Unfortunately before his untimely death, he did not make a valid “WILL” by not nominating a heir/ next-of-kin to this fund deposited with our bank. Late Eng. Wing Chiu Lee resided at Fourth Estate, 20 Bartholomew Close, london-EC1A 7QN.

Since after his death in 1990, nobody has come forward to our bank for the Claim of this fund, the account has been unserviceable over these years. My Bank authority has issued me a notice to contact his heir/next-of-kin to claim this Fund. I have done thorough auditing within the relevant banking records in our account system from 1990 - 2011 in order to find any of his relative which proved abortive. Also, information from the National Immigration Office states that Late Eng. Wing Chiu Lee was single on point of entry into United Kingdom. Despite all my effort, I could not get hold of someone related to this man.

In terms of our Bank's policy, this Fund shall be moved into a Trust Dormant Account in July, 2011 if a claim is not initiated within the next 45days since the account has been unserviceable.

The City of Woodstock received notice today that the Lakestone Development on Hwy. 92 (just east of Wal-Mart) will be blasting rock over the next few weeks as they work on the next phase of their development.

The blasting will begin today, August 8, 2011 and run through August 29, 2011, between the hours of 11:00 am and 3:00 pm. On April 8, the ASPCA Challenge began, giving facilities across the country a chance to compete for $300,000 in grants. Thanks to our many supporters casting their votes online, Cobb County moved through round one of the challenge and is now qualified for round two.

During round two, we will engage in new and innovative ways to adopt out more animals during August, September and October than in August through October 2010. To help achieve this goal, our challenge committee is planning a first-time event for Cobb County Animal Control.

On August 6, September 10 and October 8, CCAC will host on-site family-friendly adoption events on the lawn at the shelter. This letter is your rescue to participate in this exciting event.

If your rescue pulls an animal from the shelter and adopts it out during round two of the challenge, that adoption will be credited towards our challenge goal. Your participation in these adoption days will help CCAC close the gap to win this challenge and will help your rescue organization to draw in more families.

CCAC is truly dedicated to finding great homes for the animals that pass through our facility. This challenge allows us to move outdoors and try something new. Activities planned for these events include a raffle and free goodie bags given to each adopting family.

To encourage rescue participation, we will offer a discounted fee of $60 during these three adoption days for fully vetted animals. You can choose which month you would like to join us on the lawn with any animals pulled from CCAC.

Animal control is a family-friendly place with many great animals up for adoption. We are working toward an attainable goal to reduce the number of homeless pets in our community.

With our full-time veterinarian and two vet techs on staff—along with your help and support—we can make this goal a reality. Winning this challenge and the grant money means many new possibilities for our adoption program to help us find forever homes for the animals we serve.

Jun 28, 2011 - The first thing you notice while walking into Atlanta Silverbacks Park for the first time is the scrambled rainbow created by the facility's black, yellow, navy, purple (and so on) seats. Light blue seats and red seats, too, which matched the Atlanta Thrashers gear worn by displaced hockey fans invited in for cheap beers at a fun venue.

In the 10th minute of Saturday night's game, the one-win Silverbacks took a 1-0 lead on the league-leading Carolina RailHawks thanks to a strike by forward Matt Horth. It wasn't quite as improbable as the United States running out to a 2-0 advantage on Mexico two hours later, but you'll have to remember it was only the ninth goal the Silverbacks have scored since their rebirth.

The second thing you notice is the drumming. As they're an Atlanta sporting institution, the Silverbacks are required by city code to feature a drumline. While theirs is a volunteer corps composed of one kick and one tom, a full line would have to break a sweat to duplicate Section 109's total wattage.

Though Westside 109 stayed busy all night, my two favorite moments were their chants of "FC! Willie B!" and their helpful shouts up to the PA announcer after he announced a yellow card had been delivered to RailHawks defender Justin Krause.

"There were two!"

The voice of the Silverbacks sent a thumbs-up back to 109; he was still waiting to see Brad Rusin officially assessed with the other yellow. So interactive! You try going to a Hawks game and giving feedback to Ryan Cameron without aid of Twitter.

There were quite a few Thrashers jerseys in the house, though they tended to stick near the ground level watering hole, according to their kind. Still, attendance lagged behind the marks the team is regularly praised for by rival NASL fans -- considering the Gold Cup schedule, the night's maybe-drizzly weather and local club teams being on a break, seeing so many colorful seats didn't set off any alarms.

A discussion outside the park after the game: how can a team that plays this sport succeed in Atlanta, perhaps the weirdest sports city in the United States? My only real suggestion is the same as it is for everything else. Just have Arthur Blank buy some stuff!

Though some sort of Blank soccer project does appear to be in the works, that doesn't really help the city's current highest-level team. Attendance doesn't seem like a problem by any means, especially considering how new the team is, but more than a couple pro soccer teams have folded here before.

