Did Meher Baba, the Silent Master, speak the words “Yad Rakh” or didn’t He?

Bhauji’s original claim is described here. He specifically said:

“At 11:00 pm. [30th January 1969] He [Baba] used the Hindi words, ‘Yad Rakh.’  The phrase was audible only once, and it was at 11:00 pm.”

So now Bhau is saying that the words were not audible but were expressed in gestures? Is the Glow‘s exclusive journalistic scoop a  “clarification” — or is it not a retraction of Bhau’s report that Meher Baba physically spoke the words Yad Rakh (“Remember this”) the day before dropping His body?

The Glow has us where it wants us: waiting at the mailbox or subscribing. But where is it that Bhau has us with this trickster-like announcement? We must delay judgment until the big scoop is received.

Meherabad (Ahmednagar): So many theories have been advanced on the manifestation of Meher Baba and all these are based on what Meher Baba had said at various times. The basic theme running through these theories is that Avatar of the Age has not yet manifested and that it will take place in due course, probably over the next fifty-sixty years.

But eminent scholar and writer Anna Khandale, Anna to his friends, doesn’t agree with the general perception. He has, in fact, put a new spin on the issue while fielding my question ‘when will Meher Baba manifest’. In his view, Meher Baba’s manifestation is not a one-off affair.
