle (RV) - which is very difficult to detect and defeat by a first generation ABM system - makes it an effective second strike weapon.

New Data Points & Technical Aspects:

1. Unlike the Agni-II, the RV of Agni-I does not have fins, indicating use of a new method for RV manoeuvring.
2. The re-entry velocity is significantly lesser than the Agni-II and thus there is more room for terminal manoeuvrability, or conversely for original degree of manoeuvrability albeit with a heavier payload.
3. The shorter-range missile does not require additional velocity from RV-thrusters, saving fuel space & weight for additional electronic gear, decoy or bigger payload.
4. The single-stage Agni-I with 12 ton GLOW (Gross Launch Overall Weight), is estimated to have combined RV & Payload weight of 2T, which appears heavier than the Agni-II. This may be useful for additional avionics, decoys or a heavier conventional payload.

Performance Aspects:

a) Given the strategic role of Agni-I, lack of fins on the RV and from item 2 above, the missile RV-body has greater terminal flight control envelop for better overall accuracy, not to mention additional improvement due to better navigational accuracy at shorter ranges.
b) From items 1 & 4 above, the Agni-I likely has a RV thruster for re-entry control and terminal steering, enabling a wider flight control envelope for better accuracy.
c) From item 1 above, the Agni-I is expected to have a smaller RCS signature, which makes detection by radar even more difficult.

Strategic Aspects of Agni-I Evolution:

On political aspects, the decision to develop Agni-I was the result of a discussion on the need to have a intermediary range missile between the short range Prithvi-II (250 km) and the longer range Agni-II (2500 km). The discussion was initiated in June 1999 at the height of the Kargil imbroglio. The concern was that advanced deployment of the Prithvi could be misinterpreted as lowering the nuclear threshold. Yet press reports after the crisis was resolved, indicated that four Prithvis and one Agni were activated. Obviously the misinterpretation would not have happened if sufficient Agni missiles were around for the task or these were tasked for other targets. Also there is the question of minimum range for the Agni which precluded more of them being tasked as a result of the Kargil crisis. Hence the need for the intermediary missile.

Soon after in late June 1999, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif went to Washington D.C. and agreed to withdraw Pakistani troops from the heights of Kargil. The decision was taken in October 1999, which is a full three months after the discussion was initiated. This period must have been spent in trade studies to determine the feasibility of designing such an intermediary missile. K. Santhanam in an interview to ‘Times of India’ stated that it took 15 months to develop the missile and its road-mobile launcher. This indicates Agni-I development was over by December 2000. News reports indicate that the missile was ready for testing in December 2001 but was postponed twice to ease tensions. Either this was a development flight to qualify the missile or was done to proof the batch by confirmatory testing. It could be the latter as a statement by DRDO after this test, suggested speedy deployment in the armed forces.

On technical aspects, Agni-I design is said to have used existing sub-assemblies of the Agni-II vehicle with modifications. In addition the closed loop guidance scheme for the missile trajectory was worked out. Some of the airframe and sub-assemblies were reworked due to the higher boost phase accelerations for this intermediary missile compared to the Agni-II. This is true for the RV on Agni-I, since it will see much higher accelerations due to the reduced overall mass of the vehicle. We can infer that the RV has been qualified now for higher accelerations than on the Agni-II and this has implications for the planned longer-range missiles (Agni-III). It has been stated that Agni-III is in development and is rail-mobile as opposed to road-mobile and has a range of 3500 - 4000 km and its first test may occur in late 2003. Experts have commented on the reactive nature of the Indian system in developing this missile. However the IGMP was successful due to its close interaction with the armed forces and the fact that the low range of the Prithvi could be viewed as de-stabilizing is an indication of the cursory nature of strategic assessment by various interests - DRDO and the armed forces.

