Since We Were Kids had added a new product to their already great product range, the Psi Bands. Psi Bands, pronounced “Sigh Bands”, are acupressure wristbands for individuals who suffer from nausea. That makes this product great for morning sickness, motion/travel sickness and even people undergoing chemotherapy.

One of our reviewers travels a lot for work and suffers quite bad motion sickness; this was just the product for her.

‘I have always had the feeling of nausea while travelling, even on short distances. On some days I have felt so bad I have taken travel sickness tablets and that’s generally travelling from Brisbane to the Gold Coast, then I have to get back again. Because of these reasons I was given the Psi Bands to try.

I have been using this product, when required, for two weeks now and not once have I felt nausea and therefore not had to take any travel
sickness tablets. The best test I gave this product was travelling 2 hours to Kingscliff, NSW. Usually this length of driving would require me to stop at least once due to feeling queasy and needed to steady my feet, so to speak. On this occasion while using the Psi Bands I didn’t get nauseous nor did I need to stop.

I found the Psi Bands to be super beneficial for me because they totally stopped my nausea feeling and being reusable they saved me money by not having to buy packets of tablets. If you are currently suffering from any form of nausea I would definitely suggest giving the Psi Bands a go. They were comfortable to wear and were a great relief for me!’

Most parents with a baby or toddler would be using wipes to clean their little bottoms. Well, we have been given some ‘healthy’ wipes to review this week. When I say ‘healthy’ I mean more pure for the children and more positive for the environment. Thanks to Ethman we were sent some natural and herbal Jackson Reece Kinder by Nature, baby wipes along with some Jackson Reece Kinder by Nature, natural flushable wipes.

All these wipes are 100% biodegradable, compostable and chlorine free. Whether you choose scented or unscented wipes only the purest, natural ingredients are used making these suitable for children with eczema and sensitive skin. (99% of all the ingredients used are derived from vegetable or plant extracts). The wipes are all hypoallergenic and dermatologically approved and have never been tested on animals.

Reviewer 1 ~ ‘I was pleasantly surprised by these Jackson Reece baby wipes. I was given a range of three different products from Ethman to trial; Unscented and fragranced baby wipes plus a set of flushable wipes.

I was so impressed; the wipes themselves are very soft but are still strong. I did not have any tear while using them and with 72 in a pack, I think that shows great quality. The fragranced wipes smelt lovely and fresh and are just as good to use as the unscented variety. Another thing I loved about this product was the seal on top. It is strong and adhered very well, not once did it peel open giving the wipes a chance to dry out. This fact makes it a great design to have in your nappy bag. ‘

Reviewer 2 ~ ‘I have been using re-usable nappies with my little one so I was very happy to be chosen to review the Jackson Reece baby wipes. I think it is great that these bio-degradable wipes contain organic ingredients, meaning no alcohol, no parabens and no to many other nasties found in most other wipes. The quality of the wipes were great and I would say better than other baby wipes because they are much safer for your child’s little bottom. I also used these wipes at times for general use such as wiping my little one’s face and also my hands; they are safe enough to do so because they are dermatologically approved and hypoallergenic.’

‘The best curry I have ever tasted and I cooked it myself…… well with a little help from Curry Traders!’

I also have to agree, it was the best curry I have had and I cooked it myself too. :-)  This is the great thing about Curry Traders they have made things easier for us in the kitchen because they have created a great range of prepared spices so we can cook fantastic authentic meals at home. There is a great selection of curries to choose from such as, butter chicken, lamb madras, chicken tikka masala plus many more. What makes Curry Traders unique is the way the product has been prepared for us.

Each bag is numbered which corresponds when following the recipe, making it so simple to make your meal of choice. You may have to grind the fresh but dried spices and when you do the aroma begins to fill the room. I think this is the secret on how we made such amazingly authentic tasting meals.  You grind these spices just before adding them to the meal so no flavour gets lost; it all goes straight into the meal to create that curry ‘bang’. Each little bag is perfectly measured for the recipe, so all you need to do is follow the recipe, (which comes in the pack with the curry), add the few ingredients required and your curry will be done.

The aroma filled the house while cooking and the taste was just as magnificent. What fun SmartStix are! We had a blast with these chopsticks. They made dinner time fun and full of smiles. We received Thomas and Petty training chopsticks plus an adult chopstick design in orange.

SmartStix are Edison chopsticks for children aged three and over. Not to be left out there are adult chopstick designs too, it’s never too late to learn. These chopsticks are designed with loops for your fingers to be placed in and are joined at the top by a hinge so they wont go flying anywhere. This hinge is very loose so you don’t need to use much power to move the chopsticks.  All this makes them the perfect and easiest way to teach your children, or yourself, how to use chopsticks.

‘I received the adult chopsticks to try and what a huge help it was! I cannot use chopsticks at all and the SmartStix design made it a breeze. I found using it very comfortable for my fingers and they were very easy to use. My meal the night of testing was curry prawns and rice. Super easy to pick up the prawns and I also did fairly well on the rice. It was heaps of fun to use them.

I thought it was a very fun way to learn and eat my dinner. If I thought this, children will love them! Also, I can see how using these SmartStix would help children with learning to hold a pencil and other skills such as concentration and focus.’

