2011 Hyundai Sonata 2.0T at 2010 New York Autoshow :-

In 2010 New York Auto show Hyundai debuted its 2.0L GDI engine on the new 2011 Hyundai Sonata at the 2010 New York Auto Show.
The 2.0L Theta II turbocharged GDI engine makes 274 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque across a broad rpm range – 1,800 rpm – 4,500 rpm. The twin-scroll turbo system design minimizes turbocharger lag and gives the Sonata 2.0T 4-cylinder more power than many V6 engines, while running on regular fuel.

The new 2.0L turbocharged gasoline direct-injection engine is part of Hyundai’s Blue Drive strategy. Mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission, Hyundai says that the Sonata 2.0T will deliver an estimated fuel-economy of 22/34 mpg (city/highway).

Hyundai has not yet announced pricing on the Sonata Turbo, but said it is pitting it against the 2010 Volkswagen Passat and the 2010 Ford Fusion Sport. The Passat starts at $27,945, including a $750 destination charge, while the Fusion Sport starts at $27,230, including a $725 destination charge. Expect the Sonata Turbo to end up in that neighborhood.

The 2.0T engine will be available on the SE and Limited trim level, with the 2.0T Limited getting additional upgrades.

2011 Mercedes-Benz R-Class :-

2010 New York Auto show, Mercedes-Benz revealed its R-class, probably R class sales as not reach to goal, due to this Mercedes Benz has officially unveiled its new 2011 Mercedes Benz R class in New York show. It upgraded its both interior and exterior as well.

Interior of R class cabin is left untouched, although it is now available with either a beige-on-brown or gray-on-black two-tone scheme. Six passenger seating remains standard, although a 7-passenger arrangement, the equipped with AMG sport interior optional, includes sports seats, Nappa leather, sports steering wheel, stainless steel pedals, wrap-around lighting system, blind spot assist system, NECK-PRO head pillow.

Coming to Exterior, designers deserted the narrow nose of the original R in favor of a long, broad hood, Ovoid headlamps are abandoned in favor of rectangular lenses that flow into the curved fenders. . LED running lamps one staple of the revamped GL lurk in the lower bumper openings in lieu of fog lamps. 17-inch, five-spoke aluminum wheels are standard, although a new sport appearance package adds AMG-designed 19-inch rims, along with smoked tail light lenses.

For North America, the R-class remains a two-model lineup. The 2011 R350 continues to utilize Mercedes Benz's 268-hp, 3.5-liter V-6. Diesel fans will likely want to spring for the R350 Bluetec, which uses the same 215-hp, 3.0-liter turbo-diesel V-6 as the ML350 Bluetec and GL350 Bluetec. Both the gasoline and diesel engines are mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission, which channels power to all four wheels via Mercedes' 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system.

Option packages and pricing for both 2011 R-class models are expected to remain similar to the 2010 model.

Volvo Buses is taking the step of replacing the previous 12-liter engine with the new 13-liter engine, the Volvo D13C, in the Volvo 9700 and Volvo 9900 coaches and for the chassis Volvo B13R.

Volvo Buses’ new engine is a straight six-cylinder diesel engine with turbo and intercooler. It has a one-piece cylinder head, overhead camshaft, four valves per cylinder and electronically controlled unit injectors.

The engine will be offered in 420hp and 460hp versions, and has more torque than its predecessor. The 420hp engine has 2100 Nm at 1100-1400 revs/min, while the 460hp engine has 2300 Nm at 1050-1400 revs/min.

The company said that despite the higher displacement, engineers have reduced the engine's weight by about 80 kilograms compared with the 12-liter engine. The combination of lower weight and higher torque provides the opportunity for a higher average speed.

The new engine combined with an adapted gear shifting strategy in the I-shift gearbox means that the bus can be driven at a lower number of revs, which reduces fuel consumption.

