Rosemarie is very Dear to my heart, I watched her as a child and admired her as her blossomed into beautiful, talented, confident and independent young woman.And now I am so proud to present to you Rosemarie’s commentary on women loving their selves and considering their selves Beautiful without needing outside validation. In other words, ladies I want you to love yourself so much and so intensely that no one on this earth can love your better. Only God is pure love, God’s love is everlasting and steadfast, God loved you so much He gave His only begotten son so you can have life and have it more abundantly. Now that is love. This blog relates to one of my American Idol favorites R&B singer Fantasia Barrino. Fantasia won the hearts of many Americans with her sultry sound on American Idol and has since released three albums, sold millions of records and starred on Broadway. To bring you up to speed, if you’re not already ahead of me, Fantasia attempted suicide in August 2010 after an affair with a married/separated man. She met this gentleman suitor at a retail telephone store and became enamored with him because he told her “things that no one else told her . . . that she’s beautiful.” I hope there was more to her admiration for this man other than that fact. If I heard Fantasia correctly, even after she won American Idol, became famous and starred on Broadway, no other man told her how special or how beautiful she was until this man came along? If he was the first to speak these words to her, today’s men need sensitivity training! Don’t you guys know that women are sensitive beings and love to be complimented? As I write this blog while listening to Fantasia singing “I’m Here” from the Color Purple wherein she sings that she’s beautiful, those words obviously didn’t sink in prior to her attempted suicide. Fantasia is actually singing about the very thing she’s been longing for but failed to give the appropriate attention. We are only as beautiful as we feel. We must learn to love and pay attention to ourselves. We must learn to uplift our spirits. We must learn to give ourselves the props we deserve which can be done humbly and without developing an arrogant spirit. If we look to hear certain words from others before reciting them to ourselves, like Fantasia, it may be decades before we hear what we should already know—we are BEAUTIFUL. No matter how ugly we may think certain physical attributes about ourselves are, we are all beautiful! Bullies in society who are insecure with themselves oftentimes put others down in order to uplift themselves. These acts can create low self-esteem, hatred, doubt in our abilities and a myriad of other adverse emotions which could possibly lead to mental instability—then the bullies would win! No two people are alike, even identical twins. Every situation is different. There’s someone out here for everyone and he or she will come along when the time is right! We must be patient and learn to celebrate ourselves before we pass that task along to someone else. Sometimes we can be our worst critics. We all have at least one thing about ourselves that we’d like to change or that we think isn’t beautiful. I may not like the corns on my toes, but my feet are beautiful because I’m blessed to have them! I may not like the gap in my teeth, but I love my smile. I may not like the fact that I hover taller than my beau in heels, but I step like an Alvin Ailey dancer when I rock stilettos. I may not like the extra weight that I carry, but I love that my doctors report that I’m a healthy human being. I don’t like the fact that I forget what I went to grab from downstairs after I’ve returned upstairs, but I love that I’m able to put words together in this blog and pen a poem or two. I despise the lone strand of black hair that grows on my chin, but I love the fact that it reminds me of my mom who used to grow the same strand, but gray, on the opposite side of her chin. I don’t like the fact that my hair color is making my hair dry as the Mohave Desert, but I love that I’m blessed to have enough hair of my own to comb. Know that whatever physical attribute you dislike about yourself, you are beautiful, there’s someone else that wishes they had what you have and someone will love you and every one of your flaws. Learn to love you, no matter what! Wrote a poem about it, wanna read it? Here it go :-) Love You! What to do when you run out of motivation

Today is the first day for the rest of your life!

Have you heard this before? When I heard this statement as a child I could not grasp the meaning; my small idea of life had no concept of the “rest of my life.” Now that I have been blessed to be sixty one years young, the meaning is completely clear to me.

Below you will find lessons and steps to do when you feel low, feel like a flat tire, or like lying in bed because you do not have anything to do or to look forward to doing. But before you read Mr. Anthony’s ideas and suggestions; here are a few thoughts of motivation from God our Father, who loves us unconditionally, who instructs us though His Word, the Bible.

Pick out one or two or three Bible verses and repeat
them fives in the morning when you first get up
fives time at 12 noon and
five times in bed before you go to sleep. Do this for 30 days and then give us your feed back of how standing of the Word of God has affected your life.

What to do when you run out of motivation

When you run out of positive energy and motivation, it’s a lot like a car running out of petrol. Instead of moving towards your destination, suddenly everything comes to a grinding halt.

In the same way that a car needs petrol to operate, you need positive energy to fuel your journey to success. Here’s the true story that taught me this valuable lesson…
I had just finished the hectic task of moving house and the final thing I needed to do was drop off some keys to the property manager before 5pm.
After battling heavy traffic, I made it to the property managers’ office with just a few minutes to spare. I parked in what I thought was a 15 minute parking spot and rushed into the building. I returned to my car no more than five minutes later to find a $107 parking ticket on my windscreen. I checked the parking sign and found that the area was a no parking zone between 4 and 5pm. It was 4.56pm!
Coming at the end of an exhausting couple of days of packing and moving furniture, this was the last straw! I was annoyed, angry and frustrated. As I drove home. my positive energy tank was empty and I was in a very negative state of mind.
I decided that I needed to get off the road and have a break so I stopped off at a large shopping complex. I walked into a Borders book store and browsed the shelves in an attempt to calm down.
I came across a book by Farah Gray who is a young man who grew up in the Chicago projects and went on to become a millionaire at the age of 14. As I read about his struggles and journey to success, I could almost feel the positive energy filling up my internal energy tank. I felt my anxiety and frustration melt away and after reading a few chapters of the book, I was in a completely different frame of mind.
I left Borders feeling completely reenergized and full of motivation which was amazing considering the way I had felt when I walked into the store. It really did feel like I had made a pit stop and filled my tanks with positive energy and motivation.

This Weeks Action Steps

1. Recognize that the positive feelings of joy, love, happiness and motivation are the fuel that drives you to success.

2. Understand that just like a car runs out of petrol, we sometimes run out of positive energy, especially when we are tired or facing stressful situations.

3. Learn to recognize when your ‘positive energy’ tanks are empty by examining how you feel.

4. When your tanks are empty, a great thing to do is to change your environment and go somewhere where you can ‘refuel’. Two of the best refueling stations are bookshops and libraries.

5. Fill your tanks with positive energy by reading an uplifting book or watching an inspirational DVD. If you can’t make it to a bookshop, visit the inspirational video page of this website.

