New Moon in Aries - Don't miss this opportunity

Welcome to the New Moon @ 20 degrees Aries – Wednesday 10^th April

What did you set out to achieve last month? Have you seen any results? Are you progressing or, standing still? Working with your Moon is one of the easiest ways to bring about the success (whatever your definition) you seek. You can download a workbook on Working with your Moon from here (only $4.95) but you’ll be wasting your money if you don’t apply the information so let’s begin our journey towards “success not just survival.”

At the New Moon, the Sun and Moon Sun are in alignment - a union of the creative potential (Sun) and unconscious receptivity (Moon.) This is the time of conception, the ‘egg’ is ready and waiting for impregnation, there’s a feeling of excitement, something’s in the air but no definite expectation of what is to come. There’s passion, a pioneering quality and innocence to any New Moon phase, more so this Aries Moon. At any New Moon there’s an inner stirring or a new interest, however, the potential for something ‘new’ can be hindered or damaged if you’re unwilling to be open and alert to what’s about to give birth. It’s time to be spontaneous, projecting with passion and courage. The question to ask yourself is – “what do I desire? “

Now, create a visual representation you can focus on to achieve this desire (start small and work your way upwards) like most people you’ll think of a million things you desire so narrow them down to one or two and focus on something you can achieve. The opportunity will present itself in a couple of days when some ‘discomfort’ (known as a semi-sextile) forces you to get down to the business of change – this is where you’ll either make a start or procrastinate. Believe me, when I started working with my Moon (all those years ago) it becomes easier and easier to ‘let go’ and move on. I’ve conducted workshops on this technique where many have walked away excited and enthusiastic about change but after a few days “lost interest” when the desired results were not instantaneously achieved [If something’s worth having – its worth working for, no exceptions]...

During what is called the Crescent Phase you can become you own stumbling block for this phase is where many dreams become buried in self doubt for this phase is about breaking through the inertia of old habits and ideas, preventing us from moving forward into the 1st Quarter Phase where we find the courage to take action that builds a better future. This process is universal and never changes however, knowing which house the moon is in gives a clue to where you should focus your energy so, find the house where Aries is in your chart and you’ll immediately know where to begin (remembering this New Moon is 20 degrees so check your house cusp key.)

As per many requests, I’ll be conducting a Moon Workshop in the near future where you’ll learn the skills and techniques to bring about what it is you seek from your life. Forget the dream books, forget the explanations. Your Astrological Sign gives a clue to the dreams you dream. Here are a few...

Aries: You'll dream of adventure, seeing yourself conquering all others. You'll dream of passionate love scenes. Some of you will dream of driving fast cars or even faster speedboats, often resulting in crash scenes (which awake you in fright).

Taurus: Dreams involving food are common, finding yourself in an expensive restaurant being wined and dined in decadent luxury (it’s a shame you have to wake up). Dreams where money is lost or stolen is common as is winning money in a lottery or casino.

Gemini: Discovering yourself naked in a public place is a common dream for Gemini's. Dreams involving trains, planes, ships are also likely, as is floating in a balloon. Dreaming of being chased by an admirer or attacker is another Geminian dream.

Cancer: Finding yourself in a strange house, where you're climbing on descending endless flights of stairs. Dreams of pregnancy or giving birth are common. Nightmares and dreams which worry you in the morning often affect Cancerians depending on whether the Moon is New or Full.

Leo: Dreaming of being on stage entertaining a large audience is a typical Leo dream. Dreams of childhood and children are common Checking into an hotel for a secret encounter is another Leo dream, creating guilt in real life if happily married.

Virgo: Dreams involving dungeons and dragons, masters and slaves, creepy crawlies, ugly people, are all dreams common to those born in the sign Virgo. Dreams where you work, work, work, waking up in the morning absolutely exhausted. You'll dream of illness more than most.

