In the last ten days we have heard a lot about the Department of Justice going after reporters for the AP in the attempt to find out who was leaking stories. I am reminded of the early 70′s when reporters involved breaking stories like Watergate, The Pentagon Papers etc.

I was thinking about Daniel Ellsberg who was responsible for Pentagon Papers being released and I went looking for a chart on him when I saw that Patrick Watson has written a very thoughtful and clear piece about Uranus and whistle blowing.

Busy Morning! That’s the Gemini.

I did get my Mercury /Pluto/Chiron realization. Right on target,
and in time for the Scorpio Moon.

My childhood is rich territory,
and we could easily mine it for Saturn, Neptune, or Uranian insight,
just today, let’s look at power imbalance and response.

I’ve come up with a rating system for planting days using Moons. Today and most of tomorrow (May 24th and 25th) are 3-Moon days. It doesn’t get any better than that.

The water signs ~ Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces ~ are the most fertile planting days of the lunar garden calendar. They’re all 3-Moon days. 2-Moon days are Taurus and Capricorn. 1-Moon days are Virgo and Libra.

The barren signs ~ Aries, Leo, Sagittarius, Gemini and Virgo ~ get no moons because they’re not good for planting. They’re better used for other gardening activities.

The Moon is waxing in Scorpio through 5:05pm (EDT) May 24th. This is a fantastic time to do some late spring planting of annuals. I’ve got several packets of flower seeds that I haven’t gotten around to planting yet. Today’s the day! We were blessed with …

Thursday morning the Moon in Scorpio conjuncts Saturn, sextiles Pluto, and quincunxes Uranus. As volatile as things have been, the Moon here is a boon. While the Moon touches on the Pluto-Uranus square, it does so from a position of stability, its back to Saturn. It’s like standing on a pile of rubble and saying, “So?” There’s the trouble and there’s the day after. This is the day after mood. Lévi- Strauss’s seminal book La Pensee Sauvage is translated into English as the Savage Mind, which is not quite right, of course, and sounds vaguely pejorative. Sauvage means wild, as in the opposite of domesticated. Pensée is thought. So you could read this more as Untamed Thinking. Another direct translation is Wild Pansy.

If you look at the myths of a culture collectively, you see that they are like a hall of mirrors. There is no one authentic, original myth. Instead the stories reflect and evolve in response to each other. It’s like a continuous debate. Each tale takes the previous one and transforms it.; then maybe reflects it back and the previous one is changed. There is a binary, oppositional quality to this way of thinking, but it is not exclusively so.
