Yes…Night Market…also known as the Pasar Malam where you get everything in the Wet and Dry market, sold by people all over, just like the one in Folkstone Kent every Sunday when I was in UK and where I will get my dose of Chippies and Fish….and games…

Of which, dad was quite annoyed at me with the people selling hot stuff, hot oil in the pans and I will run to see my Cucuq, aka Keropok Lekor..but dad had none of those for me that day….so it’s to the stinky market at Pasar Kulim for the Night Market and he wants to buy FISH… Big fish… showed me live fish.. still flipping away..them cat fish which I like to eat…

Then I saw toys round the corner and daddy dragged me away …because he cannot afford the toy helicopter which was whizzing about..think was about 20 Singgits ..yiu know those blue tickets with the face of an old man… bus ticket like… Daddy say them are Ringgits..but it’s Chingits the same…

So it’s the Stinky Fish….and what I saw… was cheap cheap baby chicken… yellow chicken… so I want one..and daddy bought me one… but I also want the penguin… so he said he will get me later. But silly me..I broken my chicken leg. Broken… bounce bounce not so bouncy… OOOH NOOOO!

Trouble is… even when Daddy bought me a big BeeaMooh Meemo from Damansara..I still want something else…after all, I spend what my daddy has…it’s the same…. Daddy sure let me have what I want….

See what I mean and mommy has another big treasure chest of big TY Babies ..which she hides from me because the last treasure I got and found..I tore the ears out…silly me..I chew it all.. raff raff like a doggie dog dog…

Mommy site is down because of something…not my problem… but then I will say…I don’t mind much…as long I get what I need.

I would turn four this coming November 23rd, and in one day, we would be celebrating Syawal! Of course those two are in no way related, but I just wanted to remind myself that I am getting older! And taller hehe.. I am not sure why we are going to celebrate Syawal, truth be told, but I am sure Mommy and Daddy would enlighten me when I am bigger.

But anyway, I would like to wish all those aunties and uncles out there “Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri from me, Mommy, Daddy and the rest of the family”.

Drive safely while heading out to your kampung, and be aware of those very irresponsible drivers, ya . Selamat memandu pulang ke kampung!

That was me in the car seat. Obviously, Mommy took this photo while she was at the front seat. Duh.

But anyway, see me pouting there? Mommy remembered that I just woke up from my slumber, ditto my very dreamy and a little bit confused face. I was going to stretch, Mommy said, or rather, I did stretch! I always stretched whenever I woke up from sleep, even when I was smaller.

Mommy also told me another interesting story of us in the car. Apparently, I wailed my eyes out earlier probably because I wanted to go to sleep, but my eyes would not obey since we were looking out onto the sea. Yes, we probably were going to the beaches, though Mommy didn’t remember which one, she said.

And this photo was taken when I was twenty one months old when this photo was taken, in August 2006. Look at my hair. Frankensteina in the making, doncha think? And look at my yummy tummy. Mommy said I love my soy milk.

Mommy missed these photos. These should be put up here couple of weeks ago, while Mommy chronologized all my photos. But it’s OK. These were taken around the last week of March, 2006, so that makes me around 16 months old.

As you can see, I made myself pretty much comfortable around the house, especially on this leather sofa. It was quite comfortable, and Mommy loved it because it was pretty much stain-proof. I would usually eat my strawberries over there, and get the red stains all over myself, the sofa included.

All Mommy gotta do was take a damp towel, and wipe it clean.

Easy peasy, like what Jamie Oliver would say.

I would usually plopped myself down and watch Balamory over the telly. Or whatever that caught my fancy, actually.

I would share the sofa with Mommy and Daddy if they were nice to me. And we shared the sofa most of the times, so you could say that Mommy and Daddy had usually been nice towards this little princess tot. Heh heh..

The photo above was taken during one of our drive up to Ramsgate. Both Mommy and Daddy like the place for different reasons. Daddy like the place because that is the one place that he likes to get his monthly or bi-monthly (if he behaves hehehe) fix of cheap chippies. Oh, chippies, as in fish and chips.

Very cheap chippies that we would be able to get both in Margate and Ramsgate. Daddy was the one who introduced us to Peter’s Fish Factory at both places, but most of the times we would be getting some over at Ramsgate.

I have some photos of me eating some chippies bought from Peter’s, but Mommy said she could not be bothered to search for it in the photo album. She said she made an entry about it over at her journal. She said she would look for it and link it here later on.

If she felt like it, that is.

But again, this was taken probably in December 2005 or January 2006. Mommy said she could not resist. She just had to add this one photo.

She said I looked as if I was running after my own shadow.

Maybe she was right.

Maybe, eh?

We were on our way to the city center, and catch our train or flight back to Luton. We had not decided on our mode of transport back. Mommy told me that it took us 1 1/2 hour to get to Scotland on a flight from Luton. She also added that if we were to take the Virgin Express, three hours would be added to travel time.

But anyway, we took a cab to get to the city center, and walk around after finished eating our breakfast. Daddy then contacted airlines, but we were flummoxed when we were told that no seats were available for flight back to London, or Luton.

Daddy said that we definitely need to take the train. He then contacted Virgin Express, and he bought couple of tickets for us. He also was informed that it was not five hours journey. It would take almost six hours to get to London. Mommy said she was worried that I might not be able to sit still if we were to take a longer way home.

Mommy was partly right.

But I partly behaved on the train. I would never forget that train ride. When we embark on the train, we found out just how many people were traveling on that day. Too many. And since we had my Gracco pram with us, it was not easy maneuvering around.

As it was not easy to find seatings for us to seat together. So Daddy made a decision after talking to the train attendant. He found out that there are more seatings over at the First Class coach. Daddy decided that we would just have to trade up and top up the tickets to first class. Whichever, I don’t know. All I know is that it was so crampy inside the coach, so I was glad when we had our own table at FIrst Class.

