Having trouble with finding a good used car at a low price? If you are not willing to pay through your nose for an expensive automobile or apply for bank loans with high interest rates to get a good car, then you should start scouting for sales of repossessed cars through a public auto auction.

Hundreds and thousands of cars are seized throughout America each day. With the weak and uncertain economy, the number of cars that are being repossessed is increasing. This is fantastic news for those who are looking for a great deal on getting a car!

What are the benefits of buying a used car through a public auto auction?

Price

The number one benefit is definitely the price. You can get good quality repossessed cars at less than half the price that secondhand dealers offers! If you have a source that can get you listings that cannot be found easily on the Internet, there will be less bidders and you will be able to get even lower prices!

Convenience

Yes, the days of driving from one secondhand car dealership to another is over! No more haggling and wondering if the secondhand car dealers are telling you the truth. No more spending an entire day searching through useless and expensive junk that will not last.

You can simply log into your computer or laptop, then surf away on the Internet!

However, if you do not know where to start your search, I must admit that it may yield the same result of wasting hours and not getting what you want.

All the problems can be solved with getting a right program that will be able to source real government used car auctions. With that, you will be able to getting the best listings in less than a few clicks away, saving you hours and hours, surfing through hundreds of pages and looking at fake public auto auction listings posted by secondhand car dealers.

Car Condition

Lastly, great car conditions. Many of these cars are repossessed due to car owners failing to pay their monthly loans. Point is, many of these cars are in really good conditions. Owners of these cars did not have the intend to have their cars confiscated. Hence, you can be well assured that the cars are in the best drivable condition.

If you are tired of getting horrible quotes on bad-quality cars, then you should start looking for a public auto auction that will give you your dream car deal!

Get The Best Car Deal Through Government Public Auto Auction For a Risk Free Trial Price of $1.95!
A federal auto auction is an affordable means of buying salvaged cars. At these auctions a person can find fantastic cars at surprisingly low prices. The schedules of these auctions are well-publicized in the newspapers, magazines, and on websites by the police and government departments. A person can go to these auctions and have a look at the vehicles that are on display. Even if you are not too interested in buying cars from such auctions, you might just find a car that fits your requirements perfectly. This might prompt you to even change your mind.

The vehicles available at a federal auto auction are collected from a variety of sources. On many occasions, these cars have been confiscated on being involved in criminal activities. There are some vehicles which are salvaged due to tax violations too. Banks also repossess a car if a person has defaulted in making a loan payment. Then these cars are placed by the banking authorities in the federal auto auction so that a portion of the money can be retrieved. But you do not need to worry about the various reasons for which those cars are there as the automobiles that are being sold at these auctions are all being done in a legal manner.

Not only are cars available in these auctions but one can also find motorcycles, trucks, jet skis, vans, and RV's out there on the auction block. Since great deals are often got at these auctions, buyers from the various car lots are also present along with the general customers. For getting detailed information on federal auto auctions, the internet can prove to be of immense help. Registration and fees for participation is required in some auctions. After registering, the person gets a chance of previewing the vehicles kept for sale. This is very helpful in helping you to make buying decisions beforehand.

The main prerequisite to buy a salvaged car from a federal auto auction is the right age. An individual needs to possess a valid driving license and needs to be more than eighteen years old. The mechanism of the federal auto auction is similar to any other conventional auction; the highest bidder gets to win the car/vehicle. The payment has to be made after the auction finishes and one must be prepared for that. The payment modes are generally kept flexible and a person can use certified checks, credit cards, cash, or money orders to make the car purchase.
In most cases, these bank repo cars will end up at auction. The majority of auctions are open to anyone who wishes to participate, and it is relatively easy to find auctions in cities throughout the country on almost any weekend.

The easy availability of bank repo cars can create incredible discounts for those who come to bid. There are also online auction sites for bank repo cars that can, in some cases, offer discounts of up to 90%. The greatest deals are usually available to those who are not concerned with the condition of the car. Buyers that are interested in re-servicing vehicles or simply selling them off for parts can quickly turn a profit.

If have no intention of turning around and selling bank repo cars, you should take the time to appraise the condition and the worth of a vehicle. There is usually time for you to get an up-close look at all the auction vehicles before long before the bidding starts.