Libra: Cartoon type dreams, dreams involving space travel, dreams where you are the hero or heroine. There's always someone else in the dream of a Libran, someone you cannot quite recognise. Aquarius: Your dreams are erratic, some seem to last all night long, others happen in a moment. Dreams of war (where you are the only survivor) or, discovering yourself all alone on another planet Relationships in dreams are always perfect and under your control, in real life they're often complicated and never go the way you expect them to.

Pisces: Your dreams are necessary for your everyday survival Dreaming of yourself being born is common as is dreaming of your own death! Weekly Horoscopes from Monday April 1st

Aries: Venus is in your sign for a few more days therefore it’s time to spoil your Self in some way. It’s time to think seriously about your values, to review the past year and see where you’ve increased or decreased your sense of ‘worth.’ Depending on what natal planets you have in the 1^st, look for conjunctions, for Venus will either encourage you to try harder or she’ll make you lazy in outlook! Remember ‘seeds’ are being planted for the year ahead when any planet transits your Solar 1^st house. To give you an example: Venus conjunct your natal Venus could mean the beginning of a love affair! Parties, good friends and happy times are on the agenda, enjoy. This is a time to enjoy YOU and stop worrying about other people! Avoid extravagance and think seriously about preparing a ‘budget’ for the year ahead.

Taurus: Your ruler Venus, is transiting your Solar 12^th for a few more days and soon to come ‘home’ in the meantime you're in a dream world so wait until this passes to pass judgement, or to make real decisions, for the moment, try to enjoy anything of beauty, travel, or listening to other's secrets. Be careful of financial or romantic deception for this transit is notorious for bringing out of the closet that secret admirer! (Sep 3rd - Sep 13th) for you there is nothing better than a 'good book'. "Isn't that the truth?" When young and others were experimenting with their sexuality you were too busy planning ahead. Your sex life improves with maturity but by then it might just be "too late" (with the spirit willing but the body weak!)

(Sep 14th - Sep 23rd) you are realistic in your approach to sexual matters and somewhat fastidious in your personal habits. Your underlying common sense and awareness of material values influences your choice of partner. The old adage; “It’s just as easy to fall in love with a rich person as it is with a poor person" could strike you as being quite correct.

Libra: (Sep 24th - Oct 2nd) you like sex to be refined, exotic even experimental, but never crass or crude. Possessing the Libran trait of elegance, comfort and luxury your sex life must include some glamour. Although having a strong sex drive you are turned off by anything which is 'humdrum'.

(Oct 13th - Oct 23rd) prone to sexual fantasies you might just think and talk about sex more than actually doing it. The anticipation of love-making probably excites you more than the actuality. Why not come out of your head and get into your heart?

Scorpio: (Oct 24th - Nov 2nd) you possess a strong sexual awareness plus a strong sex drive however; this does not necessarily mean a great deal of sexual activity. No matter what you say, emotional satisfaction is a major influence in your relationships and if missing, frustration leading to neurosis is usually the result.

(Nov 3rd - Nov 13th) Imagination and fantasy play a big part in your approach towards sexual dalliance. You have the same basic sexual interest as other Scorpio's yet, often fall in love with the type who holds you back from other areas of interest (a sexually demanding partner perhaps?)

(Jan 1st - Jan 10th) you are an incurable romantic and 'carry a torch' for your first love. There is another side to your nature which will plot and plan to get what who or what you want and when you do, you never let go.

(Jan 11th - Jan 20th) Sex is important to you but not so important that you'd risk losing other things you want because of it. Although your sex drive is strong you are unlikely to act impulsively or rashly. Also, you might even use sex as an asset in getting ahead in life.

Aquarius: (Jan 21st - Jan 30th) from intense activity to lack of interest, that's you, with your sex life being somewhat erratic. Being highly strung and unusually attractive you may attract those who are insecure or overly permissive.

Pendulum Dowsing - Fact or Fiction?

