Sophie finds her way to Emery the only way possible, thanks to his locked-down lifestyle. She wades into the world of BDSM at the Gilded Cuff, where Emery is a frequent and well-known dom. Sophie luckily finds her way to this mysterious man amidst all of the lust-driven players in the club, but she tips her hand before she’s had a chance to really get her foot in the door. I felt like Emery was far too easily convinced to accept her being around, what with him being so secluded from the rest of the world, but they had a good chemistry even though it was very insta-lust. Emery sees something in Sophie that could bring them both exactly what they wanted and needed, so he was willing to make the jump. They definitely went from 0 to 60 with their feelings for each other and Emery had a lot of moments that made him seem more traumatized child than alpha dom, but I appreciated his softer side that allowed him to open up to Sophie so he could finally have someone be there for him.

Where I had difficulty with this story was that we just get the IDEA planted for some aspects of the plot, but the depth was lacking. Based on the synopsis, I went into this read expecting a hard look into this Gilded Cuff world that we’re introduced to, with a plot that concentrated on Emery submerging Sophie into this lifestyle of being a submissive. I was prepared for Emery to be cold and closed-off, not allowing Sophie in until she had really earned the right to see his secrets and the sorrow he held from what had happened to him and his brother. But really, the story revolves almost entirely around Emery’s past is coming back to haunt him, and how Sophie was working to free him of it, both physically and emotionally. And it didn’t take much effort at all on her part to get Emery to crack, which I had trouble buying into. While I loved that at the root of it all she was trying to free him, I felt like there was so much more to their relationship, what actually happened to him when he was taken, and the dom/sub plot that was all left behind, so I was left wanting more. Not a bad story when all was said and done, so long as you go in expecting a much softer and sweeter version of what it’s made out to be.

If I thought Volume 1 was awesome, Volume 2 was STELLAR! Will she? Won't she? What will Cory decide??? HARDCORE is just that, hardcore. Tough decisions, anticipation, and intense emotion. I felt it all in this volume.

The choice was made before she even decided what to do. The problem now is that the lines aren't so simple anymore. Cory feels a deeper connection to Van and her conscious is tearing her apart. I really felt like I saw Cory make some significant growth in this volume. She's at an in between and it's time for her to sink to Jade's level of low or become the person she is in her heart. Van does that to her. He's a good man and I think he helps her see that she's worth more. Am I analyzing this too much? Maybe, but that's what I saw and that's why I found myself even deeper submerged into this tale.

On to the goods. Van. The sexy times were still pretty darn sexy, but there was an even stronger connection this time. There was much more emotion, because, well obviously...their feelings for each other are growing. Van wants more. He wants all of her. And really, she wants to give it to him, but she's just not sure how at this point. Then, the ultimate decision needs to be made.

I found myself flipping through this one. I think I read it even faster than I did the first one. You know when you keep tapping the last page and it just stops? IT WON'T MOVE! Yeah, I think that was the first time in a while I actually yelled out loud "NO!". I think you get the idea, I kinda love this story and I'm absolutely dying to see how it all turns out. Go get this series. You won't regret it!

I've had friends tell me for a while now that I would enjoy Hart's books and I have to say...they were right! WoW! From start to finish my adrenaline was pumping and my panties were on fire (in a good way)! I haven't been this excited about a series for a while.

This story was just so different than anything I've read. The uniqueness was in the details of the story. You can read the description to get an idea of what the story is about, so I'll just tell you what made this story rock for me.

I loved the relationship she has with her sister. I liked Cory right away, but seeing how she interacted with her sister showed me a softer more vulnerable side to her. I also liked her sister. I think she's much stronger than Cory gives her credit for. Maybe we'll see more of that in later volume's?

The fact that she jumped buildings for fun gave me a rush and a curiosity that surprised me. I was intrigued from the start and every time she started running, I wanted to join in! Maybe not the thieving part, but the high from jumping/running must be amazing!

My most favorite part was when she meets Van and the events with him that follow. At first, I thought Van was just a fellow thief, but he's a really good man. The chemistry they have is off the charts hot! Their sexy times definitely had me riled up. Not only is Van sexy, but he is sincere and genuine. He's looking for someone who can give him the same. And for the first time in her life, Cory can't help but fall. Of course, Cory is forced to make some decisions that could ruin everything. Oh the drama!