Our train ride home on Virgin Express doubled for what we paid for our flight tickets, Mommy said. But it’s OK, Mommy. Now we know that I really could take public transportations.

As long as I don’t need to sit in it for more than two hours.

Tee hee….

This is another entry that should have been added earlier. This was our second journey to Scotland, as per entries before here and here. Mommy said that she might have another couple more entries in January before adding more entries for March/April.

This was taken at one of the Premier Travel Inns over in Glasglow. The accommodation was nothing to shout about, but it was clean and not reeking of cigarette’s fumes. So that was OK.

That morning, we would be heading towards the city to figure out our mode of transport back home. It would either be a flight home (which would take only an hour and half, or one of those express trains (which would be between four to five hours).

Mommy said that we would decide about that later after getting to the city. For now, we need to get something to fuel our hunger

Again, to continue from the one below. I know that I should have asked Mommy to put this up way earlier than this since these were all taken in January, 2006, whilst those previous entries were already up to the last week of March, 2006.

It’s OK. We’ll just make note so that we don’t forget in the future, yes?

Anyway, we just got off the plane from Luton to Edinburgh, and it was such an early ride that I was left sleepy afterwards. See in the second photo above? Daddy just took the first photo and minutes later I was dozing in la la land.

Edinburgh Castle was just close by, but we decided not to go since we already been there a year ago. This time, we walked down this way at Edinburgh, and Mommy shopped at Evans since there were some sales going on. Daddy and I waited for awhile, then we went outside because Daddy was bored.

I was not bored, but I had to follow Daddy since it would take Mommy longer to shop if I was around. Daddy said we were going to shop for me afterwards, since Mommy said she wanna get me some pants

This was my second trip to Scotland, the first one being when I was two months old, right after my Mommy finished her so-called confinement period. I asked Mommy to put up a photo of me and her at Edinburgh Castle, and you could take a peek over here. I don’t remember about that adventure because I was too little to know what was going on. All I know was Mommy and Daddy took me on a long drive, it was quite chilly, but it was OK because I really like cool and chilly weather.

But anyway back to our story. This was supposed to be added earlier on, but Mommy forgets. This was on our journey to around Scotland, and in one of them we took a train ride. It started off with me being sleepy, and I promptly fall asleep inside my pram. Then, when I woke up, Mommy had to make sure that she play around with me, else I would get boring and she don’t want me to get bored, so I was happy for awhile.

Then I did get bored. I wanted to see what is outside. I asked Daddy to put me up the table. Well, I was quite safe since Daddy was holding me tight while Mommy kept on snapping some photos of me then.

This was my special hideaway. A nook created specially just for me. Really.

Mommy said these photos were taken on the last week of March, 2006. I would usually play here whenever the mood strikes me. Which would be a lot of times. And then I would create such a big mess because Mommy usually would put some of my stuffed animals and plush pillows and quilts over here.

But Mommy was fine with it because she knew that I enjoyed my times there very much. I would usually start by taking out all those stuffed toys, then the plush pillows.

The last thing that would come out would be those big quilts that Mommy would put there for me to lie down on. Those were very comfortable, and just like my Button, I missed them very much.

Mommy once informed me that the nook was for a fireplace. A fire what? Why would we need to light up fire over at my special hideaway? Mommy was being very silly, I am pretty sure.

You agree, no?

Hehehe….

Let me introduce you to Button. I called her Button because she had three colorful buttons stitched up on the belly to her chest.

OK, so I did not call her that since I could not talk clearly enough for anyone to understand then. Mommy referred to her as Button, and I knew whenever Mommy said to pick Button off the floor.

Anyway, I dragged button everywhere around the house, but thankfully Mommy stopped me from taking Button to the malls and everywhere else. Like you can see, Button was almost as big as I, so I could easily sleep on it whenever I felt like it.

Thankfully it was light, too, so I could drag it around as well.

Mommy left Button in the storage since she said I already have enough, and Button still awaits for me in Kent. I wonder if Daddy would hurry up and have someone send all our stuffs over so that I could give Button more love? I miss her, anyway.

Remember when I wrote, ehem, when Mommy wrote earlier on about me driving here?

Well, Mommy found another set of photos of me driving. OK, so I was not really driving. I was thinking to drive. I was going to drive, but my short and stubby (THEN! THEN short and stubby) legs would not allow me for it could not reach the floor.

Let see if I could remember when this was taken. Of course it was taken in the car. At night (tee hee!), to which Mommy said it was taken probably outside Sainsbury close to our home. We were probably waiting for Daddy since it was quite chilly outside.

It was probably in Purley, but I could not vouch for it since Daddy himself could not remember.

But anyway, like I said before, Mommy went trigger happy while waiting for Daddy. She sat me up over at the driver’s seat (I was in my carsear minutes before) and then I was in driver’s haven!

I get to hold the steering wheel! Boy was I lucky or what!

I couldn’t wait until I turn 17 to get my driver’s license!

That’s dollar pancake that I was eating. Well, rather a little big dollar pancake that Mommy made sometimes in the first week of March, 2006. Yes, more than two years ago.

Mommy said that I was not that much fussy eater when I was younger. I ate my mushed peas or some other vegetables. Mommy said that I wanted to try.

Unlike now where I would be quite picky, and Mommy had to trick me into eating one vegetables or the other. I know some other tots my age would eat lots of vegetables, so I am not going to make excuses for my misbehaviour.

I would just do like what Mommy does. She lets me chose when to eat, and not try to force vegetables down my throat because she knew that it would put me off eating.

And please don’t say that it is OK for me not to eat.

