I should really get some time to make a complete makeover here and update my stuff. We will see how time will go for me to do so. In the mean time, please have some patient with me. I am doing my best!

First off all, I almost finished my study. About more then a week ago I had my end presentation at school. There was a total of 35 listeners and it took me 40 minutes for my presentation. The presentation went perfect and their were not a lot of questions which mean I put up a good story (I hope). So now it is time for me to wait two weeks until I know if I passed my study or not. Wish me luck!

Next week I got my second interview for a company which approached me for a job. This is a nice change cause as starters they contacted me, and second of all they offer me a job which I like to do.

A other great news is that my sister gave birth to a baby. It is a cute little boy and so cute to see. The mom is doing perfect, and so is the baby. A few tough times but he will be all good. It is lovely to see a new life get on this world.

Yet this world also has some downsides. This week I also lost my granddad. It is still a bit unclear to me how he died but it is better for me to only know he died in a peaceful way as far I know. He had a good and long life and he will surely be missed!

Now some more good news. Only a few weeks and I will be in Florida with a good friend of mine. It is Disney time then and I am sure we will have the time of our life. Of course we will take loads of pictures and this time I will do my best to also write a little blog (If I am not having too much fun!).

As I don’t have school work at the moment I am trying to do the things I wanted to do when I was studying. Except hanging out with friends, gaming and cleaning (which my mom wants me to do and not me) I also want to work on my website (this site yea). I want to change the layout of this blog. Make it more in different sections like Personal, Rambling, Gaming and some more. Also do I want to make some in-game movies of the game I am playing lately (Battlefield 2142) and do more with DIALux and my portfolio. But most important, even tho it sounds strange I want to get this job and start working a normal 5-days work week with the evenings off!!

Well, this is all for now. Will do my best to keep you all up to date from now on.

Now to be honest. I am the kind of person when he gets something as a gift from someone he is afraid to use it. More like I am afraid to ruin it or damage it. But then again. If I dont use it. I think the one who gave it to me wouldnt like it. So I unpacked it, doodled a bit on it and made some pictures. The idea of this Piggy Bank is to save for my trip to florida. Just think it is to small to hold all that money, atleast it protects my small coins very well. Good Job Piggy!!!

what looked like some serious hacking. What she was actually doing was a bit different, she was managing her website that went by the name of

“Fortune.org”. This site, being the most massive user driven “Forum” website ever made, was the work of an 18 year old girl named Hannah

Potes. She had dabbled in web design before, but never really got into it until she put up Fortune.

There wasn’t much to manage, since pretty much anything went on the website, but something caught her eye. A post someone had put up. It was put up by /d/, just like every other post, since everyone had to use that name. The picture put up next to the post was a rotating earth that was on fire. But the interesting thing was the contents of the post itself.

“Dear /d/,
I have a friend, yes, a REAL friend, that says he’s going to do something that could hurt a lot of people, I can’t say exactly what it is he’s doing, but it sounds like it could be dangerous. I just had to get that off my chest,

Thanks /d/!”

Being the administrator of the website, she could see where the person lived. Mount Vernon, OH, 43050.

Never heard of Mount Vernon, Hannah thought to herself. She contemplated what it could be that could “hurt a lot of people”. She replied to the post with a smartalic response.

“I bet it won’t beat Cho’s highscore.” She typed, grinning to herself. Evil, but she thought it was rather witty. Her alarm started to ring, indicating that it was time to head out to school. So she got her books, and started heading out to her car, but not before giving a small chuckle at the post she had replied to…

I specially liked this application as you can run and edit websites without the need of a public server with php and/or MySQL.

The Xampp userpanel is easy to use and looks slick. With one press on the button you are able to activate and deactivate a function, or enter the admin panel to change settings.

Now it is nice to run a webserver on your USB stick but thats not all I wanted. I installed the portableapps platform and modded it. This gave me the change to change the layout theme to something I like more. After that I went to install some other applications.