Once you enter into an auction of bank repo cars, you have to be prepared to win. While there is a good chance that someone out there is willing to pay a little more, there is also a strong possibility you will come out on top. If you bid more than you can afford, you can run into a range of problems. That is why it is important to establish a top price you are willing to pay, and even more important to stick to it.

For listings of bank repo cars, please visit http://www.auto-car-auctions.info/

So it is really within your reach if you have been dreaming of driving home a BMW 3 Series. Here are some quick tips that you can pick up if you are not sure how a repossessed auto auction works.

Introduction - What Exactly Is a Repossessed/Seized Vehicle

Repossessed property also includes vehicles. These are all seized, surplus and unclaimed equities which the government agencies try to sell away to recover administrative costs. The auctioned cars can also come from banks, financial lenders, police and other government agencies.

Types Of Vehicles Put On Auction

You can practically find all kinds of vehicles put up for sale at the repossessed auto auctions. From SUVs, to sedans and sports convertibles, you get a whole range of vehicles. The condition of these vehicles may vary from slightly scratched to being badly damaged. But the good thing is the majority are in excellent working condition. Sometimes, you may even find cars which are a few months old priced at less than 60% of its normal retail price.

Prices of Vehicles

These vehicles start with very low prices and are bid upwards by interested parties. If the car model is a hot favorite, then it can skyrocket to ridiculous prices. That said, most people are still able to drive home a set of wheels for 80% off the showroom price. Such seized or repossessed vehicles are better deals than buying from private car dealers.

Basic Rules and Requirements

There are general rules and requirements to abide by. Firstly, most require bidders to be at least 18 years old and hold a driving license. Some require you to pay a registration fee to enter and bid. Ideally, you should carry a copy of Kelly Blue Book when you enter these places as it would help you to know the estimated value of the cars. Bring along a qualified auto mechanic as well so that he can provide a preliminary inspection.

Repossessed Auto Auctions Venues

Such auctions happen all the time and at all places throughout the year so you should be able to find one near home. For a start, call up the local government agencies branches and banks or even auction houses for a schedule. Check out the local newspapers for advertisements for auctions also.

The most convenient way of finding such car auctions is to use online auction directories. From there, you would be able to know exactly when and where the auctions are taking place. On top of that, you would know what vehicles are being offered. For a low one-time fee, you can have unlimited access to their databases of the latest news about repossessed auto auctions at your finger tips.

Begin your car search today through my car blog and drive home your dream car at huge discounts.

Davion is crazy about fast cars. Uncover useful tips on seized car auctions such as where to find cheap seized car auctions near your home at his wildly successful car blog.

Then the perfect place to look for it is in a federal auto auction. The auction offers cars which come from various sources. There are a number of cars which are stolen, while some cars are given in federal possession because the owner defaults in paying vehicle tax, and cars collected from all these sources finally end up in a federal vehicle auction.

But irrespective of the various sources of cars being sold on a federal auction, all you are concerned with is to pay the price to own a great car. All the proceedings of a federal auction are perfectly within the spectrum of federal law, which means that no one can prevent you from buying and keeping a car from a federal auto auction irrespective of its background.

Are you looking for a vehicle but not quite a conventional one? It's the fact that these auctions are usually kept away from the public even though they are designed for anybody to take part in them. Usually the kind of people that attend these auctions are looking to resell the vehicles and make a big profit. They would have you believe that it takes some arduous task of getting licenses to be able to attend a place that is like a gold mine. The fact of the matter is that is just not true. But they love to keep that a secret!

What kinds of cars and trucks are at these auctions? You can find many kinds including domestic and foreign vehicles. If you are interested in a common truck that people enjoy driving you'll be happy to know that there are many Ford F150s and Dodge Rams.

Another reason the perception is high that car auctions are secretive is because they are not advertised by the auctioneers. They are selling vehicles at a low price and generally have a good audience that keeps the auctions to himself that attend. If you don't show up they are happy that it is something that is unknown to you.

Car Auctions are no longer a secret from you when you use the following website which gives access to government car auctions in your area:

Looking for more great auction tips:
Classic Car Auctions - Find Cheap Classic Cars in Your Area

Then gradually these vehicles procured remain in unused condition for a considerable period of time. Then newer and more efficient cars came in the market which replaced these cars. These old cars then became a surplus, which had to be sent to these govt car auctions. The same logic is applicable for many police cars too. Auction cars over the Internet are beneficial for the sellers. By doing this online, they can have a better number of possible buyers since the scope of the World Wide Web is global.