I need sustenance. I drink lots of my milk. Heheheh :p

I love strawberries. When I was younger, Mommy and Daddy had to (sometimes) get me new onesies because I would stain them with strawberries juices that run down my chin! Luckily, onesies were cheap back in the UK. Not over here in Malaysia, though. Lucky for Mommy that Daddy can’t find short onesies for me to wear here heh heh…

Just look at the first photo. It was taken somewhere around late January to early February in 2006. My very straight and fine hair were starting to go astray. They were going to be curly, and that got Mommy a little bit worried!

And alas, by the time the couple more photos were taken, the curl were more pronounced. I remembered Auntie Win saying that I was turning into a little Einstein. How true her words were, really. The last couple of photos were taken late February to early March, 2006.

That was the beginning of the curly mops. And for some who had not read Mommy’s journal before, they  would definitely see them (those curly mops) later on.

Last photos for January, 2006. Promise. So Mommy said.

But anyway, could you detect any similarities between these two photos? No? Yes?

OK. I will tell you. See, I was drooling in those photos. Mommy said I had been drooling ever since I was born, and I did not stop until I went back to Malaysia around fall the same year.

Mommy said she had no idea why you were drooling. Were I teething? Well, my second set of 8 teeth were out when I was 11 months old. That was three months ago.

So does that mean that my last four teeth were sprouting out? Not really. My last four teeth came out later than that.

Mommy said that back home among her people, the older generation would say that when babies drool, it meant that their Mommies did not get to eat something when she was pregnant.

So I asked Mommy what she was hankering for when she was pregnant with me.

She replied, “There were couple of things that Mommy wanted to eat, but could not find, or were told not to eat, when I was pregnant with you. The first one would be breadfruit. Your Mak Tok Ani said that breadfruit is not good for pregnant ladies because it was windy (gassy? berangin?), so I did not. The second food that Mommy really wanted to eat was ketupat sotong.”

So what’s the significance of not eating something that one was hankering for while pregnant to baby drooling, I asked me.

Beats me.

That’s what she said.

Taken in January, 2006, so that meant I was 14 months old. I could barely reach the floor, so no, I did not really drove the car. I mean the bus.

I wish I could have driven that ghetto fabulous bus. I would definitely paint it pink.

“Look at me, Mommy. Look at me!” is my favorite phrase of late. Mommy would be quite irritated because I know if she don’t look at me, I would start to scream some more of look-at-me’s until she did.

Oh yes Mommy loved this one.

She said I looked so round and chubby.

Mommy also said that she missed having tiny me around. I now stands at 102.5cm, just 61cm shorter than Mommy. So yes, I am no longer chunky, nor am I tiny or vertically challenge little tot no more.

Mommy was quite surprised that I gain an inch since last May. She measured my height, and I was around 99-100cm tall then. She hope that I would be even taller, soon, so that she could let Daddy take me out on rides.

How tall would I be when I turn four this coming November? Another inch or two taller, perhaps? Sweet!

I wonder whether I would be as tall as my Mama. That is a though. :p

All these photos were taken in January, 2006. Mommy said that she went through this photo taking frenzy during that time, probably because she did not take any photos of me for about three months when Daddy’s very old camera was sent to the doctor for some malfunction or the other.

So during these times, I had to oblige and stare at Mommy whenever she said (in frenzy), “Look here, Tia, look at Mommy!”. Sigh. What a girl to do.

Anyone out there who had been reading Mommy’s journal would notice some similar photos that she would have, undoubtedly, put up, but rest assured that those are other photos. She would continue taking photos of me for about 30 minutes in one sitting, so you could only imagine how many similar looking photos that I would have in our photo album.

Mommy informed me that she had already processed more than 30,000 photos in our online photo albums (we have three), and she still have another thousand or so to go.

She had been procrastinating, she said.

It’s ok. She is processing all those on her own time. She can take all the times that she wants, right?

Since I forgave her, she decided to post this one up.

These are all photos of me in January, 2006. On my very comfortable and adjustable Hauck Up N’Down Disney Highchair. Mommy and Daddy bought that highchair for me around Christmas 2005, and I loved it so much because it was comfortable, reclinable (is there such a word), and Mommy could easily push the chair down, so that I could sit on it while watching Balamory. Niffy, eh?

Sadly, though, Mommy and Daddy did not pack that home. Come to think of it, most of our stuffs are in storage back in Kent, and Daddy had to fork out 100 quid every month just for storage. Hmmm… Maybe he should sent the packing company people, and have them ship every last thing back home, kan?

I know, I know. I am just a little baby.

But babies have opinions, too, ya know?

Funny thing is, Mommy and Daddy paid the same amount back then, as the price for the chair now. Weird eh, since one would thought that after three years, the price would go down some.

Since today is August 08th, 2008, or 08.08.08 , Mommy decided to put up some photos of me wearing pinkdresses. I usually would wear pants because it would be easier to climb on anything in it, but I give in because Mommy looked ever so hopeful that I would wear that.

Mommy took some close up of this gorgeous, shimmery corduroy dress because she said she simply could not resist it. She also loved the snowflake applique on it, and she said that she was so glad that she bought this one for me to wear.

I, and Mommy, did not remember where we went after taking these photos, probably to eat out somewhere.

And you can see that the dress was a tad bit long for me to wear, but then I was a little bit chunky, so the dress suited me just fine.

We, of course, did not bring it home here. But even if I do, Mommy said she could not bare to part with it.

She said she would probably let my baby sister wear it. If we stayed over in cooler climes.

But then, I don’t have a baby sister.

Not for a while yet, right Mommy?

I was quite grumpy when this photo was taken. But I don’t know why.

Was it because Daddy did not get me his favorite (OK, so it was also my favorite’s) chippies? But that can’t be because I know that he would get some whenever we got over by this seaside.

Would it be because Mommy was pushing the camera to my face to snap more photos of I? That must be it, though I doubt it matters much at that time. (Mommy would still take photos of me, wailing or not, whenever she wants!)

