Saturday July 6, Sylvia & Glenn visited their Nephew Charlie in his home in Bloomingdale, NY

The dogs, Molly and Olly are part of the household. We had planed to attend the Horse show in Saranac lake, rain helped change those plans.

We decided to have lunch here.

Sketches

This morning our neighbor, Ralph Parker, finished the sketches he was making of our Motor home at "The Babbling Brook Campground."

The sketches look great. The one of the back of the motor home and shelter were drawn from his campsite Tuesday before all that rain.
Very interesting people that we meet here in Campgrounds. The first time we have met an active Artist while camping.
Thank You, Ralph Parker, This is Amazing!

New Neighbors

We have new neighbors in the campground. They are Ralph and Nell Parker from Rockport, Texas. Ralph is an artist in sketches and brushes. His website www.ralphparkerart.wordpress.com.

Last evening they stopped by with a pie desert. This morning Sylvia made breakfast here in the motor home. Just a comment, we are on 30 amp service, the outside temperatures are in the 50's, and it is raining.
While making breakfast, the power went off. Glenn walked out to reset the breaker....no power! No problem, Glenn started the generator, problem solved. We had a great breakfast of biscuits & gravy.
After breakfast we all drove to the old stone house in the hamlet of "Ft Covington Center", about 2 miles from the campground. The house is without a roof and the walls are crumbling down.
Back home! Still raining.

Babbling Brook,Fort Covington, New York

June 12 we arrived at Babbling Brook Campground. The river, was Roaring.

The rains have added lots of water. The river is not over its banks but is full.

The river one week later is back to normal.

Our campsite is at the river bank, and the fire pit is behind the Motor home.

A great place to hangout and listen to the brook. The Bluegrass Festival started Friday.

Sunday at Kyle's

Sunday we loaded the dogs and visited Kyle and Kari in Chicopee, MA. Alex had the training wheels removed from the bike. All afternoon and no accidents. Great job Alex.

Sara, Kari's sister, is attending the dogs in the yard.

Rachel has started with the colorful food.

She sure enjoyed the outside.

This morning, after our walk, Snowflake was having problems breathing.

We took her to the Vet. The decision was made to end her life and avoid pain.

This is Snowflakes normal position while outside.

She will be missed!

Thursday, May 2, We drove to Cambridge, Ma. to attend "The Institute of Boston at University Hall Gallery" . "A Familiar Origin" featuring work by Liticia Avery. Also showing: Bridget Davies; Katie Johnson; and Sarah Willis. The work of this group is fascinating.

The showing was about things in the lives of students that had lots of memories.

We met many of the professors and friends of the students. The gallery was packed during the showing.

Visiting Kyle and Family

Sylvia and I visit Kyle and his Family on the weekends when he does not have to work. The Grand children, Alex and Rachel, are a thrill.

This is Rachel Loraine. She is very alert and very active. The older Brother Alex likes to feed her.

Kari, Mom, keeps an eye on what is happening.

Grandpa is happy!

Grandma is getting sugar time..

Today, Saturday, we visited "Old Sturbridge Village" to see the "Maple Sugar" process as done in 1830. Here they reduce the maple syrup into maple sugar. The sugar will last longer and not spoil like syrup.
The weather was cold and windy. Temps never got to the 40's as predicted.
That's all for now. Going to Kyle's tomorrow.

Rachel Loraine Avery

Rachel arrived on Feb.27 at 10:48 am. She weighted 7 lbs 13 ounces, 20 inches long. Bright blue eyes. In this picture she is 6 hours old.

Alex is happy to hold his little Sister. Rachel is all he wanted to talk about.

The sneaker booties are a gift from my Niece, Teena Palmer. She designed and made them, What a hit. Thanks Teena.
