You begin the month with the Sun @ 11 degrees Pisces, the Moon in Gemini, Mercury at the last degree of Pisces (visiting Aries on Friday) Venus in Aries until the 5^th when she visits her home of Taurus, Mars is still retrograding in Virgo, Jupiter in Taurus, Saturn retro in Libra, Uranus travelling through Aries, Neptune enjoying his return to Pisces and Pluto in Capricorn. Can we ‘blame’ Mars – why not! He’s been too long in your opposite sign and when he leaves you’ll be able to breathe a sigh of relief for you’ll now get things done or, the start the things you want to start – write the 16^th of April in your diary for a day of celebration – Mars will start to move forward and ‘get the hell’ out of your solar 7^th.

As your ruler hasn’t been in your sign for many a year the following will be seen or imagined for the future: This is the start of a new chapter to your life where, if you listen to your own instincts and let go of past fears and doubts, happiness and contentment comes your way. If you don't let go (and this is easier said than done) this could be a very emotional and turbulent period for you (remember Neptune will be here for a long time) so make the effort – it can be done!

Let me offer you the following let’s suppose your Natal Moon was in the 5^th sector it would be to your advantage to join an art or writing class, attend a seminar, re-visit a childhood hobby or interest and share with others your passion for something ‘neglected’ since you were ‘young and beautiful.’ If say, your Natal Moon was in the 9^th it would be to your advantage to think about a long distance journey or, consider a university degree (higher education course). The houses of Astrology tell you where you can focus your energy – use this art/science to your advantage and sooner or later your life will fall into place – believe me.

And now for Aries:

I ask you to consider the month before your birthday and take some ‘time out’ to re-charge your batteries for this month is always the most reflective or ‘lowest’ in the year! When you enter a moment or two of meditation take a few moments to consider your income and earnings/finances (Jupiter in Taurus). Consider your relationships and find out if you’re receiving the love you crave or not (Saturn in Libra.)

New Moon in Pisces

New Moon @ 2 degrees Pisces on the 21^st February

Don’t know about you but as we approach every New Moon I clean the house, work in the garden, cut my nails, shave my legs LOL, sort our my correspondence, sort through my files, generally ‘sweep the cobwebs’ out of my life for when we ‘work’ with the Moon it all comes naturally and with a sense of accomplishment. And now we've arrived at the New Moon it's time to think of the future

I was going though all the articles I’ve written over the years and boy was I surprised at what I’ve written and published (not only on Internet but in magazines, newspapers etc) where does the time go I ask myself when I look at my old publicity photographs and newspaper clippings? For this New Moon I’m going to say GOODBYE to the past and set in motion the FUTURE - what about you? Although I’ll wait until the New Cardinal Moon in Aries before I really get my ‘skates on’ for the Autumn/Spring Equinox is the ideal time to ‘start’ any new project, to formulate new ideas and off ‘ones butt’ in general so, if you’re getting all fired up and want to start something NEW the ideal time is around the 22^nd March 2012...

This New Moon in Pisces has a lot to say about the 12^th House of your chart, the position of Neptune and the whereabouts of Pisces (where Neptune has returned for the 1^st time in over 160 years.) In this way you’ll be integrating a new psyche and then, when you visualise in the present you’ll have something else contained within you to either eradicate or integrate...

The Sun and Mercury are in your own sign therefore it’s likely you’ll be talking about YOU and what YOU want! Seriously, this is your birthday month and it is time to look at YOU (from all angles – physically, emotionally, spiritually and sexually) this is the month in the year where if you don’t LIKE yourself you won’t like yourself for the next 12 months!

With Jupiter residing in Taurus and about to ‘climb’ your chart you could say things will be lucky for Aquarians despite all the ‘bad astrological weather’ you’ve been dealing with lately! Pluto’s inhabits your solar 12^th and during this transit, strange forces surface in your emotional life, completely dominating your mood for days, weeks and months on end! During these times, even you don't know what's at the root of it all, all you know is that you're wrapped in a powerful darkness, for which the best remedy seems to be sleep - of all things! Choose your words carefully, avoid being scatty or using too many ‘big’ words - use common sense and phrases everyone can understand – nobody like a “know all.” When signing anything important ‘double check’ ‘triple check’ for this is not a good time to sign contracts or agreements, hidden factors may be in operation, communications in general are confused and misunderstandings very easily occur, this’ll settle down in the meantime forewarned is forearmed. Pisces

We begin the month with you being ‘somewhere else’ than where you’re supposed to be – in another city, state, country or isolated from all things familiar! Your ruler is about to ‘return home’ and no matter what you hear about Neptune in Pisces bringing the ability to ‘transcend’ your physical being and reach your spiritual self - the bottom line: he hasn’t been here for about 165 years and affects the ideals, dreams and religious/philosophical beliefs of each individual. The significant ages are 41 (square) and 82 (opposition)! The point I want to make is this represents the start of a new chapter to your life and where, if you listen to your instincts and let go of past fears and doubts, happiness and contentment will come your way, if you don’t the ditch aka grave you dig will be difficult to get out of when you fall in!