Was it because I was cold? But… But… I don’t get cold like Mommy does, right?

It must be because Daddy did not stop by the mall before coming over, for Mommy to get some dresses for me, kan Mommy, kan?

Come to think of it, I was little bit pouty probably because of the cap. Mommy knew how much I don’t like anything that covered my head. Mommy said that I took the cap right after Mommy put it on. She said she was lucky that she was quick, else she would never see me wearing the cute cap any time :p

Ho ho ho. Mommy said that she would continue from the previous, so now she would. And hey Mommy, you called me Chunky! Hmphhh!

I was tethering around, and Daddy was behind me for Mommy worried that I might fall down on my bum.

And she was correct. I did fell on me bum, and then I wailed because me bum hurt from the fall.

But anyway, do you think that I was chunky in that photo?

I think I looked OK. I had to put the hood on because it was way too windy for Mommy’s liking. So the hood goes up.

Maybe the hood made me looked chunkier than I was?

Should I diet?

Heh heh. Yeah, I am kidding.

I know I looked gorgeous enough for people who really cared.

Mommy loves, loves, loves this photo of me taken at Gun Wharf on Boxing Day, 2005. We usually would come here when Mommy wanted to pick some cook books to salivate check some recipes out or when Daddy wanted to get something to read. Oh yes, Gun Wharf is where the local library is located at. Spacious and gorgeous library that we had there, with high ceilings and big bay windows adorning the old building.

I run here and there. Actually, we went there that day because Mommy wanted to take some photos of the place. She thought that they would not be too many people around, and she was right.

It was quite chilly, though, so we did not stay that long. I walked here and there, and Mommy even took some photos of me and Daddy on one of those meriam heh heh…

Oh I forget! Mommy totally loves this photo because she said that I looked like a little eskimo girl. Or the politically-correct term would be Inuit people.

Mommy took this photo while holding me on her lap. She tried she tried various angle so that she won’t be in the photo. She also said that I was not helping much since I was squirming and trying to take the camera away from her hand.

Yes, I know. So Mommy said.

Mommy also mentioned that this was taken around the second week of December, 2005. So that means that I was around 13 months old when this photo was taken!

I noticed that my hair was still straight (and quite short) at this point of time. I wondered when my hair turned out to be a mass of curly tops?

Undergoing MyBlogLog Verification

My first ever baju kurung! I had couple of baju kurungs to wear that year, actually, for Uncle Raman sent me this one, and then Auntie Azie sent another one via Uncle Mahathir who were in London for work.

Mommy said I was so blessed because I have people who care enough to send gifts for me, and I readily agree. Mommy let me wore this one because the one that Auntie Azie sent were a tad bit too big for me to wear, and it was big enough that I wore it the next year, in 2006, during Eid!

AND, another milestone for me, for I started to walk the day before! Yes. I started to walk, and then I, to my Mommy’s chagrin, started to climb up the stairs! Yes, both in the same day!

Mommy said that I gave her the shock of her life when she heard me walking upstairs when she was in the kitchen. From then on, the door heading out from the living room would always be locked since Mommy said she don’t want to get premature gray hairs from that experience!

Mommy said that I looked too precious for words in this baju kurung.

I happen to agree :p

Yes, these couple of photos showed me in my favorite blankie (then) and cot (then). Thankfully (Mommy said) I outgrew this favorite blankie phase, and I had not been able to sleep in my cot since I was like seventeen months old. I could climb out from that cot, really.

But back to my favorite topic : Milk. Mommy told me this story not too long ago. You see, I used to (not anymore, though) drink soy formula for babies when I was younger. Well, actually, when I was around 6 weeks old. At first I used to drink the usual baby formula, but I pooped too much, and it was too much that Mommy just knew that I must be in some pain. And she asked Daddy what could they do?

They consulted the pediatrician, who had not been happy about Mommy’s question. Mommy was really dissatisfied, so she asked Daddy what to do. Daddy said his younger brother faced the same problem : runny stool, and too many of them. And his parents changed his formula, giving him soy formula, instead. And it worked.

So against the pediatrician advise, Mommy switched. She gave me soy milk since I was six months old, and my problems disappeared.

I no longer pooped too much (Mommy told me that most days, it would be usual to change me 10-12 times because I pooped!), and I slowly gained weight! If you read previous entries, you would know that I was a premie, and I was so scrawny that Mommy called me her skeleton baby!

DIsclaimer : Mommy said that she changed my formula because she knew that if she did not, I would be in pain longer. She also added that other Mommies should follow their pediatrician’s advice, though one must admit, pediatricians are not all-knowing. Right?

That was one sad day for me. Why, I hear you asked. Because I twisted my shoulder, my left shoulder to be exact.

This was how it went. That fateful day, Mommy was using the computer and I decided to play with Mommy at the same time. Mommy, as usual, would let me play with her, and she would also be using the notebook at the same time. Mommy watched, and Mommy held my hand.

And then, I decided to walk away. And I wrenched my hand away from Mommy. And I was, am still, very strong. And I felt pain.

I wailed, and Mommy held me while calling Daddy, asking him to come home. He did, and then we went to the A&E at Medway Hospital. The same hospital that I was born at.

Over at the hospital, I sobbed some because my shoulder hurt so bad. Because I was a little baby, and because the doctor who took a look at my shoulder knew something was not right, I was taken to the xray unit, where Daddy hold me so that the technician would be able to take some photos of my shoulder.

It was not easy, and I cried some, but the technician managed after a couple of tries.

Then we took the photos to the pediatrician on duty, and he said that he had to wrenched her shoulder back in. Daddy held me, while Mommy waited outside. After one shrill cry, I felt better.

That was so terrifying to Mommy.

She cried some afterwards. I held her, and I made sure she knew that I was OK, that I love her very, very much.