5. Once you have refueled your tanks with positive energy, you will be ready to continue on your journey to success!

I Decided I needed to do something like I use to during my spare time, while watching TV. TV, does not require my full attention, so instead of switching channels, I decided to crochet small projects. So, I signed up for a Free Crochet pattern Web site.

This site offers so many projects that include recipes, craft projects as well as crochet patterns. Check it out, because you may just find something you would like to try.


LOOKS BETTER WITHOUT NECKLACE?

I am going to try to make this Rose choker, without the leaves and I think I will use off white for the choker / red rose for one and a pink choker with a fuchsia rose. What do you think about those combinations?

Rose Choker Author: Ilana MacDonald choke

Crochet Hook: E/4 or 3.5 mm hook Yarn Weight: (2) Fine (23-26 stitches to 4 inches)

Introduction: This is a pattern for a rose choker. It was meant as a surprise present for a friend using leftover yarn from a project she asked me to do. The rose pattern was taken from the "Brier Rose" pattern by Jennifer Fletcher from Anticraft: Knitting, Beading and Stitching for the Slightly Sinister by Renée Rigdon and Zabet Stewart, and the leaf pattern is the "Basic Small Leaf" from Nicky Epstein's Crocheted Flowers. The body of the choker is of my own design.

Materials List: 1. A small amount of baby weight cotton yarn in red and green (the smoother the better) 2. 3.5mm crochet hook, 3. A pretty button (about 3/4" in diameter) in a complementary color (I used a red button).

Finished Size: The choker band is a little less than an inch (2.5cm) wide, and it should be long enough to fit snugly around your neck. The rose and leaves can be any size you want.

Gauge: I got approximately 14 stitches per 2" (5cm), but since the number of stitches you begin with is dependent on the circumference of your neck, it's better just to go with that and not worry too much about gauge.

The Pattern

Chain. Stands for chain stitch

Choker (green) or your choice
make a chain ribbon the length of the circumference of your neck with an even number of chain.
row 1: sc in 2nd chain from hook, sc in each chain to end, chain 3, turn.

Tonight I addressed the American people on the future we face together.

Though at times it may seem uncertain, it is a future that is ours to decide, ours to define, and ours to win.

I know we will.

Because, after the worst recession in decades, we see an economy growing again.

Because, after two years of job losses, we've added private-sector jobs for 12 straight months -- more than 1 million in all.

Because, time after time, when our resolve has been tested, we, as a nation, have always prevailed.

Overcoming the challenges we face today requires a new vision for tomorrow. We will move forward together, or not at all -- for the challenges we face are bigger than party, and bigger than politics.

Yet the story of America is this: We do big things.

Just as the progress of the past two years would not have been possible without your hard work, we will not realize the agenda I described tonight without you.

So as we continue this great mission together, and we set out the plans for how far we can go, I need to know that you are ready to work side by side with me once more.

The last two years have been marked by unprecedented reforms and historic progress.

But there is much more work to do.

Moving forward, America's economic growth at home is inextricably connected to our competitiveness in the global community. The more products American companies can export, the more jobs we can create at home.

Instead of subsidizing yesterday's energy, let's invest in tomorrow's. It's why I challenged Congress to join me in setting a new goal: By 2035, 80 percent of America's electricity will come from clean energy sources.

It means leading the world in educating our kids, giving each of our children the best opportunity to succeed and preparing them for the jobs of tomorrow.

We must build a 21st century infrastructure for our country, putting millions of Americans to work rebuilding roads and bridges and expanding high-speed Internet and high-speed rail.

We must reform government, making it leaner, smarter, and more transparent.

And we must take responsibility for our shared debt, reining in our long-term deficit so we can afford the investments we need to move our country forward.

That is the vision I laid out tonight. That is how we win the future.

It is going to take a lot of work -- but I have no doubt we are up to the task.

Half a century ago, when the Soviets beat us into space with the launch of a satellite called Sputnik, we had no idea how we'd beat them to the moon. The science wasn't there yet. NASA didn't even exist.

But after investing in better research and education, we didn't just surpass the Soviets. We unleashed a wave of innovation that created new industries and millions of new jobs.

Dear Mrs. Donna,

Thank you for writing to express your opposition to repealing the health reform law. I appreciate you taking the time to contact me about this important issue.

Like you, I do not support repealing a law that will provide affordable insurance to over 30 million Americans who would otherwise lack it. Repealing H.R. 3590, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act would abolish important initiatives like:

o the small business tax credits that will make employee coverage more affordable;

o the $250 rebate to America's seniors who have fallen into the Medicare Part D 'donut' hole;

o the ban on insurance companies dropping people from coverage when they get sick;

o the prohibition on insurance companies denying coverage to children with pre-existing conditions;

o the ban on insurance companies placing lifetime caps on coverage and the ban on restrictive annual limits on coverage;

o the temporary high-risk pool that will provide immediate access to Americans who are uninsured because of a pre-existing condition;

o the requirement that health plans allow young people to remain on their parents' health insurance plan up to their 26th birthday;

o deficit reduction of $143 billion over the next ten years, and $1.2 trillion more over the following decade.

In the last year, I have heard from thousand of constituents on all sides of the issue. I have held live and tele-town hall meetings and talked to constituents - at neighborhood stores and events. In the end, I voted for health reform because it will bring coverage to 139,000 uninsured residents in the 4th Congressional District. In 2008, there were 2,200 health care-related bankruptcies in the 4th Congressional District caused primarily by health care costs not covered by insurance. Hospitals in the 4th Congressional District give away millions of dollars in care and over 14,000 small businesses are struggling to provide insurance for their employees. Clearly the system is broken.

The health reform law will immediately begin to lower health care costs for American families and small businesses. This year, small businesses that choose to offer coverage will

begin to receive tax credits of up to 35 percent of premiums to help make offering coverage more affordable. In 2010, adults who were uninsured because of pre-existing conditions gained access to affordable insurance. For those on Medicare, this law started to close the Medicare Part D donut hole in 2010 by providing a $250 rebate to Medicare beneficiaries who hit the gap in prescription drug coverage. This year, the law institutes a 50% discount on prescription drugs in the donut hole. The donut hole will be completely closed by 2020. New private health insurance plans will be required to provide free preventive care: no co-payments and no deductibles for preventive services. Also, the law will provide help for early retirees by creating a temporary re-insurance program to help offset the costs of expensive premiums for employers and retirees age 55-64.