Your ego has to be nurtured and controlled into a new way of thinking, time to see other facets of yourself and like them better than the old you, to let go the past and move on. You’re likely to be unusually idealistic during this period just be sure your ethics are rooted in reality, and not merely a device for escaping them! This is a time when unforeseen events have an embarrassing knack of bringing the truth to light at the most inconvenient moments, (skeletons coming out of cupboards) you’ve been warned. Wherever you’ve been hiding or whatever you’ve been shoving under the carpet comes to light during this month and as already mentioned, Neptune will be here for some time...

Now Uranus is settling into Aries (your solar 2^nd) you'll want more excitement, new faces and new places – whether you get them is another story! On a positive note some nice surprises come your way that liven up your love life or love of life! You’ll have a sparkle in your eyes enjoying life more than usual for over the past few years many friends and acquaintances have come and gone (died or departed!) Keep in mind this sector is your financial sector and Uranus is the planet of the unpredictable/unexpected and could mean an unexpected upward movement or, an unexpected downward trend, which will it be?

The area of your chart ruling intimacy and things sexual (including any loss of libido) will soon be over – you can look forward to a new passion and zest for life and if you have no-one to share this with FIND someone. Another year older - another year deeper in debt! Seriously, when your birthday comes around each year it’s time to think about YOU but taking a look at your SELF (warts and all) is never easy – you’ve heard all the clichés about your sign being the sign of great humanitarian well, it’s time for a little YOU time – don’t you think? Let the world solve its own problems – you have enough on your plate for the moment, don’t you?

If I look at your sign (briefly) from a Numerological Perspective (Aquarius is ruled by Number Four) and add this number to 2012 (Number Five) ending up with a Universal Year Number Nine for all Aquarians – everyone reacting differently yet, what you’ll read should give you a little insight for this is the END of a cycle where many loose ends have to be tied up, many goodbyes have to be said along with much clearing of the decks for a New Universal Year Number One in 2013...

2012 - a Number Five Year - Ruled by Mercury

2012 is a Number Five Year – ruled by Mercury

Wherever Mercury is located your natal chart is where you should focus your thinking for 2012 (just as 2011 was a Number Four Year – ruled by Uranus) take a clue from what I’ve compiled below and focus accordingly – an example I have my natal Mercury in Capricorn therefore what you’ll read for Capricorn is where I’ll be focussing my thinking – what about you? Mercury is all about how you ‘process’ information. To give you a brief example, let’s say your Sun was in the 1^st with Mercury located in the 12^th, this would mean you’re ‘thinking’ tends to take you back into the ‘PAST’, does it? If Mercury is located in your 1^st you should be a ‘NOW’ thinker, are you? If your Mercury is in the 2^nd you’ll tend to be a ‘tomorrow ’type of thinker, are you?

Aspects to look for are: Conjunctions, Oppositions, Squares, and Trines (there are many others but the above are the most important). Look at your chart and discover how easily or how difficult it is in ‘processing’ the information received from your environment. Mercury also ‘’rules’ communication therefore look at your chart and see if ‘communication’ is easy or difficult for you. The conjunction will add influence from the planets involved (easy or difficult) the opposition will tend to bring about a contradiction or two. The Square will make it difficult or present a challenge and trine aspect adding a little ‘colour’ or ‘texture’ to the way you ‘process’ information and to how you communicate in general. Some indicators: Mercury in Aries or conjunct Mars: You are adaptable, clever, inquisitive, eloquent, witty, and perhaps high-strung. Mercury in Taurus or conjunct Venus: You may use your wit, knowledge, and versatility to make money. Mercury in Gemini or in transit conjunct Mercury: You are clever, alert, adaptable, versatile and studious. Mercury in Cancer or conjunct Moon: You tend to be studious, with literary interests. Mercury in Leo or conjunct the Sun: You have a need to prove your intelligence and to use that intelligence in creating things of a mental nature - mental children, as it were. Mercury in Virgo or in transit conjunct Mercury: You have analytical ability with a possible love of computers and electronics. Mercury in Libra or conjunct Venus: Your relationships tend to gravitate towards people who are intelligent, thought provoking, witty and learned. Mercury in Scorpio or conjunct Pluto: You have talent for analysis, research, insight, and tax preparation, insurance and perhaps detective work. Mercury in Sagittarius or conjunct Jupiter: You are flexible, with an adaptable mind that has an interest in perhaps intellectual pursuits, law, religion or philosophy. Mercury in Capricorn or conjunct Saturn: Perhaps you will write or speak as a career. Mercury in Aquarius or conjunct Uranus: You have an original, comprehensive, adaptable and intellectual mind. Mercury in Pisces or conjunct Neptune: You have a perceptive, intuitive and subtle mind with an interest in the metaphysical world…