I hope Mommy knew that.

Mommy loves this one very much, she told me. When I asked her why, she said because I wore this lavender gown. She said I looked like a boy with that very short hair that she usually would have to put me into pinkish, red or lavenderish suits, anything, as long as the color is feminine enough.

I am not sure why people would think of me as being a boy. Did I look like a boy?

OK, so if anyone were to look at me from behind, one might mistakenly thought that I was a boy, I assume? But if I was wearing a pink or lavenderish gown like this, nobody would ask such questions, like?

Wrong. There had been occasions where Mommy let me wear pinkish garb, and yet some people would ask whether I was a boy of a girl!

Hmphh. Really, some people just don’t have a clue.

That was me at 10 months old. I love playing with my Button. Button is the biggish teddybear in the picture right above. I usually would take Button to sleep with me in my cot, or just when I am taking a nap.

Mommy was in her photo taking frenzy during those times, and she would be snapping photos of me left and right. She said she wanted to make up for all those months of going without camera and no photos of me. I merely obliged, but I thought she was a little bit over the top sometimes he he he.

But of course I did not say that to her. It would just be too rude, don’t you think? So I turned to her whenever I feel like it, most of the times I just ignored her and do whatever I felt like doing.

Oh, I have not walked yet at this point. I merely could crawl, climb up the chair and sofa, and more crawling. I was merely holding on to the cabinet and pulled myself up. Mommy was hoping that I could walk by this point, but no I could not. My teeth already sprouted, eight of them actually, by the time I turned seven months. Come to think of it, I started crawling when I turned seven months, too.

And if you look inside the nook where the fireplace is supposed to see, you could see a couple of purplish plush pillows? Those were my butterfly pillows. I like them very much, but Mommy did not pack them home for me. Instead, she put them in the storage with other toys and such. Boo hoo.

Why would I pfttt at my Mommy? Well easy, really. There is not much photos of me from my fifth until ninth months! What a travesty, I know!

But, in retrospect (yes, I am using a very big word for a little toddler, me), Mommy did mention that the camera was sent to the camera fixer people (Mommy forgotten the correct term for it), I mean sent back to the manufacturer (!) because something was wrong with it.

Mommy waited months for them to send back the camera, but to no avail. Finally Daddy got me Mommy a new camera! I do not remember what it was, but I could ask Daddy later on.

This photo was taken when I was around four months old. So this should be around March, 2005. I did not look much different compared to when I was three months old, my face was still very round.

I am not sure whether this photo was taken right before we go out since I was wearing the bib. And since I was wearing the socks. I know for a fact that I did not like wearing socks when I was younger. I used to put up a fuss whenever Mommy decided to put a pair of socks for me before we would go for an outing. Mommy would, usually, let me not wear those darn socks in the car, and then right before we stepped out to wherever we had gone to, those socks would be on me.

I am not sure why I wasn’t smiling in this photo. Was I irritated with Mommy? Or was I irritated with Daddy? Or was it both? Was I trying to tell Mommy to stop camwhoring me every time that she felt like it? Oh. I should camwhore for Mommy a lot more since something happened to the camera not a few days later. So many things to think about!

Sigh. Such was the life of the little, albeit very adorable, baby.

This was me at three months old. See how different I was from the previous photo? This was taken probably just a month after our Scotland trip. Oh no, I don’t think that I gained more weight (and turned into such a round ball that my Mommy loved to cuddle with) because of the Scottish air. This was due to me being given a healthy dose of soy milk instead of the regular milk. Oh, I still do take regular milk, but maybe twice a day.

And I drank lots of milk. Maybe six to seven bottles per day. Sometimes even eight!

We were waiting for Daddy to get something over at the junkyard for his other car! And while waiting, Mommy decided to talk to me, and see if I would response. I thought Mommy was playing peekaboo, so I giggle my infectious little giggle, and give Mommy my toothy (or rather toothless) grin.

Naughty Mommy!

Mommy had been under the weather, she is still not well from the cold. Daddy is not home, he went to Singapore for some family business. And since Mommy is not well, it is better off that she is home with me. Though I know I could be a handful, I know Mommy would be sicker if she were to follow Daddy to Singapore.

So we stayed home, and Mommy had not updated my journal (and hers, and couple of other projects that she is undertaking is also put on hold for the moment) until today that is. Oh, she still puts her projects on hold, she just felt like updating my journal now since she found some photos that she liked.

Anyway, this was me and Mommy when I was couple of months old. I did not have much photos between getting out of the hospital and now since the camera went boink boink (Mommy said), we were in the process of getting a new camera then.

OK, back to the photo. We were in Edinburgh Castle, and it was in January. I was about six to eight weeks old in this photo, and I was very small. The winter suit dwarfed me, and I looked like a tiny doll, Mommy said. I had to wear that because it was very windy and quite chilly. I, personally, don’t really like wearing the winter suit, but Mommy insisted because she don’t want me getting sick.

The ticket price per person during that time was around £12 if I am not mistaken, and since I was (still am!) an adorable little baby, I get to go in for me. OK, little children under five get to go in for free. So if I were to go there now, until november 23rd, 2009 (next year!) I will still get to to enter for free! Nice!

See how the baby carrier dwarfed me? That was me in the hospital before going home. I left the hospital after about 10 days over there, most of the times under the blue lights inside the incubator. But other than that, I was OK.

Mommy was very nervous that day. During the last couple of days, the midwives had been patiently showing her the ropes. They taught her how to bathe me, how to feed me, how to change my nappy, how to make my feed (milk), and basically to reassure her that she would be OK.

Mommy was scared, she told me. She said that she was worried that she would mess up, after all, that was her first time taking care of a baby. She said that she was worried that she wouldn’t be able to be a good Mommy.

I told her that it would be OK.

And it is.