Since arms control issues were involved it would be interesting to find out the involvement of the MEA experts in this matter. Another issue to pick a bone with is the reason for the Prithivi program. From “Wings of Fire” (by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam) it is clear that the project was implemented as a morale booster for disheartened scientists in DRDL who had worked on a previous program named Devil. And after the first flights it developed its own constituency. It is a sorry state of affairs when a weapons system implemented as a morale booster, ended up creating heartburn about lowering the nuclear threshold. Someone higher up should have stepped in long ago and come up with a less destabilizing system. It only goes to show that special weapons are complex systems and have deeper ramifications that have to be understood before proceeding.

Summary:

1. India has an intermediary range missile which can be deployed far away from pre-emptive strike zones and could be activated without lowering the nuclear threshold. It is based on a solid fuel vehicle, which reduces the time factor for assured retaliation. Thus it enhances the credibility of the deterrent.
2. India has an RV and sub-assemblies that have been qualified for higher accelerations than the Agni-II vehicle. This implies these can be used on longer range vehicles as needed.
3. Agni-I is very accurate as it uses the Agni-II guidance sub-systems over shorter range, and better RV configuration for extended flight control envelope.
4. The Indian system can and does react in a quick manner to immediate threats. It has to strengthen its review process and ensure participation of all stakeholders.

AGNI II

The Agni (Fire) is an Intermediate Range Ballistic Missile which had begun development in 1979. It became part of India’s Integrated Guided Missile Development Program (IGMDP) in 1983. The first Agni test occurred on 22 May 1989, and two more tests were conducted on 29 May 1992 and 19 February 1994. These tests were technology test-beds (TTBs) for developing vehicle structure, integration, navigation and control, flight dynamics and re-entry vehicle technology. The TTBs achieved a maximum range of 1500 km, however the main drawback was the missile’s solid-liquid propulsion configuration, which seemed unsuitable for an operational IRBM. Thus the Agni-II was developed, which had a length of 20 metres, a diameter of 1.3 metres and weighs 16 tonnes, and is an improvement over its predecessor which had a length of 21 metres and weighed 19 tonnes.

The first prototype of an operational variant, the Agni-II, was tested on 11 April 1999 at 9:47 a.m. IST (Indian Standard Time). The missile was tested to a range of ~2100 km, taking 11 minutes to reach target and was a perfect textbook launch. This first test of Agni-II occurred exactly 11 months after India’s nuclear tests on 11 May 1998. A second Agni-II test occurred on 17 January 2001 at 10:01 a.m. IST (Indian Standard Time) and was tested to a range greater than 2100 km. After the second test, Agni’s Program Director - Professor P.N. Aggarwal - said, “The flight test results have indicated that mission objectives were met satisfactorily.” Although this was the second Agni-II test, it was for the first time that the missile was test-fired in its final configuration. Reportedly, the focus of the test was to observe the accuracy at an increased range. An official, connected with the Agni-II program said, “The re-entry control and guidance technology have already been tested, but accuracy at increased ranges was to be tested.” A maximum range of 3000 km can be achieved, using specific payloads.

Both stages of the Agni-II have a solid propulsion system, which allows the missile to be mobile and flexible. This was confirmed, as the test which was conducted on 11 April 1999, was a rail-based missile launcher. The solid-fuel motor in the first stage of Agni-II, is similar to the first stage in the technology test-bed, itself based on the SLV-3 Space Launch Vehicle. However the solid-fuel motor in the second stage of Agni-II, has been reportedly designed anew for the missile. For manoeuvrability and thrust control, the second stage has a flex nozzle which enables small changes in the thrust vector direction in flight. The flex nozzle can be exploited with the help of an on-board closed-loop guidance & control system. Till now, the flex nozzle has been used only in the third-stage motor of the PSLV. At a range of 2000+ km, Agni-II has an apogee (the farthest point from earth) of 405 km, a re-entry speed of 3.9 km/second and a boost phase of 110 seconds. The re-entry vehicle uses its manoeuvring fins to porpoise the warhead, to avoid missile defenses while manoeuvring to its target, employing a terminal guidance radar operating in the C- and S-bands.