Pendulum Dowsing

Would you like to find lost objects, answer puzzling questions find your lucky numbers? I bet you would. Have you ever seen anyone use a 'forked twig' (called dowsing) to locate underground water? Even if you haven't seen this in real life you must've seen it in the movies. How come some people can find water and others cannot? Is it something magical or is it something inherent in everyone? What is dowsing? Well, it's a technique where the psychic or sensitive faculty of the brain can be used to acquire information not normally registered by the everyday / conscious mind. In finding water a forked twig is used, held outward when the Dowser finds the underground flow the rod begins to jerk (some - times violently) downward. The water does not have to flow, it can be still. I'm not going into detail about the forked twig but will explain another, even simpler, method of Dowsing (or divining) The Pendulum. In making your own Pendulum all you need is a length of cotton (or string) and a small weight. Your weight can be glass, your favourite crystal, metal, wood, or plastic, anything small enough to carry around with you. Your length of cotton should be about 30cm. Having made your Pendulum you should hold it (between thumb and forefinger) in the opposite hand to your writing hand.

Step One: First of all you need to establish a code for yes or no. Most people find a clockwise motion means yes and an anti - clockwise motion to mean no. A few experiments will soon reveal YOUR code. Sometimes a side - to - side or backwards and forwards motion occurs. Again, a little experimenting will let you know which means yes and which means no. Try this simple (but effective) experiment: Fill a dish with water, hold your Pendulum over the dish, relax your mind as best you can and ask the question: "Does the dish contain water?" You know it does, all you're attempting to find out is the motion your Pendulum is going to take for a 'yes' answer. Try again with an empty dish noticing the direction your Pendulum is taking.

Experiment like this for a few days until you feel comfortable holding your Pendulum and discovering which direction means 'yes' or 'no.' When the Pendulum moves it is NOT moving of its own accord but is subconsciously controlled by subtle muscle movements; your muscle movements. Remembering at all times it is NOT the Pendulum, which is answering the questions; it is the psychic faculty of your own mind. In the beginning people tend to think that some mysterious force is at work and become all consumed with this magical force. Rest assured this is not so, it's all happening from within you, controlled by YOU.

Step Two: After you've experimented for a time it's only fair, at this stage, to mention what's going on. As with all other psychic techniques, from Tarot cards, Clairvoyance, to ESP, dowsing can provide information about past, present, and future. All you need to know are a few simple steps. At all times, whenever you're experimenting with the Pendulum, keep an open mind and restrict your trials to 20-30 minutes every second or third day. Don't fall into the trap of asking your Pendulum everyday questions like "should I take the washing in?"

Step Three: Let's suppose you were thinking about changing your job or asking for a raise, maybe even moving house. You should sit in your favourite chair, relaxing your mind. Write down your question on a piece of paper then hold your Pendulum above your writing pad. In a short time you'll notice the Pendulum move and according to its direction you would take you answer from there. Let's assume you received a YES answer to whether you should change jobs. You can now develop your answer by asking another question: When? You should write down a list of options, i.e. next week, next month, 6-8 weeks, etc. Hold your Pendulum over each option and you should receive your answer accordingly.

You can use this technique for a wide variety of questions, keeping an open mind as to the answers received. Another question might be: What are my lucky numbers? You would then write out a list from 1-100 and using your Pendulum hold it over each number in turn asking yes or no. You should then write down all the numbers considered lucky. You might want to use these numbers the next time you try the Lotto, Keno, Pools, etc. For those who are really interested in using the Pendulum for gambling you can pick horses in any race using the above method. Keeping in mind at all times, the information is coming from within you and not from anywhere else, if you do manage to pick a few winners or, win a few jackpots it's only because the information was there all the time.

Step Four: Apart from the fun you can have with Step three there's another useful and dramatic demonstration of Pendulum Dowsing which I would like to share with you, the finding of missing objects. As an experiment ask someone to hide something from you and then ask your Pendulum a series of questions. You should be able to locate the hidden object. Let's say your friend hid your wedding ring in a jar in the kitchen. You would begin your series of questions by asking if it were in the house, living room, hallway, etc. Once you've located the room then it's only a matter of finding out whether it is high or low. Maybe even going into the room and letting the Pendulum guide you (as you get closer it should spin wildly). You might not be successful on your first few attempts but if you persevere you'll soon become more and more accurate.