Selling cars online would require online bidding software so that the auction process can make it run smoothly and quickly. There are a number of car sellers online that are not successful in their quest to dispose their items because of the absence of a proper technology that will help them persuade the customers.
This is why when you plan to run a car auction over the Internet, you need to make sure to have this kind of software. Upon choosing software for this purpose, you must choose a good one that will allow video streaming. Videos that contain information about the cars that you are selling are an effective means to convince the potential buyers to place their bids.
Online bidding software that is able to provide a tool for video streaming or web casting. In most cases, customers will not read the whole descriptions of the item that they are watching or the items that they are planning to bid. This is why most of the car sellers will make a video file that contains all the information and details that the buyers need. This way, the busy customers who do not have the time to read the articles can still be persuaded to place bids.

Some of the people who run a car auction even acquire software that is capable of video conferencing with their bidders. With this, all the bidders and the sellers or the auction holder can have a live interactive chat to discuss the current bidding process.
When you want to engage in a car auction, you need to have your own online bidding software so that the bidders can place their bids easily and more conveniently. The good thing about this software is that these can provide both the customers and the sellers a comprehensive bidding history.

For more great car info and auto repair tips go to auto repair manual

According to Google's search count, hundreds of people are looking for "public auto auctions in Pennsylvania, PA" and "how to buy a cheap car at PA public car auction".

How to Buy a Cheap Car at a Pennsylvania Public Auto Auction

It is not difficult if you know how. First of all, you need to know where to find the cheap cars.

There are different categories of auto auctions. You have the seized/repossessed car auctions, police automobile auctions and the private auctions. Obviously, we are giving the private auctions a miss.

Seized car auctions and police automobile auctions are held by the police departments and sheriff offices as well as government agencies and private financial institutions like banks and loan companies.

DOE, NEA, DOD, FBI, IRS, USMS and other state agencies seize and confiscate vehicles from tax defaulters and other offenders on various charges. Banks and loan companies likewise have to take possession of mortgaged vehicles when their clients fail to pay off their debts.

Depreciation of used vehicles is fast and before the paper value runs out, these inventories are cleared quickly through cheap auctions. This is where you can step in to seize the opportunity.

Steps to Finding a Cheap Deal at a PA Public Auto Auction

Search the newspapers and auto magazines for news of public car auctions in Pennsylvania. Start first with the local newspapers like The Sentinel, The Dallas Post, The Morning Call, The Times News, The Times Herald and others, and widen your search to the national newspapers.

A trick to do is to look at the smaller publications. Most people do not bother checking their classified ads but this is where you can find small scale, lesser known public auto auctions in PA, Pennsylvania. This reduces bidding competition.

Another way is to fish for information at the local police departments and government agencies. They will be able to tell you when they are scheduling the next PA public auto auction.

The quickest and most convenient way will be to use a car auction search directory. These are huge databases and announcement boards of auto auctions both current and future. Users can also know the exact operating hours and dates and may get to see the available automobiles auctioned.

So if you are looking for a Pennsylvania PA public auto auction, this is your best chance.

Make new discoveries and learn more handy tips about public car auctions such as where to find such auctions near your home and how to get great bargains for your car deals.

Very often, we hear of people going to the car showrooms to view the latest car models or even know someone who is going to the used car dealer to buy a second-hand car. Other than heading to the car showrooms and second hand garages, you may not know that seized car auctions are real gems when it comes to buying a used car or near-new condition car at a huge discount. Here are some facts about such auctions for all potential car buyers especially those who are looking for used vehicles.

Did you know that there are literally thousands of cars that go into the surplus inventory of the government and banks?

Since many vehicles are seized or repossessed by government and banks everyday, the monstrous expenses to find a storage space for these cars are huge and maintenance costs can escalate quickly. So in a bid to bring the costs down, government agencies and banks are ready to auction them off at seized car auctions for as much as 90% off the retail price you see at car showrooms. The next time you see your neighbour driving a Mercedes convertible, it may not mean that he or she is rich. The car may have come from such an auction.

