VENOM : Entire New Album Available For Streaming

VENOM's entire new album, "Metal Black", is available for streaming at MP3.com. Due in North America on April 4 via Sanctuary Records, the CD was mixed at the Townhouse Studios in London and contains 14 new songs, including "Antechrist", the demo for which can be heard at this location.

As previously reported, VENOM recorded a session for the BBC at London's Maida Vale studios, which was slated for broadcast on Radio 1 before the end of March. This is the second recording by VENOM since 1985, when they recorded four tracks for Tommy Vance's "Friday Rock Show".

VENOM recorded the following songs during the latest session:

01. Welcome To Hell
02. Metal Black
03. Antechrist
04. Witching Hour

VENOM have lined up a number of European dates during the coming months, with tentative plans to play seven U.S. shows late spring with DEVILDRIVER in the main-support slot.

Hate Eternal : Derek Roddy resign as a member

"Real life situations have forced me to resign as a member of HATE ETERNAL.

I can on longer afford the expenses of touring. I have put MUCH thought into this for the last several years and kept coming to this conclusion. I must be able to afford the quality of life that I enjoy, and thus far... touring in extreme bands has not allowed me to do anything other than go into a financial hole. Every tour has put me in financial burden. Now, I'm not complaining (because I never expected to 'make it' playing metal) But, I cannot continue to pay to do it either!!! Too expensive. Besides, I value the scene and would rather GIVE my music away than be insulted at the end of the year with a $600.00 royalty check! This, in NO WAY, means I won't be recording and releasing extreme music. In fact, you will hear more from me (as I now have the freedom to do what I want when I want.)

I wish Hate Eternal the best of luck."

Arsis : new album update

The writing for Arsis' next full length album is now complete. It will contain 8 brand new originals and a bonus cover song. Mike will be recording the drum tracks March 27-29 at Max Trax Studios in New York, and Jim will be recording everything else shortly after the band gets back from their upcoming tour with Necrophagist. The album will be out later this year in North America on Willowtip Records, and the rest of the world on Earache Records. More info to be announced in the coming months.

Necrophobic : news on new album

Swedish veteran death/thrash metallers NECROPHOBIC have posted this message on their official website:

"In the beginning of this month, the album ("Hrimthursum") got mastered, which basically means that it runs through a big equalizer and exportated to be able to create CDs and vinyls from a master recording. It was mastered at Tailor Maid Production here in Stockholm (Sweden), by Peter In de Betou.

A short correction: The studio we've recorded our album in is House of Voodoo Studio and nothing else."

Visceral Bleeding : Studio time been booked

Great news, studio time has been booked to record the follow up to 2004s success album "Transcend info Ferocity". Recording will begin early June and tentative release date has been set for September/October and will be followed by a full European tour.

The new album (as of yet untitled) will be the most devastating death metal unleashed by the band so far. Peter and Tobbe are working hard to finalise the setlist and so far the material is sounding great, fast and technical but this time with a larger range and more diversity.

Dim Mak : Releasing new album

Reformed New Jersey death metal band DIM MAK, featuring former members of the legendary RIPPING CORPSE and drummer extraordinaire John Longstreth (ex-ORIGIN, THE RED CHORD, ANGELCORPSE, SKINLESS), will release their new album, "Knives of Ice", on April 25 via Willowtip Records. Alan Glassman of Massachusetts based brutal death metallers GORATORY has issued the following update regarding the band's signing to Grindethic Records:

'So, its official now. There isnt any thing about us on there website yet because we are fat ugly and unimportant. As long as everything goes smoothly, i'll be able to post pictures of our signing bonus pretty soon. i'll explain that later though.

My cock felt like there was a knife shoved in it for almost an hour yesterday after i took a piss. It hasnt done it again since, but seriously, what the fuck.'

Vehemence : reunited and working on new material

Arizona-based melodic death metallers VEHEMENCE have issued a statement confirming that they have reunited and are currently working on material for their fourth full-length album. In a posting on their MySpace.com page, the band said, "Well, we had our 'reunion' show [Saturday] night, and it went over extremely well. Thanks to all that showed up. Nathan [Gearhart, vocals] also announced on stage that we are back together, and working on new material... this is true. However, VEHEMENCE is coming back on our own terms, without any label pressures.. We will be doing very little touring, if any, since we are pretty tied into our lives here in Phoenix. We also have other projects going on...

"Mark [Kozuback, bass], Andy [Schroeder, drums], and Bjorn [Dannov, guitar] are currently working on a new band [THE SYMMETRY IN CHAOS] with Connor Woods (ex-ABIGAIL WILLIAMS vocalist) and KC Bradham (guitar, ex-BRIDES OF CHRIST). Nathan also has his other project [HE WHO BINDS HIMSELF] in the vein of extremely brutal death metal. And John's [Chavez, guitar] band [CURSED IN BLACK] that will soon take over the world.