Step Five: When planning your holidays (once you've picked a few winners) you should write out a list of the places you would like to visit and ask the Pendulum which one is favourable and plan accordingly. Even if you find yourself lost (and you've become proficient in using your Pendulum) you can ask for directions, with or without a map! Here are a few other suggestions. Ask simple questions to begin with (so that you can check the answers immediately), questions such as: Is there any mail in the mailbox? Have someone hide something and holding your Pendulum try to locate it. Ask someone to place a coin in one of three upturned cups and see if you can locate the coin. Once again I repeat; the Pendulum moves because YOU make it move, the answers received are coming from within YOU and nowhere else.

With this Full Moon in Aries remember the following: The only person limiting you is YOU so let’s look at your willpower - Don't confuse willpower with self-denial, willpower becomes dynamic when applied to positive, uplifting purposes. The positive use of willpower encourages us to overcome inertia and to focus on the future so when the going gets tough, visualise yourself busily engaged in your project, imagine it already exists and it will. Here's an affirmation you can use to get you started: “From today I'll begin to form new habits instead of being a slave to old ones."

It’s all very well talking about our Conscious Mind and what it’s capable of achieving but there’s something else I want to bring to your attention at this point – the missing link or, as I call it - the elusive element! It’s all very well understanding our thinking but what kind of thoughts do you ‘generate’ on a daily basis? Are your thoughts optimistic or pessimistic, logical or illogical, practical or impractical? Allow me to offer the following: Are you an Earth sort of human being, a Fire person, an Air or Water individual? In Jungian terms, Fire = Intuition: Earth = Sensation: Air = Thinking Water = Feeling.

Fire Signs are Aries, Leo and Sagittarius. Earth Signs are Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn. Air Signs are Gemini, Libra and Aquarius. Water Signs are Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces. Believe or not, we all think differently, we all process information differently, some are practical and conservative others logical and rational. Predicting the Future with Numerology

Yearly Cycles:

Before I introduce the system I’ve been using for over 30 years I want to jog your memory about the cycles we are all familiar with – the night and day cycles, the cycle of the seasons – spring, summer, autumn and winter. The seven (7) year physical cycle where the cells of the body either regenerate or die (a few more grey hairs a few more wrinkles) giving us a different body (by cell structure) every seven years! 7th birthday, 14th, 21st, 28th, 35th, 42nd, 49th, 56th, 63rd, and so on The emotional nine (9) year cycle where we either grow and mature to a higher level of emotional experiences or, repeat the same ol’ same ol’ appearing on our 9th 18th, 27th, 36th, 45th, 54th 63rd birthdays and so on take note of the physical and emotional cycles coming together at age 63!

Numerological Yearly Cycles: How to find them and what they represent is a lot easier than you imagine if you follow certain rules (this'll also allow to follow my philosophy of stating the year begins on your birthday and not January 1st, unless you were born on the 1st January that is).

Simply add your BIRTH NUMBER to the ASTROLOGICAL NUMBER (below) to ANY YEAR and you'll come to 'know' the CURRENT or UPCOMING CYCLE.

The Astrological Numbers are:
Aries = 9 Taurus= 6 Gemini= 5 Cancer=2 Leo=1 Virgo= 5
Libra=6 Scorpio = 0 Sagittarius – 3 Capricorn =8 Aquarius = 4 Pisces = 7

The easiest way is to give you an example: My Birth Number is Nine (Being born on the 9th) I then add this number to my Astrological Number three (being a Sagittarian) Adding these two numbers to 2012 (the year I’m enquiring about) 9+3+2012 = 17 =8. In 2012 I’ll be in a Numerological Number Eight Cycle (but not until my birthday on the 9th December) until then I’ll be in a year Number Seven. However, once an interest in nutrition is established the Air signs will go to all sorts of trouble to eat the right food. Interestingly, Librans and Aquarians often have no objection to eating the same food for days on end whereas Geminis demand variety.

