That said, I would not have wanted it any other way. It is no secret that I pride myself in my 4chan origins, a fact that is reflected in almost all, if not every post that I have made thus far. 431 and counting. With it comes all the memetic shenanigans that can be overbearing at times. You would not believe the number of people I have irked with my imageboard mentality, where I basically made a nuisance of myself by doing things such as spouting unfunny one-liners to blatant trolling. The sad part is that even though I am well aware of it, I just cannot bring myself to stop.

My Bahasa Malaysia language teacher in secondary school put it best when she described my writings to be syok sendiri, a term used to define someone who derives pleasure from an act only he or she is able to. In other words, I write simply to pleasure myself. Kind of like masturbating, if you will. However, I personally feel that it is this seemingly conceited attitude that has kept me afloat in the blogosphere, where a good number of my peers who started roughly around the same time as me have burnt out and thrown in the towel. I also think that this approach has aided my attempts at differentiation, if only because not many have considered solely on churning out gimmicky posts. Above all else, I find this to be enjoyable, and as someone who gets bored almost too easily, that is an accomplishment on its own.

Of course, while I have made myself sound self sufficient, the fact of the matter is that I consider myself to be very fortunate, as I have been able to get away with the things that the average anime blogger would not consider or might think twice about actually pulling off. All the more to be thankful, I say, as too often have I noticed others struggling to find their niche, while I am blessed with the luxury of doing whatever I please. Keeping that in mind, I do give it my best to garner your attention, with what limited resources I have in terms of writing ability, bolstered only with cheap lulz and Photoshop. If you were entertained even for the slightest bit, then I can give myself a pat on the back and consider my work done.

You are ditching class and minding your own business when suddenly everything goes to shit and you have a zombie apocalypse in your hands. What do you do to survive?

Lifted directly off a trustworthy zombie survival tutorial, this guide provides a quintessential list of rules that a person should abide by in order to make it out alive in a zombie outbreak. This is not a comprehensive guide by any chance, so if you do get fucked by zombies, I offer only a prayer when your corpse is repeatedly defiled by brain munchers, as you eventually turn into one of them.

Zombies of late have been ferociously agile and atheletic, so more often than not, overweight people who do not exercise will be the first to go. When you are unarmed and have no other means of defending yourself, it all boils down to how far and how fast your legs can carry you.

For the most part, the main cast adhere to this very important rule; Or at least the girls do, since they are scantily clad to begin with, with much of what little clothing they have shredding conveniently throughout later on. However, it will all be for nought, since I imagine that they will be bogged down by the sheer weight of their breasts, which will eventually negate the first rule, regardless of how physically prepared they are otherwise.

Your odds of surviving a zombie outbreak would increase exponentially if you have a partner who is not a massive convulsing vagina and is able to kick ass. Especially if you are that kickass partner yourself. After all, survival in the event of an apocalypse takes precedence over the fact that you were dumped by your childhood friend for some douchebag.

Unless of course, you are actually the protagonist(see rule 8). Poor sap never stood a chance, and he had to learn the hard way about how even being grazed by an infected equates to being fucked. Can't fault him for trying though, since the Main Character syndrome got the better of him, considering he is both voiced by Miyano Mamoru and is going out with one of the main girls after all.

You may have access to a repertoire of weaponry, be it automatic rifles to makeshift ones you got hold from the janitor's, but if you do not limber up before facing a horde of zombies head on, you are still going to get fucked. Take a breather at the dojo and stretch those sword wielding muscles. Having your hands fail you even when your legs do not is going to plain suck.

Barracading yourself at the top of the roof may not be such a great idea, unless you already conform to rule 8. It will be a little troublesome breaking out again, but since you have a kickass partner on your side, you can easily wade through the zombies without so much of a hitch.

Chances are, you are not the kickass partner in question, so you would want to cling on to someone who actually is. As the name of the rule implies, the system works both ways, so while he protects your ass from zombies, it is your responsibility to give him that aforementioned booty as an equivalent trade.

This rule is subject to personal interpretation, so do as it says. It will always be the smallest things in life that remind you of what you are fighting for and put your mind off the fact the world is coming to an inevitable end. Pictured above is what I assume is the protagonist's. Of course it also serves as a form of combat enchancement, as there is nothing like these moments to get the blood pumping to every inner, outer and nether region of the body.