The Volvo Bus company , said: "Low fuel consumption is one of the absolute key factors for our customers. It was the main reason why we chose the SCR technology to meet the Euro IV requirements. As we shift to the new, modern 13-liter engine, we have succeeded in reducing fuel consumption even more. Our field tests indicate a further reduction of up to 5%

The driver also has the satisfaction of the Volvo 9900 being equipped with Volvo I-shift, the highly regarded automatic transmission system, which provides exceptional drivability due particularly to the number of gearshifts being minimized and enabling a high, uniform average speed to be maintained.

The engines and I-shift also contribute to favorable environmental characteristics and overall cost-efficiency. Volvo has elected to utilize SCR technology to meet present and future emission requirements. From today the 420-hp engine is available in an incentive version that complies with Euro 5. SCR is a simple, proven and reliable technology that contributes to lower fuel consumption. The Volvo I-shift has the comfort and smoothness associated with automatic transmission while still retaining the lower fuel consumption of manual shift.

The Volvo 9900 is 3.8 meters high and 2.55 meters wide. The range includes a 2 axle version 12.3 m long as well as 3 axle variants at 13.0, or 13.8 m.

BMW 5-series Activehybrid

Bmw activehybrid series 5 to launch its third hybrid model at Geneva motor show. The 5 series will officially go on sale in 2011. It will be a mild-hybrid version of the all-new 2011 BMW The ActiveHybrid 5 will follow in the footsteps of the 2010 BMW Activehybrid 7, its full size hybrid luxury sports car, and use much of the same hybrid system. In the 7-Series, a three-phase synchronous electric motor is connected to the crankshaft of the car's 4.4-liter gasoline V-8 engine and drives through a new 8-speed automatic transmission. Configuration, including automatic start / stop function, power recovery systems and so on. It is reported that BMW Activehybrid 5 will be at least 10% of the increase in fuel economy.The 5 Series uses a new derivative of the modular mild hybrid system from the larger 7. The 15 kilowatt electric motor from the 7 has been upgraded to a full 40 kW for the smaller sedan. That will allow the hybrid 5 Series to function as a full hybrid, operating in electric-only mode at city speeds. Unlike the twin-turbo V8 used in the earlier hybrids, the 5 uses the 300-horsepower twin-scroll turbo inline-six available in the 535i. A clutch between the engine and motor allows them to be disengaged for electric drive.

Bentley Mulsanne:-

British super luxury car brand Bentley on Saturday said it will launch two models priced well above RS 1 crore in the Indian market , as it looks to grow in the high end segment. The company unveiled its top end model “mulsanne”, which will be tagged at Rs 2.9 crore. The car, powered by a 6.7 litre V8 petrol engine, will be delivered to customers from October-November.
we will start global production of the mulsanne in the second half of the year from their plant at Crewe(UK) and the first delivery will start in October-November. Besides, we will also lunch convertible GTC supersport in India within six seven months.”Bentley regional director (the Middle East, Africa and Indian) Chris BUXTON.

Bentley used to produce the mulsanne between 1980 to 1992 when it was discontinued, but the new car has been reported to be entirely version. The twin turbo engine car is handcrafted at the Crewe plant and each car requires 660 man hours to assemble, as compound to 5-6 hours for any other any car . he said the car will be available in 6.25 billion trims and colors, each Car will be personalised according to the owner’s requirement and have a steel body and aluminum handle with a 220 watt in car amplifier.
The car is fitted with a revised version of Bentley’s 6.8-litre twin-turbo V8, which produces 512 horsepower and 1,020Nm of torque.

Honda Accord 3.5L V6 :-

Honda has launched its new Accord with 3.5-litre V6 engine and the most ‘electrifying’ feature, among others, is the electric sunroof. This premium sedan from Honda had it all in its previous versions and now, on customers’ demand, it has included one more feature of attraction. Talk about customer care!

Adding to the luxurious feel of the new Accord are Ambient Light and Footlight that will enable the passengers to see through the controls without any confusion. Today more than half of the tourist coaches and intercity buses delivered by Volvo are equipped with this stability-enhancing program. ESP significantly reduces the risk of the driver losing control over his vehicle in critical situations, for example in sharp curves or on slippery surfaces.

Long oil-change intervals mean low operating costs and less
environmental effect. When special oils are used, oil and filter