Continuing when Mommy stopped in the last entry. This was me around the first week that I was admitted in the Oliver Fisher unit over at Medway Maritime Hospital. Mommy showed this to me, and I asked her, “Mommy, are you SURE that was me? That was way too skinny, Mommy!”, to which she answered, “I am quite sure, sweetheart.”.

So anyway, I just love that onesie that Mommy put on for me that day. It was purplish, and it had a princess on it. Yes, I know. A princess onesie for a Princess (ie ME!). Mommy made a wise decision that day when she bought me that onesie, don’t you agree?

And if you noticed, I no longer had the tube going into my mouth, so I was feeding orally, or in baby terms, I used the bottle for feeding! Yeay for me. Though, truth be told, feeding through the tube meant express feeding, no work is necessary. But, I guess it was OK as long as I get my feed.

See the yellow sweater that I wore? Mommy bought it at the unit. They have people sending off sweaters that they knit to be sold for charity. For the unit, to be precise. Mommy thought that it was gorgeous, and Mommy bought a few for me to wear while staying there.

Mommy made a wise decision because it was quite cool inside the unit. I get to wear this one, and I will look (oops, Mommy will help me look) for other sweaters that I might wear.

Ah… See that tube going inside my nose? I had to feed through that, because I was too small to breastfeed, and not to mention my unwillingness to try. Poor Mommy. She was so worried because she wanted to breastfeed so much. But it’s OK Mommy, both of us did try. It was just not meant to be, eh?

My Mommy is really in her writing mood. She looked for some photos while I was at the Oliver Fisher NICU unit, over at Medway Maritime Hospital, Kent. I had to stay at the hospital for more than ten days, while Mommy stayed at the hospital for three days after I was born.

So Mommy had to come to the hospital everyday after that. She can’t sleep over at the hospital while I was in the unit because I was not critically ill, or very premature like some other babies over there.

While I was over there, there was another very little baby that captured Mommy’s eyes. The baby boy was born prematurely, and he weighs only about 500gm when he was born. He had been staying over at Oliver Fisher for seven or eight months then, and he was doing much better, though he still weigh less than I did during that time.

Mommy said that it was a real sobering experience. Though she was sad seeing me poked up like this inside the incubator under the blue lights, but she was so thankful that other than having jaundice and looking like a miniature skeleton (naughty Mommy!), I was doing alright.

I did say that it would be a little bit gory, right? That was me. Mommy just gave birth to me, and the midwife had not properly cleaned me yet. She cleaned me some, and then she gave me to Mommy, for she knew that Mommy really wanted to cuddle me first. And then some photos were taken.
You can see that I was not really happy because it was quite cool in the room. It was, after all, past midnight during winter time.

This photo itself was taken about couple of minutes after I was born. So Daddy took this around 12.07am on Tuesday morning, November 23rd, 2004. Mommy said that she don’t remember how loud I wail, or whether it was just a whimper. She only said that she was glad that it was all over. What was over Mommy?

But anyway, Daddy said that I did whimper, then I wailed to announce my presence to anyone who wasn’t paying any attentions! See, I was a Drama Princess from Day ONE!

Then the midwife whisked me away to clean me down, weigh me up, check on my lengths, etc etc. I was cleaned, weighing 2.48 kg, and at 53cm long, I was a scrawny baby at best.

But my Mommy said that I was the most gorgeous baby around.
So whom am to contradict that, kan?
After all, Mommy knows best.
Heh :p

Mommy told me that she would start by adding some photos in every entry starting when I was born. OK, I know some photos might be too gory for words, but Mommy said I was still adorable and gorgeous nonetheless.

I have to agree, after all, she is my Mommy.
And Mommy does know best, right?
Heheh.

DAD IS AT WORK.
Daddy is notty. He come to work late, so I jump and jump till late in the morning…and I go Z Z Z.

STOP! Let me think. Tia Baby is now a super sleuth and I’m on the case,of making myself very irritating to my dad. Well, so I think.

I got what I want, chocolates every now and then.
I got my Birthday Cake..(too early but mom bought another one too!)

which I can have LOADS of COFFEE… and I really mean at least 10 espresso frappacino VENTi.

Now..what I am gonna do? Irritate mommy..what else to do.

We would usually go to Giant if we wanted to get to Tanjung Dawai. Or when we passed by Sungai Petani and I wanted to play.

We would usually go play over at Tesco Sungai Petani because they have this play area with nice bouncy slides that I like to get on.

But anyway, we were waiting for Daddy and Mommy asked me to strike some poses. I posed this. I like singing.

Mommy saw this Chinese New Year decorations over at Chinatown in Singapore, and promptly forgotten all about it since CNY was a month back.
While browsing through her photo album for a current project that she is doing, she saw this and decided to put it up here.
She knew that I would like it because it is Mickey! But she felt that it is funny heh heh

This was me. I mean I was 14 months old when Mommy or Daddy took this picture. I was very happy because Mommy ordered salmon something for my lunch.

And Daddy also let me have some more salmon from his plate ! Ain’t that nice! See, I was smiling. For I was very, very happy!

Mommy said that I looked too gorgeous for words that she even thought of giving an adik for me! How naughty!

I am not becoming a little brat but since Nuffnang Singapore is not giving Tia baby even enough to have a McDonalds Happy meal, and so, since Ming being Singaporean… I might as well support someone else…

So,this is my last day supporting NUFFNANG SINGAPORE since they allowed Poker and other bad stuff which I have been penalised, you know the British and Singapore strict laws.

Oh yes. That was me when I turned two. That picture was taken on November 28th, 2006, so I was about two years and 5 days old!

I was waiting with Mommy for Daddy to come out of the immigrations at Seberang Jaya. We were using MakTok’s car, so Mommy had to sit at the back since there was no back car seat in there. Yes, kid’s should sit at the back mainly because of the airbag. But this car had no airbag, ok?