Hart has delivered the book that I've been waiting for. The book that I needed. I got originality, passion, adventure, and a craving for more...more...more! Bring on the next Volume! Seriously...get this book.

This is like a mystery unfolding before our eyes, but with the added thrill of Nic’s career getting mixed up in the danger and drama of the club. My stomach was in knots, there are literally just too many outcomes that spell disaster for Nic to count, and I’m just holding my breath until we find out which one is going to blow first! Vega has been her one grounding force throughout, and good lord they have some mouth-watering alone time this time around despite some unwanted interference. I so want Vega to be her knight in shining armor because he’s perfect for the part, but Nic frustrated the hell out of me with her lack of backbone in this one. Part of me hopes that she saves herself from whatever outcome fate brings her, just so we can see some inner strength instead of her being a doormat to everyone. Either way, I’m hooked and very grateful that I have ARCs of these addicting episodes, because there’s no stopping once you start on this journey!

Nic has had quite the adventure on her trip to Miami; she thought this was going to be all about her internship and boosting her career, but it’s turned into a twisted, dangerous, maddening spiral into the unknown. On the one hand, she and Vega are throwing caution to the wind and acting on their pent-up attraction, and on the other she’s fighting for a job, a huge story, and quite possibly her life if she doesn’t toe the line.

I was thrilled that we get more depth with Vega this time around, because this guy is sexy but a bit of an enigma. Seeing him with his family and being so free with Nic was a whole new side of him, and it was easy to see how perfect they’d be together. If only it weren’t for the obstacles in their way thanks to the web of deceit and corruption that the club has brought into her life.

Just when it looked like Nic was going to get a handle on all of this madness, Casper was suddenly making a play for her and wow does he ever have the cards to do it in this round! It was infuriating how he took advantage of Nic and her situation, but at the same time I struggled not to find this guy lickably delicious!! Casper has big plans, and as he revealed them to Nic there was a whole new can of worms opened up here that mean there’s plenty more excitement left for the final episode!

Wow, I did NOT see that one coming!! When we left Nic, Vega, and Casper in the last episode, she was determined to get her company back, Casper was looking forward to a future with her at the helm with him, and Vega was, well, heartbroken. He’d been yet another victim of the Hush Club and Casper’s careless whims, and Nic wasn’t about to let the deeds go unpunished. Just how she’d go about that and what huge secrets she was hiding remained to be seen, and they were definitely unexpected!

There is a HUGE reveal in this final installment that changes your perspective on everything, and I was reeling until my mind caught up with Nic’s secret. She truly bares all this time around, and it explains so much yet leaves her struggling to figure out how she’s going to use what she knows to her advantage. She becomes the protector for both Hayden and Vega, allowing her truths to buoy her in the fight to bring the Hush Club to its knees. It was so refreshing to see this side of her, because I was beyond ready to have her stand up and be the strong woman she was deep down.

By doing the right thing and letting Vega see her for everything that she is, Nic left herself very vulnerable. There was no guarantee he’d want to sign up for the chaos that her life brought with it, but she simply had to be up front with him. Vega was a good guy, sure, but Nic was dumping a hell of a lot on his plate. When everything wrapped up, the outcome was what I’d hoped but I felt like it all came together a little too perfectly. Nice faced some huge challenges, and while her strength was great to see, I wanted a bit more when it was all coming to the boiling point. But overall, this was a truly unique story with some great twists, and it’s sure to keep readers hooked right up to the last page!

This is not a light-hearted romance story by any means, so be warned that you need to go into this one prepared for the gritty, dark side of things. Drugs, murder, violence, and less-than respectable characters run amok, and it leaves a heavy cloak over the potential romance that is trying to bloom. Sasha and Adam are a couple who you truly hope can save each other and break the pattern of crap that they’ve been living through, but it’s an uphill battle and then some.