I installed the following applications to use while building websites, or atleast pretend that I can build websites.

• XAMPP, this is used to run the webservers.
• FileZilla Portable, this is used for a ftp connection. Not that this is needed but looked like fun
• GIMP Portable, for the graphic touches.
• Firefox Portable, I just enjoy using firefox so it had to be there.
• Thunderbird Portable, when testing mail scripts and such.
• Nvu Portable, a simple WYSIWYG html/php editor. A mix of Frontpage and Dreamweaver.

Just to let you know. This power supply uses a old computer ATX power supply. I know these ain’t the most reliable power supply’s for PIC’s and such. But for my purposes it is just perfect. A nice part of a ATX power supply is that it already delivers certain outputs these are +3.3V, -5V, +5V, -12V and +12V. With these output’s I can even combine. By using the -12V together with the +12V I can get a 24V output. But wouldn’t it be nicer if we could actually control the 24 output and make it variable from min till max output?

But enough of the technical stuff for now. Let us focus on what I want this thing to actually do and list it down.

• A on and off switch with light indicator,
• A variable output from around the 0V till 24V,
• Several outputs from +3.3V, -5V, +5V, -12V and +12V,
• A 0V (GND) output,
• Several USB connectors (5V) for charging and testing.

These things are pretty easy to build and will be certain build in the power supply. But I also have a few options which are still floating in my head and thinking about giving that also a place in the power supply. Here a little list of those items.

• A testing unit for LED’s,
• A testing unit for fuse’s,
• Volt and Ampere display for the variable output (even possible to make this to be used as a simple Volt/Ampere meter for circuits),
• Circuit tester.

One thing I should also think about is the casing for the whole power supply. First I wanted to build it in the old PC case. But after thinking more about it I realised that the PC case is a bit of a overkill. Yes, it is big so it offers alot of space for all components. But I can’t say it is easy to transport around. Online I seen a few other people do the same but they build everything in the power supply. On one side this is a good idea, however the downside is when the power supply dies you got to pull out all of the components and stuff and build it into a new one. And I want to build it so that when the supply dies, I can swap it out with a new one. Also the powersupply itself doesn’t have enough room for me to build in everything I want to build in it.

I have found a nice housing for my power supply. Just this item also has a few downside’s. First of all and most important, THE PRICE. This piece of plastic costs around the 60 euro’s. Now, I am not a cheap ass. But to pay so much for a housing is to much. A other downside is that I am not sure if the supply will fit in it or the extra’s I want. I could make the power supply to fit in it. But then it wouldn’t be easy to change the supply if it is broke.

Now, while I know what I want I can start with harvisting the supply’s I need and keep my eye out for the perfect housing (or not!).

I have a few little idea’s.

• Wall-E USB charger: Adding USB sockets in his stomach to charge up USB powered devices.
• Wall-E Card reader: Use his stomach to fit in a card reader.
• Wall-E Digital clock: Try to find a nice small digital clock and build it in his stomach.
• Wall-E Default: He is cute anyway. Why fuck it up?
• Wall-E Wireless project: Dude, you got enough time (not). Build a Bluetooth storage device in it!
• Wall-E Webcam: Score a cheap webcam and build it in the stomach.
• Wall-E …………..: ……………………………………………………………… .

New Years Resolution: a promise that you make to yourself to start doing something good or stop doing something bad on the first day of the year.

A few common used New Year’s resolution are: get fit, get thin, get hot, get laid.

And mostly the common outcomes are: stay out of shape, stay fat, stay ugly, masturbate.

Still it is nice for people to have New Years Resolutions. Even tho most of the time these don’t work out. Or you don’t believe in them. Also hard to find any resolutions to work on.

Mostly is this a goal that you propose and then forget the next day.

