Energy Ministers from the Atlantic provinces continue to make progress on energy priorities and initiatives with regional significance.

Ministers from Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Labrador, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island met today, July 18, before the Energy Minister and Mines Conference in Kananaskis, Alta.

PORTLAND, Maine -- A Maine tidal power company is partnering with a Canadian project developer to break into a much larger market by installing underwater turbines off the coast of Nova Scotia, they said Monday.

Portland-based Ocean Renewable Power Co. and Nova Scotia-based Fundy Tidal Inc. plan to install underwater

Newfoundland and Labrador enforcement officers are searching for suspects after discovering a gillnet strung across Robinsons River in western Newfoundland.

The net held 30 dead and rotting fish, said Newfoundland Inland Fish Enforcement officer Jim Maloney.

On reading the news article about the Eastern Cougar being extinct, many New Brunswickers scoff at the idea and describe their experiences on Face Book and elsewhere.

Some believe this is a move to prevent cougar habitat from being protected! One wonders.