It all begins with being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Sasha and eleven other unlucky participants/witnesses (or lucky, depending on how you look at it) live through a drug dealer shooting at her work, each deciding it’s best to split the “victim’s” money and pretend like nothing ever happened. The body’s dealt with, they each get 6 figures, and Sasha has the contacts to get rid of the considerable amount of drugs that were left behind. Only problem is, her contact happens to be her ex Tommy, a selfish user who is deep into the drug world but doesn’t know when enough is enough. He causes more problems than he solves for Sasha, putting her life in grave danger and her way in over her head. Enter James, the deliciously sexy best friend who’s loved her from afar but couldn’t go there since Tommy was his cousin. You know, bro code and all that.

As for Sasha, I find it hard to connect with characters who are addicts or drug users, and I tried to keep an open mind seeing as how her situation was pretty messed up. But honestly, it pissed me off that she was weak when it came to her smarmy on-and-off-again enabling addict of an ex boyfriend. I’ll admit, the sex between them was pretty damned hot, but I felt dirty for thinking so afterwards. He was just icky, and I imagine he was supposed to be so that we see Adam in a much better light, but it tarnished Sasha a lot for me, too. When push came to shove and James was there for her every step of the way, I wanted more and more to like her and I think maybe I forced myself to forgive her for her shitty behavior. They were hot together, and their past made the sweet factor go up a bit. By the time the story was wrapping up, I was looking forward to them somehow working their way out of the crazy mess they were in. We don’t get your typical happy ever after here, not surprisingly, so it remains to be seen if we’ll see more of Sasha and Adam or if we’re just supposed to use our own imaginations on that one. I liked that it wasn’t all tied up with pretty strings, but ugh after what they’d been through it’s hard to not have clear closure on this one. Readers be ready to stick with this one for the long haul, because with each of the witnesses getting their own book, there’s sure to be more of Adam and Sasha…you just need to be patient.

I went into this story expecting to see a heroine sucked into a world of money, intrigue, and elitist types who were willing to do anything and anyone to get what they wanted...including give up their biggest and most damning secret. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg, because well before Nic even finds out about the mysterious Miami Hush Club, we learn a bit about the twisted roads she’s taken in life. She’s a single mom to Hayden, a little boy stricken with cancer but on the road to recovery, and she’s a responsible, hard-working woman looking to make it in the world so she can provide better for her son. But oooh, that’s not all! Her past, which is tied to her self-absorbed, bitchy, but “still family” sister, and a man she’d much rather forget, is starting to bleed into her new life, just as she’s coming undone over a man who made her feel alive again.

There are so many tangled webs here, and I’m dying to see how they all unravel or uncoil or blow up! On one hand, I love the devoted mom in Nic, but then she’s got this inner vixen that comes out in force for the yummy Vega, and wow it’s hot!! Then there’s the club, which she’s jumped into with blinders on and could very well mean an end to so many things for her. Will she mess up and bring down the wrath of whoever is running the show? Will her ex come back to ruin everything she’s worked for? I for one can’t wait to find out!!

This wasn’t at all what I expected, and you have to appreciate that in a literary world where everything’s being done and rehashed 1,000 times over. I went into this read expecting a scorned woman finding new and more meaningful love with a younger man, and in a way that’s true. Lisa’s husband ripped her heart out and left her lonely, and when Braden came back into her life he was the perfect breath of fresh air. But, here’s the rub…Braden was her son’s friend and almost two decades her junior.

I’m all for age differences in a romance story so long as it works and flows well, but it was really hard for me to wrap my mind around Lisa and Braden. She was likable enough, with her newfound willingness to grab life by the horns and move on after pain. But when the sexy and self-assured Braden waltzed in all ready to show her how grown up he was, I couldn’t get past the fact that this was a young man in his early twenties acting out his attraction to a friend’s mom. They really had nothing in common, were at completely different places in their lives, and had known each other in a way that made them being together just awkward for me. Sure, the steamy scenes were sexy and well-written, but I wanted different characters to be acting them out!

I have to hand it to Juliet Jaret, because despite all of my misgivings about the setup for this story, it was different and didn’t have the cliché’d happily ever after ending you’d expect. So as much as I might not have loved how we got there, I was pleasantly surprised with Lisa and Braden’s choices when everything was coming to a close. Overall, this may not have been something I’d gravitate towards, but it was a good story that brought something new to the table.

