It has not been a great one so far. On New Year's Day, we ended up with a computer virus, and that took all day to get rid of. Just days later, my email was hacked and emails were sent out to people I had in my contacts. I am not sure how many people got the message, so I am letting you all know now that I am at home safe and sound and not out of the country. I wish that I could be, but that will not happen.

The email that was sent had a title of EMERGENCY. The email said the following:

Hope you get this on time ? Sorry I didn't inform you about my trip UK for a program and am having some difficulties here because i misplaced my wallet on my way to the hotel where my money and other valuable things were. presently my passport and my things are been held down by the hotel management pending when i make payment.

I will like you to assist me with a loan of $2,000 Dollars to sort-out my hotel bills and to get myself back home. I will appreciate whatever you can afford to assist me with, I'll Refund the money back to you as soon as i return, let me know if you can be of any help? ASAP.

I don't have a phone where i can be reached.
please let me know immediately

Amanda

My cousin had responded by saying," I got this today,do you know who could of sent it?"

They had responded to her again saying the following:

I am much more confused than you are,I would have called you on the phone ....i don't even have any money to pay for a PAYPHONE to call. I don't have access to the hotel phone because am in debt with the hotel. I will really appreciate if you can help me send the money before everything get bad. You need to come to my aid at this time. I promise to pay back as soon as i get back home all that matter now is my well being.

I have recently changed my email, and everyone in my contact list should have gotten the new email address. If you did not, then please let me know by leaving a comment, and I will email it to you.

This is what we get in the world if we are not careful or just doing day to day business. I had family members worried over the fact that my email was hacked. It has created some problems with me, and I still have not gotten everything straightened out. If you have received one of these emails from me, then I am sorry that you had gotten the email. I do have access to my old account, but that will be deleted once I believe I have everything that I need out of it. I believe that Twitter and other accounts will be ok for now. I will change them later if needed. Hopefully I will not have to do that one. I am hoping that this is a one time thing and will not happen again. Thank you all for understanding and I will see you all soon.

Allergy Proof Baby Buddy Bear

In the September 2008 Parenting magazine, I found an allergy proof bear called Baby Buddy Bear. Many children have allergies and asthma, and stuffed animals carry dust mites that can irritate these conditions. This bear is reasonably priced at $12.00 from Kids Preferred. They are also being sold at Khol's for $14.00 for everyone who loves to shop at Khol's. In Parenting Magazine it says, " To keep it sneeze-and-wheeze-proof once a month freeze it for 24 hours to kill most of the mites, then wash and dry it to dispose of them." Sept. 2008 pg. 36

I found that very interesting and a good tip for parents, and it can also be tried on other plush animals as well. I hope that you will add this little guy to your child's toy collection. The bear is made for the washer and dryer so it will not tear up as easily. Taking away toys because of allergies and asthma can be difficult, and this little bear can ease some of the stresses that comes with changing a child's toys. Bring him home today!!

Thank You Entrecard Droppers (Dec. 2009)

I want to thank all of my Entrecard droppers for dropping their ad on my page. Well, it is finally 2010, and we have had a great year. We are hoping to even have a better year this year. My husband will be graduating from college this year, and I am glad to have that out of the way. Now hopefully we can start a life a new. I hope that everything will work out for us once he gets a degree. He is going to college for computer programming. He is still doing very well in school.

I was reading Yahoo news this morning and I had seen where you can check your astrological horoscope for 2010. I thought that I would share mine with you today. There is one for your career and love. I thought that I would share the career one. I am already in love, so I just do not read those much.

Year 2010 Career
Brace yourself for big changes in your work and money life, Aries! This is the year when a lot of your past potential and promise come out. Two eclipses in your career sector (one in January and one in July) will set the stage for a major shift. Some of this will be the fulfillment of things you've been working on quietly for some time, and part of this will simply be thrust on you by circumstance.

Either way, change is good, and will lead to a greater sense of long-term fulfillment on your part. Pluto also continues its long-term travel through your job zone. Pluto is a planet that demands a deep and committed response, whether you thought you were ready for it or not. This isn't at all necessarily bad or difficult news. No one is every 100 percent happy with their work and money life, it seems, and that basic sense of mild ongoing dissatisfaction can be what propels you towards greater career heights. June and July may see you seriously contemplating a change in direction as far as what you do for a living. Keep your eyes open for new opportunities.

As far as actual cash on hand, the news appears to be more good than bad -- especially in September and October. The last year probably wasn't too comfortable (but lacked any serious shortages). The next year will provide stability. No big lottery wins, in other words, but lots of chances to get smaller expenses in line. Keep an eye on the pennies, and the dollars will take care of themselves.