Now don’t get me wrong, I am not Mr. Scrooge. I don’t hate Christmas. But I am not the person to decorate either. The fact is mostly cause of me selling Christmas trees at work that I can’t see a single tree anymore. That doesn’t mean that my parents can’t go decorate crazy. Luckily they have a fake Christmas tree, but it still looks pretty. Also the outside gets a complete makeover. Which means a lot of lights.

Well, I can keep talking about it but why not show a few nice pictures.

How often don’t you feel like you want to change the world? Haven’t you wanted things to go easier with less problems. Wouldn’t it be nice if the world we live in were just a big chunk of code? Wouldn’t that be easy when we have a problem? A few lines of code changed and viola, problems gone!

I have a Dremel and have been buying various router bits for it lately. I was thinking that I could buy one of those Dremel Router tables but, that would be kind of limiting. So then I thought what about building a Dremel Duplicator. It would have three axes and could be utilized much like a CNC Router with the added advantage of copying an existing object.

The one and only essential of life, COFFEE! Yes, it is true. Coffee is and always will be a essential of life. Well to be honest I don’t know 100% if this is true or right. But there are a few things I can tell you about this subject.

Coffee is the key to a long life.

According to Professor Gary Williamson, from the department of food science at Leeds University, who has produced a list of 20 “lifespan essential” foodstuffs. He said that foodstuffs on the list, which is dominated by fruits and vegetables, can also help to slow down the ageing process by helping to protect cells from the natural damage that occurs over time.

And guess what is also on the list? Yes, COFFEE!! (Also on the list is dark chocolate, yay!)

Coffee the most consumed beverage.

There are around 400 billion cups of coffee consumed worldwide, this making coffee the world most popular consumed beverage.

Almost 91% of coffee consumed is taken at breakfast, and sometimes actually is breakfast. About 79% of coffee consumed is served from the homes of coffee drinkers. The second place where coffee is most consumed is in the workplace. A coffee drinker averages 2-3 cups of coffee a day.

‘Kaveh Kanes’ were the names of the first coffee houses set up in Mecca, which was the main place of trade for the berries.

I was stumbling online (out of boredom as ussual) and I found this book. It’s called Cubicle Warfare – 101 Office Traps and Pranks by John Austin.

A teenage girl risks everything when she falls in love with a vampire.

Thats the plot of the movie in one line. A movie about a teenage girl, with her teenage problems. A strange town and an even stranger family. This is Twilight. A movie with vampires, werewolves and a twist of a Romeo and Juliet love story in it.

The plot summary kinda goes like this:

Bella Swan has always been a little bit different. Never one to run with the crowd, Bella never cared about fitting in with the trendy, plastic girls at her Phoenix, Arizona high school. When her mother remarried and Bella chooses to live with her father in the rainy little town of Forks, Washington, she didn’t expect much of anything to change. To just put it simple. Twilight is a good movie. Me as a fan of vampires, movies and even better, vampire movies really enjoyed watching it. And I can’t wait to see the second movie.

For those that wonder what the hell? Yes, these are little remote controled helicopters. They come with a small battery and a remote controle (doh) and are able to be used in house to play around with. Or annoy a little cat as they also like these things.

Just to let you know. A cat does 2 things when seeing this (well probally 3 but option 3 didn’t happen with us)

Option 1: The cat runs away scared, tail between it’s legs.

Option 2: The cat sits still, looking at the helicopter. Fascinated by this device and feels the need to come closer but not close enough.

Option 3: Grab, scratch, bite, bye bye helicopter (the bad option)

But now I am talking about cats while I was talking about this helicopter.

If you know someone who doesn’t respect electricity have them watch the above video from Fast MHz. The best part of the video is around the 21 second mark when a Dell power supply is zapped with 16kj of electricity. It looks like the power supply may have permanent damage from the experiment! The subwoofer shown at the 56 second mark has a remarkably long throw, must be a very expensive speaker. Or maybe the speaker was over voltaged.