Holy hell, what a ride! I can honestly say this series is unlike anything I’ve read, and that comes with a lot of positives but also some negatives. Taking a sex-driven alpha porn star, giving him a huge soft side for his best friend, and then making their love story work is no easy task, and I have to give Bianca Giovanni props for what she’s done here.

The history that James and Lola shared was probably my favorite part of this story, because I loved that they’d shared so much over the years. It was very much like a brother-sister relationship seeing as how he was always screwing anything female and then turning around to protect Lola’s purity. Hypocritical, yes, but sweet nonetheless. Then they went and grew up, and the awkward between phase left Lola spreading her wings and James getting paid for exactly what he was good at. James had all the traits of a gifted porn star; trust me, we’re in his head a lot and he thinks exactly how you’d expect a man whose life revolves around being great at sex to think. But then he’s got this other side of him, and it’s not the profound depth you’d get from some male characters, but it’s big for HIM, this man who runs on autopilot, and it makes him real.

When I read Revealed, which I give 3.5 stars and will refer to as “Stage 1” of James and Lola becoming ‘Jola’, I was not sold on this guy. He was very much about making himself feel good and making a name for himself at that point. Lola, while always his precious angel, was not yet really a factor in his decisions and actions, and James was in denial about his feelings for her. While they were sweet together, there was no romance, and I couldn’t see how James was every going to win me over. Then Captured happened, and yeah, I’m definitely feeling the draw to this guy. He still frustrated the hell out of me when he acted out on his base urges early on, because HELLO I want a romance not just sex. But ooooooooooh wow was the sex hot, I mean I almost felt guilty loving how incredible James was at making women other than Lola writhe and moan….almost! I think that’s the brilliance in it though, because if Lola and James had been deeply invested emotionally all along, I would have hated him for going back to what he was doing. So, as much as I wanted more of an emotional punch from them together, I think it would have ruined the whole relationship by making James into a cheating manwhore, instead of just a guy doing his job, enjoying the aftermath, and living in denial about his feelings for his soulmate.

While there may not be a whole lot of depth yet into the emotional well that is Jola (and while there IS a lot of growing up to do), we do see James in several situations that have his heart in tattered shreds, and they were painful. I love him for this side, the part of him that can be so brutally crushed, and it makes him a much better man for his Lola. Though I wasn’t always in his corner and there was a lot more sex than love at times, I’m sold on this series and I look forward to seeing what’s next for James and Lola. They’ve made it through the first huge hurdles, and I’m pulling for them to get whatever version of walking off into the sunset Bianca Giovanni feels fits them best!

There was a lot of pain for them to work through if they were going to get back on the right track.

The undercover case took a bit of a backseat to all of Riley and Kara’s relationship drama, but the boys were determined to put a stop to innocent women falling prey to the sick bastards who were abducting them. When everything came to the boiling point, the aftermath was painful and rocked the team to the core. Once again, the supporting characters were a treat for this series, and it was hard to see them going through a tragedy. On the plus side, we get to see a lot of Riley’s brother Declan, whose cocky attitude was an entertaining addition, and the Regulators Motorcycle Club boys were all kinds of alpha dog yumminess that I can’t wait for more of in the spinoff Regulators MC series!! Bottom line, this is another smoking hot sexy hit for Jesse Lane with a promise of more great things to come!

Livia filled up the dogs water bottle while Blake dropped the beer bottles in the recycling.

She laughed when he came up behind her and nuzzled her neck.

“Is this a three beer pass you’re making or a four beer?”

He laughed against her skin. “Hey Mrs. Judgypants, how many glasses of wine did you have?”

“Once it’s opened it’s useless. We had to drink it.” She turned in his arms. He was glowing. Being with his brothers did it to him. It might have been how unsafe they felt growing up, but when, as adults they were able to relax together it. It was a victory, just their laughter, their easiness. “You smell like the fire.”

He kissed her then, deep and demanding. She agreed with his physical invitation. He took her hand and led her out to the backyard. She shivered a bit. The fire was almost embers, just enough to see his face while her eyes adjusted to the dark.

“Outside, again?” She teased him.