Our little review, Miss 4, found these a little more challenging than our adult reviewer, but that is to be expected. Miss 4 found them heaps of fun and she was definitely more interested in the food she was eating than usual. By about the third time of using the SmartStix chopsticks she was well on her was to getting the hang of it, now they are all she wants to use!

A final word from our adult reviewer…. ‘I found the SmartStix so fun and easy to operate, I have decided to buy a set for my husband and I’m going to make a special dinner for ‘Chopstick Night’, regularly.’

Modern technology has fast become a ‘normal’ part of our lives. I would say, one of the most widely used pieces of technology would be the mobile telephone. It has been absolutely revolutionary to our lives. These days mobile phones are not just a phone; they are also able to send and received quick messages (SMS), send photos (MMS), and send and received emails. That’s just the basics, there is much more they can do. Mobile phones are now an extremely important part of our working/business lives also.

The only problem is this item is somewhat of a fragile product. Within a split second this device can stop working due to getting wet for example or the screen can be scratched by mud or sand. It is now I would like to introduce to you RingerWraps by CleverWraps. ‘Can I just say, I could have used this product a few years back. I got caught in a storm while walking home and I knew I was going to get drenched but as I was carrying my things, the only choice I had was to run. RingerWraps would have saved it and saved me a couple of hundred dollars in getting it fixed!

Working from the inside out, there is a nappy liner which is 100% biodegradable so you can safely and easy flush solids away. The nappy insert is 100% cotton, making it safe for little bottoms and highly absorbent. Lastly the nappy cover, this is waterproof and an easy comfortable fit. Velcro tabs make the cover easy to fix, snug to any size and leak-proof, plus there is no need to wash this with every change. Here is what our reviewer had to say….

‘I found the Real Nappies reusable nappy system very easy to use. The fold is easy and it fits into the nappy just right. Once you have the fold down pat, I think it is just as fast as using the disposable nappies. We did not have one leakage while my son was in the nappy and the disposable liner made the changes quick and less messy. I was quite impressed by this. He also never got a sweaty bottom on the hot days, for him this would normally lead to a rash but after wearing the Real Nappies nappy this never occurred. I put that down to the cotton insert which, as we all know disposable nappies don’t have! I have to say I was very impressed by the design and the easiness of using the nappy. I think it is wonderful to have this funky food labelling system accessible to us, (‘us’ being the general public). We are reviewing more amazing products by Adorable Kidz this week. It is a Tickle Set which is one of their extremely popular creations. The Tickle Sets are made up of a cuddly non-looped tag blankie and a soft cube or ball with matching detachable and adjustable Snappy Straps. (Our set came with a cube.) These cubes and balls contain a small bell inside which gives a soft sound when being played with.

‘I loved everything about this tickle set, especially the non-looped tag blankie! My son would (and still does) feels, plays and sniffs this adorable blankie. He would play with the tags by splitting them and grabbing both separately. He would relax in his cot with this blankie until he fell asleep. I never had to worry about his little fingers being caught and twisted in loops of the blankie as it is a non-looped tag blankie; an absolute wonderful idea in my opinion. I found the soft cube a great item to have while my son was in the pram as it kept him busy. He seems to like splitting the tags and rattling the bell inside, so cute. Also, with these non-looped tag products by Adorable Kidz, you don’t have to worry about the ends fraying as every individual tag  is sealed off to perfection.’

Both the cube and the blankie have a clip and as the set does come with the matching Snappy Straps you can take these products out with you and your little one and never have to worry about losing either product. The Snappy Straps are another great creative design by Adorable Kidz. One end of the Snappy Strap can be attached to you little ones’ arm or the pram etc, while the other end is clipped to the blankie and/or the cube. If you purchase soft drink regularly, the SodaStream would be a great investment for you. You simply fill a reusable bottle with chilled water, screw the bottle into the SodaStream drink maker and pulse the CO2 into the water and that creates the ‘fizzy drink’. The next step is to select your desired syrup flavour and add. The process is so simple and quick; if you were to be holding a party you could have a great range of soft drinks in a matter of minutes! Here is what our reviewers had to say;

‘I had seen the SodaStream advertisements on television but I didn’t really know how it worked. Firstly, I was surprised to see that there were no cords to plug into the wall; I just assumed there would be. The SodaStream drink maker was very small, so it was not intrusive on the kitchen counter and the design is quite stylish. The whole process to make a soft drink was extremely easy and it did not create any mess. The quality of the SodaStream soft drink is just as good as any bought brand. I couldn’t tell any difference, the drinks were tasty and fizzy. I was very impressed by the SodaStream.’

The SodaStream website is so easy to use and it has all the items you need and want for your SodaStream. As for the gas cylinder, SodaStream have been cleaver enough to create a Gas Exchange System. When the gas in the cylinder is used up, you exchange the empty cylinder for a full one, paying only the cost of the gas refill and the cylinder deposit. (More details on the Gas Exchange System can be found on their website.) This process has made swapping gas cylinders much easier and cost effective.

If you, your husband/wife or the kids drink soft drink, you need to get a SodaStream. It will save you money by not buying soft drinks from the supermarkets and it saves the environment from all those used bottles. It’s a great product.
