If this track doesn’t get you moving, there is something seriously wrong. I can only imagine how this sounds on a large sound system blasting that woozy bass and that high pitched wood block lead line. It’s probably not a stretch here to imagine this song is destined to get played on cat walks across the globe. The energy is second to none and that hook of ‘I’m cut from a different cloth’ just kills. All around crowd-pleaser and now if we can only get the clubs back open to play this bad-boy.

Instrumentation and style reminds me of SBTRKT with its tropical percussive elements. The atmosphere and vocals are what captured me here. ANDRÆ’s vocals are mesmerizing and soulful. Production is deep and organic. Yes, it sound like I am describing a cup of coffee but it has richness and texture that is truly beautiful. This is one of the best songs thus for me. It’s been added to my Best of 2021 playlist here.

Talk about starting a track on the right foot, that’s exactly what Gianni did here. The beat starts it all off and blam we are into the chorus with a deep bass and the intimate vocals of Gianni. I love the sparseness of the this track which only includes the absolute necessity of instrumentation. Looking at his bio, he is actually from the land of the Beatles, in other words Liverpool – I would have never guessed that. The song is addictive and catchy, so listener beware.

I tend to like select covers of this song more then the original. The is one such cover since it takes a different spin of the tune without missing the heart of it. My favorite part has always been ‘Took an oath I’mma stick it out ’til the end’. I love the cadence and rhythm there. It’s effortless and so damn catchy. This version has a smoother deeper vibe to the track. The vocals are soothing and the beat is driving in the chorus.
Hard Lights has an ear for melody and this is evident when going through his catalog of music he’s produced. Hard Lights is a Producer / International DJ racking up massive plays on Spotify.

Bouncing beat and a punchy bass frame this track with Jake’s gruff rock vocals. Excellent hook in the chorus that really sticks. The track, style wise, reminds me of Miike Snow – this is high praise in my book. My favorite part is the pre-chorus where the bass-line steps down and he sings ‘I hate to say it out loud’. The captivating bass-line starts it off and is elevated with Daniel’s exquisite soulful vocals. The pre-chorus lift is perfection. The chords and his voice just gets me, like a solid Stevie Wonder track. Then we are treated to an addictive vocal melody in the chorus. This is how a well structured song should sound. This track has a killer chorus that is sticky sweet and is catchy as all get out. It has a smooth disco undertone to it with falsetto vocals and funky bass. One of my favorite tracks to date this year. There is no extraneous bits here, it’s all crafted to perfection. teeballpaul is a one-man-band based here in Los Angeles, hence the Southern California vibe you hear on the track.

This is one HOT track that is smooth but grooving. All the textures like the string stabs, rezy bass and laser shots support the vocals that are cool and sensual.
