To be successful in making money online you need to generate a lot of web site traffic. There are a lot of free ways to do this but today I am going to share one way I tried this afternoon.

I’ve always wanted to test using Facebook’s ad system so I put up an add for Camtasia Video Income. The first ad was not approved because I used too many capital letters and improper punctuation.

Well earlier this evening I re-did my ad and corrected my problems. Within an hour it was approved. My daily budget was set to $25.00.

Here is how the ad looks and reads…

As you can see the stats aren’t good. In fact, it cost be $25 to get 33 clicks and I only received two sign-ups to my autoresponder. Either the landing page is not action oriented enough or this type of traffic is not good. I’m not sure at this point.

I’m going to give it one more day and then make the decision to see if i continue to this source or not. I’ll keep you posted.

I am going to investigate additional resources such as Traffic 2.0. I may find that I can get more traffic and not have to mess with paying for it. With this tool I can Just harness the power of web 2.0

Here you’ll find out about Day Three of my Make Money Online goals.  I actually put up a site and prepared it for business.  I’ll share that with you shortly.

But first let me walk through the steps of getting it all started.

Step One: My first order of business was to set-up my hosting.  I did that and my hosting account is awesome.  I can add multiple domains and have them operate independently.  This is handy since I don’t want to pay for new hosting for each site I put up.

Step Two: I set up a new site and set up the product.  As I mentioned in a earlier post I grabbed the resale rights to a product but if you don’t have one then you should check out the Info-Product Dashboard

Step Three: I added a new landing page to capture prospects.  In addition, I whipped together a video explaining the product and trying to motivate the visitors to subscribe.  I used a program to deliver the video on the web page called Audio Acrobat

Now I know I glossed over the information to get this site set-up and you probably have a lot of questions.  So what you should do is go through the cycle.  In other words, go to the landing page and sign-up to get the  autoresponder series I put together and take notice of the steps.

1. What Are You Trying To Sell Me?
2. What Is The Cost?
3. Why Should I believe You?
4. What’s In It For Me?

This information is all very important but we haven’t even decided on a product or service to go after.

I bought some resell right products the other day that I planned on using for this make money online journal. These products came with complete sales pages, graphics and a product (if you are interested I’ll show you where I got them.)

Over the next few days I’ll show you how I plan on setting them up, including the hosting, the squeeze page with video and how I plan on receiving money. I will include video to help you understand what is possible and you can see my every step.

Welcome to “how to make money online with Automatic Money Tools.”

This is not going to be a blog with short post loaded with some affiliate links here and there, in hopes of me making affiliate cash from you.

Instead, I’m going to show you how I am going to build a business online and, dare I say it…Live the American Dream.
Is this possible?

I’m not completely sure, however, you’ll know what works for me and what didn’t. I’ll share the good with the bad.

In an honest effort of full disclosure… I have to admit that I have a few successful online ventures online. Trust me I do not live in a million dollar home, nor do I drive a BMW 750 IL (my dream car BTW.)

I do make several thousand a month from my online ventures. But this blog will not be about them because they are already established. Let’s be clear… as my tagline says….”Make Money Online by Working Smart Not Hard”, is going to be focused on building a business ethically and strategically. No short cuts, although I do use software to give me a competitive advantage.

Understanding that tagline is more important than you may initially think because nothing worth anything, is easy.

Let me repeat…

Anything that is worthwhile in your eyes will not be completely easy. You’ll have to work at it. But to me that’s not working hard. I love trying new things on the internet, testing using the process of self-discovery as my motivation. Of course, making some money is nice too!

Make Money Online Baseline

As I mentioned earlier, you’ll discover the methods, tools and ideas behind my quest for my BMW.

Sidenote: You’ll notice I have a clearly defined “Why.”

Why am I trying to make money online? Simply, I want a cool car. But you may want money to get out of debt, or to stop working for the “man.”

Whatever your “why” you need to keep it in front of you and work your plan. If you don’t have a plan, that’s ok. As you follow along, you’ll begin to develop one.

So let’s get started!

I’m using a couple of items to help me form my starting point, as well as, to help me with long term execution.

First, I am building my business off of a manual called “The Great Formula.” Don’t worry, I haven’t read the entire PDF myself, although I am following along and as I go, incorporating some of the ideas into my business model. You should too.

Secondly, I am using Jeff Walker’s Product Launch Formula 2.0 (this is not free) but I bought it several months ago and it has helped me with a few other online sites that I’ve rolled out. If you’re interested you can learn more about it here.

Finally, I am using a MAC, which is a first for me. All of my online ventures have been accomplished with a PC. This will be interesting, however, I don’t think it will be necessary for you to worry about what type of system you are using.

I actually use software programs that work off of both systems so I jump back and forth. But again, it really doesn’t matter.

Other Great Tools

Since we are going to be building an online business, hosting is critical. I’ve used a lot of different partners but my favorite is Blue Host and as we go I’ll share more, but the key is that, for a nominal price, you get great quality (uptime), an easy to use interface, and the ability to add-on multiple domain names. This is key to holding down your cost and gaining more profitability from your business.

In addition, you may want to get involved in the 30 Day Challenge with Ed Dale and Dan Rain. The quality of their free content is amazing and you’ll learn how to do proper keyword research and learn all about easy ways to get noticed.