The then-incumbent Scientific Advisor to the Government and DRDO Chief, Dr. Abdul Kalam, has said that what is unique about the Agni-II is the trajectory shaping and guidance that is possible through software. Agni-II, has appropriate on-board thrusters fitted on the second stage of the missile. This is because solid fuel is allowed to burn completely, which means that the velocity increment achieved before re-entry could be more or less from the mission perspective. Further, there is considerable dispersion or variation in the burn and thrust time of solid fuels. Any compensation that is given to the missile during its ballistic phase (which happens once the second stage is fully burnt out) should be based on the on-board sensor data and should be amenable to being adjusted reactively. These on-board thrusters are driven by liquid-fuel and provide small increments in the appropriate directions to shape the trajectory depending upon the target of the mission. It is these thrusters that give the manoeuvrability during the missile’s re-entry phase. This has apparently been optimised through on-board software which, based on the initial trajectory fed in, does an appropriate velocity trimming. In effect this is a hot gas active velocity correction system.

Agni’s Project Director, Avinash Chander, said the effort to operationalise the missile system was complex, as it involved reducing the host of computer’s processing information, both inside the missile and ground control systems, to a single control system. To ensure greater reliability of the missile, they reduced the mass of over 600 different sets of communications channels, involving 24 km of cabling, to just 10 pairs requiring one-eighth of the original wiring. A new concept has been adopted for the on-board navigation system, which is the 1553 Data Bus. It is the standard that is adopted in civilian aircraft (circuit routing and device mounting) and all the software in the Agni-II has been designed around this bus. DRDO sources claim that this reduces the number of connectivities and also making the missile a little more rugged. However, certain missile analysts feel that a standard bus may not be the best path to follow. They say that a customised bus is better because in a standard bus, one tends to use off-the-shelf electronic devices whose performance may not be optimal. However most modern missiles are moving towards digital buses using commercial off-the-shelf technology and which enables affordable sub-system replacement. A customized bus would lead to more delays and increased costs which should be avoided to prevent needless expenditure.

Another major feature in terms of operational configuration is that Agni-II is designed to be launched from a rail-mobile launcher; one that can move on a standard broad-gauge rail system. The technology test-beds, however, had been designed as a road-mobile system. There are pluses and minuses to this change. A rail- and/or road-based missile system reduces vulnerability and allows for greater operational flexibility, while critics feel that the cost of these mobile systems could be higher and that they greatly increase the time for moving from one place to another. Considering that except in some parts - for instance, India’s north-eastern region - road infrastructure is available wherever rail tracks are available, the decision to become rail-mobile could mean, in strategic terms, that deployment in India’s north-eastern region is to be considered a serious possibility. Assuming that Agni-II is to be deployed in India’s north-eastern region and even given a 2,000+ km range, Agni-II can still not reach vast parts of China - including Beijing, which is over 3000 km away. Therefore, a longer-range Agni variant may well be required if the need for a deterrent against China is being seriously felt.

While a new and longer-range system can certainly be developed if the Services require it, the present configuration is in operational mode, says Dr. Kalam. Range, he adds, could be optimised by appropriately configuring the payload mass. According to him, a road mobile version would also be available and it would be then left to the Services to choose according to their operational convenience. He also says that additional tests are not needed to operationalise the Agni-II. This indicates that the re-entry vehicle has been rigorously tested in its previous flights over all the dynamic parameters and is qualified. If inducted, Agni-II will reportedly always be in a ready-to-fire mode and can be launched within 15 minutes as compared to almost half a day of preparation for the technology test-beds. A longer-range version, designated Agni-III, is being planned and K. Santhanam - former RAW officer, DRDO technical advisor, nuclear scientist and presently IDSA Director - stated that Agni-III is indeed in the developmental stage. The missile will be rail-mobile, with a range of 3,500 - 4,000 km and a first test may occur in 2003.