There are many other important reforms. Individuals with pre-existing conditions can no longer be denied health insurance coverage. The law outlaws that practice for new health plans as well as grandfathered group plans. New health care plans and select grandfathered plans will allow young people to remain on their parents' insurance policy up until their 26th birthday. Finally, insurance companies will be banned from dropping people from coverage when they get sick, and they will be banned from implementing lifetime caps on coverage. Community health centers in the 4th District will receive increased funding under this law and increased payments to primary care doctors, nurses, nurse practitioners and physician assistants will ensure that we have enough physicians in the workforce.

The law does all of this and, according to the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office, reduces the deficit by $138 billion in the first ten years (2010 - 2019) and $1.2 trillion in the second ten years. Through a combination of efficiency, savings, and revenue raisers, this law is fully paid for. This law provides an overall net savings to the American people by reducing the deficit, improving their health, and increasing their productivity, which will boost the economy.

I worked hard to make this law the best that it could be. After hundreds of hours of debate in the House and Senate, I was proud to vote for this law to extend affordable health insurance to 32 million Americans who are now uninsured and to stabilize the system to protect those who are insured.

Teen Suicide; what is going on?

It hurts my heart to hear about our young people feeling so hopeless, miserable and helpless to the point of taking their own lives. Yes, life can be hard, confusing and too many times painful. But it should never be hopeless, never.

Although, I must admit there was a time in my life when I felt so miserable about my situation that I did think about it, taking my life. But believe me, that was a fleeting thought. Do you know why? Because I remembered who I was and to whom I belonged.

(Psalms 139:14, 17-18) I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well. {17} How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them! {18} If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand; When I awake, I am still with You.

The word of God can and will strengthen, encourage and motivate you, when you start to feel despair or start making life choices based on what a person has said to you.

Whose report are you going to believe? I am going to believe the report of the Lord.

This is the lesson we have to teach our children. The message that they were created for a divine purpose and the devil will use people to stop you from reaching your appointed destination.

Our children need to know that regardless of the circumstances of their birth, regardless of the way people are treating you, there is a special reason you are on earth and God needs you to fulfill your purpose.

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. (Jeremiah 29:11-13)

Words of the world (people) can help you to do better or they can cause harm to your spirit. But the Words of God are the only words you can believe in and trust.

God’s Word will give you the wisdom you need to focus on your life purpose and not on what people are saying or doing to you.

What is going on? Why do our children feel so lost, so alone and completely out of choices that involve living?

We as Christians have missed the boat when it comes to reaching and teaching our next generation about the love of God.

It is written in John 3:16 that: “God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” Jesus our savior was killed and He died so we can have the best life.

We have to spread to word to our youth that regardless of what is going on in their lives, God, their creator and Father has a plan for their future.

What I am trying to say, is everyone else is tell our children, what to wear, how to look, how to act and think; what are we telling our children? Where are our messages of love and acceptance?

Now, to answer the question, about homosexual teens; God is definitely against homosexuality. All you have to do is read…….

1 Corinthians 6:9-10 - "Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God."

Leviticus 18:22 - "Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable."

We know what God says and we also know how Jesus taught us to treat people, with love and kindness. All we have to do (in kindness and love) is share the word of God and let God’s power complete the work. Offer the information, offer the salvation prayer and pray for their deliverance. Once you have done this, you have your part.

1 Corinthians 6:11 - "And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God."

The bottom line is: each and everyone on the planet earth was designed by God for a specific purpose and plan. So, a course satan will try to stop God’s plans.

So, now you know you have a choice and that there is help available, what can you do now? Make a decision!

Decide if you want to stay where you are, (in misery) or you can chose to make a change and seek God’s purpose for your life.

Jesus answered and said to him, 'Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.'" (John 3:3)

Once you start on the path of life that leads you towards your God given purpose and assignment, nothing will be able to stop you from fulfilling your destiny. Yes there will be obstacles, hindrances and distractions to deter you, slow you down and try to keep you from reaching your goals.

But, when problems happen (and they will) just remember who is on your side, who is sustaining you and whose mission you are fulfilling. God, the creator of heaven and earth, your father; will help you and ease your way. This means God will give you the wisdom and the tools you will need to succeed and to complete the mission He has given you.

Hopefully, you have decided to try God and if that is your decision, here are the steps>

1. Ask God for help, talk to Him like you would talk to a close friend that loves and cares for you.

2. Get a Bible or Google and read Romans 10: 8, 9, 10 and verse 13.

3. Ask God to give you wisdom and to help you understand what these scriptures mean.

4. Now, read Romans 10: 8, 9, 10 and verse 13, again.

GOD LOVES YOU, SIN SEPARATES PEOPLE FROM GOD, JESUS DIED FOR YOUR SINS, YOU CAN RECEIVE JESUS NOW, AND KNOW GOD'S LOVE

5. Acknowledge in your heart that Jesus is Lord.

6. Believe that Jesus died for your sins and was raised three days later.

7. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord.

8. Repent of your sins and get baptized in the name of Jesus.

9. Now say the Salvation Prayer.

The Salvation Prayer is a way to communicate your faith in God and His promises. The Salvation Prayer is not a ritual that requires specific words or acts. This prayer is a way of committing your life to Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior. The following prayer is a guide for your first faith step.

"God, I recognize that I have not lived my life for You up until now. I have been living for myself and that is wrong. I need You in my life; I want You in my life. I acknowledge the completed work of Your Son Jesus Christ in giving His life for me on the cross at Calvary, and I long to receive the forgiveness you have made freely available to me through this sacrifice. Come into my life now, Lord. Take up residence in my heart and be my king, my Lord, and my Savior. If you decided to repent of your sins and receive Christ today, welcome to God's family. Now, as a way to grow closer to Him, the Bible tells us to follow up on our commitment.

Get baptized as commanded by Christ.
Tell someone else about your new faith in Christ.
Spend time with God each day. It does not have to be a long period of time. Just develop the daily habit of praying to Him and reading His Word.
Ask God to increase your faith and your understanding of the Bible.
Seek fellowship with other followers of Jesus. Develop a group of believing friends to answer your questions and support you.
Find a local (Word*) church where you can worship God.

*A Word church is a church where the complete, unadulterated scriptures are taught and followed. You will recognize a Word church by the lessons the Minster teaches, the sermons will be filled with a minimum of eight to nine scriptures that explain and supports the lessons.

This year in 2011, I will say “Good Bye to Belly Fat”, forever!

Yes it is hard to get rid of this thing that has been hanging around us for too long; but ladies we can get rid of the belly fat, "Through Christ Jesus who Strengthens Us."


This can kill us

How many times have we heard that our belly fat is killing us? How many times have we tried or thought about trying the latest belly fat diet? Too many times to count, because we knew we should do something to change, but we were not just at the point of being too sick and tried of being sick and tried. Well, ladies I am there or should I say I am here, AuntieDonna has finally reached the point of being sick and tired of being over weight, of looking at belly fat, of not reaching my goals and not having complete and total peace and order in my life.