Government agencies such as Internal Revenue Service (IRS), U.S. Marshals Service (USMS), U.S. Customs Service, Small Business Administration, U.S. Department Of Defense, U.S. Bankruptcy Court, U.S. Department Of The Treasury, Department of Agriculture (USDA), Department of Energy (DOE) and many others could be the ones who took these cars in.

Since the anti-mob laws in the States are forcefully enforced, the constant raids on drug dealers and other mob activities have seen many posh luxury cars seized by the government. They are not interested to make any profit out of it but rather to quickly sell them away lest the costs of maintaining them becomes a liability to the government coffers. This is where you get top class, and sometimes near new condition cars on sale at ridiculously low prices in seized car auctions.

At seized car auctions, there are also repossessed cars taken by IRS from people who default on tax payments, and also others who fail to pay up their installments to banks and financial institutions on time. You can find a lot of models like Mitsubishi, Toyota, Ford, GM, Nissan, Honda, Chrysler, Lexus and other brands.

In fact, it is quite likely that there are many cars going for anything from $200 onwards. The eagerness of the government and banks to quickly sell off the seized or repossessed vehicles is an advantage and opportunity for all interested car buyers to drive home a quality vehicle for a deep discount.

Anyone keen on driving home your dream car for a price as low as 80 to 90% off the retail price can check out where to locate these seized car auctions at my blog.

Davion is crazy about fast cars. There are many ways to do this, but if you really want to save a lot of money on your next vehicle you can use government seized car auction to get it. This is an auction that will feature all different makes and models and it is completely open to the public. Bottom line is you will be getting the same cars you see on used car lots, but without the markup. Here are some tips to help you get the best deal possible at the auction.

1. What will you be bidding on? The cars you will see at the seized car auctions are usually from those that have not paid their taxes or have been involved in some sort of illegal activity. These cars are usually pretty new and in good shape.

2. How should you approach the vehicles? You will not be able to drive the cars ahead of time, however, you can inspect them and start them all you want before the auction. If you are not a mechanic or do not have a lot of knowledge about cars, then you should take a mechanic friend of yours with you. Offer to pay them for the trip if you have to because it will be worth it. Then, have them help you pick out 3 to 5 cars that you want to bid on. This will give you extra choices in case your first choice goes higher than you are willing to pay.

3. Where are these auctions and how do you find them? These are very much unadvertised sales because they do not want a ton of people showing up and have the prices get driven up. However, for a small fee you can join a website that will update you every single time there is a new auction happening whether it is in your area or not. These auctions go on every single day so you will have no trouble finding something in your area.

Knowing this information and having access to the government seized car auction listings will allow you to save thousands on your next vehicle. Imagine getting a 2 year old GT Mustang Convertible with less than 20,000 miles on it for under $1,000....I did!

Click Here and gain access to the Largest Database of Government Seized Car Auctions on the Internet!

For years, the auto industry has been protected by regulating entry into car auctions, thereby minimizing the ability of the average person to get a really good buy on a car or truck. Those days are coming to an end, now, though, with the increased popularity of the public car auction.

A public car auction is open to anyone and can be found in cities all over the country. They work much like any other auction, where the car goes to the highest bidder. Generally speaking, most public car auctions expect payment by cash or cashier's check, but it is just as easy to bid on a vehicle as it is to bid on a work of art.

It is even possible now to attend a public car auction without ever leaving your house; that's right, there are websites now devoted to providing you with the ability to take part in a public car auction with the click of a mouse. You can enjoy the auction in real time, or you can view the autos in person and make silent bids online.

If you have a son or daughter who will soon be turning sixteen or if you are in need of a second vehicle or just want to sell the car you have and make a change in your life, the new public car auctions may be just the perfect way to find your perfect vehicle at the best possible price. Don't think that your only options are to scour the classified ads or head down to the local auto superstore and pay whatever price the salesman thinks is fair. You now have a new option, and it may be the best one yet.

Buy a Car for Pennies on the Dollar! Public Car Auction is the place to visit.

Check out This Review Site for The best Public Car Auction Resources on the Web! Click here.

So it is really within your reach if you have dreaming of driving home a BMW 3 Series.

Uncover useful tips on seized car auctions such as where to find cheap seized car auctions near your home at his wildly successful car blog. Seized auto auctions could be where they have bought their flashy cars. While there are always the wealthy who can afford to buy brand new cars from the showroom, not everyone can afford that. But yet, every driver hopes to be able to drive a high performance car like the filthy rich. Seized car auctions can offer such deals for you at incredibly low prices, sometimes as low as 90% off.