Guess that we will wait and see what part of this will play out. Do not forget to check out yours as well. Have a great day, and thanks for the visit today. See you all again soon!!

Our Christmas

It has been a few days since I last wrote, and we have been busy doing other things that needs to be done. We had a quiet Christmas at home this year, however it did rain Christmas Eve. The boys are enjoying their new toys, especially the Transformers they got. Devin had it tough just before Christmas. He just could not wait until it was time to open presents. One afternoon, I found him sleeping under the Christmas tree next to the presents. He cried and fussed some days, and others it did not seem to bother him to much. Eddie only tried to take them once, after that he left them alone. For Christmas they got Lego building sets from Grandma, and we still have to put Eddie's giant aircraft carrier together. Devin's car play set (Streetz from Matchbox) was easier to do. Devin likes the light up truck and two mini cars that came with it. A piece of the crane had a bad molding defect, but I think it is fixable with super glue. They are both having lots of fun with their new toys.

Just before Christmas, I had taken Eddie off of his Adderall, due to some concerns we had. We had talked it over with him, and he agreed that he no longer wanted to be on it. Have I noticed a difference? I would say yes. He seems to be easier to handle and he seems to be focusing a lot better. I wonder how he will do when he goes back to school. He still has a "goofy" personality due to autism, but I think that his ADHD may be getting better. He still moves around a lot. He is very expressive with his language and his whole self will be affected. I guess we will wait longer to see how he really does; especially when school starts back.

Thanks for coming to visit me today! See you all soon!

Olive Oil Bread

Having an allergy to soybean oil has made me to learn how to make my own bread. Most loafs you find in the grocery store has soybean oil in it. I thought that I would see if I could find a recipe with olive oil instead, and I did find one. This olive oil bread is easy to make and is very good. Thanks to allrecipes.com I found this one and I would like to share it with you.

             Ingredients

                     1/2 cup warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)

2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast

                     1 teaspoon white sugar

                     1 teaspoon salt

                     4 tablespoons olive oil

                     2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

             Directions

In a large bowl mix together the warm water (110 degrees), yeast, sugar, salt, and olive oil. Stir in 2 cups of the flour in order to make a soft ball. Knead in additional flour so that dough is soft and not sticky. Place kneaded dough in a medium size greased bowl. Was it an eating disorder or drug use? It was claimed that she had some erratic behavior, and was on Adderall which is prescribed for children and adults with ADHD. The drug can cause weight loss at first, and then have affects like cocaine. Oh my! They still do not know what exactly caused Brittney to become unconscious and dieing of cardiac arrest. She was known for being in "Clueless". May God be with her friends, family, and fans. We will miss her greatly.

As a matter of fact, my oldest is on Adderall XR. Now I am wondering if it is safe for him anymore. The generic name is amphetamine. I was cautious about him taking such a drug, but I have had him on others and they did not seem to work well. He still has some hyperactivity still, so I am wondering if I should have that changed. He was on it once before, and was loosing the weight so I had him taken off. Later after nothing else seemed to help I put him back on it. I have not seen any problems other than some hyperactivity, but I am still concerned for his safety. I may end up talking to my kids doctor about what exactly I should be concerned about.

Wishing It Was Christmas

I have one little boy who is wishing that Christmas was already here. We had some friends of ours come over to bring presents for the boys. That really set Devin to want to open them. I decided to give him a stuffed rabbit that I was saving to try to keep him from getting upset over not being able to open presents. He is constantly talking about them, and I just keep telling him that he will have to wait, or he will not have anything on Christmas Day if I let him. Some of the presents have Santa on them, so Devin would say that Santa is watching him. Now he is saying that he will sneak into them. That reminds me of when my sister and I were little. She would unwrap them when our parents were gone, and then re-wrap them before they came home. I would just look at her thinking why is she doing this. I never did look at mine. I wanted it to be a surprise. Eddie is willing to wait, and is not giving me any problems wanting the presents already.

Watch That Doggy Door

WATCH THAT DOGGY DOOR

Could you imagine coming home from work

find this tiny creature napping on your

with your dog?

Guess who came home for dinner?

It followed this beagle home, right through

the doggy door. One is causing autism parents some concerns. Ari Ne'eman has a perspective that autism is just one of many different ways of thinking, rather than a disability or disease to be cured. What? As we turn around we are finding that Obama is not even considering to find a cure for autism during his presidency. What? Now what are we supposed to do? I really do not like the idea of this at all. I first learned about this from Facing Autism in New Brunswick, and the post is here. I wanted to make this one short since I want to give credit to Facing Autism. Social Security sees autism as a disability. Will that end up being taken...I wonder what Barak Obama will do next. Well, then again maybe I do not. What will he destroy next? The comments there are worth reading as well. See what others think and know what you feel.Let me know what you think about all of this!!