LET'S GET RID OF IT!

Wow, I just saw Jennifer Hudson’s new body, on a TV ad, at first I did not recognized her and she looks great. You go Jen, I am so proud of you and I am looking forward to my new body shape and size too!

Sometimes when a life lesson presents itself, we reject it, or avoid it or ignore it because we are not ready for it. Or we do not want to make the necessary life changes to pass this particular test. I realized this while I was reading this “Say Bye-Bye Belly Fat” email from Dr. Oz’s, www.realage.com. I read this before, about three years ago in Dr. Michael F. Roizen, M.D. and Dr. Mehmet C. Oz M.D., book, “You: On a Diet, The Owner’s Manual for Waist Management.”

Belly Flat is unhealthy as well as ugly

I can only imagine that I would be three years ahead of my self improvement schedule, had I read the book (instead of skimming over it) and followed directions and stuck to the plan. My stomach would be flat and I would probably weigh my normal weight by now, if I had done it then. If I, could have, would have, should have, are words we use when we lament on our past. But then, three years ago, I was not ready nor did I have the resolve and commitment I have now. Now I am completely ready to lose not only the belly flat that has attached itself to me, but I am ready to lose all excess weight, fat and flab on and in my body.

With my new attitude during this New Year, I will not settle for the old myths of “middle age spread” or as you age you will gain weight because you are less active.

But, I am so tired of settling, of being comfortable with less than the best and wondering what would my life be like now, if I have did this or if I have done that.

Today, is December 27, 2010, it is 6:17PM and I am not going to wait until next year to start “The Bye Bye Belly Fat Plan.” I will start it as soon as I finish writing this blog.

“Procrastination is no longer part of my life; in fact I now know it is was a staunch enemy whom I have let keep me from reaching my highest levels of achievements and fulfilling my dreams.” Wow, that was just one of my Ah, Ah moments. Thanks to my friend in my mind only, Oprah Winfrey, I can recognize my deep insights and have learned to write them down before I forget them.

Let’s stay on track. I try to watch the Dr. Oz show as much as I can when there is a break during the day when I am not working directly with the children in my day care program. And Dr. Oz, always offers sound and beneficial health tips and this time I will follow directions step by step and be committed to improving my health and reaching my goals. This is a two week plans and I can stay focus for at least two weeks. And start over again for the next two weeks over and over until it is done.

The doctors have made everything so easy. In fact I am printing out the two week menus, shopping list and recipes while I am sharing my thoughts with you, right now. Don’t you just love modern technology, I know I do, it is so convenient and just makes my life easier. Oh, I forgot to mention that should you decide to check Dr. Or and Dr. Roizen, RealAge, web site, to get the full benefits, you will have to take a few minutes to answer some questions about your health and lifestyle. And then they will email you the results. This is will be a wealth of information and some of it you may want to share with your own personal doctor.

Wow, these print outs are more than I anticipated, but this is ok, I will punch holes in the sheets, use dividers / labels for the recipes and to separate the weeks and place everything into their own binder. I am so focused. Remember, I am living in a divine ordered life. No more excuses! I have used them all……..what about you?

Yes, my Dear Friend, what about you? Where are you in this conversation? Where is your mind set? What are your thoughts as we get ready to enter a new year? Are you ready to let go of excess baggage, weight and spending habit and relationships that have severed their purpose? If you are some will be easy to do and some will be a hard task to accomplish. But we wall must remember that as daughters of the Most High God, “We can do (and we do) all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens us.”

This Bible verse is taped across my bathroom mirror, my vanity mirror as well as my Focus Planner. (I will share this wonderful idea with you later) This promise reminds me of who I am and from where I get my strength. We all have to remember from where we receive our strength, our victory, peace, wisdom, protection and provision. We receive them from God our Father to whom nothing is impossible.

Luke 1:37: “For nothing is impossible with God….For no word from God will ever fail.”

Genesis 18:14: Is anything too hard for the LORD?

You may have thought the year 2010 was rough, but I think it was a preview of things to come. And we as Christians have to be fierce prayer warriors, active doers of the Word and to pray incessantly / pray without stopping.

“Pray incessantly” (Thessalonians 5:17)

And we also have to remember to stand in the gap for our country and our fellow citizens and our government. I almost forgot we have to pray for Israel, because the Word of God commands us to ….

Rosemarie is very Dear to my heart, I watched her as a child and admired her as her blossomed into beautiful, talented, confident and independent young woman. And now I am so proud to present to you Rosemarie’s commentary on women loving their selves and considering their selves Beautiful without needing outside validation. In other words, ladies I want you to love yourself so much and so intensely that no one on this earth can love your better. Only God is pure love, God’s love is everlasting and steadfast, God loved you so much He gave His only begotten son so you can have life and have it more abundantly. Now that is love. Ladies take time to learn to love and validate yourself more and more until you do not need or desire to hear someone whisper in your ear, “Baby I love you.” Please read my Rose take on our talented Fantasia and what happened to her because she believe she needed someone to love her…….. I told you before that I’m a reality television addict! This blog relates to one of my American Idol favorites R&B singer Fantasia Barrino. Fantasia won the hearts of many Americans with her sultry sound on American Idol and has since released three albums, sold millions of records and starred on Broadway. To bring you up to speed, if you’re not already ahead of me, Fantasia attempted suicide in August 2010 after an affair with a married/separated man. She met this gentleman suitor at a retail telephone store and became enamored with him because he told her “things that no one else told her . . . that she’s beautiful.” I hope there was more to her admiration for this man other than that fact. If I heard Fantasia correctly, even after she won American Idol, became famous and starred on Broadway, no other man told her how special or how beautiful she was until this man came along? If he was the first to speak these words to her, today’s men need sensitivity training! Don’t you guys know that women are sensitive beings and love to be complimented? As I write this blog while listening to Fantasia singing “I’m Here” from the Color Purple wherein she sings that she’s beautiful, those words obviously didn’t sink in prior to her attempted suicide. Fantasia is actually singing about the very thing she’s been longing for but failed to give the appropriate attention. We are only as beautiful as we feel. We must learn to love and pay attention to ourselves. We must learn to uplift our spirits. We must learn to give ourselves the props we deserve which can be done humbly and without developing an arrogant spirit. If we look to hear certain words from others before reciting them to ourselves, like Fantasia, it may be decades before we hear what we should already know—we are BEAUTIFUL. No matter how ugly we may think certain physical attributes about ourselves are, we are all beautiful! Bullies in society who are insecure with themselves oftentimes put others down in order to uplift themselves. These acts can create low self-esteem, hatred, doubt in our abilities and a myriad of other adverse emotions which could possibly lead to mental instability—then the bullies would win! No two people are alike, even identical twins. Every situation is different. There’s someone out here for everyone and he or she will come along when the time is right! We must be patient and learn to celebrate ourselves before we pass that task along to someone else. Sometimes we can be our worst critics. We all have at least one thing about ourselves that we’d like to change or that we think isn’t beautiful. I may not like the corns on my toes, but my feet are beautiful because I’m blessed to have them! I may not like the gap in my teeth, but I love my smile. I may not like the fact that I hover taller than my beau in heels, but I step like an Alvin Ailey dancer when I rock stilettos. I may not like the extra weight that I carry, but I love that my doctors report that I’m a healthy human being. I don’t like the fact that I forget what I went to grab from downstairs after I’ve returned upstairs, but I love that I’m able to put words together in this blog and pen a poem or two. I despise the lone strand of black hair that grows on my chin, but I love the fact that it reminds me of my mom who used to grow the same strand, but gray, on the opposite side of her chin. I don’t like the fact that my hair color is making my hair dry as the Mohave Desert, but I love that I’m blessed to have enough hair of my own to comb. Know that whatever physical attribute you dislike about yourself, you are beautiful, there’s someone else that wishes they had what you have and someone will love you and every one of your flaws. Learn to love you, no matter what! Wrote a poem about it, wanna read it? Here it go :-) Love You! If your waist is thin with anorexic skin, love you! If your breath is foul and others scowl, love you! If you walk with a limp and act like a wimp, love you! If the car you drive barely lets you arrive alive, love you!              Obama Will Triumph -- So Will America