When transiting Mercury enters a ‘house’ you’ll find yourself thinking or communicating about this sector of your chart and the ‘element’ of the house (fire, earth, air or water) will help to understand your process of thought at this time (study this for the elements are all different). When Mercury goes Retrograde (appearing to go backwards) there might be some frustration or confusion in this area of your chart, however I often see this as an internalisation of thought or thinking (reflection), giving you time to sort out whatever arises or giving you the chance to ‘sort out’ any dilemma. Personally, I love the houses of Astrology and use them to understand what’s going on in my life at any time for when the Sun moves from one house to another you can see your energy shift, same with the Moon (although it’s fleeting) unless it’s your progressed moon (where you see and feel the affairs of the house over a 30 month period!) as 2012 is a Mercury ruled year according to Numerology focus on your natal Mercury and follow the movements of Mercury over the next 12 months watching your thinking change from yin to yang and back to yin – from moving forward to reflecting on where you’ve been (retrograde). Do you have Natal Mercury in Aries? If so, you’re bright and alert with many ideas floating around in your mind just waiting to be used. Mental activity is not something you have to force; nor indeed do you have to strain too hard for inspiration – it comes naturally! Aries is a masculine sign and your thinking is of a masculine (yang) nature – out to get what you want and in 2012 if you’re focussed you’ll get what you want (more so when Mercury returns to Aries!) Try to formulate your thinking in the positive and put good use, not always the case, however! An active mind makes for an active body; hence you’re always on the go, even when you don't have to be - others get tired - you get strong! When confronted by a problem you’ll crack whatever nut needs to be cracked before moving on, a tad stubborn eh! In 2012 don’t assume others understand you and be patient with those not on the same path as you for they too have their place. Transiting Mercury into your 1^st Time to think about you, to communicate your thoughts, ideas, and aspirations to say what you mean and mean what you say. Time to become more organised, more structured and if you find or feel yourself to be in any kind of a rut do something about changing your routines (it doesn’t take much) Just do something differently each and every day that Mercury remains in the 1^st), this is an ideal time to take a short trip, to begin a course of study (developing the intellect) or, get in touch with those whom you’ve neglected (communicating with family, friends, etc). Use the element of your sign to focus your thinking (fire, earth, air or water) as Mercury moves around your chart focus on each element accordingly. In this way you’ll become more focussed. Keeping in mind, Mercury ‘takes on’ the masculine/feminine qualities of each sign along with the element: An ‘Air Mercury’ will think or communicate differently to an ‘Earth Mercury.’

Do you have Natal Mercury in Taurus? If so, you have a strong and capable intellect, and one that takes naturally to the more contemplative, or reflective, way of thinking, don’t you? Taurus is considered a female sign therefore your thinking is likely to be of a yin nature, is it? That is, you mull things over while they gestate in your mind, rather than declare instant opinions on everything. Indeed, you’re the kind of person to pick up in mid-sentence a discussion which might have taken place six months previously - coming in just where you left off with ‘as I was saying'. Things tend to surface at the front of your mind, in other words, rising up from the depths be it a minute or a month after the issue was raised well you know what they say about slow and steady, don’t you? Transiting Mercury into your 2nd There’ll be an increased intellectual appreciation of beauty discovering you’re able to discuss your feelings without feeling embarrassed about them. This is also a good period for any kind of business or financial dealings so focus accordingly; begin a budget for your ideas could soon become real, if you think and act in a positive way. You may find yourself telling someone you love them, or talking to friends about your love life more freely! Experiencing greater emotional feelings; or starting to express yourself in a more emotional or intellectual manner, to the amazement of loved ones and close friends are all indicated. On another level you’ll be in a pleasure-seeking frame of mind. If extravagant there could be a heated argument over your spending on items that you don't really need! On another level there may be difficulties in communicating with the ones you love, or those you usually socialise with. Keeping in mind Mercury takes on the ‘sex’ of this sign along with the ‘element!’ Try not to overindulge, or disappear into the woodwork when someone else voices his or her opinions and if you don’t feel assertive, hold your ground quietly.