The cars that are on auction at these seized auto auctions are as the name suggests, seized by the government from criminals or law breakers who have one way or another broken the law. Some are drug dealers, while others are tax evaders and even some crime syndicate members. These cars are recovered during the enforcement blitz or from other means. You can find top of the range autos like Mercedes, BMW, Lexus, Porsche and so on. All of these are sold at depressed prices below the blue book prices because the government agencies are not willing to spend money maintaining and storing them.

A lot of times, the cars at seized auto auctions could have low mileage and are in good shape. So do not presume that since they are used and cheap, they must be in bad condition. However, be sure to note that such good condition vehicles would be hot favorites among bidders at the auctions. While the winning bid may exceed the starting bid by a few hundred dollars, it is still much cheaper than paying for a similar second hand car at the car dealership.

One advantage for those who buy their autos at seized auto auctions is that not a lot of people are aware of the auctions. Those used car dealers would often have some insider information about the auctions even before the common folks. This is how they are able to grab great bargains and resell the cars quickly for almost double the profits.

Be sure to always look at the VIN numbers of the cars you are interested in bidding. Run a check for more information of the car history ie whether it has been involved in a major accident, how many past owners and so on. Get a friend who is good with cars, or a professional car mechanic to come along with you to the auctions.

With a little bit of chance, you can find your dream car at the seized auto auctions. You can really save a stack of money from buying there than going to the sweet talking second hand dealer. Find out from my car blog how the second hand dealers get wind of the auto auctions earlier than you and beat them at their own game to grab your choice automobile.

Davion is crazy about fast cars. Many people do not realize that police agencies, including local police departments, county sheriff departments, as well as state and federal law enforcement agencies end up with a lot of confiscated, lost, or abandoned property. Police departments across America also collect all types of assets and periodically hold auctions for them to be sold. Almost every state, as well as the U.S. federal government, have police seizure laws that empower a law enforcement agency to seize these property assets that have either been used in the commission of a crime, or have been purchased with money that was received through the commission of a crime. Not all items, though are seized. Sometimes items are acquired by police department because of being abandoned. Sometimes also, police surplus vehicles are sold.

You might be asking yourself, "What types of things can I get at a police auction?" The answer is anything you can think of, and it has probably been seized or abandoned (or even surplused). Cars, jewelry, planes, boats, furs, homes, anything that has been used in a crime or purchased with money that came from a crime is a fair target. What makes police auctions better than some other types of auctions is because of how cheap you can get certain items. Many times, goods such as cars, especially abandoned ones, are literally auctioned off for a couple hundred dollars.

City police departments also conduct public bicycle/property auctions as well as abandoned vehicle auctions. They will also sell miscellaneous items (small electronics, computer equipment, household items, cell phones, automobile accessories and a whole slew of other items). These auctions will be conducted on either the Internet and/or LIVE in person to interested bidders.

When most people think about police impound car auctions they believe those cars were once owned by a drug dealer or murderer, but that isn't always the case. A good number of the cars that you will hit upon at a police impound car auction are those which have been confiscated because of non-payment of loans and from businesses involved in fraud. A result of all this is that many of the cars are nearly new or in incredibly good condition.

If you are looking for information on attending a police auction, or any other type of auction for that matter, one website that really caught my eye was GovernmentAuctions.org. Their database will take you to government websites that allow you to purchase a car, truck, or any other automobile from a police or Sheriff's auctions. Moreover, they not only provide information on police auctions and Sheriff's auctions but also federal and state auctions, local auctions, IRS auctions, bank foreclosures, surplus property sales, tax lien/tax deed sales, and a plethora of other types. GovernmentAuctions.org® would certainly be a good place to start your search for these type of auctions.

Not only are the prices of cars sold there cheap, but the auctioned vehicles are also usually of good condition.

Moreover, the variety of vehicles in state auto auctions is so vast, so I am sure you will find the car that you are looking for.

You can never be sure of the quality of the automobiles sold in used car stores and other auction sites because these vehicles can come from anywhere and anyone.

However, you can be sure that the cars, trucks and other vehicles sold in state auto auctions are in good condition because they were formerly owned by top government employees or officials.