The Water Signs of Cancer: Scorpio: Pisces probably savour their food more than anyone else. Their taste buds like to enjoy leisurely meals with attention being given to texture and flavour. Being somewhat self-indulgent, their enjoyment of eating does not always mean they are eating the right foods for often as not they 'binge.'

Full Moon in Scorpio

You’ve heard me often enough say, the Full Moon is a Culmination or Disintegration of what was set in motion 14 days ago, remember? This New Moon is called a Super Moon (meaning it’s very close to the Earth) and taking place in the fixed water sign of Scorpio. Do you know where Scorpio is located on your chart, you should for I’ve been talking about the houses for over a year and when you know where the New Moon takes place and the Full Moon occurs you have a ‘game plan’ where you set goals, idea, plans and objectives in motion and by the Full Moon having some idea as to what’s worked, working or not!

This Full Moon (in my opinion) is one of the powerful ones for its asking you (no matter what sign you are) to eliminate, eradicate, purge and rid yourself of whatever’s holding you back from doing what you want to do or, untie whatever’s hanging around your neck like a millstone. It’s time to make some radical and fundamental changes to the way you live your life. After you read this, begin a de-cluttering, a purging, throwing out, flushing out (even a detox!) is the way to go over the next 48 hours, I’ll be doing just that – what about you?

When we look at the natural sign of Scorpio (8^th house) we notice it’s the ‘house’ of death and transformation, where all of the following (and more) come into focus: In managing your energy or frustration at this time and not lashing out at others – visible or invisible, institutional or personal, they are not to blame. We all do it, projecting our inner frustration onto something or someone 'out there' when all along it's really what's going on within! Take a few deep breaths and give yourself a little ‘lurve.’ Look back twelve months when you were last going through this period (it comes around every year approximately at the same time and has been doing so since your birth! It's in the understanding of the past you can predict the future and if you won't allow or create change (radical or otherwise) you'll end up on the same old merry-go-round. It’s human nature to vent our anger at some invisible foe and if your moods swing from high to low in a matter of seconds (typical of a Full Moon) - enjoy the ride and not cling to them. Believe me "out of darkness comes light" and sometimes it’s necessary to experience the depths of ‘despair’ in order we discover our creativity for it's not what happens but how we handle it – yada, yada, yada!

On a positive note this should be, could be, might be; the best time to re-invent YOU where you’ll go through some form of transformation, some kind of re-birth. Keeping in mind, if you were to win, inherit or come into some financial gain (and this is possible) this too presents a whole new set of circumstances, a whole new set of problems! If you were to win the lottery or come into some ‘inheritance’ over the next 48 hours what would you do with it? Seriously, it’s one of the reasons most people don’t win – no matter how many affirmations they make or, how many ‘plaster saints’ they make promises to!

Find the house Scorpio rules in your chart for this is where you should be focusing your attention. Astrological Angels - Real or Imagined?

Astrological Angels

Do you sometimes wish you had a guardian angel, one whom you could call upon in times of crisis? Around the world there's a growing interest in Angels if the amount of books in the bookstores is anything to go by. Contacting the Angelic world is not as difficult as you might imagine. Take an A4 size piece of cardboard, draw an exact square. In the top left corner write the word Air, in the right hand corner the word Water. In bottom left write the word Earth and in the bottom right the Word Fire. In the centre of your square construct a circle and within this circle draw your own Astrological sign. It's upon this you will begin your meditations and in following the guidelines given be guided towards your very own 'guardian angel'.

Aries: Visualise the colour red as you gaze upon your symbol of the Ram. As the colour builds up in your mind relax and allow the Angel of Aries to appear. Say the words: Stabilia Instabilit. You'll be welcomed into the arms of a loving being. Allow this being to hold you tightly. You will then be taken you by the hand into a desert - like environment. Follow your angel.