Do you have Natal Mercury in Gemini? If so, you have a witty and lively mind, anything that's fun is fun for you. Lightweight entertainment appeals and you often prefer short-term projects which don't demand too much of your time or effort over those that are intellectually taxing. However, you possess an exceptionally versatile and adaptable mind giving you interests in a great variety of issues. Your problem is to sort out which of these you really want to pursue and once your mind is made up, you can devote yourself to the task in hand - to the exclusion of everything else – unless you get bored! Still, many great achievements have been accomplished by those who flutter back and forth between projects! In your case, multi- tasking comes easy, does it? Considered a Masculine/ Yang sign. Transiting Mercury into your 3^rd This period is good for any kind of mental activity; in fact, you’ll amaze yourself with your thoughts, your communication skills and intellectual ability. Those in authority will be able to understand what you say and mean, even taking you into their confidence for your curiosity is aroused enabling you to follow and understand any kind of complex argument presented to you. As typical of the 3^rd house there will be more short distance travelling and if you travel any distance then short in time is what Transiting Mercury is all about in the 3^rd. Negatively: letters or visitors may put you in a bad humour for they may not understand your objectives with any disruption to the easy ebb and flow of ideas resulting in frustration, nervousness and draining your vitality. Your usual good judgement may be lacking so try to find yourself a quiet place to work, away from any interruptions, and concentrate on those tasks that can be done. Don't beat your head against a brick wall; it's a passing phase, and things will soon be flowing again. More positively: Mental activities rule this period of time, make plans, get out and learn new subjects; even make trips, either long or short distances. Similarly, finer details appeals because of their analytical value: you like to take ideas apart piece by piece and lay them all out in order to put them back together again, thus acquiring a working knowledge of the issue at hand, don’t you? Being mentally agile and quick you adapt to situations very easily, even if they bug the hell out of you yet this position for Mercury is considered female/yin/mutable earth! At times crave isolation, just to be alone with yourself and your thoughts, almost essential for you in order to maintain a clear view of things yet: Transiting Mercury into the 6^th a possible love/hate relationship with computers and electronics! Becoming overly concerned with details, your nerves become frayed causing health problems, reflecting wrong thinking and perhaps worry! You may be restless with a desire for frequent job changes/variety, think everything through in ‘detail.’ Issues of health and diet interest you. With anything problematic, you weigh up the pros and cons before you come to any decision on how to handle the issue, actually, this weighing process can - and sometimes does - prevent you from taking a decisive action, becoming so involved considering the merits and faults of your problem that you can't decide quite what you’re dealing with and how to tackle it! On other occasions, you’re perhaps not considerate enough adopting a 'laissez faire', or indifferent attitude - hoping things will sort themselves out without any real help from you! It all depends on which direction the mental scales tip at the time and considered a yang, masculine, cardinal air sign! Transiting Mercury into your 7^th: Able to chat about your feelings more openly and honestly without feeling embarrassed about them or, telling someone you love them, even talking to friends about your love life more freely. A personal observation: Mercury is often associated as being an asexual planet neither male or female yet, the sign it’s in (male or female) is where it’ll express its energy and by conjunction it’ll take on the ‘sexuality’ of the planet involved I.E. Mercury conjunct Jupiter (a male planet) Mercury will express itself in a Masculine manner – think this through for I’ve noticed it more than once and found it very reliable. “Are you still wondering if I’m worth a cup of coffee or something more rewarding? Do you have your natal Mercury in Scorpio? If so, you have the mental power to sustain any goal for as long as you like for you remain true to any idea once it becomes fixed in your mind. Full Moon in Taurus @ 18 degrees Taurus

"To be honest I’m experiencing transiting Pluto on my natal Mercury and feel as if I’m in a communications ‘black hole.’ When Pluto hit my Mercury last December I became obsessive/compulsive with the creation of E-books, print books, electronic books – you name it I was obsessed by it – learning a great deal in the process. Pluto moved on and began his retrograde motion returning to hit my Natal Mercury in July/August continuing to retrograde until September then turning around and started to move direct – hitting my Natal Mercury (@ 5 degrees Capricorn) remaining there until 21^st November."

I’ve mentioned the above so you can look at your own chart and see what or who is punching you around at this time (or is it just me?) everything else is looking okay (a blessing) so all I can do is bunker down and see what transpires when Pluto digs deep into my psyche and pulls out whatever ‘gold’ or ‘crap’ he missed the first couple of times let’s hope it’s the gold he brings to the surface for I’ve had enough ‘shit’ these past few years…

Forget about me, all you Capricorns born between the start of Capricorn and the 30^th December of any year have enjoyed, endured, experienced and tolerated Pluto hitting your Sun since November 2008. I don’t like saying this but think Tiger Woods – born on the 30^th December 1975…