Reports of the missile having a GPS (Global Positioning System) is not true, as Dr. Kalam has said, and adding that it depends on several external influencing factors and this would make the system vulnerable to external interference. However, many tactical missiles the world over do use GPS systems. DRDO officials say that the use of GPS had been considered for Agni-II at some point of time. It is possible that, GPS augmented mode could be used for conventional versions to increase accuracy. A Japanese newspaper report stated that Agni-II achieved a Circular Error Probable of 40 metres. This however, has yet to be confirmed from reliable sources. If true, it certainly is an improvement since the technology test-beds reportedly had a CEP of ±100 metres. DRDO’s Chief Controller of R&D (Missiles), Dr. A.S. Pillai, stated after the Agni-II test, “We have improved accuracy by a factor of at least three. It is a far more lethal missile now.” He also said that the missile would have a unique on-board energy management system and an on-flight guidance process using navigational sensor technology.

Dr. Kalam, said that the complete re-entry hypersonic flow was simulated in the Computational Fluid Dynamics, on a super-computer. Import content in the Agni-II is less than 10%, as stated by Dr. Kalam. Cost estimates for the Agni-II vary and are subject to change depending on the number produced. Many conventional warheads have been developed for use with the strategic missile, everything from bomblets to guided munitions to even fuel air explosives. The low CEP is thus needed for the conventional mission. The most important warhead the Agni-II is designed to and will carry is a one-tonne nuclear device, using a thermonuclear design, which was tested successfully on 11 May 1998. Dr. Kalam confirmed that nuclear warheads can be fitted on the Agni-II in April 1999.

Although the Indian Government denies that the Agni-II will be nuclear-armed, many Indian analysts point out, that the missile costs too much to develop for just delivering conventional payloads. Reportedly Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL), Hyderabdad, is planning to manufacture 10 to 12 Agni-IIs annually. In May 2001, and again in July 2001, the then-incumbent Defence Minister Jaswant Singh informed the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) that the Agni-II is operational, limited production had begun and induction being planned during 2001-2002. On 14 March 2002, Defence Minister George Fernandes informed Indian Parliament that the Agni-II has entered the production phase and is under induction.

The TRUTH About VIT!!!

Please READ the Whole of IT. It might seem lenghty but will stop you from commiting a
mistake. It took me half an hour too write .. but it takes less than 10 mins to read. (i
wish someon else had written this b4 i joined this college.)

So all you people might have bought tha amazing looking brochure. N might have seen the DVD.
I heard 2 lakh people are giving this exam this time. WOW. That is more than the people who
applied for IIT-JEE in 2005. Now you might think that this college looks so awesum .. WOW ..
i must be here .. So beautiful campus .. SHIT ! Its too good .. look at the placements !!
look at the library ! the hostel !!! the tt !! .. and so on.. initially my reaction was the
same .. but all this is just something to attract lot of students .. now let me tell you a
lil about myself. M in 1st year EEE , From VIT , From New Delhi . I came to vit in the
second counselin itself. The campus is brilliant but lemme tell you the xperience's
afterwards.

* The management at the VIT is rotten to the core. And i mean it. After counselling, which
went pretty well , we had the hostel room allotement. So you might be thinking .. it went
pretty well too .. but lemme tell yu .. the hostel allotment was the worst.. even tho these
ppl have the rooms... they will make yu go around thousand times .. ask yu to waste 3 days..
the chief warden here is a madman. So after 4 days of fighting,stayin in a hotel i got a
room . But cudnt blieve it .. man it was 6 bed room the size of 3 normal size bathrooms put
together.. lolz ... man believe me it SUCKs.. actually the 3 bed room is converted into six
bed.. cuz they have increased the intake from 1200 to 1600 way more than the campus can
support ,, and the hostels too .. so the same is going to happen to YOU. hehehe .. nwz as we
continue .. the TT looks so SEXY from outside .. but the instant u go in the class in first
sem .. itz like worse then the classrooms in the govt college. i dont know but i may be
feelin this cuz i studied in a good skul in delhi fer 14 years but still this DUZNT
happen... the scond thing is that each class will contain aroun 120 students .. lolz ... so
first sem u r dead. they are corrupted takin in managemnt students more than they shud .
they take bribes n everything .. they are worse than govt officials.

