Craig Hella Johnson conducts Conspirare Symphonic Choir, Conspirare, Texas State University singers, and Victoria Bach Festival Orchestra and Chorus in Beethoven’s monumental masterwork. With soloists soprano Mary Wilson, mezzo-soprano Emily Lodine, tenor Dann Coakwell, and bass Kevin Deas.

Pre-concert talk at 3pm by music educator Margaret Perry, director of the Armstrong Community Music School (included in ticket).

We will meet this month at Kelly’s House in the Peacock Neighborhood at 7pm.   Monty Python’s Life of Brian (1979) has been requested, however other suggestions are also welcome.  Life of Brian tells the story of Brian Cohen, a young Jewish man who is born on the same day as, and next door to, Jesus Christ, and is subsequently mistaken for the Messiah.  Thirty-nine localalities  in the UK either imposed an outright ban, or imposed an X rating on the film, leading the film-makers to proclaim: “So funny it was banned in Norway!”.

We are always looking for hosts for this event: if you can have 5-6 people over to see a flick and are willing to provide some light snacks (popcorn, sodas, etc.), then you can host! If you can offer to host, email our Move Night Organizer.

Gather  in the comfort of a member’s home and enjoy playing some social games such as Apples to Apples, Scene It, variations of Flux, Scrabble Slam, etc.

Those attending should bring their favorite party games, and everyone will decide what game or games sound like fun.  You are also welcome to bring snacks or drinks to share.

Every month needs a host.  Never hosted a No Kidding! Party Games Night?  It’s easy and we clean up after ourselves.  If you have space for even just a card table, then you can host. C’mon, it’ll be fun!
