Frank Carter, as always owned the crowd from the second he strutted onto the Bohemia stage at Sonisphere Knebworth.

Some people may consider him to be a huge HUGE prick, but there is no denying that the bastard captivates the anger of the current generation of gig goers to the point where he can walk across peoples hands from one end of a festival tent to the other.

If someone had said to me at the beginning of this year that by the end of the summer I would have seen Converge for every day of a week, I would have said, if they come to the UK you bet your sweet ass I will. And I did. I travelled around a bit but I got to watch a week of seriously intense performances.

If you had said to me, Andy Parker, Brighton based photographer, you will be talking to them before they go on stage at Sonisphere festival in Knebworth, I would have looked at you all crazy eyed. If you had then said, oh yeah and you can sit on the stage with them and see if you can get something a little different to everything else. I would have laughed you into next Tuesday.

If you had, then right now I would be apologising relentlessly to you. It happened. Smoke machines, three days in a tent with little sleep, some drunk friends, 14hrs a day running around but it happened, and I am happy with what I could get under the circumstances.

I went to watch Vile Imbeciles and Black Listers a few weeks back with Kevin Mason. I loved them so much I bought the CD’s the Vinyl and got a t-shirt chucked in gratis. Black Listers have sort of reminded me why I liked live music in the first place.

Best tune. Trick Fuck, think they said it was about some girl in Leeds, they may have given her address out, but it was so hot and sweaty that where I had scribbled it on my arm was just a smeary mess like a whores tear ridden face.
