Three more people have been arrested in connection with an alleged staged accident ring in North Carolina, bringing the total to seven in what has been a two-year investigation in Rowland. These arrests came after a two-year joint investigation between the FBI and DOI-Criminal Investigations Division. Rowland Police Department assisted in the investigation.

Tampa Bay Player Out for Season Because of Car Accident

Tampa Bay fullback B.J. Askew will miss the remainder of the season because of injuries suffered in a car accident. He was placed on the non-football injury list, ending his season, and signed cornerback Marcus McCauley on Tuesday. The 6-foot-3, 233-pound Askew played in the first five games this season with Tampa Bay. He sustained back and neck injuries in a car accident early last week.