"So to whoever gives a shit, thanks for supporting VEHEMENCE... We hope to get some new tunes up for you to check out soon."

VEHEMENCE called it quits in early October 2005 after getting dropped by Metal Blade Records, the label that released the band's last two full-length efforts, 2002's "God Was Created" and 2004's "Helping the World to See". Three of the group's members eventually joined ABIGAIL WILLIAMS but quit a short time later.

US cult porn grinders LIVIDITY will release their new album, "Used, Abused, And Left for Dead", on March 21 via Epitomite Productions in the U.S., and May 5 through Morbid Records in Germany. The CD will contain 13 tracks, including 'No Time for Lube', 'Exhibition of Carnage', 'Bound in Skin', 'Phallic Beat Down', and 'The Cumming of the Trilogy (Pussy Lover Pt. 3)'. The album cover was created by the well-known Japanese artist Studio-Sho.

Decapitated : Martin rejoined the band

Bassist Martin has rejoined Polish technical death metallers DECAPITATED.

"After cleaning up mess in my personal life, military problems (army wanted to catch me, I almost got to the court with that) I'm back in the band," Martin writes in a statement. "I need fuckin metal more than anything else! By the way, all rumors concerning 'problems with label' were just rumors! See you guys on the road!"

DECAPITATED's new album, "Organic Halucinosis", was released earlier in the month on Earache Records. The follow-up to 2004's "The Negation" was recorded at Hertz Studio in Bialystok, Poland with producers Slawek and Wojtek Wieslawski and features artwork and layout by Seth (ROTTING CHRIST, PARADISE LOST).

Unleashed : News and festival update

Warriors !!!

Some bad news first, Anders has been hospitalized for about a week due to a lung-collapse. He's been through some serious pain and literally been to Hell and back.
A few days ago when I spoke to him he had a cord stuck into his lungs through the ribs for repair reasons.
The damn thing left a hole in his body that still hasn't grown together. That's Death Metal for ya' right there folks !!!
However, he is recovering and has now left the hospital with Doctors orders to keep still for a number of weeks. Obviously, he wasn't ready for Valhalla just yet........
We are now looking to find a temporary replacement only for the Metal Mania festival in Poland next week. We will keep you posted on how we succeed in doing just that.

The good news is that Unleashed is now confirmed for the "Bang Your Head !!!" Festival in Balingen, Germany on the 23rd of June. Together with acts like Whitesnake, Helloween and Y&T.

Unleashed will also headline the "Queens of Metal" Open Air festival on the 17th of June in Kleinwenkheim, Germany. We are looking forward to another deathbanging summer !!!

ABORTED : To Enter Studio In October

Belgian death metallers ABORTED will be entering Antfarm studios in Denmark with producer Tue Madsen in October to begin recording their new album, tentatively due in early 2007. "The songwriting is going quite smoothly," the band write on their web site. "We've had some time to work on the road and so far everything looks very promising, we got quite some cool surprises up our sleeves."

Amon Amarth : DVD title and release date!

It's been a tough job to piece everything together, but we're finally closing in on the release of our DVD entitled "Wrath of the Norsemen".

The release dates are:
Germany, Austria, Switzerland: April 21
Rest of Europe: April 24
USA and Canada: May 2

The 3-disc set will be released in a deluxe 10 page digipack with special gold-laminated slipcase - definitely something to look at!

Main body of the content is the Cologne show from last year - filmed with 11 cameras, this was the longest show we've ever played (23 songs!). Bonus footage includes interviews, behind-the-scenes of the DVD recording and other stuff filmed around the Cologne show!

Discs 2 and 3 feature professionally filmed shows from Summer Breeze 2005, the Metal Blade Rrroooaaarrr 2005 (a show with a really unusual setlist!), Wacken Open Air 2004 and the release show for "Fates Of Norns" in Ludwigsburg (Germany) in 2004!

Impaled Nazarene : Samples available

Finland's Dynamic Arts Records have posted samples for three tracks from the upcoming IMPALED NAZARENE album, Pro Patria Finlandia (see artwork here), due out through the label on March 22nd. The album will be released in North America though The End Records on April 18th and in Europe through Osmose Productions on March 28th.

Samples can be heard for the tracks 'Goat Sodomy', 'For Those Who Have Fallen' and 'Psykosis'.

Belphegor : back from Moscow

Well, we just came back from 4 very intense days. Our live debut in Moscow and Kiev were just a fukkin hellride, this shows seriously kicked our asses.
Thanx for support and hospitality to all the guys, that were involved to bring BELPHEGOR over. Especially to Peter, Alexey, Sergey, Dmitry and Gerd/Soundman. We visited the Rote Platz, Hinrichtungsstädte and the Kreml, the temperature was around -20 degrees celsius.

Also total death hails to the banging demons that showed up at the venues and screamed their lungs out. We can't wait to blast you all once again, total respect and see ya soon. Some images from the event in Moscow you will find here - click!