Interestingly this Full Moon in Taurus with the Sun in Scorpio is a ‘tug of war’ between the material and spiritual, between the sensual (Taurus) and sexual (Scorpio) between what I have (Taurus) and don’t have (Scorpio). As a Sagittarian this ‘tug of war’ is taking place in my 6^th and 12^th (my house cusp key is 16) one of these houses is a terminal one (12^th) FYI: The ‘terminal houses are the 4^th 8^th and 12^th where something’s gotta give and no matter which system is your favourite; whenever there’s a ‘tug of war’ involving a terminal house – something’s gotta give. Depending on your actual date in the month will determine if your personal tug of war is being brought to light (Full Moon) or not. Aries have the Sun in the 8^th (terminal) Taurus have the Full Moon (the struggle mentioned above between your sensual and sexual selves) Gemini have the terminal 12^th to contend with – remembering it’ll be your house cusp key that’ll determine if you personally are being affected – check it out (details are contained in my book) Cancerians won’t be affected by this ‘tug of war’ as personally as some. Leo’s have the terminal 4^th to contend with! Virgo, you won’t be affected as much, yet – Mars is coming to stay for up to six months! Libra – you have the terminal 8^thto deal with! Scorpio – the tug of war of what you have and what you lack is what this Full Moon is all about! I’ve mentioned Sagittarius, Capricorn’s don’t need to worry as much (you’ve got Pluto lurking in the background – enough said) Aquarians have the terminal 4^th on the agenda and Pisces can breathe a sigh of relief!

As I mentioned above about my ‘black hole’ it’ll be over by the 21^st November so I’ll be taking it easy until then – leaving the phone off the hook if necessary, taking some time out for ME and allowing Pluto to ‘raise from the dead’ whatever ashes he can find. I won’t babble on for this Full Moon will come and go as they all do throwing light onto areas of life needing attention – BTW – if you’re lacking love, seeking love, desiring love or just want to get laid – this is the best Moon of all to find out “ which is which and what is what…”

Welcome to the New Scorpio Moon

Hi folks what’s happening? If like the rest of us you’re in a strange ‘head space’ for the Sun has moved into Scorpio - symbolically the 8^th house of the natural chart so let’s explore some of the keywords of the 8^th and apply them to your personal house – see further down. During this month you’ll feel strong forces at work, forces of will, power, transformation, and regeneration. These forces might manifest as a desire to build or create something new or, to make ‘across-the-board’ changes to your life just realise you can't control anyone or anything but YOU so use this time learning greater self-control, channelling your energy and potential hostility into something creative, like a favourite hobby or activity! Here’s the secret of this Scorpio New Moon: Radical and fundamental changes are indicated (on the surface or taking place in depth of your being!) There are two certainties in life: death and taxes - expect to be confronted with either during this transit in the meantime discover your resilience, inner fortitude and strength for this transit can bring out the best or worst in you. ‘Seeds’ can be planted now – material, spiritual, metaphysical and literal (any time spent in the garden will prove rewarding) “what you sow – you grow.”

I know it’s heavy going for making changes to oneself is never easy, going on a diet, giving away the alcohol, exercising the body, giving up cigarettes, leaving a job or, letting go a way of life – something ‘dies’ in your life this month – what will it be I wonder? Seriously, better to make change than have change forced upon you, remembering I’m talking of some fundamental shift taking place, not whether you should change shops for your groceries! “Take a few moments today or tonight and see where YOU can alter your life in some way.”

Pay attention to your character because it becomes your destiny.

There was a lot of interest – I thought I’d share it with you for there’s an element of truth in what’s written - I’ve always believed Character is Destiny. However, listen to comedian Catherine Tate’s character ‘Old Gran.’ Catherine Tate is a very funny lady with numerous characters in her repertoire – check them out on YouTube.

Let’s think about this for a moment for if we can have multiple characters we can have multiple destinies! Seek another ‘character’ within and change your destiny, this New Moon should see us all entering the depths of our being asking some serious questions about where we’ve been, what we’ve done and what we can do about creating something better! Keeping in mind “what’s meant for us – won’t go past us.” “You cannot have that which is not contained within you” – no matter how much pay homage to the Universe! Let’s look within and find another ‘character’ and change our destiny! (Keeping foremost in your mind the root meaning of destiny is destination!)

For your information this New Moon in Scorpio takes place at 3 degrees – knowing your House Cusp Key should tell you where to focus your thinking or listen to what you hear! You don’t need me to list where the planets are located, see my website – suffice to say I have Pluto (the ruler of Scorpio) conjunct my Natal Mercury @ 5 degrees Capricorn and wondering how this is going to manifest – any suggestions, clues or observations. Mars will enter Virgo on the 11^th November and will remain there for about 6 months! Look to where Virgo is located on your chart – this is where there’ll be increased activity as ‘he’ torments the living daylights of anything contained in this house! I’m looking forward to his presence in my solar 10^th – what about you?

Talking about Mars tormenting anything within a house – let’s explore this a little further – remembering my latest book: Solar/Lunar Astrology contains some of these concepts all you Virgo’s out there should prepare for his entering your 1^st (he’s already in your 12^th!)