“You know I love it best when you’re wearing nothing but the stars.”

She sighed. He still knew what to say.

Blake led her to their hammock.

“And the hammock?” She was grateful she chose a long dress for the dinner party.

“You can wear the hell out of that too.” Blake lifted her in his arms, as he slid her down to her feet, he used the tips of his fingers to trail her legs, catching the hem of the dress pulling it above her waist before setting her down.

After he had her situated, he made no move to take off his own clothes, kneeling in front of her like he was about to pray. Within the time it took her to gasp, Blake was tasting her and using the mesh in the hammock to his advantage, slipping his fingers inside of her slowly first then at a strong pace.

She had to beg him to get him to stop after she came, tilting backwards in the hammock and motioning for him on the other side. Even upside down she knew how to find him, her unconventional position allowing her to take him deeper in her throat than usual.

Finally he was the one to pull away, making his way to the other side, he adjusted himself to enter her and used the swinging hammock to increase their friction and speed.

Nether noticed the endless, ominous squeaking from the hooks buried in the trees, lost in their own pleasure. When Blake sat down next to her in the hammock, both screws pulled out form their anchors simultaneously. They hit the ground butt first with a hard thud.

First, they moaned with the immediate ache they felt in their tailbones. Then the two laughed so hard together that they had trouble catching their breath.

Blake wrapped her in his arms and reclined on the grass. She pat his chest gently, loving the tap back from his heart and his white smile. He looked amazing cloaked in stars, too.

Not for the faint of heart but a must-read for those of us who can appreciate the beauty in a truly dark romance, Knight takes readers on a painful and twisted journey with a woman who has faced a nightmare of agony and humiliation. An unnamed heroine for most of the story, her existence has been torn down to two identities- ‘slave’ to the bastard that took her, and any number of endearments that her rescuer, detective Smith James, has bestowed upon her. When he found this shell of a woman- terrified, beaten, and jonesing for her next hit- dominant Smith was disgusted by the way she had been treated. But what started out as his attempt to help her through detox and get her on her feet turned into so much more. She needed a Master to bridge her way from slavery into reality, and Smith was her choice whether he wanted it or not.

I absolutely LOVED the premise of this story! Lydia, our “Jane Doe” heroine, had quite literally been through hell and back, and she was this fragile shell on the verge of cracking into a million tiny pieces. Her muddled and terrified thoughts of utter paranoia were brilliantly written, I felt as though I was reliving all of her fears and pain right along with her as she tried to get through each day. The experience was horrific, but she had made it through the hard part…or had she? She was in such a state of distress and insecurity that she was desperate for that strength and stability that a true dom, not the piece of shit that raped and beat her, would give her. And Smith…oooh, lord, Smith. I just wanted to lick him and have him bend me over to spank me for the fun of it, he was so yummy!! So strong for Lydia at every turn, but so torn over the role he was playing in this madness. He was the epitome of the dominant male, a pillar of fortitude for his sub but tender with her when she needed it. And a “Holy shit sexy!!” one at that, I honestly got goosebumps when he finally ‘claimed’ his woman! I loved him, just loved him.

Then there were the twists, and damn they came unexpectedly and wrenched my heart! Just when you think to yourself “well this became a happy ending pretty early on…”, Sykes rips apart that reality and you’re left to wrap your mind around the next crossroads for Lydia. I never once got bored or irritated going through her struggled thoughts with her, you really just experience the therapeutic discussions in her mind as she does. Reality for her had been forever altered, and Sykes did an amazing job at making all of it progress in a believable way.

When all was said and done, this was a gut-wrenching, meaningful, deeply twisted love story that readers will have trouble putting down, and I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a great dark read!

“Then you simply refuse the dessert, my darling, but of course you know what that will mean for us.”

“I’m scared; doesn’t that matter to you?”

“Don’t be scared. You don’t have to choose anything, you know that. If none of them appeal to you, then all you have to do is tell Laura. There’s no pressure on you, Gracie, it’s only that . . .”

Trembling, Grace looked at him, and saw the regret in his eyes. She wanted to go on, to take the final step into the unknown, but the descriptions on the cards didn’t give her enough of a clue for her to dare to choose anything with any confidence.