Lego is the same as Disney Land. It doesn’t matter how old you are. You are still young enough to play with Lego. When I was little I liked it to build stuff myself. When I got older I never bought kits, I just wanted random parts and then let my mind run free on building things.

Since lately a good friend of mine introduced me back to lego. Even better, she bought me a kit. Well, not my first kit but a kit. It was the Helicopter Transporter, mainly cause I just love helicopters. And admit it, this one looks cool doesn’t it? It’s all orange an has a nice truck to transport it. Also orange! And even better, it has a special motor transporter which is also ORANGE!

Well, enough talking about the color. Just to let you know I enjoyed building it and of course I took pictures. Here are some pictures to start with, these are mostly of how it looks finished and not the building part

To make it a bit easier for you all to read I will just post little parts about the activities that happened.

Disneyland Paris,
Let’s start off with one of the best things that happened. I went to Disneyland Paris! And yes, I got a picture with Mickey to prove it! I went with a good friend of mine, Ragdoll. We stayed for a total of 4 days and had a lot of fun. During those 4 days we were able to almost get into every ride we wanted to do and seen a lot of parades and characters. On top of that we had dinner in Cafe Mickey, a restaurant where the characters walk by your table and go on the picture with you. You are never too old to go to Disneyland and meet the awesome characters. A bonus was that we went around Halloween so the whole park was transformed into a Halloween theme.

Study,
This will probably be the first time I write positive about my study. I been working hard lately on my study and got a internship at a good company. They help me out lots with my study and now the exam commission even accepted my projects and allowed me to make those for graduation. This takes away a lot of pressure of my shoulders but also give me new pressure as I need to work well on my projects to graduate. Wish me luck!

Uncle Avalon,
Yes, I am going to become a uncle. My 4 years younger sister brought me this news last week. She is pregnant for 17 weeks already and I will become a uncle. Yay! I am very proud of my younger sister. Though I always thought I would be the first to get a kid. But then again, life is a mystery and you never know what will happen. Still I am really happy for her and can’t wait to take my uncle duties on me. By the way, I know the gender already but keeping it a secret from you guys.

Darts,
A few months ago I started playing darts again. I really enjoy this ‘sport’. It’s rather easy to start with and in the beginning you don’t need to spend much money into it. I did, but that just because I needed new darts and thought by myself that if I am going to buy new darts I could just buy a set of good ones right away. In the mean while I changed my darts a lot by changing the shafts and use different flights. I even bought my dad a new set darts for his birthday a while back and he is almost throwing me off the board. Luckily I am still better at checking out then him.

Friends,
The last few days/weeks/months I have seen and been realizing who my true friends are. I told earlier I wouldn’t go all negative in this post so I won’t either. I just wanted to say that now a day’s there are a lot of backstabbers and fake friends out there. And I am happy that the ones I call my friends are really 100% my friends and trust them completely. I am happy that whenever I am down or just need to vent there are people out there to comfort me and make me feel better. And I love you all for that. You take the meaning friendship to a whole other level.

Dialux,
Most of you probably don’t know what this mean or what it is. A view of you maybe will as you seen the video’s I posted on YouTube about it. Just to give a short instruction about it, DIALux is a program to draw rooms in a 3D environment and plant lights in them. Mostly used by companies to make light plans in them for clients. I started to use this program for work but am starting to enjoy it also on a more personal basis. I really enjoy the creating of an area and see how it comes to live with the right use of lights. It gives me an artistic feeling and hope to do more with this. The downside is that school is keeping me busy which doesn’t give me much time to play with the program. But I do hope to do more with it now and in the future.

Well, this is kind of all I had to say for now. I think I got more to tell but can’t find the words for it so I will save that for a next time. I do want to thank all of you who read this and hope you will leave a small reply.