    Before he'd served even one year President Obama lost the support of the easily distracted left and engendered the

white hot rage of the hate-filled right. But some of us, from all

walks of life and ideological back grounds -- including this

white, straight, 57-year-old, former religious right wing

agitator, now progressive writer and (given my background as
the son of a famous evangelical leader)

    this unlikely Obama supporter -- are sticking with our President.
    Why?-- because he is succeeding.

    We faithful Obama supporters still trust our initial impression of him as a great, good and uniquely qualified man to lead us.

    Obama's steady supporters will be proved right. Obama's critics will be remembered as easily panicked and prematurely discouraged at best and shriveled hate mongers at worst.

    The Context of the Obama Presidency

    Not since the days of the rise of fascism in Europe , the Second World War and the Depression has any president faced more adversity. Not since the Civil War has any president led a more bitterly divided country. Not since the introduction of racial integration has any president faced a more consistently short-sighted and willfully ignorant opposition - from both the right and left.

    As the President's poll numbers have fallen so has his support from

    some on the left that were hailing him as a Messiah not long ago;
    all those lefty websites and commentators that were falling all
    over themselves on behalf of our first black president during the
    2008 election.

    The left's lack of faith has become a self-fulfilling "prophecy"--

    snipe at the President and then watch the poll numbers fall and
    then pretend you didn't have anything to do with it!

    Here is what Obama faced when he took office-- none of which was
    his fault:

    # An ideologically divided country to the point that America was
    really two countries

    # Two wars; one that was mishandled from the start, the other that

    was unnecessary and immoral

    # The worst economic crisis since the depression

    # America 's standing in the world at the lowest point in history

    # A country that had been misled into accepting the use of torture

    of prisoners of war

    # A health care system in free fall

    # An educational system in free fall

    # A global environmental crisis of history-altering proportions
    (about which the Bush administration and the Republicans had done
    nothing)

    # An impasse between culture warriors from the right and left

    # A huge financial deficit inherited from the terminally
    irresponsible Bush administration.

    And those were only some of the problems sitting on the


President's desk!

    "Help" from the Right?

    What did the Republicans and the religious right, libertarians and

    half-baked conspiracy theorists -- that is what the Republicans
    were reduced to by the time Obama took office -- do to "help" our
    new president (and our country) succeed? They claimed that he
    wasn't a real American, didn't have an American birth certificate,
    wasn't born here, was secretly a Muslim, was white-hating "racist",

    was secretly a communist, was actually the Anti-Christ, (!) and was

    a reincarnation of Hitler and wanted "death panels" to kill the
    elderly!

    They not-so-subtly called for his assassination through the not-so-

    subtle use of vile signs held at their rallies and even a bumper
    sticker quoting Psalm 109:8. They organized "tea parties" to sound

    off against imagined insults and all government in general and
    gathered to howl at the moon. They were led by insurance industry
    lobbyists and deranged (but well financed) "commentators" from
    Glenn Beck to Rush Limbaugh.

    The utterly discredited Roman Catholic bishops teamed up with the
    utterly discredited evangelical leaders to denounce a president who

    was trying to actually do something about the poor, the
    environment, to diminish the number of abortions through
    compassionate programs to help women and to care for the sick! And

    in Congress the Republican leadership only knew one word: "No!"

    In other words the reactionary white, rube, uneducated, crazy
    American far right,combined with the educated but obtuse
    neoconservative war mongers, religious right shills for big
    business, libertarian Fed Reserve-hating gold bug, gun-loving
    crazies, child-molesting acquiescent "bishops", frontier loons and

    evangelical gay-hating flakes found one thing to briefly unite
    them: their desire to stop an uppity black man from succeeding at
    all costs!

    "Help" from the Left?

    What did the left do to help their newly elected president? Some of

    them excoriated the President because they disagreed with the bad
    choices he was being forced to make regarding a war in Afghanistan

    that he'd inherited from the worst president in modern history!

    Others stood up and bravely proclaimed that the President's
    economic policies had "failed" before the President even instituted

    them! Others said that since all gay rights battles had not been
    fully won within virtually minutes of the President taking office,

    they'd been "betrayed"! (Never mind that Obama's vocal support to
    the gay community is stronger than any other president's has been.

    Never mind that he signed a new hate crimes law!)

    Those that had stood in transfixed legions weeping with beatific
    emotion on election night turned into an angry mob saying how
    "disappointed" they were that they'd not all immediately been
    translated to heaven the moment Obama stepped into the White House!

    Where was the "change"? Contrary to their expectations they were
    still mere mortals!

    And the legion of young new supporters was too busy texting to pay

    attention for longer than a nanosecond. "Governing"?! What the hell

    does that word, uh, like mean?"