I am unfazed by blood and gore, but the humongous torpedo-shaped Inazuma knockers are always unnerving no matter how many times I gaze my eyes on them. Oh, the horror.

There is little for me to talk about in regards to the plot, since the title is self explanatory as it is, though it does make me sort of wonder why this has not been done already, as the only example I can think of at the top of my head is the forgettable Tokyo Majin Gakuen Kenpuchō.

In terms of originality, Highschool of the Dead encompasses all the zombie movie tropes one would come to expect, which is nothing wrong of course, and I believe Madhouse can pull it off, provided that they do not blow all their budget on animating tits and ass.

The stress of three assignments and an examination proved too much for me to bear. I know I came to Sydney, among other things, to study, but is burying myself in books during my final semester how I want to remember Australia by? No, said the weeaboo, and so, I went on a much deserved and long overdue date with the love of my life.

My ancestor blogging his anime.

I come from a long line of anime wordsmiths that predates the Qing Dynasty. My father was an editorial blogger, as was his father before him. They blogged about mature anime for mature people such as themselves and were heralded as prodigies in their field during their time. As the firstborn of the eldest son, the responsibility of upholding the family name was weighed on my shoulders. However, as I did not wish to be constrained by traditions and forced to write up editorials, not to mention enjoying ℳℴℯ❤shit anime, a genre frowned upon by my ancestors, I was branded a heathen and ostracised by my clansmen. I never regretted my decision venturing into other discourses of anime blogging, and thus hope to one day restore my honour in the eyes of my family and ancestors, proving to them that eliciting lulz by way of image manipulation and cool stories is also a form of blogging. As I work my way there, I seek the benevolence of you, the reader, by voting for me in the Aniblog Tourney, in hopes that my clansmen would acknowledge the path that I have chosen.

There have been speculations abound regarding the origins of Tachibana Kanade, as to how she gained the title of Tenshi and the secret behind her repertoire of maneuvers that were beyond human capabilities. It is widely theorised that T3nsh1, as Kanade is known throughout Battle.net, was an aspiring Starcraft athlete, who met her demise just short of achieving her dream of becoming a world champion.

Much like the Shinda Sekai Sensen members and many others before her, Kanade was brought to the world after death bearing the burden of regret from not having accomplished her goal in life. As such, it was not unusual for a person to retain their talents even after they have deceased. Kanade, however, surpassed everyone else in one aspect.

Kanade had always been an adept user of the Protoss, an enigmatic alien race and masters of psychokinesis, which may ring familiar even to those who have never played or god forbid, heard of Starcraft, as Kanede herself possessed those traits.

Projecting her devotion to Starcraft through her very being, Kanade is able to manifest the abilities of the Protoss, as seen throughout the series thus far.

Triumphs after triumphs, Kanade eventually became the only ranked female player in the world top 100 player ladder on Battle.net, and was well on her way to becoming like her idol, Bisu.

As her proud nation of Japan would not acknowledge the Korean national sport, Kanade had difficulty obtaining a sponsor who would take her to the 2010 Ongamenet Starleague, the most prestigious Starcraft championship league in Korea, and arguably the world. Through perseverance and a stroke of good luck, the Japanese subsidiary of Samsung soon recognised Kanade's talents and potential, thus agreeing to become her benefactor.

Kanade, however, would not live to see her dreams come true. The day before her flight to Seoul, Kanade succumbed to prolonged sleep deprivation from intense training sessions. Much like her namesake, Kanade was found lying on her keyboard with an angelic smile. She died doing what she loved. She gave her life for Aiur.

In the world after death, Kanade's obssession with Starcraft never left her, and because of that she was unable to socialise with the rest of the students, casting herself as an outcast, much like when she was alive. Still, that didn't stop a gang of rebel students who were vehemently opposing her, whom Kanad equated to as Terrans.

Kanade fought back with full strength as she longed for combat, delivering doom to all who threatened the homeworld.

