Awesome news: yours truly was one of the winners of the Starlust Photo contest! My photo, embedded here for your viewing pleasure, was chosen to represent the excellent shopping sim Bill. I was kind of hoping my dinosaur picture would win, just between you and I, but I'm excited to have won Bill with any photo as it was the sim with the prizes I was most, most, most excited about! Thanks to everyone for the amazing prizes they contributed, I now have enough free stuff to dress my avatar for the next six months. And you'll soon be able to see my photo as a billboard all over Bill!

Indie Rock for RFL

If you didn't hear already (or got directed here by my Twitter and aren't entirely sure what this Second Life stuff is exactly), this week is the Indie Rock for Relay for Life carnival in Second Life. Last year we did pretty good raising money for Relay for Life, which is an arm of the American Cancer Society. So if you like indie rock and hate cancer, you can't go wrong by coming to this lovely festival of fun!

The fun starts today, Wednesday March 13 at 11AM PST/SLT on the Indie Rock for RFL carnival island.

I'm DJing Saturday night from 9-11PM PST/SLT - come by and donate your hard earned monies to Relay for Life. I won't even make fun of your requests (in public).

I filled in for the lovely Lux Yao at her Vevlet set on Saturday 3/14 and rolled out the reggae set I've been sitting on for a bit. Everyone looooooved it and wanted to marry it. Yay! This Sunday's Mixtape set went a little artier. Like, Cubist artier. I put together a set based abstractly on Picasso's Les Demoislles d'Avignon. It ended up going in cycles - from what the aesthetics of this bizarre brothel might have felt like to a social commentary on prostitution to what may have lead the male viewer of the painting there to how everyone might have felt after the moment in the picture.