    The President's critics left and right all had one thing in common:

    impatience laced with little-to-no sense of history (let alone
    reality) thrown in for good measure. Then of course there were the

    white, snide know-it-all commentators/talking heads who just
    couldn't imagine that maybe, just maybe they weren't as smart as
    they thought they were and certainly not as smart as their
    president. He hadn't consulted them, had he? So he must be wrong!

    The Obama critics' ideological ideas defined their idea of reality

    rather than reality defining their ideas-say, about what is
    possible in one year in office after the hand that the President
    had been dealt by fate, or to be exact by the American idiot nation

    that voted Bush into office. twice!

    Meanwhile back in the reality-based community - in just 12 short
    months -- President Obama:

    #Continued to draw down the misbegotten war in Iraq
    (But that wasn't good enough for his critics)

    #Thoughtfully and decisively picked the best of several bad choices

    regarding the war in Afghanistan
    (But that wasn't good enough for his critics)

    #Gave a major precedent-setting speech supporting gay rights
    (But that wasn't good enough for his critics)

    #Restored America 's image around the globe
    (But that wasn't good enough for his critics)

    #Banned torture of American prisoners
    (But that wasn't good enough for his critics)

    #Stopped the free fall of the American economy
    (But that wasn't good enough for his critics)

    #Put the USA squarely back in the bilateral international community
    (But that wasn't good enough for his critics)

    #Put the USA squarely into the middle of the international effort
    to halt global warming
    (But that wasn't good enough for his critics)

    #Stood up for educational reform
    (But that wasn't good enough for his critics)

    #Won a Nobel peace prize
    (But that wasn't good enough for his critics)

    #Moved the trial of terrorists back into the American judicial
    system of checks and balances
    (But that wasn't good enough for his critics)

    #Did what had to be done to start the slow, torturous and almost
    impossible process of health care reform that 7 presidents had
    failed to even begin
    (But that wasn't good enough for his critics)

    #Responded to hatred from the right and left with measured good
    humor and patience
    (But that wasn't good enough for his critics)

    #Stopped the free fall of job losses
    (But that wasn't good enough for his critics)

    #Showed immense personal courage in the face of an armed and
    dangerous far right opposition that included the sort of disgusting

    people that show up at public meetings carrying loaded weapons and

    carrying Timothy McVeigh-inspired signs about the "blood of
    tyrants" needing to "water the tree of liberty".
    (But that wasn't good enough for his critics)

    #Showed that he could not only make the tough military choices but

    explain and defend them brilliantly
    (But that wasn't good enough for his critics)

    Other than those "disappointing" accomplishments -- IN ONE YEAR --

    President Obama "failed"! Other than that he didn't "live up to
    expectations"!

    Who actually has failed...

    ...are the Americans that can't see the beginning of a miracle of
    national rebirth right under their jaded noses. Who failed are the

    smart ass ideologues of the left and right who began rooting for
    this President to fail so that they could be proved right in their

    dire and morbid predictions. Who failed are the movers and shakers

    behind our obscenely dumb news cycles that have turned "news" into

    just more stupid entertainment for an entertainment-besotted
    infantile country.

    Here's the good news: President Obama is succeeding without the
    help of his lefty "supporters" or hate-filled Republican
detractors!

    The Future Looks Good

    After Obama has served two full terms, (and he will), after his
    wisdom in moving deliberately and cautiously with great subtlety on

    all fronts -- with a canny and calculating eye to the possible
    succeeds, (it will), after the economy is booming and new industries

    are burgeoning, (they will be), after the doomsayers are all proved

    not just wrong but silly: let the record show that not all
    Americans were panicked into thinking the sky was falling.

    Just because we didn't get everything we wanted in the first short

    and fraught year Obama was in office not all of us gave up. Some of

    us stayed the course. And we will be proved right.

God is Giving Us Another Chance

to try again and to get it right.

As this year ends we should make plans for 2011 and the rest of our lives. There are several things we need to do first.

1. Find our to do list for 2010 (and check off the things we did accomplish)

2. Take time to reflect on what we really need to do to change and improve our lives.

3. Decide which area of improvement you need to improve or change the most. Which one or ones are the most pressing and needs to be done right now.

4. Then, set realistic goals and formulas to reach each major goals.

For an example, I have four major goals for 2011.

My Four Major Goals

Spiritual, to pray in the spirit for one hour daily, pray morning, noon and night.

Health, take blood pressure meds everyday at the same time and to walk for at least 30 minutes a day everyday, get eight hours of sleep daily, get back to my normal weight.

Financial, record/write down every dime I spend. I learned about this habit in the Millionaire Next Door, by Thomas J. Stanley. And save, save, save.

Divine Order in my life, clean my room and organize my desk every PM, write a daily to do list in a notebook and stay on track, file papers the first time I have them in my hands and go to bed the same time every night with a bed time routine.

The Plan to reach my Goals

Spiritual:

· Pray in the spirit during my daily walk.

· Pray in spirit while in the shower.

· Pray while I am organizing my desk and room in the PM

· Pray in the spirit during my bedtime routine.

· Ask God for daily prayer partners.

Health

· Set phone alarm to take meds 5 minutes before 6 AM prayer, have water and meds ready the night before.

· Walk immediately after Dr. Creflo Dollar, (7:00AM) Mon-Saturday.

· Juice / salad diet at least two weeks each month.

· Make sure I drink green/black/white tea daily and drink my eight glasses of water before six PM.

· Get rid of middle flab by during crunches while watching Dr. Dollar, Monday-Friday. Our belly fat is killing us.

· Mediate daily for reduce stress. Dr. Oz says this will help

Financial

· Keep complete records of income and expenses. Write down everything.

· Resist temptation and do not buy anything I do not need.

· Stay focus on short range goals / mid year goals.

· Increase my gift basket business to increase my savings.

· Build or have built gift basket web site by the end February.

Divine Order in my life,

No more chaos, no more missed or forgotten appointments, no more last minute hurry up and finish before the deadline headaches.

· Keep expense receipts in a monthly folder.

· Go to bed every night by ten o’clock.

· Clean and organize my desk and room every night.

· Prepare water and meds at night.

· Have my walking clothes ready to put on in the morning for my AM prayer walk.

· Lay out my clothes and everything else I need for the next day.

· Keep up with my running to do list, include goals deadline timelines and work on it daily.