* The teachers at VIT are damn bad.. n thats the truth.. most of the teachers at vit are
taken straight from college 4 years ( oders ) having no educational teaching xperience.. so
they are south indians... with south indian incomprehensible accent ( no offense but its not
understandable ) n some unknown grudge n a mighty ego against the students. SO the situation
TILL NOW. You are stuck in a 6 bed room ( if u come l8 fer counselling ) .. u are sittin in
a very bad class wid 120 students n a sucky teacher whu duznt know wat he is teaching n its
bloody hot n the room duznt have an a/c.

* The life at vit is unbearable. there are almost no xtraciricular activities. u dont know
wat is happenin wen. i heard that there are more than 50 grps n activities.. so i joind the
music club as i play guitar n stuff. But to my astonishment , the music room was friggin
small ... it was like 3mx3m . with broken drumsets n broken guitar n broken stuff.. n no
proper system fer bands to play . its the seniours who decide who is goin to play .. but
luckily ( thanks to a surprise visit by DD tv to check the "social" life of the campus ) we
got a bigger room .. bbut overall lemme tell u. ur attendance should be 75 % n no grants are
given fer extraciricular activietes. The management motto is " SHUT UP N STUDY or Leave the
college ".

* so the teachers dont know how to teach n there are no xtracircular activites n college
gettogethers. To add to this .. the study load is too much. We have got the CAM system ( the
" Continious Assesment Marks " which continuassly "assess" ur performance at the xam ) so
after a month of attending classes and not grasping anythng the CAM were here.I fortunately
passes by studyin a day b4. lol . So after celebrating .. they were there again .. after a
month to haunt me ... n then there are friggin model test in labs , so many labs to cope up
with , so many classes . the studies in vit is mark oriented. u do practicals widout ne1
xplainin nething.n then after a month the terminal xams. ultimately the situation is
everyday ur havin n xam n u get seriously f'd up < get the meaning>

* now the situation is ur copin wid xams , fitin a battle everyday hehe . So u basically
want to socialise wid the ppl around. But according to vit .. Socialisation = Boy+Boy or
Girl+Girl .. no boy- girl combination .. gulz are supposed to get in the hostels strait
after the class ..leavin half an hour margin for friendz to meet... n boyz are off limits
the gulz hostel in around 100 m radius.the management thinks that all boys are perverted or
crap like that.. they are still living in medieval age.Oh i almost fergot.. if gulz
have to leave the campus they cant go out fer more than 2 hrs n they have to submit
sum kinda card at the gate so as to know where u r goin.

* also in the nearby area .. there is NO life .. u shud see the only cinema hall here .. i
havent seen a single muv after the first one i saw over here. fullstop.
No barista , no ccd , no place to hang out wid frenz xcept food court wich u eventually get
bored off .. no malls nuthin .. vellore is a village.

* u mit have seen the placement companies. highest taker is tcs. highest package offer :4
lakhs. avg 2 lakhs. No foriegn placements ( u mit have seen many "abroad" placements
cmpanies in the brochure but after comin here u will know that is all lies .. they get 1
student place there intentionally n then say that company name. last time IBM took only 2
students or sumthin like that n they say that IBM was ther fer campus placements.lolz.
liars.the 9 pointer n the 6 pointer < that is like 90 percentile and 60 percentile > have
the same placement, so no use to study.

gf's msg n the registrar called up his father that he has msgs from his gf. LOOOL.
*u cant enter the hostel after intime .
*u hafto give attendance every night in the hostels. ( U heard it right.) So if u absent
someday u hafto give xplanation.
*if u wanto go fer a vacation : u hafto run from hostel to main building and back fer at
least 3 times cuz of take sign from the coordinator, mess supervisor ( for mess refund) the
chief warden.
* life is very tuf for gulz . the wardens are very bad n interfering in personal matter.

ANOTHER ONE

A visit to VIT
In a older post I had said that VIT's position in India Today's ranking was undeserved. Well yesterday I had the chance to go to VIT. My cousin sister had counselling in VIT and my Mama had asked me to come along. What I saw at VIT is divided into 3 parts. The good, the bad and the ugly.