It is important to note that most government-owned cars are retired after either five years of use or when its mileage reaches 60,000.

Here are some useful tips that will help you get the best deals from state auto auctions:

1. Research is key

If you want bargain rock bottom prices, you must go the extra mile. Shop around for schedules and venues of state auto auctions. Events like these are usually posted in newspapers or online forums. So be sure to regularly check newspapers and the Internet for announcements.

Aside from knowing when and where the state auto auctions will be held, it is also important that you already have an idea on what car you are looking for and how much you are willing to spend.

Once you have decided what type or model of car you want to buy, you should now research its market value. Read magazines, classified ads, and even ask dealers and experts to know the selling rate of the car of your choice.

Thus, during state auto auctions, you can price your starting bid below (about 50%-70% less) the market value of the vehicle you are planning to acquire.

2. Timing is important

First-rate vehicles are either auctioned off at the start or the end of the sale. So it is best to be there when the auction starts and ends. Most people arrive in the middle of the auction and leave before it ends, so there won't be too much competition at the start and towards the end of state auto auctions.

You should also not miss state auto auctions during rainy days. Since only few people show up in such events when it is raining, there is a greater chance for you to buy a car at great bargain.

3. Caveat Emptor!

Buyer Beware! Vehicles sold in state auto auctions, or in any type of auctions, are usually in an "as is where is" basis. Meaning, you cannot exchange or return the car once you have already bought it. So carefully inspect the vehicles or cars in your shortlist before bidding for them.

If you have no knowledge about car engines, it would be better to bring a friend or a mechanic who could help you assess the condition of the auctioned vehicles.

4. Bid low

If you found a car that you fancy, it is important to make the first bid. Ensure though that your bid is low. A high asking price at the start might spark a bidding frenzy. So instead of spending less, you might end up buying the car at a high price. You must remember that it is best to bid low and slow.

Although state auto auctions are great venues to acquire high-quality used vehicles at low prices, you should still do your research and follow our tips. To ensure that you will get great bargains, attend state auto auctions only when you are fully prepared.

For listings of state auto auctions, please visit http://www.buy-cheap-cars.info/.

You've probably seen the grandiose ads or maybe even visited some of the auction websites.

You know, "cars for as little as $100". Or, "cars 90% off retail". I can assure you that this is a very unlikely result for any decent vehicle.

This is not to say that there aren't great deals at auctions because there are. But the result of such hype is twofold. People with false expectations go to an auction and are disappointed. And secondly, many people are just plain turned off by the hype and don't bother to participate at all ... thereby missing some genuine saving opportunities.

Even searching the topic on Google to get good information is a challenge. Most of the information is hype-filled, trying to get you to signup to one auction site or another.

Frankly, I think the internet can do with some more realistic and objective information on these auctions. This will better serve people to develop more realistic expectations. It will also help them decide if going to public car auctions is something they want to pursue.

Again, I'm not saying that there's not really good deals at these auctions. But they make it sound like you join today, either bid on an online auction or go to an auction this afternoon and then drive off in your beautiful 2005 Audi TT for $500 ... zip, zap, zoom, you're done.

I can tell you from experience that this just isn't going to happen in the real world. Can you get a great deal on the Audi TT? Absolutely. But it will likely take some time and it's not going to be practically free.

So, lets talk reality here. Auctions CAN fit into your strategy for getting a great price on a car. And these auction web sites CAN make this easier for you. But let's look at both the pros and cons to establish realistic expectations. Then you can be in a better position to decide if this is something you'd like to pursue or not.

First of all, there aren't a ton of open-to-the-public auctions to begin with. This means it's likely you're going to need at least some amount of patience. Some auctions are quarterly, some are monthly and there are a few that are weekly. They've got to build up an inventory of cars so it justifies the cost of putting on an auction. And this takes time.

So, unless you're a bit lucky, you probably won't run out to an auction to get your car this afternoon. I guess what I'm saying is it's not like visiting as many Dealerships as you want in a single weekend.

Next is pricing. There's going to be other shoppers bidding ... maybe even some Dealers. You're not going to get a "good", late-model car for a few hundred dollars. That being said, it's not unheard of to get a $20,000 car for $10,000 to $14,000 ... or a $15,000 car for $7,000 to $9,000. You can indeed get excellent buys below trade-in values, and sometimes way below. But just forget about real nice cars for "under $500", as is often the hype.

