The Suzuki Swift X-ite edition is available in three body shade and graphics combinations, white with red graphics, red car with white graphics and black car with white graphics. Swift X-ite edition runs on specially chosen 205/40 R17 twelve spoke matt black alloy wheels. The alloy wheels are further spiced up with matt black lug nut covers and suitable hub caps with a silver X-ite logo.

Under the hood, Swift X-ite edition has aluminum gear shift knob with black leather shift boot, two piece stainless steel door sills and black door mats. The door mats have been stitched with silver threads and  Suzuki’s logo has been embroidered on it. Other features worth mentioning are height adjustable driver seat and steering wheel, music system with steering mounted controls and air conditioning system with pollen filter.

The engine remains same 1.2ltr petrol engine which develops 94PS maximum power. The engine returns a fuel efficiency of 20Kmpl (combined).

Suzuki is currently offering  X-ite series of accessories  in some markets. But this is the first time company offering  the car with a factory fitted X-ite series accessories in Germany.

Suzuki Swift is  India’s best selling car in April-2012. Swift managed to beat it’s kin Maruti Suzuki Alto in number race. Though majority of sales coming from diesel variants, Swift is expected to remain in long waiting list for this year as well. So we don’t expect Swift X-ite edition in India any time soon.

Hyundai has paid special attention to the music department in i10 Sound Edition. There are six company fitted  speakers in this special edition i10. Volume control has been mounted on steering wheel and the music system can be connected to external devices including an iPod. Hyundai is offering an additional safety pack as well. This extra pack include many safety features include side and curtain airbags, electronic stability control system (ESP), rear disc brakes and active front head restraints.

Hyundai i10 Sound Edition will continue with current engine line up. The 1.1ltr 69bhp engine is compatible with both petrol and LPG while the second engine is gasoline only engine. The 1.2ltr Kappa2 engine develops 85bhp power at peak. Both the engines are currently available in Indian market. The engines have the company of a five speed manual gear box. There is an option of an autobox as well.

Back in India, i10 is Hyundai’s best seller. The car which crosses 10,000 mark on monthly basis consistently (the April-12 is an exception). Considering the demand for i10 in India, we don’t anticipate i10 Sound Edition’s debut in India. Anyways an interesting edition for those who wants something exclusive for their garage.

The upgraded Mahindra Thar is priced at Rs.6.75 lakh (ex showroom Mumbai). Other features of Mahindra Thars have been kept untouched. The new Mahindra Thar will  be soft top when it’s being rolled out from assembly line and customer can fit hard roof later.

“We are always responsive towards evolving customers’ needs and the launch of the New Cool Thar (AC) is a step towards giving our customers utmost comfort while they navigate through challenging terrain,” said Vivek Nayer, senior VP, marketing, M&M.

“Honda retained the brand Dream as part of a global strategy that was first launched in 1949. This new bike is very economical with better mileage,” HMSI’s President and CEO Keita Muramatsu said.

Dream Yuga is available in both kick start and electric start options. There are three variant of Honda Dream Yuga on offer, the base variant comes with spoke wheels and kick start while the top end gets alloy wheels and electric start. The mid variant of Dream Yuga has spoke  wheels and electric start.  Customer can choose from five paint options – Monsoon Grey Metallic, Alpha Red Metallic, Maple Brown Metallic, Force Silver Metallic and Black.

The styling of  Honda Dream Yuga is very basic and comes with basic equipment list. The front tyre  is supported by a telescopic suspension while front wheel gets an adjustable gas charged shock absorber.  Honda has equipped Dream Yuga with tubeless tires. The baking duty is assigned to a combination of disc and drum brake.

With the launch of Dream Yuga Honda is expected to lock horns with their erstwhile partner Hero Motocorp, Bajaj Auto and TVS Motor Company. This time Honda is determined to grab a pie of lucrative Indian commuter bike segment. Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India is in India for the last 12 years. This is the first time Honda products gets celebrity endorsement. Company managed to rope in  bollywood heartthrob Akshay Kumar to promote their products in India. But we believe Honda needs to strengthen their dealership and service network to serve their customers before launching a mass market bike this one.

Anyways we need to wait and see whether  Honda’s dream to become No.1 two wheeler manufacturer in India become a reality very soon…!

The new bike looks like a combination of new Pulsar and Pulsar 135 LS. The Discover 125 ST styling has more inclination to the  Pulsar 200NS. The Bajaj Discover 125 ST  is  stylish and sportier  compared to the current generation Bajaj Discover. The styling of the fairing and headlight is attractive and may emerge as the most stylish motorcycle in the 125cc category.

The fuel tank can accommodate 10 liters of  gasoline. New Discover ST runs on a pair of new design alloy wheels. Company claims the latest Discover has a top speed of 105 Kmph. Interestingly Bajaj has not disclosed the fuel efficiency.

The current generation Bajaj Discover 125cc offering will co-exist with this new offering.

Bajaj Auto Ltd is yet to announce the price of  Discover 125 ST. But according to latest reports  new Bajaj Discover will carry a price of  Rs 55,000, ex-showroom. Company’s dealers will start accepting bookings for new Discover by end of  this month. The deliveries are expected to begin by next month. The overall package  of the Bajaj Discover ST looks attractive. Discover ST’s future depends upon Bajaj Auto’s pricing strategy.