The good
1. The buildings at VIT look absolutely gorgeous from the outside. The library in particular was really well done. I wish we had a library like that (I'm talking just about the building here) in IIIT.
2. A building called the technology tower was also very impressive with it's hanging gardens theme.
3. Canteen Rocks!
4. Sports facilities were pretty good. A tad over-indulgent to be honest.
5. Nice lawns. the walkways have small shades built all over them to escape from the sun which I hear is pretty strong usually.

The Bad
1. During the counselling they totally mis-represented the placements. When I asked for an average for the CS department the answer was it's somewhere between 3 and 5 lpa. When I asked for a number, I was, after a lot of persuasion, given a number of 3.3 Lpa by somebody in the PAT dept.
2. I wanted to go and check out the the CS department. I was stopped by one of the many rude security guards present in the campus. When I insisted he took me to some faculty member who was apparently a prof. He asked me stuff like "why do you want to see the dept.?", "What is the point in speaking to he faculty?" etc... I then walked into the office of the Public relations officer who, scared of me creating a scene told the guard to take me to the CS department. Why would you stop people from checking out departments?
3. There are apparently 500 students in a single batch of computer science. I enquired about this branch coz this is the one my cousin is joining. 500 people! Source P.R.Officer

The ugly

1.In the batch of 500 students 266 seats were offered through counselling and the rest i.e.234 were offered under the management quota. This is shocking. So much so that I confirmed this thrice. Once with the PRO, once with the admissions office and once more with some CS faculty!! Apparently the numbers for ECE and some extent EEE are also rather identical!! For those people who had commented on my blog about VIT offering only 10% seats through donations....People go check you figures. These are shocking proportions to take through management quotas!!
2. After I manged to get into the CS dept. I spoke to some faculty members. I cannot express in words how poor they were. VIT has about 180 faculty members in the CS dept. Of these 3~4 have PhD's the rest of the people have a B.tech/MCA background. I spoke to about 15 faculty members and hardly anyone was capable of carrying out a conversation on any academic lines. I was left speechless at how unbelievable bad there are. I have absolutely no idea of how these people are going to educate students in the art of CS! Here is a part of a conversation I had with 3 faculty members. All 3 were senior lecturers. I will not use names Razz

f1: What are doing(as in where are u studying?)
me: sir I'm at IIIT-h. I'm a dual degree student. I'm doing my ms/r part right now.
f1: what is ms/r
me: This means you will get your MS for research work and not coursework. You will have to produce some research work that will form your thesis and after that you need to defend it.(some more explanation about msbr followed)
f2: So you don't do any courses in your final year?
me: yeah pretty much. The focus is on research.
f2: Tch Tch what kind of a PG course is this? You should look at the M.tech course at VIT. We teach our students advanced concepts like software engg and java programming!
f3: so You need to just present a few papers and you get your MS?
me:(utterly shaken state) Yes thats it ...just a few papers(sigh!)

some time later we came to the topic of placements.

f2: we had very good placements this year. M$ , google and yahoo came here.
me: How many people did google hire?
f2: Google didn't hire anybody.
f3: actually google's selection process was wrong. They allowed only computer science people to sit for their written tests and in that written test they asked things that were out of syllabus.
At this point I started to giggle!
f3: Why man ...what is so funny?
me: Nothing sir...I was just thinking how silly these IT companies can be! Asking things out of syllabus is really atrocious Very Happy

There is a lotta more masala where this came from but I shall not write it in respect of those Studying at VIT (which includes my cousin Razz)

But on a more serious note what I saw at VIT was the unholy nexus of money and education in it's full fury. While I'm not against institutes charging very high fees, I'm against institutes selling them. Also I have now developed great respect for those who study at VIT and manage to do well with their careers. It's a credit to them to be able to emerge from this mess and do well. I hope my cousin can do the same.

And for India today and all those who campaigned for VIT on one of my previous posts. It is very irresponsible of you to attempt to position VIT as a top class institute ahead of NIT-T,NIT-w and IIIT-h. For those who study there and know the place I'm even more shocked that they would consider lobbying for VIT. With the faculty you have and the method of admissions....all your infrastructure counts for absolutely nothing. I never ever imagined that the faculty would be so so atrociously bad. Good luck to whoever studies there.