Are there cars for under $500? Of course there are. And often good buys too. But they are not the late-model cars.

Next, you may have to go a distance. The good auctions may not be right next door to you. Many auctions do not have online bidding. They're at a physical location. So, bear in mind that it may not be be particularly convenient.

All of this being said, it is true that there are excellent, money-saving deals at public car auctions. But please be prepared to both spend some time at it and to pay more than the hype implies.

Joshua Rose is an Auto Broker who goes to Florida Car Auctions on behalf of car buyers. He might have purchased his ride from a government auto auction for a fraction of its retail value. As a matter of fact, he might be that one neighbor with all the toys in the garage you can’t quite figure out how he can afford. Don’t keep up with the Joneses – BE the Joneses. Find and attend government auto auctions near you!

Government seized auto auctions:

Government seized auto auctions are constantly supplied by criminals when they are caught. The government seizes cars – and anything else – the criminal owns, and there aren’t too many drug dealers driving Ford Escorts! The government routinely seizes high-end luxury cars or highly customized vehicles during criminal investigations. These autos seized by the government include Acura, BMW, Cadillac, Honda, Infiniti, Lexus, Mercedes, Nissan, and the occasional exotic import – Aston Martin, Ferrari, Lamborghini and Maserati. If you are interested in a high end vehicle, but don’t care for the retail price tag, then government seized auto auctions are for you. To find a government seized auto auction near you, check within DEAauctions.COM "Members area" today!

Government fleet vehicles:

Government fleet vehicles are the retired police cars and government service vehicles that are replaced at regular intervals. Government auto auctions include many government fleet vehicles. These tend to be domestic cars with high mileage, but regularly maintained. Unlike the government seized autos, you are more likely to receive vehicle history with a government fleet vehicles purchase. If vehicle history is important to you, ask before the auto auction begins for the information. Click here for more auction hints.

Government surplus autos:

Government surplus autos can be a combination of government fleet vehicles and government seized vehicles. These cars do not necessarily have higher mileage, they are simply no longer needed by the government. These can be passenger vehicles, “decoy vehicles” used by law enforcement, heavy equipment or even motorcycles and ATVs or snowmobiles. When a vehicle is no longer needed, it becomes a government surplus vehicle, available at a government surplus autos auction. For a listing of surplus autos auctions check out your local government auto auctions events.

A Final Word About government auto auctions

There are literally thousands of bargains available at government auto auctions. These bargains could be in your own backyard, and you may not even know it. Whether you need a car for yourself and don’t want to spend a lot, or you have a teenager with a new license, government auto auctions offer some of the best values in the car auction market. All makes and models are available – that second car can become a reality without sacrificing safety or style to keep your wallet intact. With the high cost of storing cars, governments want to liquidate their surplus auto inventory as quickly as possible to save money. If you want to rack up the savings on your next government auto auctions purchase, click here.

Direct Access to the Most Complete Information Some of the more common auction items include:

used autos • marine vehicles • jet skis • aircrafts • homes • real estate • commercial property • farm equipment • industrial • business • electronics • computers • antiques • art • coins • stamps • appliances • guns • travel • collectibles • clothing • crafts • boats • bikes • motorcycles • mobile homes • jewelry • toys • cars • trucks • mopeds • bicycles • cameras • televisions • clocks • furniture • unclaimed property • abandoned property • personal property • office furniture • condominiums • town homes • commercial property • vacant land • single family homes • machinery • tools • hardware • building supplies

and much, much more...

Http://DEAauctions.COM is an unchallenged leader in the Auction information Industry and will transform the way you search & locate the Billions of dollars in property that is auctioned off throughout the country every year.

Government Auto Auctions

Car auctions are a fantastic way to save money on a car. There are a lot of ways to save money on a car that don't include insurance fraud or outright theft. Buying a new car can certainly seem like a smart decision if you can save some dollars, however car auctions are where the pros get their cars. They can generally be found in all states and happen at least once a month. The trick to buying a car is to buy it at wholesale (like a used car dealer would). Just like all auctions, there are deals to be found through just a little extra leg work. Here are 2 tips to help you in you car auction quest.