Look at your chart and see where the planets are placed, better still draw the wheel to the left and place the planets where they were at your day of birth – creating a snapshot of the moment in time you entered this plane of consciousness, this dimension of reality, this creation of yours, this moment of awareness and earthly perception (yada yada) will I let Catherine Tate make her famous comment? Nah; once is enough for the moment.

Many have asked me why I concentrate on the houses and my reply is always the same – if you cannot understand the houses you’ll never understand Astrology and like physical houses some are mansions, some are derelict, some with basements, others with attics – catching my drift? There are many layers to each house, something like the many sub-contractors used in the building a new home and each with their own personality imbued in their work – happy builders mean happy homes – unhappy builders mean unhappy homes – same with Astrological Houses – the planets contained within are stimulated once a month by the Moon, once a year by the Sun and ‘tormented’ by other planets for various time periods – some at length some very briefly! When we come to the end of 2011 we’ll have ‘everything’ in direct motion – yippee! Before then we have brief Mercury retrograde (in Sagittarius) from the 24^th November until 14^th December so if thinking of buying a new computer, iPod, iPad, etc better to do so before or after these dates!

I’ve given you lots to think about this New Moon and wish you well in your search for another ‘character’ within and change your destiny/destination. I’ll be looking for mine - for this old fart needs a makeover LOL

Full Moon @ 19 degrees Aries

Ever felt you’re going around and around in circles, forever ascending and descending? (See picture) Well, I have good news for you this month – if you’ll take a moment to think about this Aries – Libra combination (we have it every year so it’s not new) what’s significant about this Solar/Lunar moment is we have Saturn looking over our shoulders Thursday and Friday of this week when he’s conjunct the Sun in Libra – allow me to explain.

Aussie singing group ‘The Seekers’ had a song a few years ago where the words went something like this: “I am – we are” you know the rest. Well, in Astrological parlance Aries will ask: “Who am I?” and Libra will ask: “Who are we?” we have balancing act, similar to being on a see-saw. Look at your chart and see which houses are playing out this balancing act, remembering the house cusp key is number 19. For Aries it’s your 1^s^t and 7^th Taurus it’s your 12^t^h or 6^th Gemini your 11^t^h or 5^th Cancer it’s your 10^t^h or 4^th Leo your 9^th or 3^rd, Virgo your 8^th or 2^nd. For all you Libran’s it’s your 7^th and 1^st that’s being activated. House Numbers - Their Hidden Meaning

As a Numerologist I've been asked numerous times by friends, students, clients, listener’s to my radio appearances and by those moving from one residence to another what their house number means. Moving house can be a very traumatic experience or, a very liberating one, and numbers offer a clue as to whether you've made the right choice or the wrong one! Now, after 30 years working with Numerology I want to share some of this knowledge with you and ask you to reduce your house number to a single digit i.e.: 19 would become 10 then become 1 (1+9=10, 1+0 = 1) and see what Numerology has to offer you regarding the place you call home.

One proviso: If living in a flat or unit consider this: The number affects you and those who live with you and the number of the block affects everyone in the building including you! Don't add all the numbers of your address (i.e.: 3/123) and reduce them to a single digit consider what I've said above and piece the information together like a jigsaw puzzle and you'll come to understand more about where you live than you've ever imagined for believe it or not the place you live or about to move into has chosen you! If you follow this simple instruction we'll be on the 'same page.'

House Number One: This number usually means having to contend with many family responsibilities and not always happy ones! You'll often feel alone whilst living here so make sure you have interesting hobbies to occupy your mind. This house number attracts Leos and is linked to the Sun in Astrology and all things to do with 5th house affairs.

House Number Two: Welfare programs, social work and community involvement will demand a lot of your time. Cancerian's are drawn to this number as are those with a connection with Scotland! Number 2 is linked to the Moon in Astrology and all matters to do with the 4th sector of your Astrological Chart.

House Number Three: Travel and adventure are the keywords for this number. Ambitious people are drawn here as well as people who take risks, gamblers in particular. Sagittarians and pets are attracted to this address as well as those connected to the legal profession, connected to the planet Jupiter and the 9th house in Astrology.

House Number Four: This is the most unpredictable of all the house numbers with one crisis after another. Expect your life to move in a completely different direction from what you had in mind if moving in here! House Number Six: You'd better have a green thumb as this number demands greenery! When you move into this address unpack everything you own for you're going to be here for a long time (well it'll feel like that) for this is a number of stability. Linked to the planet Venus in Astrology with Taurean's and Libran's attracted to this number, linked with the 2nd and 7th sector of the zodiac.