Selling the game to reeling Thrashers fans makes sense, though hopefully it didn't call to mind Kasim Reed's tonedeaf promise to replace the NHL team with something else. Both games are foreign to the Southeast, as once was every Southern sport except stock car racing. You'd think SEC East fans would fall in love with a sport that features four or five scores per game, but apparently a 13-9 football game sounds much more Dixie than a 3-2 soccer game does.

There are soccer fans in Atlanta. One thing people don't get about Atlanta: there are fans of absolutely anything here. A team like the Silverbacks is in the advantageous position of selling itself to fans of the game, not just the team -- it's cool for FC Willie B to sell patches of Premier League teams, but that doesn't mean you should sell Kobe Bryant jerseys, Atlanta Spirit.

A common exchange:

"Soccer will catch on. Give it time."

"People been saying that for 20 years."

Doesn't make it any less true. But around here, you pay your respects in addition to your dues.

In 1966, the Atlanta Falcons chose to wear red, black, white and gold in honor of the Georgia Bulldogs and Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. The Kennesaw St. Owls wear black and gold for the same reasons. Saturday night, the red-and-black Silverbacks put in work beneath a rainbow drummed up by a Georgia shower as sports fans without a team drank it all in.

Serious thunderstorms roar throughout city Atl areas

ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -
A line of severe thunderstorms roared across several metro Atlanta counties Wednesday afternoon, producing numerous thunderstorm warnings, thousands of power outages and scattered reports of damage.

At one point, Georgia Power Company reported they had 57,000 customers without power in Metro Atlanta from the storms. As of 10 p.m., that number had been reduced to 5600.

In DeKalb County, a homeowner on Dahlia Drive in Pine Lake was asleep in his home when a tree crashed on top of it. Fortunately, he was not injured but the home suffered major damage when the tree split it in half.

The Cobb County fire department reports lightning struck the Concord Baptist Church at 4494 Floyd Road Southwest. No one was injured, but the lighting strike caused a large hole in the roof.

DeKalb County authorities said trees have fallen on at least two homes.

Cherokee County authorities report a large tree hit a house in Woodstock, but no one was injured.

CBS Atlanta photographer Joe Avary reported some street flooding and heavy rain along Lake Avenue in the Inman Park area in northeast Atlanta.

A number of counties were placed under severe thunderstorm warnings but all warnings expired at 6:15 p.m.

The most recent severe thunderstorm warnings for northeastern Hall County, Banks County, Clarke County, Jackson County, Madison County, north central Oconee County, and northwestern Oglethorpe County expired at 6:15 p.m.

Earlier severe thunderstorm warnings for Barrow County, northeastern Gwinnett County, Hall County, Walton County, Banks, western Clarke County, Jackson County, western Madison County, and northwestern Oconee Count expired at 5:45 p.m.

Also, earlier severe thunderstorm warnings for Clayton County, DeKalb County, southwestern Forsyth County, east central Fulton County, Gwinnett County, Henry County, western Newton County, Rockdale County. western Walton County and eastern Spalding County expired at 5:15 p.m.

CBS Atlanta's Markina Brown says the risk of severe thunderstorms in and around metro Atlanta has ended, but more rain could be moving into the area later Wednesday or early Thursday morning.

The chance of storms will stick around through the weekend with slightly cooler temperatures in the afternoons.

Gov. Package and Oughout.S. Training Assistant Talk about Rental University Judgment

ATLANTA, GA (WABE) - Georgia's Governor and the U.S. Secretary of Education weighed in Wednesday on how to aid a number of charter schools affected by a recent Georgia Supreme Court decision. The court declared 16 charter schools created by a state commission unconstitutional.

Speaking at the National Charter Schools Conference, Governor Nathan Deal says he believes the situation will be remedied.

"I feel confident the members of the Georgia General Assembly will deal with the issue that has been presented to us. That is something we will confront."

Following Deal's speech, U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan joined the conference via satellite. Duncan said no part of the $400 million dollars that Georgia received in federal Race to the Top money can be used to aid the affected schools.

"We're holding state's accountable to the plans they put in place, and this was not part of the plan."

Duncan was also asked if there were other types of federal funding that could be accessed to help the charter schools. Duncan did not give specifics but he says he has met with Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed and Governor Deal about the situation.

"I heard the Governor speak earlier and he's committed to helping resolve this, and whatever we can do to help the Governor and help the Mayor get to the right answer here, we're prepared to do that."

Governor Deal's spokesperson Brian Robinson would not give details about the meeting. But Robinson says there is no federal money to assist the impacted schools, so the Governor will ask the state legislature to act.
"The governor is going to push for a constitutional amendment. This is an issue
that is a state issue, and it's one we're going to have to solve ourselves."

Four of the affected charter schools have been approved as state chartered special schools or by their local school boards. Ivy Preparatory Academy was also approved by the Gwinnett County School Board but chose to decline local funding. A vote on whether to give local funding to Cherokee Charter Academy is expected to take place on Friday. The remaining charter schools that were impacted by the decision could seek funding from the state's board of education on Monday.