1) Use the internet to your advantage. Online resources can be a great help to people who are looking to attend their first car auction. Google the term “car auction KY” or “car auction MI” to look for local car auctions in your state. Also, if you live in a small state (like a state in the northeast), make sure and look for car auction locations in nearby states. For example, if you live in Eastern Pennsylvania, you might want to try looking for “car auctions NJ” or “car auctions NY.” Often times, depending on where you live, a car auction might be happening in a nearby location that's just over the state line.

2) Look through the local classifieds section of your newspapers. Here's something that not a lot of people know. Classifieds sections of newspapers can be a tremendous resource due to the fact that a lot of bankruptcy auctions need to be listed in paper by law. This can be to your advantage because these auctions aren't the normal auctions that take place and therefore might not attract a lot of attention from potential bidders.

There are a whole bunch of other tips that make these seem almost introductory. Learn them all and you could be on your way to a nice car for a low price.

About The Author
Ryan Tenney is author of “Top Car Auction Tips.” Grab your copy at http://www.carauctionsinsider.com.

Learn About Car Auctions

The seized car auctions are auctions where all of the cars that law enforcement agencies impound and sell. These are cars that are taken from criminals.

Most of the cars that you will find at a seized car auction are in good condition. The best part is, you can get them for 50 - 70 % less than the market value. With this kind of savings it makes it possible for anyone to afford a good car (when you get ready to sell your car, think about all of the profit your going to make).

These auctions are open to the public, all you have to do is register (for free). You usually get a list of all of the cars that will be for sale (also boats, vans, trailers, ect.) so you can go over this list and determine what vehicles you want to bid on.

Finding where and when a seized car auction is being held is a little tricky. They usually only advertise in a local paper. You may have to drive for a ways in order to get to the auction, but even if you had to drive 100 miles to get to the auction, it's well worth it with the type of savings your going to get.

Since this type of car auction is open to the public you do not need a dealers license like most other car auctions. This is not a well known type of car auction so there is not usually a lot of bidding competition and the cars will go fairly cheap.

This is one of the best ways to get the car you want at a very low price. You owe it to yourself to look into the seized car auctions.

To find out more information on police used car auctions and to get information on the locations of the auctions, please visit: http://cheapcars.homeloanperfection.com

About the Author
A Loan Consultant with a mind for saving and making money.

Seized Car Auctions

One of these things, oddly enough, is the sale of motor vehicles. It seems strange that cars would sell well on the Web, as one would think that buyers would want to "kick the tires" before making a purchase. The success of eBay Motors, AutoTrader and other online sites devoted to the sale of motor vehicles would suggest otherwise, as business at those sites is thriving.

Consumers who wish to purchase a vehicle online should be aware of a popular scam perpetrated by crooks who wish to steal your money – the wire transfer scam. The seller offers a vehicle for sale that he or she doesn't really have; they often just post a stock photo or one they found somewhere. The sellers often indicate that they are located in Europe, and they insist on a wire transfer, such as Western Union, for payment. Once the buyer sends the money, the seller vanishes, never to be heard from again.

This scam has been going on for some time, and most of the online auto auction sites encourage their customers never to pay for a vehicle using a wire transfer, even if the seller promises to use escrow to ensure the safety of the transaction.

Here are a few tips for those people who are shopping for a vehicle online:

# Ask the seller if you can stop by and see the vehicle in person. Someone who doesn't actually have the vehicle in his or her possession will almost certainly refuse. Even if you have no intention of paying a visit, just asking to see it could be useful.

# Watch out for auctions that feature stock photos or photos from brochures. Anyone with a real car to sell should be able to take a picture of it.

# Beware of any seller who will only accept a wire transfer for payment.

# Beware of a seller who says the vehicle is in another country but offers to pay the shipping to the United States. This is a common ruse used by scammers in other countries.

# Watch out for a vehicle that is offered for sale at a price that seems too inexpensive for the model. A $25,000 car offered for $10,000 should set off bells in your head.

# If on eBay, check the seller's transaction history to see if they have a record of actually selling vehicles. Scammers sometimes hack into eBay user accounts and sell using the name of another, established user. If the seller is selling a Harley but has a history of only buying compact discs, watch out.

While buying a vehicle through online auction sites is a good way to purchase one, buyers should exercise the same cautions as when they buy anything else on the Internet. If you are buying an expensive item and you are not familiar with the seller, be careful.

About the Author:©Copyright 2006 by Retro Marketing.