Taurus: Visualise the colours red-orange as you gaze upon your symbol of the Bull. Sooner than you think a curtain will fall over your image and as it does say the words: Sacra Inflat. As the curtain lifts you will be greeted by the Angel of Taurus sitting on a throne holding what will appear a bunch of keys. You will be offered these keys, accept them.

Gemini: Visualise the colour orange as you gaze upon your symbol of the Twins. As your image distorts say the words: Ivium Vitae. You will hear the sounds of conversation and will be confronted by two figures holding hands. The Angel's of Gemini will ask that you listen to their words. When you awaken from your meditations write down everything you remember.

Cancer: Visualise the colours orange-yellow as you gaze upon your symbol of the Crab. When you feel a chill over your shoulder say the words: Impera Tibi. The Angel of Cancer will appear in the guise of an old woman emanating a distinct perfume, beckoning you. Move towards her when you 'sense' her perfume. If you don't 'sense' her perfume do not heed her request. End your meditation.

Leo: Visualise the colour yellow as you gaze upon your drawing of Leo's symbol. When your image seems to glow with its own brilliance say words: Vincit Virtus. The Angel of Leo will appear stepping out of a dancing fairy circle. You will be asked to join in the dance. Accept the invitation.

Virgo: Visualise the colours yellow-green as you gaze upon your glyph for the Virgin. As your imagination takes you to a hilltop say the words: Secreta Investigat. As the Angel of Virgo approaches you'll be surprised to see an old man, not a young virgin. Listen to what he has to say and follow his instructions.

Libra: Visualise the colour green as you gaze upon your drawing of the Scales. Repeat the words: Acquilibratio Rerum three or more times. The Angel of Libra will appear suddenly and disappear just as quickly. Keep repeating the words until the image of your angel becomes stable. When it does ask the question: “What is my purpose?”

Scorpio: Visualise a mixture of colours blue-green-turquoise as you gaze upon the symbol associated with Scorpio. As you feel yourself falling (or rising) repeat the words: Disjungit discrepantia. The Angel of Scorpio will appear on horseback. A hand will be offered for you to ride upon the horse along with your angel. Accept this offer willingly.

Sagittarius: Visualise the colour blue as you lightly gaze upon the symbol of the Centaur. As your eyes begin to close the Angel of Sagittarius will appear holding a cup in either hand asking you to choose. Say the words: Virtutem Infundit three times. Your angel will remind you that nothing exists in isolation. As your angel turns and walks away, follow three steps behind.

Capricorn: Burning musk incense, visualising the colour indigo as you gaze upon the symbol for Capricorn the goat will bring the Angel of Capricorn into your field of vision. You will hear enchanting music in the distance and will turn your head accordingly. As this happens say the words: Simia Dei. As you visualise yourself walking towards this music you should find yourself in a forest filled with fairy folk, some tall, some short. One will come to you, let this happen and do not be afraid for the words given above will protect you.

Aquarius: Visualise the colour violet as you gaze upon your drawing of the symbol associated with the Water bearer. Soon, you will find yourself at a party holding an empty glass with many angels mingling. The Angel of Aquarius will appear by your side offering to refresh your goblet. Say the words: Superum Influx as you accept the offer. As your chalice it will bubble over with light.

Pisces: As you visualise the colours red-violet meditating on the symbol associated with the Fishes of Pisces the scene should become dark and somewhat sombre. Say the words: Regina Animarum. You will feel your body swaying, when you feel this keep repeating the above words. The Angel of Pisces will appear offering both hands to steady you. Accept this offer and you will immediately feel at peace as the energy of your angel flows towards you.

Contacting your Astrological Angel is only one way of entering the Angelic Kingdom, there are others, some personal, some more ritualistic. The words given for your Sun Sign will protect you the colours given will help you. Once contact has been made you should follow your Astrological Angel to wherever you are taken and then you will be handed over to another, more personal 'angel' who will then lead you even further towards your very own Guardian Angel. Be patient and results will be forthcoming. Remembering, the angels have always been there, through good times and bad. It's we who have lost the way.