Folks, if you have been a long time reader of this site, you would know by now that Photoshopping makes up the bulk of my blogging bread and butter. And I don't mean to boast, but I consider myself to be peerless in the art of shoopping within the Japanese cartoon blogging community Despite my technical prowess, there has been one thing that always eluded me, and that is none other than censorship.

Prevalence of censorship in anime these days are more often than not, driven by economic factors, but that is not why I am making this post. No, my job here today is to experiment with Adobe's Content-Aware function which was implemented in the latest iteration of Photoshop, touted to forever revolutionise image-editing*.

Imagine the televised broadcast of your favourite show being ruined by greedy animation studios, and you are too impatient to wait for the DVD/Blu Ray versions to be released, or even a couple of days for ATX's uncensored broadcast. Bearing in mind what Content-Aware is supposedly capable of, I will first have that particular scene have its censor edited out (oh, the irony), and then have Content-Aware run its magic and predict what that missing element might be.

To accomplish that task, I have handpicked screenshots from various anime that feature an assortment of censorship methods that you would come to expect. As implied in the title, I will also try to make things interesting by keeping a tally of the success and failure of Content-Aware in doing its job.

First up, Evangelion. From the screenshot above I am sure that you would agree with me that this form of censorship, the most subtle of the lot, leans towards clever placement of an object, but censorship is still censorship. Please note that it has nothing to do with me wanting to see a penis.

To be honest, I never expected the results to be anatomically accurate in the first place, but it turns out Content-Aware is, for the lack of better words, well aware that Shinji is universally acknowledged to be a pussy, thus appropriately bestowing him with what seems like a poorly rendered female reproductive organ. Not bad.

Content Aware 1 - Anime 0

Next up, Kodomo no Jikan. This series marks one of the earliest instances I could recall when it comes to blatant censoring, next to Air Gear's infamous censor crows. This is as unapologetic as they come, and because I dropped this series in favour of the superior manga, I will never learn the truth behind rincensor.jpg

I don't really fault Content-Aware here, since it didn't have much to work with in the first place, but the result does highlight its inherent limitations.

Content Aware 1 - Anime 1

Kämpfer was a guilty pleasure of mine when it aired, though considering the nature of the show, it was rather shy of revealing the naughty bits, much like my favourite character here. Less obstrusive but nonetheless annoying, barrier tapes are essentially upmarket versions of the perennial black bars.

An impressive outcome. Content-Aware filled the bottom right section perfectly, and rendered Akane's nipples rather well, when the uncensored version failed to do so.

Content Aware 2 - Anime 1

Omamori Himari. You know the anime industry is at a major decline when animators just aren't even trying anymore, to the point you could almost sense that pent up apathy in that white blob(?) That or white out got spilled all over the animation cells and no one noticed

Content-Aware is equally pathetic for this one, as I expected clone stamp-esque results, had it been used, with the trees overlaying the entire white blob. No go.

Content Aware 2 - Anime 2

Because Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaou is so watchable anyway, I almost didn't mind the arbitrarily placed censors, as they are actually quite amusing. Still, this is possibly the closest to a girl's vajayjay the show will ever feature, and I just wanted to believe.

What is this I don't even.

Content Aware 2 - Anime 3

Didn't catch the uncensored broadcast for this particular episode of Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaou, and because my memory's a little hazy, there wasn't much to this crotchplant other than the protagonist taking an up close whiff of the sweet fragrance of schoolgirl panties.

Content-Aware didn't add anything new per se, but it at least did a polished job of filling in the spots.

Content Aware 3 - Anime 3

And it looks like we have a draw! This won't do of course, because like any proper competition, an actual verdict must be declared. I thought this over and the only way for Content-Aware to ever leave an impression and claim superiority over every other image editing function in Photoshop's repertoire is for it to do the impossible. Or in this case, see the invisible.

Clannad season 1 circa Fuko's arc. She has faded out of existence, and is barely clinging on to the memories of Tomoya and Nagisa. What can Content-Aware do to overturn this impending travesty? Only one way to find out...

There you have it folks, a first hand look into content-aware. Sure this seemingly glorified fill function will not help users generate homemade porn soon, or if at all, but it has proven itself to be nothing short of a miracle worker. And that alone makes it a winner in my books.