“The tiramisu should be nice,” murmured Amy, leaning close to Grace so that no one near could hear. “Choose that. You’ll be fine.”

As Grace hesitated, Amber came to their table. “Is there a problem?” she asked.

Looking up, Grace saw that Amber had guessed what was happening and was enjoying it. She also noticed that Amber had rested one hand possessively on David’s left shoulder. “No, I’m spoilt for choice, that’s all,” she said brightly. “I think I’ll go for the Tantalizing Tiramisu. Laura wrote it down and went away and Amy smiled and touched Grace’s arm encouragingly while Amber merely nodded before walking off. All around them groups of three were getting up from their tables and making their way out of the dining room.

“Well done,” said David. With a sigh of relief he pushed back his chair. “We’re in the study for dessert tonight aren’t we, Amy?”

Amy nodded.

“Aren’t you coming too?” asked Grace.

“No, I’m hardly ever involved at a guest’s first trial. My skills are for the higher tables. Good luck though,” she added more quietly, “and try to enjoy it. It’s one of the best

choices you can get.” With that, Amy hurried off to join another group.

Grace felt bereft as she watched her go. Now she knew that whatever lay ahead she had to cope with it on her own, because she was certain that no one else was going to help her in any way at all.

Silently David guided Grace out of the dining room, down the hallway and along a short corridor. He then opened a concealed door and she stepped inside.

“Hello,” said Amber, getting up from a chair to greet her. “Do come in. Andrew and I are both so pleased you chose the tiramisu.”

She glanced down at her bikini, and then upward again, scanning his bare chest and hoping she wasn’t drooling, because she was so over wanting him. She took the glass and sipped from the straw. Blake made room and sprinted upstairs to get their end of the monitor. Livia met him back under the tree with a bottle of chilled wine and one glass.

He set up the monitor before meeting her picnic-style on the floor.

“Only a few more years of this tradition before it gets too risky.”

“Don’t you mean risqué? Only one glass?” Blake took the bottle and opened it with a quiet pop.

“The rest are dirty.”

“I’m going to show you dirty in a minute.” Blake handed her a full glass before toasting her with the bottle.

Livia sighed, “The wooing has fallen so far, Mr. Hartt. It used to be all smile counts and poetry. Now we just call sex ‘the dirty.'"

“Not enough romance for you, Mrs. Hartt? I’d like you to know I took the trash out and walked the dog before bringing all my game to this carpet.” Blake took a long gulp from the bottle.

“You’re going to have a hangover tomorrow.” Livia let him have her glass, and he set it on the coffee table.

“I’m not worried about tomorrow. I’m worried about right now, with you, under this Christmas tree.” Blake supported her neck as he lay her on the floor.

Livia turned her head. “You better convince me. So far you’ve talked about the dog going to the bathroom, trash and dirtiness.”

Blake kissed her jaw and turned her head gently, kissing her mouth as she bit her lips together.

“Can’t I just convince you with my manly ways?” He wiggled his eyebrows.

He could, of course, do just that —but she shook her head. She loved the playful sparkle in his green eyes. His five o’clock shadow just made him more handsome, framing his kissable lips with scruff.

“Okay.” He put his fingers at the bottom of her shirt, lifting it gently so he could circle her belly button with his index finger. He put all of his considerable attention on her then, slightly fuzzy from his alcohol intake. “You’re the sexiest, most beautiful woman on this planet. So sexy, in fact that I had to have you. I'm not quite sure what I want to say. In all honesty, I was a bit confused in the beginning of the book. Their whole meeting just seemed a bit odd to me. I mean, I'm all for chance encounters and stranger lovin', but still... So, I suppose I'll get to what did work for me and go from there.

John and Kay had a lot of potential. I liked their chemistry from the start and was really interested to see where the story would take them. John is a criminal defense attorney and he's haunted by some of the cases he's won. So, to help him with his "issues" he uses sex. Specifically BDSM. He has the need to dominate and control. Kay, on the other hand, is a special ed teacher and is not familiar with the lifestyle, but she's so drawn to John that she's not opposed to trying it out. She essentially becomes the perfect sub.