House Number Seven: A strange number which may even be a bit spooky, even to being actually haunted by the memories of the previous occupants! Check the water table and the area for flooding, as well as the pipes for leaks. Piscean's are drawn and benefit from living at this address, linked to the planet Neptune and associated with the 12th sector of the zodiac.

House Number Eight: Older people live here and even if you're young you'll be or become mature in your thinking. Clocks are often a hobby of those who live here and time will fascinate you even to the concept of reincarnation! Check the foundations of this house there's usually a few hidden problems that'll need your attention or, save you money before you purchase of move in. Capricorn's will find this a lucky address and linked to the planet Saturn along with 10th house of the zodiac.

House Number Nine: This is the number of the 'battler.' Don't invite the family around for too many gatherings; you'll end up having the usual arguments! Problems with neighbours also are likely! Welcome to this New Moon and what it could mean for you and yours. The Astro Data for Tuesday 27^th is Sun @ 4 degrees Libra, Moon @ 4 degrees Libra; Mercury @ 2 degrees Libra (catching up with the Sun on Thurs @ 6 degrees) and Venus @ 15 degrees Libra. Mars @ 5 degrees Leo and with Jupiter @9 degrees Taurus and still travelling ‘backwards,’ Saturn @18 degrees Libra with Uranus @ 2 degrees Aries (retrograde) Neptune @ 26 degrees Aquarius (retro) and Pluto moving forward @ 4 degrees Capricorn. All signs in bold = Cardinal Signs. All signs in italic = Fixed Signs. What does all this mean? The element AIR is strong (nothing in WATER) Fire and Earth are represented yet, what does it all mean? Consider this: The New Moon is the darkest night – when we plant seeds in the soil (total darkness) giving them the right nourishment they’ll sprout accordingly – some faster than others for an acorn won’t sprout at the same speed as a tomato seed! “When setting goals or planting seeds start small and you’ll soon see results” when you see the outcome of your efforts you’ll gain confidence in planting bigger, tougher and longer lasting seeds. Daily seeds/goals are best to begin with – set aside a few moments over breakfast, planning to accomplish something before the end of the day – “and I don’t mean making the bed or doing the dishes!” Set yourself a task and bring about its conclusion before you retire for the evening, in doing this on a daily basis you’ll amaze yourself as to what you can achieve – begin with this New Moon taking advantage of all this Cardinal Energy – believe me it works.

At the New Moon the Moon represents your emotional response to the moment; it’ll also increase/decrease your vitality! For example when the Moon conjuncts Mercury you’ll tend to think 'in pictures' meaning it’s time visualise what you want from the year ahead. Moon is in the 1^st will bring new and special experiences increasing not only the energetic side of your nature but will advance your interests in all things, making you more inquisitive and questioning. Sun entering Libra = a change in the season = an Equinox – a time to state your intentions until the next Equinox (Capricorn) Here’s a suggestion- find yourself a nice pot, dish, urn – whatever. Write down on individual pieces of paper all your mistakes, misfortunes, upsets, mishaps, misadventures since the last Equinox (Cancer) placing in your dish on by one (remember to only write the negatives of the past few months) then, after a moment’s reflection (maybe sharing with a friend or two) set fire to your pieces of paper and watch them burn – releasing all to the Universe.

"Mars has left the building"

Today (Monday 19^th Sept) Mars leaves Cancer where he’s not been ‘happy chappie’ for the past few weeks (since the beginning of August) Most Astrologers consider Mars to be in its FALL when he transits this sign, the sign linked to the family, house and home, roots and foundations et all – how many times over the past few weeks, have you felt like packing your bags and leaving?

Whilst Mars has been in the house of his FALL mortgages, rents, credit card repayments, insurances, repair bills have been all been under pressure – you know what I mean, don’t you .

Writing your first book or blog

Ever wanted to write a book, blog or e-book?

How often have you heard yourself (and others) say: "I'd like to write a book”? Everyone has the ability, all you need is the ideas, the inspiration, plus the stamina to sit down and write every moment you can until your book is a reality. Never think for a moment it will all just fall into place. Someone once said about writing: “its 10% inspiration 90% perspiration "

Did you know that Astrology can offer insight into what you could write about? All you need to know is your Sun Sign and read is written below to find the areas of inspiration or areas of interest (least resistance) as indicated by your Astrological Sign.

Aries: You are known for starting a project but can be hopeless in seeing it through. You'll have bright ideas about everything but lack the persistence and patience for the long hard labour of giving birth to your subject. Writing is like having a baby, once the idea is conceived there are many months (sometimes years) before you giving birth to your brainchild. Along the way, there are many moments where you might abort your baby therefore, short stories are probably best for the Aries writer. News items, sport stories, adventures stories, short punchy' columns, you need feedback on your work if you're to continue for any length of time, if writing a book and receive an advance, give yourself a reasonable deadline for delivery of your manuscript otherwise you'll end up paying back any monies advanced to you.