Ok, so, first let me start out with saying the following…meep…

Now let me follow that up with a summary of what I’m going to be contributing here on Avalon’s website. You see, English has always been a passion of mine…Grammar, Punctuation, Spelling…..etc etc. So I’ve started writing a book! And what I’m going to do is share the book with all of you! Now, as I write this book, I would LOVE lots of feedback on it, what you think, what could be better/changed, because although I’m sure it will be a perfect book for all to love and read, I will be allowing you to pretend that it could be better So here is a summary of my book!

Basically, two boys, 19 years of age, Computer Whiz Zach Knopp/General Smart-Guy Clint Given…decide they want to start a project. A project that consists of psychological deception and great influence on the world. But they first must get the funding for such a project. Resorting to petty thievery, they acquire their funding, and come up with possibly the best idea for the project they could have….Getting a patent on Binary Code. Within literally 2 days of getting this patent, they have singehandedly shut down the internet, all video game creation, movie creation, and computer manufacturing. Now being the closest to owning the internet as you could possibly get, these two teenagers buy out Microsoft, and in less than a week they triple what Bill Gates has made his entire life. But this project turns into something much bigger than money. As these two fight for their lives in this epic tale of deception and lies, they will soon find that with great power, comes great responsibility, the hard way.

Chapter 1- The Beginning

“Hey man, you know our project starts today, right?” Zach said calmly as he walked up to his friend.
“Yeah, wouldn’t miss it for the world, but then again, this might just give us the world.” Clint replied as they stopped about a foot away from each other.
Zach gave a nod, then motioned for Clint to follow him. “So I’ve decided on a name for our experiment. I think we should call it ‘Project Ion’.” Zach spouted as they turned to walk down Sunset. Sunset was the name of the street next to Zach’s house, it was known for being the steepest drop in Mount Vernon as far as roads went.

“You remember the first step?” Zach inquired.
“Yeah, large amounts of cash, followed by large amounts of influence.” Clint replied.
“Exactly, that’ll probably be the hardest part of our operation, seeing as not many people have large amounts of money. Or influence for that matter.”
“I don’t suppose we have an ace in the hole? Like some back-up cash or anything?” Clint asked as we turned the corner onto my street.
Zach chuckled a bit, then said “Man, if we had ANY cash, we’d have started this long ago. And besides, I think I know how we’re going to get started. We’ve got a bit of work to do, so let’s get started…”
As they walked into the house, it was no surprise to them that Zachs’ parent’s dog, Roxy, started barking at them. Not the smartest dog in the world, but still lovable. Zach’s little eight year old brother, Gage, was in the center of the living room playing with his toys. From a first glance, they were the living, breathing definition of a normal family. Zach’s mom stayed at home to watch the kids, while his step-dad went to work on the weekends. The middle child, James, was at wrestling practice.
Although being 19 and not having a car, license, or job is usually grounds for instant making fun of, not many people did it, because they could sympathize with his situation. It was a time of economic troubles, and by the sounds of the news everyday, things weren’t getting any better.

But they were men, men on a mission. They sought to inflict great influence on the bitter world. Fame was one thing not easy to come across now-a-days. Especially the good kind of fame.

“So this is what we’re going to do…” Zach said as they stepped into his room. “In short, we’re going to save up enough money to patent the binary code, giving us control of quite a few assets, including the production of software, which should rake in enough money to buy some stocks, and essentially get our feet off the ground.”

“Uhh, ok…you’re the boss…” Clint sputtered.

The institute, in co-operation with Sharp, has developed a technique to render any recording unwatchable by flashing pulses of infra-red (IR) light from behind the cinema screen. The pulses pass through tiny holes in the screen originally designed to allow through sound, and cause interference to any video cameras held by members of the audience. The IR light, while invisible to human eyes, is also impossible to filter out without rendering the recording too blurry to watch. The team says best results are achieved at a speed of 10 pulses per second.