The best part about the novella is the sex. Their first encounter was really nice, but the gold medal moment for me was when John took her to get fitted for her "contraptions". Erik, the artist, was fantastic and really added a nice element to the story. Adding Erik into the mix showed that John was getting more serious about Kay, despite his reluctance to get into a relationship. But yeah, the "fitting" was ridiculously hot!

Overall, I did end up liking it despite a bit of an awkward start. In fact, I feel a bit sad that things seemed to end unfinished. I wanted to know more about how their relationship was going to develop. I think I thought this was going to read more like a serial, but it's really a short story. BUT, if you're looking for something short and definitely sexy, check it out.

When I read the first volume in this series, I just knew that Jillian and Dean were going to have many steamy scenarios for me to enjoy in future installments, and Erika Wilde proved me correct. I loved the concept here from the start, with an empty nester couple trying to rekindle and spice up their love life. Sure, if we’re going by the cover models they are most definitely not your typical married couple sending their child off to college…I mean, honestly, those cover models are HOT. But that doesn’t take away from the fact that they suffer through the same dry spell that many married couples do, and WOW do they ever find a way to breathe life back into those stolen moments!!

Throughout the course of these four volumes, readers are treated to a varied assortment of erotic “honey do’s,” everything from fantasy role play to light BDSM. It was fun and all kinds of seeeexy as both Jillian and Dean got to choose their poison for the day in order to kick things in the right direction. Jillian has quite the hidden vixen inside her that was itching to come out, and HOLY HELL did Dean play the role of strong and masculine alpha to perfection. He will leave readers panting, and his adventurous woman will have wives calling upon their inner Jillian when they want to feel like the ultimate seductress! Overall, I really enjoyed reading their adventures, and though I wish we could have gotten to know them a bit more than we did beyond the thrilling sex, it’s still a crowd-pleaser that doubles wonderfully as a how-to for spicing things up a bit!

City and Suzy were back to their hyper-sex-drive selves as they were bustling to try and get things ready for her walk down the aisle, and it was cute seeing all of the Gallos together while they ironed out details. Ma’s still itching for grandkids, Michael has his hands full with Mia, Anthony is staying true to his player persona, and Izzy was her usual snarky self. They are an entertaining bunch to say the least, and there’s never a dull moment as they spar and jab with each other at every turn!

This was a nice tie-in to Izzy’s story (up next), while giving readers a bit more of the couple that we loved. There was just enough drama to put things into question, but really it was obvious where things were going to go. Readers will be happy that their pleas for more of the delectable City were answered though, and with the mirror-steaming stolen moments between them as an added bonus…well, yeah, it’s a win-win!!

Hi there! Thanks so much for having me today on your blog to talk about my newest release, How to Reprimand Your Rock Star. This book features a world-famous rocker as its hero so I’m here to talk about the musical inspiration for this book.

Let me start by saying this, I’m a big emo/punk fan, so most of the music featured today will be along those lines. It was what I listened to when I wrote the book, and it’s how I picture Trickster City—Keaton Lowe’s band—to sound. So, without further ado, here are the bands who inspired How to Reprimand Your Rock Star, along with my favorite tunes that go along with the book.

Fall Out Boy

Ok, so fans of my books know that I love me some FOB. Their music is energetic, the lyrics are deep and clever, and I love the personalities of the band members. If I had to pick three songs that would work for How to Reprimand Your Rock Star, I’d pick these:

-Bang the Doldrums—this song is fast-paced, catchy, and totally something Keaton would cover! Also, I love all the lyrics. Each and every one.

-Death Valley—This song has a line “I want to see your animal side”, which reminds me of how Thea and Keaton sort of let it all out with each other and indulge in new, sexy explorations.

-Of All the Gin Joints in the World—Along with its addictive singalongability (made that up, sorry, had to), this song has the line “Turn off the lights, and turn off the shyness, cause all of your moves make up for the silence”. This reminds me of Thea because she drops her shyness and innocence with Keaton and really starts to explore who she is.