Do I look different then than now? My hair was shorter, right?

I am still as prettyas ever. My Mommy said.

Few days ago, Daddy were driving around with Mommy and me, and then we stopped for some nourishment because we were hungry.

We stopped by this Medan Selera by Pantai Seagate in Penang, and searched for anything good to eat.

Since Mommy don’t see the ikan bawal goreng panas that she was hankering for, she decided that plain nasi with curry (lots of them!), fried ikan temenung and sayur goreng chap cye would suffice.

Daddy was grander. He had some chicken, fish egg curry, vegetables and another thing that I don’t remember.

Daddy ordered Nasik goreng ikan masin for me.

Daddy ate his food while Mommy fed me her food for I loooovvveee curry!

By the time my food arrived, I was stuffed and had to ask Mommy to eat some of the nasi goreng, instead.

Thankfully it was not a hot day, or else Mommy wouldn’t want to sit out in the open heh.

Well, we were at Thank God It’s Friday (DURGH!) or TGIFridays two weeks ago and as hungry as it is, I was still not observant to the surroundings.

Well, it was nice at first…licking good, then I find it abit yucky. I started to be alot grouchy like the time when I was at Tanjung Dawai.

WHY? BECAUSE THE SALMON WAS ROTTEN!! I don’t care less about food, like my dad..who is the trashcan of the family… like Grover in Sesame Street, but then… never mind.

It was a thing on the bad people list….

One thing though.. Dad brought me to Ulu Legong and well, I had a swell of a time.

Next time dad, bring the ball OK?! Notty of those people at TGIF.. make me hungry

Just like many of the stories, my grand dad passed away when my mom was about 10. He passed away from throat cancer, something quite rare 20 years ago. Now, cancer is more rampant and the need of having proper term life insurance is more dire.

My dad has his own basic coverage, just in case he had an accident or get killed in the line of duty, being a Singaporean, on call at all times in the line of duty, even when he is already not in active service, he is still a soldier. These times, term life insurance does not just cover it. It does not cover Acts of God like Tsunami or Earthquake which plundered the region a few years ago on boxing day. Rather, having a separate insurance to cover the mortgage is just as necessary as a critical illness policy.

Lucky for me, my dad don’t smoke unlike my other grand dad who was a chain smoker. But as it is, his insurance premium has a high load of premium added because of the injuries he had sustained during operations and even SARS. Lucky that in Singapore, the DPS plan is there to cover the roof over my head.

It’s a scary situation but better be prepared than none at all, just like many Malaysians. It just cost a few dollars a month.

Today is New Year..and all I want now is for another Adik so I can teach them new tricks.

So, I am not sorry, because I was busy..OK Mummy?

So I want more sugar…more toys, more DVD for me to watch, more NCIS, More Peter Pan and more things to do and places to see. I know my Daddy is working so hard for this little comforts of mine, and now that since he lost the plot with paid posting with one company, but he found something else, called SMORTY. Smmoth as the ice cream from McDonalds and Yummy for me!

Ooh Just as well, I get more stuff for me. You see, I have a lot of things to do, now and ever. Very the Busy, Busier than a Bee, Watching Loads of Movie, and disturbing Mommy, who will then get angry, and then I annoy my Daddy….

My Mommy did do some blog advertising on her site before and I do have some paid stuff on my site, not much and not even enough to pay for my Nappy too and far from enough for my ICE CREAM. What I do know is that every little helps, like in Tesco or ASDA (kerching) shopping advertising.

Definitely I need more money, Coin Coin and more. I want my TOTS TV DVD and I do miss those rides which cost dad a ton actually (£1 each time) like Postman PAT, Balamory and stuff from the BBC. It’s Christmas too round the corner and I do want some presents too, so my dearest friends in Ireland *(Eireann), England, Wales and Scotland… please feel free to buy stuff from my sponsors so they come back and get me more goodies.

You know Britney Spears lost her custody of her children because of alcoholism? She really should have herself checked into the Shores Treatment alcoholism treatment center which I find that it’s sad alot of celebrity are addicted to something.

It’s either they are alcoholic or a junkie , just as Boy George, who is both, in and out of center drug rehab treatment for almost everything (so he may be clean now) but like EMINEM said, those magic fungus are grown on cow dung.. which makes you sung.

And so.. I have to end this all with something which you are all waiting for…what am I addicted to. It’s not CHOCOHOLIC but it’s worse off… and very expensive for my Daddy to keep me funded on this addiction, and my Mommy is also addicted.

Mommy want me instead to go to these innovative learning tutoring program with score with their summer program but I really doubt they will let me …because I have my tantrums and my tricks up my nappy. I’ll think of it first.

Poor Che Daddy and me have to endure the hot scorching heat in the car…with the Air Con on.. even if it meant so the beigduu for me… not cold enough…and drive and drive in circles.. just like Bobinogs and Show me the sign..show me a sign.

I love playing with my Daddy’s credit cards. And Mommy’s, too. There is just something about the thick, and shiny, and a lot of times these days, colorful, cards that makes my eyes grew wide, and got me all interested in it.
Is that the same with adults, I wonder? It must be, because people had been clamoring over which credit cards to get, and which offers this or that.
What usually is the criteria when people compare credit cards to get? Would they be looking for the best balance transfers, or would other extras like point would grab their attention?
Daddy said that sometimes credit card is good if you know how to handle it. But sometimes, it would be bad because you tend to overspend. I know that because Daddy said he had done that sometimes, too!
Maybe Daddy should be looking into prepaid credit card, instead, right?

Mommy was thinking of getting me a science kits, instead, at least she would want to get me this when I am a little bit older.