This is enough for now, it is time to wrap gifts andd get ready for bed,

In other words, ladies I want you to love yourself so much and so intensely that no one on this earth can love your better. I told you before that I’m a reality television addict! This blog relates to one of my American Idol favorites R&B singer Fantasia Barrino. Fantasia won the hearts of many Americans with her sultry sound on American Idol and has since released three albums, sold millions of records and starred on Broadway. To bring you up to speed, if you’re not already ahead of me, Fantasia attempted suicide in August 2010 after an affair with a married/separated man. She met this gentleman suitor at a retail telephone store and became enamored with him because he told her “things that no one else told her . . . that she’s beautiful.” I hope there was more to her admiration for this man other than that fact. If I heard Fantasia correctly, even after she won American Idol, became famous and starred on Broadway, no other man told her how special or how beautiful she was until this man came along? If he was the first to speak these words to her, today’s men need sensitivity training! Don’t you guys know that women are sensitive beings and love to be complimented? As I write this blog while listening to Fantasia singing “I’m Here” from the Color Purple wherein she sings that she’s beautiful, those words obviously didn’t sink in prior to her attempted suicide. Fantasia is actually singing about the very thing she’s been longing for but failed to give the appropriate attention. We are only as beautiful as we feel. We must learn to love and pay attention to ourselves. We must learn to uplift our spirits. We must learn to give ourselves the props we deserve which can be done humbly and without developing an arrogant spirit. If we look to hear certain words from others before reciting them to ourselves, like Fantasia, it may be decades before we hear what we should already know—we are BEAUTIFUL. No matter how ugly we may think certain physical attributes about ourselves are, we are all beautiful! Bullies in society who are insecure with themselves oftentimes put others down in order to uplift themselves. These acts can create low self-esteem, hatred, doubt in our abilities and a myriad of other adverse emotions which could possibly lead to mental instability—then the bullies would win! No two people are alike, even identical twins. Every situation is different. There’s someone out here for everyone and he or she will come along when the time is right! We must be patient and learn to celebrate ourselves before we pass that task along to someone else. Sometimes we can be our worst critics. We all have at least one thing about ourselves that we’d like to change or that we think isn’t beautiful. I may not like the corns on my toes, but my feet are beautiful because I’m blessed to have them! I may not like the gap in my teeth, but I love my smile. I may not like the fact that I hover taller than my beau in heels, but I step like an Alvin Ailey dancer when I rock stilettos. I may not like the extra weight that I carry, but I love that my doctors report that I’m a healthy human being. I don’t like the fact that I forget what I went to grab from downstairs after I’ve returned upstairs, but I love that I’m able to put words together in this blog and pen a poem or two. I despise the lone strand of black hair that grows on my chin, but I love the fact that it reminds me of my mom who used to grow the same strand, but gray, on the opposite side of her chin. I don’t like the fact that my hair color is making my hair dry as the Mohave Desert, but I love that I’m blessed to have enough hair of my own to comb. Know that whatever physical attribute you dislike about yourself, you are beautiful, there’s someone else that wishes they had what you have and someone will love you and every one of your flaws. Learn to love you, no matter what! Wrote a poem about it, wanna read it? Here it go :-) Love You! If your waist is thin with anorexic skin, love you! If your breath is foul and others scowl, love you! If you walk with a limp and act like a wimp, love you! If the car you drive barely lets you arrive alive, love you! If the words you think disappear when you blink, love you! If being broke is no joke and you’ve lost all hope, love you! If your hair is coarse and there’s no other recourse, love you! If you’re short and small but wish to be large and tall, love you! If scholars affirm you’re astute but ignorance refutes, love you! If you can’t cook a lick but microwaving does the trick, love you! If the smile on your face is jack-o-lanterned or braced, love you! If your legs scrape together and are rough like leather, love you! O.k., so what! I’m having another reality television moment. I told you before that I’m a reality television addict! This blog relates to one of my American Idol favorites R&B singer Fantasia Barrino.
Fantasia won the hearts of many Americans with her sultry sound on American Idol and has since released three albums, sold millions of records and starred on Broadway. To bring you up to speed, if you’re not already ahead of me, Fantasia attempted suicide in August 2010 after an affair with a married/separated man.

She met this gentleman suitor at a retail telephone store and became enamored with him because he told her “things that no one else told her . . . that she’s beautiful.”

I hope there was more to her admiration for this man other than that fact. If I heard Fantasia correctly, even after she won American Idol, became famous and starred on Broadway, no other man told her how special or how beautiful she was until this man came along?

If he was the first to speak these words to her, today’s men need sensitivity training! Don’t you guys know that women are sensitive beings and love to be complimented? As I write this blog while listening to Fantasia singing “I’m Here” from the Color Purple wherein she sings that she’s beautiful, those words obviously didn’t sink in prior to her attempted suicide.

Fantasia is actually singing about the very thing she’s been longing for but failed to give the appropriate attention. We are only as beautiful as we feel. We must learn to love and pay attention to ourselves.

We must learn to uplift our spirits. We must learn to give ourselves the props we deserve which can be done humbly and without developing an arrogant spirit. If we look to hear certain words from others before reciting them to ourselves, like Fantasia, it may be decades before we hear what we should already know—we are BEAUTIFUL.

No matter how ugly we may think certain physical attributes about ourselves are, we are all beautiful! Bullies in society who are insecure with themselves oftentimes put others down in order to uplift themselves. These acts can create low self-esteem, hatred, doubt in our abilities and a myriad of other adverse emotions which could possibly lead to mental instability—then the bullies would win!

No two people are alike, even identical twins. Every situation is different. There’s someone out here for everyone and he or she will come along when the time is right! We must be patient and learn to celebrate ourselves before we pass that task along to someone else. Sometimes we can be our worst critics. We all have at least one thing about ourselves that we’d like to change or that we think isn’t beautiful. I may not like the corns on my toes, but my feet are beautiful because I’m blessed to have them! I may not like the gap in my teeth, but I love my smile. I may not like the fact that I hover taller than my beau in heels, but I step like an Alvin Ailey dancer when I rock stilettos.

I may not like the extra weight that I carry, but I love that my doctors report that I’m a healthy human being. I don’t like the fact that I forget what I went to grab from downstairs after I’ve returned upstairs, but I love that I’m able to put words together in this blog and pen a poem or two.

I despise the lone strand of black hair that grows on my chin, but I love the fact that it reminds me of my mom who used to grow the same strand, but gray, on the opposite side of her chin. I don’t like the fact that my hair color is making my hair dry as the Mohave Desert, but I love that I’m blessed to have enough hair of my own to comb.

Know that whatever physical attribute you dislike about yourself, you are beautiful, there’s someone else that wishes they had what you have and someone will love you and every one of your flaws. Learn to love you, no matter what! Wrote a poem about it, wanna read it? Here it go :-)

Why are so many teens and women trying to change their appearance? Why are we spending billion of dollars trying to change our hair, color, face and body shape? Why are we falling the hype, “Blonds have more fun”, or you have to be thin to be beautiful? What do you think would happen if we spent all of this time and effort, not to mention money on inner self improvement, learning to love and appreciate our selves or discovering and developing our talents?