Panic! At the Disco

Panic is one of my favorite bands because they have soaring, exciting music, compelling lyrical content and BRENDON URIE IS SO HOT. My HTRYR song choices are:

-Lying is the Most Fun a Girl Can Have With Her Clothes on—Ok, all you need to do to understand where I’m coming from is to listen to the song and try to keep your panties on. It’s impossible. Even if you’re in a car. You will want to fuck a rocker, stat.

-Hurricane—Hurricane is a very pop song with lots of claps and it makes me think of the basketball side of this book. It reminds me of something they’d play in a stadium to get people pumped. I can picture Thea just getting ready for a big game to this song!

-Nicotine—This song makes you kind of stress and obsess over who you’re with. You’re infatuated but they may not be good for you. Thea has lots of insecure thoughts about Keaton early on, but she can’t shake her feelings for Keaton.

Green Day

Green Day is the most important band in this blog post for one reason—Billie Joe Armstrong. His personality on stage was a huge inspiration for Keaton. He’s whimsical, tricky and an absolute charmer. Here are the songs I listened to most when writing.

-Blood, Sex and Booze—This song is LITERALLY about a Domme and the singer! It starts off “waiting in a room, all trussed up and bound and gagged tied to a chair”…HELLO! There’s an image I like. Give it a listen and picture Thea and Keaton!

-Night Life—This one has a female part, a seductive siren that’s compelling the singer to do things he shouldn’t. It reminds me of Scarlett, since she’s such a pro at being a Domme and how she can pretty much charm the pants off anyone.

-Wild One—This is the ultimate HTRYR song. I pictured this song when I wrote the scene when Thea first sees Keaton on stage. It’s so swoony, and it’s how Keaton feels about Thea—she’s his Wild One. If you listen to ANY songs on this list, make this the one!

I have a confession to make; I have yet to finish The Red Years series, and I will warn readers now that you should really get that series wrapped up before reading this. But for those of you who have caught up and are ready to dive into The White Years, you are in for a sinfully sexy and delightful trip down memory lane with The Saint!

Written in the tone of an erotic bedtime story to a certain younger man who shares some seriously steamy moments with her (I’m not telling!!!), this book takes us on a journey to Eleanor and Soren’s first moments and first years together, and it was absolutely lovely. I was drawn to every word as Soren and his Eleanor’s hearts and bodies silently cried out in desperation the instant that their eyes met. It was like this magnet was pulling them together and they had no control over fate putting them in each other’s path, and you could literally feel the need for them to be together and in each other’s lives from that moment on. For me, this wasn’t just a rehash of Nora’s past; it was an intricate look back into their lives that finally gave me the depth I always needed in order to feel like I really knew them.

When I read The Siren, Soren was a tough one for me, because he is a man driven by pain and I wasn’t sure what to make of his indifference. I grew to love him in The Angel, even with his dark and violent desires, and I accepted him for what he is. The Saint made me see a vastly different side to him, taking the reader through so many moments in time with young Eleanor that varied from sweet and tender to brutally honest. He bared his soul to her and showed her exactly what he was, what he’d need from her, and what she meant to him. It was beautiful, watching this man who clearly is a spiritual man of the cloth promise to give himself to her because he just instinctively knew that Eleanor was the one woman he was meant to have. The wait for young Eleanor to mature and be truly ready for what he had to offer was excruciating, but SO worth it in the end!!

Having met both Soren and Nora as adults in The Red Years, it was really refreshing seeing both of them younger and not so jaded by life. Young Eleanor was just as fun and sassy as domme Nora, and getting to witness what she went through in her teen years really was an eye-opener in terms of her character. She bore a lot of guilt and pain, and it made me love her even more seeing how she rose above with the help of our beloved Soren and Kingsley. And her interactions with Soren before she knew anything about his secret life, with all of her spunk and quick quips aimed at the man who was the epitome of a dominant sadist, cracked me up!

I truly loved this story and Tiffany Reisz continues to astound me with her wicked genius. Her characters and the intricate webs she weaves through her captivating words are just incredible. I must say, there was a reveal from The Red Years here that I was disappointed to discover, and it will be a spoiler for anyone who hasn’t read to the end of that series yet. But I still want more of these characters, so I plan to go back and start The Prince soon, and it would never keep me from giving everything I’ve read from Tiffany Reisz thus far a huge thumbs up!!
