The Upanishads are the Knowledge portion of the Vedas, texts dealing with the UltimateTruth and Its realization. There is actually a great deal more in the sense of lengthy expositions of Its components: a, u,m, nada, and bindu. But it is either so obscure or in reference to things or terms thatthemselves would require a great deal of explanation–since they would be known only tosomeone very well versed in Vedic religion–that it has seemed reasonable to omit thosesegments or else condense them into brief statements of the relevant ideas.

Psychology is a word which is a combination of two greek words Psyche which means the mind and Logos (logy) which means study or science. Therefore Psychology means the study or science about mind. Psychology is a branch of Philosophy which deals with behaviour or mind. Behaviour is nothing but the expression of our thoughts and feelings in a particular form. We cannot find one's mind but thru behaviour we can tel he/she is this kind of person.

Astrology - A simple Introduction

Astrology is a word which is a combination of two greek words Astro and Logos (logy). Astro means the space (which has numerous stars, planets and the unknown medium of ether). Logy means the science or study. So astrology means study about the space and how it influences our life.
In Indian astrology we have 12 Rasis 9 Grahas and 27 Stars which decide a human life. Every human has the influence of 9 grahas, one birth star, rasi and lagna.

Lagna - Ascendent (stage of Sun from the morning to the birth time)
Rasi - Stage of Moon in a particular star and Rasi at the time of birth.

The time, date and place of birth are the basic things to calculate one's horoscope with the help of Panchanga.
Panchanga - which is the main and only thing helps an astrologer to find the movement, placement of grahas at every moment in the space.

Horoscope is a minature form of one's entire life.