The first item that Mommy said that she would really like to get would be this Soccer Jr. Robot Kit. Why soccer? Because I love soccer. I love kicking any balls that I see around, and if I do not see any balls, I would try kicking anything that is not moving! Much fun, you can see, and I know Mommy would get me this when I am a little bit older, because by then I could play this kit with my friends.

And that would be another item that Mommy would like to get when I am a little bit older. That is the Environmental Science Project Kits , because this could be a project for me and my Daddy. We love the outdoors, but Mommy is not really keen. So this would be perfect for us to go gallivanting about, checking on water levels for that lake close by. Or checking on the pH for the soil outside, before doing any planting. That would be useful, and nice

I still have a little bit of growing up to do before I could play with these kits, but I can’t wait. Mommy can’t wait for it, too!!

To my Daddy
Yesterday was his birthday, but naughty Mommy had forgotton to remind me!
And I was a little bit naughty last night because I don’t want to take my sweet sweet for my chicken pox. I wanted to run around.
Daddy was angry, and then because I was crying so much, Mommy had to cuddle me, and then had to give me the sweet sweet herself.
But that was last night. I promise to be a little bit nicer today.
I would let you feed me sweet sweet today, promise!

Hawaii, anyone?

I have never been to Hawaii, but Mommy and Daddy plans to take me there sometimes this year. Or at least by next year.
Though Mommy and Daddy had lived in the US for awhile, they have never visited Hawaii. They know they should, but Mommy were a broke college student then, and later, there were nobody to go there with during her working years.
Daddy don’t want to go because he had nobody to go with, either.
So now, since all of us would like to go, we could then check out some Kauai Ecotourism Vacation Rentals for accomodation there.
And from the turtle watching, to island hopping, and lazying at the beach , I just know that we would have a wonderful time over there.
I would like to go on bird watching, or maybe a zoo, since I would like to take a look at those big animals and creatures, too
Hopefully Mommy and Daddy would make my dream come true!

I had never eaten strawberries dipped in anything! So I would not know whether it is nice or not, but from the look of it, it should be very very nice, yes?
On another note, I was wondering when Mommy and Daddy would take me on another strawberry scavenger hunt! Mommy said that she wanted to take us to Cameron Highland again, but this time around she would do some research and some asking around so that we would be able to go and take photos of vegetable plots this time around.
I can’t wait to eat more fresh berries. But I wonder why berries down here tasted different than the ones eaten at Cameron Highlands? Could it be because of the air?

Mommy found out about a program, Help My Teen – Schools For Troubled Teens, and to her, though she would hope that I would not need this help later on during my teenage years, but it is good to know where to look for help should I need it.
This site offers guidance and counseling for families with the objective of finding the appropriate help for them.
There are even special boarding school for troubled teens, and if that doesn’t help, there is boot camps and military camps, too.

That is an online clothing store. They carry labels like Traverniti So Jeans, Thomas Wylde, Frankie B, and Aristocrat. OK, so those are not what I am used to, but at least they would start to carry labels for toddlers like me! That got me really, really, excited, see

And, they also carry the label Cosa Nostra from Project Runway Season 3. Though I must admit that Project Runway usually falls ways after my bed time, I am sure Mommy had watched it, and knew (a little) whom I am talking about, yes?

So, now we only have to wait for the toddlers department to be opened, and then we can start shopping for me.

Yes. I am a very lucky baby. Why, I hear you ask. Because my Mommy and Daddy loves to take me around.
This one was taken over at Genting Highlands. We were there last week, and we had such a great time.
Mommy was naughty because she made Daddy took me on a ride.

Mommy found something interesting just now while browsing online. She found about used book swap for her, and for me! Well, good for her because she has hundreds of books, mix of fictions and self help, a lot of cook books, and some autobiography.
And how could this be good for me? Well, for one, I could swap Balamory and Bobinogs dvd! Now that would be so good because Daddy had refused to buy me more Balamory and Bobinogs dvd, because those are all that I wanted to watch!
And oh! Don’t forget! I could swap some Fimbles dvd, too! Imagine the money that Daddy could save if I were to swap those dvd instead of getting new ones! And oh, then Daddy could probably get me more new nappy!

Postnote: Daddy seem to be able to find it quite interesting this Hit Flip (aka SWOPEX) mainly because daddy want to trade his huge stack of computing books and the lot for my Balamory DVDs and Bobinogs (bobinogi in Cymru), FireMan Sam, Postman Pat and more.

I do think if he does not do so…I WOULD just trade mommy’s huge stack of novels which Ma’Tok been thinking of …well, dispose of them before I scribble my pen and more on them.

Mommy had not been feeling very weel since we got back from Singapore few days ago. She said her tummy’s acting up, and her head is not well, either. Maybe Mommy should have read some informations about Dual Action Cleanse that I found online for her? Yes, I should never, never, never do this if I am on my own. Usually Mommy would make sure that I would have nothing that I could put over my head if she is not around to watch.

Well, Daddy’s fault cos he leave his wallet and his pants all over the place and tiny fingered me can reach into those small places where dad for reach. And yes, all these coins I drop into Ma’Tok’s black vase, cos when it’s heavy and ching-a-lin-a-ling, I can get daddy to bring to the Bank to deposit into my Childrens Easy Access savings accounts and yes, it’s by the CO-OP bank which I love to put all my coins into. I get a nice purple color book plus some toys everytime I go to the bank. Daddy hates going to the bank because it’s on the High Street and he hates paying for parking and finding a spot to park too.

I know, I have been cheeky to my dad, because he uses the Co-Op to shop for our groceries and especially in the Scottish Highlands of Balamory. I just love it when I see the bee letter giving me extra dividends for me to have my Kinder Buenos. The staff is especially friendly at the co-op and the bank too. Well, I have to love the co-op because they give good rates on my kiddy saver, and I remember dad saying something like 8% per annum, even on his bank account. So, more coin for me??