A Letter To America

America as you already know our country is in dire straights, dire straights as in bad shape।

1. There are too many unemployed Americans, too many American families who are homeless or living from check to check, too many Americans do not have health insurance and too many of our children not graduating from high school and not being prepared to become productive citizens।

2. Yes, this is a very sad situation but it is not an impossible situation. Starting today when can the working Americans can making history, we can change history and rewrite so we all can experience an happy ending and turn the direction our country around so we can start heading down the path of recovery as well as renewal;

3. We, the working Americans can do what needs to be done, so everyone have and live the American dream.

4. America, please realize and remember we are not are not helpless, we have the power to change our country, to create prosperity and to live in peace.

Working American people have overcome adversity in the past and we can do it again and we can start doing it now.

RIGHT now.

But, there are a few things I have to share with you first before we begin.

First things firsts we have to become a nation untied, pulling and working together.

You know how the saying goes, untied we stand and divided we fall, well right now we are divided and this has to stop.

1. We all have to get rid of our fears and prejudices, we have to let them go now and accept one another. We are in this sinking ship together, so we are either going to work together to make improvements or we can continue to blame blame and sikn together.

2. Please realize this is enough for everyone and we have to stop the blame game and start working together to set things straight.

3. And last but definitely not least we have to stop letting politicians (particularly the Republican Party) divide us, we are all in this sinking ship together.

The Politicians are the ones who created this mess in the first place

and now instead of help us and creating solutions to help us get of this mess,

they are busy stirring up strife, pointing fingers and playing the blame game. It is time to end this nonsense today.

Focusing on blaming immigrants will not solve our problems,

Blaming the president is not going to help us get what we need.

Listening to talk shows spread lies and miss-information will not put food on the table, pay our bills or educate our children.

Starting today, if someone is not offering solutions or offering sound sensible positive ideas to get people back to work into decent paying job, creating a program so the millions upon millions of people who do not have health insurance can receive the needed help or come up with answers as to how we can educate our children to compete and win in the global market,

Then we do not need to waste out time listening to them.

Instead we need to email, call, contact any and everyway possible our Washington representatives,

And tell them, we are sick and tire of being poor, broke, out of work and sick and tired. We want and demand results, they have two choices,

One…work together as one body with our President for America or

Two…. Look for another job.

We are paying them, they work for us, not the lobbyists, not big businesses or the financial industry, but for us working Americans who voted and place them into office.

We have to tell congress and tell them over and over until they realize we are serious. Tell congress we are going to listen anymore to their empty excuses or continue to watch them point fingers and play the blame game. We need and demand results. If we were to go to work and not produce what we were hire for…we would lose our jobs. So why are they different?

We are paying them enough so they can live the good life. We want and deserve the same.

It is as simple as that and we must be consistent, that means emails, faxes and phone calls daily, since a lot of us now have extra time on our hands

And it also means we must get every one we know involved in this turn around.

What can you do in the next 100 days?

Half of the year has past and we still have time to reach our goals

Set goals for the next 100 days; tack them and you will be surprised as to

what you can accomplish. But there are a few things we must discuss before we get started.

First: Words are Powerful, be careful of what comes out of your mouth, speak only positive

affirmations over yourself and about yourself.

Second: Remove all negative thoughts and images about yourself and what you can do. Remove

negative people from your life or at least eliminate their negative effects on you and your

efforts. Start planting only positive seeds into your life and water them daily with your positive

thoughts, visualizations as well as your affirmations.

Third: Write down in detail what you want to accomplish and the due date for your goals.

Image that you are writing your own life story and you are the author and developer of your life

for the next 100 Days, so be very specific. Picture yourself as an artist and you are working

with a fresh new clean canvas, a canvas (starting today) free of past doubts, fears, setbacks,

excuses and hindrances.

Fourth: Do it now, no more putting it off, no more procrastinating. Make a commitment to

yourself and keep it, because now you are ready to do what you need to do to change your life.

Our Spare Time

I Decided I needed to do something like I use to during my spare time, while watching TV. TV, does not require my full attention, so instead of switching channels, I decided to crochet small projects. So, I signed up for a Free Crochet pattern Web site.

This site offers so many projects that include recipes, craft projects as well as crochet patterns. Check it out, because you may just find something you would like to try.

Theresa has a gang of cute hat patterns and how to lessons for you to watch and learn from.

There is just one more thing I forgot to say, hobbies like knitting or crocheting or sign language helps to keep our fingers limber and lose.

Materials List: 1. A small amount of baby weight cotton yarn in red and green (the smoother the better) 2. 3.5mm crochet hook, 3. A pretty button (about 3/4" in diameter) in a complementary color (I used a red button).

Finished Size: The choker band is a little less than an inch (2.5cm) wide, and it should be long enough to fit snugly around your neck. The rose and leaves can be any size you want.

Gauge: I got approximately 14 stitches per 2" (5cm), but since the number of stitches you begin with is dependent on the circumference of your neck, it's better just to go with that and not worry too much about gauge.

We as Christians have missed the boat when it comes to reaching and teaching our next generation about the love of God.

It is written in John 3:16 that: “God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” Jesus our savior was killed and He died so we can have the best life.

We have to spread to word to our youth that regardless of what is going on in their lives, God, their creator and Father has a plan for their future.

What I am trying to say, is everyone else is tell our children, what to wear, how to look, how to act and think; what are we telling our children? Where are our messages of love and acceptance?

Yes it is hard to get rid of this thing that has been hanging around us for too long; but ladies we can get rid of the belly fat, "Through Christ Jesus who Strengthens Us."

Wow, I just saw Jennifer Hudson’s new body, on a TV ad, at first I did not recognized her and she looks great. You go Jen, I am so proud of you and I am looking forward to my new body shape and size too!

With my new attitude during this New Year, I will not settle for the old myths of “middle age spread” or as you age you will gain weight because you are less active.

But, I am so tired of settling, of being comfortable with less than the best and wondering what would my life be like now, if I have did this or if I have done that.

Today, is December 27, 2010, it is 6:17PM and I am not going to wait until next year to start “The Bye Bye Belly Fat Plan.” I will start it as soon as I finish writing this blog.

You may have thought the year 2010 was rough, but I think it was a preview of things to come. And we as Christians have to be fierce prayer warriors, active doers of the Word and to pray incessantly / pray without stopping.