Taurus: If you have the urge to write you should seriously think about attending a writing class, mixing with others who are learning the same skills as yourself. Although Taurus is not one of the `natural' signs for writing, quite a few Taureans have made a lot of money from their efforts, for the have the persistence and perseverance to finish what they begin. The theatre will intrigue, in fact, many playwrights and dramatists are born in Taurus, so think about writing a short play. Possessing an inherent sense of timing you should consider writing musicals. When you receive one rejection note after another never give up, keep plodding on and success will be yours. When the money rolls in there's no one better at showing off their new - found wealth than a Taurus. Once they have made their mark (and their money) they should seriously think about sponsoring any up and coming writers.

Gemini: If there's natural sign for writing then Gemini must take full honours. More writers are born in the sign of Mercury than you know. Factual articles are your strongest point, journalism dailies, weeklies, periodicals. If you are just starting out you should compile a few short stories and send them off to the features editor of your favourite magazine. Gossip columnists, royal watchers, movie critics are usually born with the planet Mercury strong in their chart. Once you've gotten into the routine of writing some -thing every day you'll soon find small payments trickle in, and one day, who knows, that large sum you dream about might just come your way. Take another tip from Astrology; always keep a copy of what you write as there is a tendency for Gemini's to lose things in the post.

Cancer: Best sellers are often written by those born in the sign of the Moon. You have a flair for knowing what the public wants so write about whatever you feel. You have an instinct for the historical (or, is that hysterical?) romantic type of novel. Family saga's, stories of patriotism. You have a fertile imagination so let it take you where it will. If you're ever commissioned to write you should jump at the chance for you are fantastic when it comes to serials, keeping everyone on the edge of their seat each week wondering how the hero or heroine will manage to escape the plots you weave for them. Write for women’s maga-zines and you'll soon find the dollars rolling in. When the money come your way make sure you either pay off the mortgage or purchase property with any extra cash that comes from your writing.

Leo: Children's books will appeal (one of the hardest markets). Write about what you know, rely on your own memory and experience rather than on your imagination. Like Taureans you have a flair for the theatre and the bigger the production the better, think about writing a play. During life, you are bound to meet many interesting people (celebrities and such like) keep a diary of your encounters so that you can write about them later. Leo's love to gossip or spilling the beans! Another side of the coin is your ability to understand money that's r ight, money. Always giving advice as to what others can do with their money, the interest they can earn, how to speculate, to accumulate, etc. Why not write a financial column?

Virgo: Write about your hobbies for you have a style which others can understand. Handbooks, how - to books, books on diet and exercise and are best written by Virgo's. Books on health and hygiene will appeal. If you ever went into the field of journalism you would be good at reporting on foreign affairs, civil wars, political coup - d’états, etc. Proof readers, sub-editors, all critics come under the domain of Virgo. If you really want to involve yourself in writing you should approach publishing houses, newspaper editors, specialist magazines for a job. If your hobby or profession is in the medical field you should consider writing booklets on emotional and physical well being.

Libra: Forget about the daily chore of writing on your own for you need a partner, someone to push you a little harder than you push yourself. I won't say you are lazy, it's just that you complain of having a writer’s `block' more than any other sign, preferring to be out socialising than sitting down and writing your masterpiece. You have a flair for a good love story and even if it scares you, you are good at writing horror stories as well. Write about animals and you'll soon find yourself coming up with a few good plots. If you ever find your lucky book (and who said it had anything to do with luck!) to be published you may even find your work being made into a movie! If this happens, find yourself a good agent, accountant, manager, and lawyer...

Scorpio: Being a serious sort you'll put all you can into your subject matter, researching your story until you have all the facts `just right'. Your style must be incisive and to the point. Books being turned into mini - series, books turned into movies and sold internationally are all within the realms of possibility for Piscean writers who come up with a good yarn.

When you know your date, month, year, time and place of birth you can construct an Ascendant Chart where the 1^st house is referred to as your rising sign. Here’s a brief description:

Ascendant in Aries: You have a powerful sense of individuality and will fear becoming one of the crowds tending to forge your own personal path through life. Success will be measured according to how true you remain to your own ideals. Being naturally impatient, you’re quick to anger and tend to be outspoken regardless of possible consequences. This unapologetic and fearless characteristic ensures there’ll be many occasions when you’ll be accused of being nothing but a downright troublemaker!

Ascendant in Taurus: Being single-minded allows you to keep your eye on your goal. You’ll stand your ground until your determination brings you the desired result, setting the example by your actions. Financially, you maintain an eye on the future, rather than live for the moment. Too often you’ve seen your friends fall by the wayside and this has confirmed your view that money is for saving rather than for spending.