*UPDATE*
From Facing Autism in New Brunswick

Jim Carrey Wants Generation Rescue Donations For Christmas

Jim Carrey has decided that instead of presents for Christmas from his fans, he is wanting them to donate to Generation Rescue. His girlfriend, Jenny McCarthy of four years is part of Generation Rescue. Their seven year old, Evan, has autism and epilepsy. Her son is what inspired her to create the non-profit organization. Autism is still in need of funding, and I hope that you will donate as well. It would be like giving Jim Carrey a Christmas present. Sounds like fun, and then you are helping autism as well. You can mail your donations to Generation Rescue, 13636 Ventura Blvd #117,
Sherman Oaks, CA 91423. Join Jim Carrey in helping autism today!

Palm Springs Air Museum Autism Art Exhibit

The Palm Spring Air Museum is showing off 30 original pieces done by children with autism. We give our children to the teachers for seven hours each day to teach and help them grow. Children with autism are vulnerable and sometimes teachers take advantage of the situation. Reports of abuse of autistics have been found in Chicago, Illinois schools.

A now 13 year old had claimed that a teacher's assistant (aid) threw a stapler at him. Dovonte Shaffer went to school at Johnson Weldon Elementary. The boy was also verbally berated and psychologically abused in the classroom. His family has filed a lawsuit for $50,000.

There is yet another one out of Ogden International School of Chicago. This little 6 year old who has been named "John Doe" has autism and epilepsy. This one breaks my heart.

"On March 4, the boy's mother arrived to pick him up when everyone was at a musical event in the auditorium, and found the boy and the teacher emerging from a stairwell coming from the basement without explanation.

On May 1, the teacher allegedly allowed the boy to sit on HIS lap and publicly engaged in harmful sexual conduct with John, including French kissing, at an event attended by students and teachers, the suit said. Several teachers reported the incident to Ogden's principal and the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services."

What kind of people are these. I hate to say that they are out there, and they are found out about eventually. They do not deserve to be teachers for sure. His family is also seeking $50,000. I hope that they are both granted what they seek and greatly deserve. This is so uncalled for. All opinions are 100% mine.
With Christmas around the corner we are looking for deals for this holiday season. Some enjoy the option of placing bids. Auction sites like Bidazzled sell items for less than the retail price. Launched in November, they can offer you up to 90% off of name brand products. Bidazzled funds a charity while you buy products. The current one is The Ruch Foundation which is a charity for lung cancer. Auctions can save you up to 80%, and no one looses. You can still receive up to 50 bonus bids. In their first month, there have been 2 winners of Nintendo Wii's who have won with just their 5 free bids, and you can even win a laptop computer for a dollar if no one else has bidded on the item. After the auction ends, you have the opportunity to have Bidazzled make you an offer to buy back the item in exchange for cash, bids, or cash and bids. You can also purchase the auction item for less than the investment you had offered for the item.

Bidazzled also has an exclusive offer.

15 Additional Bids to you if they you use this code until January 15th (all you have to do is enter it on the registration page, there is no obligation or cost of any kind):
* Blog: BBP1202A
* Twitter: BTP1202A

Bids cost $1 at Bidazzled and are available for purchase in bid packs as low as $25. For the past few days (72 hours) searchers have been looking for a seven year old non-verbal autistic boy who ran away from home after their family dog. The boy, James Delorey, was not dressed for the coming snowstorm that would claim his life. He suffered from hypothermia and was unconscious when they had found him. He was found early this morning. To the family, I am deeply sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to you and your family. However, not all vinegars contain lead. Some toxicologists and others, however, oppose the idea that lead contamination is due to soil conditions instead of production and storage as the problem. Testing has shown that the highest levels were the one in wooden barrels that have been aged. Some producers are labeling their products to ensure the lowest amount of lead in their products. Oscar was 16 at the time, and has autism and special needs. Local police officers said that they were out on patrol in a high gang area when they had noticed Oscar doing something, so they say. The family says otherwise.

When Oscar was approached he was outside of the families business. The police has said that Oscar had hit one of them in the chest once the officer had tried to grab his wrist. His family members said that he did not hit the police officer. The officer had tried to hit him in the shoulder, but missed and hit him in the head which required eight stitches. This has left Oscar emotionally broken, and is having troubles. How can one tell him that the police will protect him when they are the ones who caused this on him. The family had tried to explain that he was autistic, but they apparently did not listen.

His sister, Nubia Guzman, was threatened with arrest by police when she had tried to explain the situation concerning her brother. The family is now suing the police department. The lawsuit also accuses the Independent Police Review Authority, the agency that investigates complaints against police, of using investigative techniques that favor police employees.