Bad Grammar – The Way I Are Parody ft. HotforWords

Part 1 – Lets make a baby bear no taller than my mobile phone.
Absolutely ages ago I offered to make Avalon a bear as he doesn’t have one of mine and he had seen the pictures on myspace of the ones I have made.It takes a long time to make as you have to use a very tiny sharp needle and it hurts my fingers when I sew using it, I have not found a thimble that works well enough to help. I have only ever made about 6 bears of 4 different designs so I took my favorite pattern and asked what color he wanted it, I should have know he would pick black, I have never used black before for my bears so didn’t know how good it would be. Luckily for me I managed to get some miniature bear velvet in black.I put the templates on the back of the velvet bear fabric and drew around them with a pen, I then cut out all the pieces allowing a 2-3mm seam allowance past the line so I could use the line as the guide to stitch along. I cut out all the pieces . I use a very fine thread which is called invisible as it is clear. Its very hard to work with but normally gives a better finish. The fabric is special miniature bear velvet, it has a grid on the back to strengthen it when you sew but it is also not very strong when cut in to very small pieces and combined with the thread you have to be very careful.

Part 2 – Where to start sewing?
Been a few months since all the pieces were cut, I cut them out in august 2008 and not touched them until April 2009, I thought I had better start, then I was motivated by doing more as I signed up to Manchester meet. I did the ears first as they are tiny and easy to do, just 2 tiny half circles needing the curve sewn. Then I did the first leg, I had to sew the sides then add in the paw pad on the bottom leaving a gap at the back to turn it right side around and stuff. I then attached the paws to the arms and did the first arm. By now I had already stabbed my finger too much to sew and left it for a while. All the paws are white and made out of a suede like fabric. I chose white as if it was all black it might not look right. I looked at doing them red but I couldn’t get a red that suited it so it was white that was used. Manchester meet was great.

Part 3 – More bear
I then sewed the 2 bear body parts together only allowing a small gap. I turned this around, turned the leg and arm right side and then started on the 2nd leg. A few weeks later (as I was very busy with work, holidays etc) I then completed the head, its made of 3 pieces, 2 sides and a top gusset. The top gusset is a thin strip that gives extra width to the head from the nose up over to the top to the back of the neck. The front of the neck is made by joining the 2 main sides together. I then did the 2nd leg and arm. Now I have all the pieces sewn. All the pieces were turned right side with the black velvet showing, its now time to joint and stuff.

Part 4 – Joints.
The joints are used to make the bears arms and legs move so it can either stand or sit. The joints are a pin which is folder in half with a rounded bend. It has a washer put on it then it is pushed through the fabric in one limb and then the limb is stuffed and sewn up. Once all limbs ( both arms and legs) have been done then you poke the pins in to the places you want the arms and legs to go on the body of the bear and then put on a 2nd washer. The pins now need to be fastened so a key is used, it looks like a screwdriver but with a slot cut out that fit’s the pin. You tighten the pins winding in the metal up so it tightens and secures the limb to the body. Once all these are done and the head fastened you can stuff and sew up.

Part 5 – Birth of a baby bear.
Once the bear has been closed you can attach the ears, eyes, nose and even a mouth if wanted. In this case The ears were sewn in but I moved the right one slightly out of line to give it character. I chose a silver thread to make the nose and a tiny mouth. The eyes are an issue I have yet to solve as normally I use black beads but they will look silly on black fur so I need to decide what to do, my current options are to put white bead eyes on, put silver bead eyes on, put a tiny piece of the fabric used for the paws behind a black bead eye, sew on eyes by using white thread. When the final picture is added you will see my decision. The only other things left are optional. You can make clothes, or add accessories to your bear. I like to just add a simply collar or bow. I always sew the accessory to the bear so it doesn’t fall off.

Now our baby bear is born and all it needs it a loving recipient and a name.

The tracker is out for Windows machines but also for all you out there that rather use Linux. And for the people that don’t want people to see everything they can turn the tracker down or remove the stats from their profile!
