The new aircraft will enable Vistara to extend its personalised and seamless travel experience to the airline’s progressively widening customer base by increasing frequencies to its current route network.

On the latest addition, Mr Phee Teik Yeoh, CEO, Vistara said, “We are delighted to announce the arrival of our ninth aircraft. The new aircraft will allow us to further enhance our capacity on our key routes and allow many more customers to fly a new feeling with Vistara. With this addition, our fleet induction for the year is complete. However, there are many other interesting announcements in the pipeline timed with our anniversary celebrations that will further make our value proposition attractive for our esteemed customers.”

With 12 destinations, 297 weekly frequencies and industry’s best OTP track record, Vistara is fast becoming India’s preferred airline with an increasing number of repeat customers. With each new aircraft, the airline raises the bar to touch new heights as it continues to redefine the flying experience and setting new benchmarks.
Kolkata, formerly known as Calcutta, is the capital of the Indian state of West Bengal. The city is the main commercial, financial and educational hub of East and Northeast India, and is the third largest contributor to India’s economy in terms of GDP contribution.

Home to a diverse mix of cultures, Kolkata boasts modern and colonial architecture, multiple monuments, and has a metropolis population of over 15 million, making it India’s second largest city.

James Hogan, President and Chief Executive Officer of Etihad Airways, said: “India, one of the world’s largest growing travel markets, has always been an important destination for Etihad Airways. The launch of our new Kolkata services demonstrates our enduring commitment to serve the Indian market and people, whether in India or overseas.

“We are confident that this new service, our first to Northeastern India, will boost travel and trade between the UAE and India, further strengthen our presence in India, and connect key strategic cities with Abu Dhabi.

“Beyond our Abu Dhabi hub, travellers will have great opportunities to conveniently connect to the Gulf region and Middle East, as well as Europe, North America and Africa.”

Etihad Airways already places its ‘EY’ flight code on its codeshare and network partner, Jet Airways’ domestic routes from hubs in Mumbai and Bangalore to Kolkata.

The UAE flag carrier recently announced a major expansion of its codeshare agreement with Jet Airways, offering travellers enhanced connections throughout India, and linking India with even more destinations worldwide. This move brings the combined number of codeshare services offered by both airlines to 71.

The new Abu Dhabi - Kolkata route will be operated by a two-class Airbus A320 aircraft configured to carry 136 passengers, with 16 seats in Business Class and 120 seats in Economy Class seats, offering a total of 1,904 seats per week.

However two small pets of the same species and same owner can share a container if they are between 8 weeks and not weighing over 10 Kgs each, or, a mother with offspring of less than 4 months.

Vaccination / Immunization record with Rabies vaccination date.

A declaration indemnifying the SpiceJet with the owner / passenger assuming all the risks of injury, sickness or death of the pet accepted for carriage, will be obtained from the passenger.

Other documents may be required, depending on local regulations.

All documents must be in English, unless otherwise specified.

*Health problems

Pugs lack longer snouts and prominent skeletal brow ridges and hence are susceptible to eye injuries such as proptosis and scratched corneas and painful entropion. They also have compact breathing passageways, leaving many unable to breathe properly or efficiently regulate their temperature through evaporation from the tongue. A pug's normal body temperature is between 101 °F (38 °C) and 102 °F (39 °C). If the temperature rises to 105 °F (41 °C) they are no longer able to cope with cooling themselves and their oxygen demand is greatly increased, and requires cooling down immediately. Should the temperature reach 108 °F (42 °C), the internal organs begin to break down at a cellular level which can lead to severe long term health issues or even death.

Pugs living a mostly sedentary life can be prone to obesity, though this is avoidable with regular exercise and a healthy diet. A UK Kennel Club survey puts the average life span of Pugs at 10 years.

An investigative documentary carried out by the BBC found significant inbreeding between pedigree dogs, with a study by Imperial College, London, showing that the 10,000 pugs in the UK are so inbred that their gene pool is the equivalent of only 50 individuals.

The bright new color and décor of the aircraft with modern, sculpted sidewalls and larger windows, combined with the effect of the light-emitting diode (LED) lighting significantly enhances the sense of spaciousness in the cabin. That aside, the dynamic and brighter LED lighting can portray different color schemes like a soft blue sky and a relaxing pallet of sunset colors, while providing for maximum efficiency and lower maintenance costs.

Another feature that will most definitely be appreciated by guests are the new pivot bins, which afford greater overhead bin capacity for storage.
New improved passenger service units and a significantly quieter cabin also add to the comfort of the guests. In addition to this, the new Boeing 737 – 800 aircraft also possess superior on board, sound quality and clarity through new speakers that have been improved in each passenger row.

Jet Airways took delivery of the first of these 11 new next generation Boeing 737-800 aircraft to be inducted into the airline's fleet this month, with the balance such aircraft to be delivered between October 2011 and March 2013. Of the 11 new aircraft, 2 Boeing 737 – 800 will have 16 Première and 138 Economy Class seating configuration complete with Jet Airways world-class in-flight entertainment system. The remaining 9 Boeings will a have 8 Premiere and 162 Economy Class seating configuration.

Commenting on the acquisition of the Boeing 737-800 aircraft, Sudheer Raghavan, Chief Commercial Officer, Jet Airways, said “The Boeing 737 has been an essential part of our product offering in the past and Jet Airways selected the next generation state-of-the art Boeing 737-800 aircraft because of its high degree of operational flexibility and economy.

At Jet Airways we have continually and consciously innovated with our products and services to deliver a significantly enhanced guest experience with unmatched comfort. The induction of the Boeing 737-800 with Sky Interiors is another step at attempting to set an industry benchmark.”

These new Boeing 737 – 800 aircraft will also possess better economy, given the fact that they will have over 1 per cent less fuel burn, compared to the airline’s fleet of Boeing 737 aircraft.

Jet Airways Première One Fare Pass for international travel

Jet Airways, India’s premier international airline, today announced the extension of its highly popular domestic ONE FARE pass for international travel for its Premiere guests, at no extra cost. IndiGo, India's second biggest domestic carrier, will offer daily Singapore-Delhi flights from Sept 15.
It starts its runs to and from Mumbai the following month, and will add Chennai and Bangalore by early next year.
At a Singapore press conference on Tuesday, IndiGo president Aditya Ghosh said he is confident it will expand, rather than cannibalise, the market.

The Singapore-Delhi sector, covered in a 5 1/2-hour flight, is nowserved by India's full-service carriers Air India and Jet Airways, and Singapore Airlines; Singapore-Mumbai is served by five airlines, including Australia's Qantas and India's Kingfisher Airlines.

With strong ties between the two countries and a growing expatriate population on both sides, potential exists for growth in the Singapore-India air travel market, Mr Ghosh said, adding: 'I really, truly believe that the market will expand, so I'm not sure that we're looking at eating market share from anyone.'

Daily flights from chandigarh to mumbai

Kingfisher Airlines Launches Flights from Chandigarh to Mumbai & New Delh. Launches a Daily Direct Flight Connecting Mumbai to Chandigarh.
Malaysia Airlines was unanimously elected a oneworld member designate by the Chief Executives of the alliance's member airlines, at a meeting on the sidelines of IATA's 2011 World Air Transport Summit, which opens in Singapore today.

A formal alliance membership agreement will be completed soon.

Malaysia Airlines is expected to start flying as part of oneworld late next year.

As it prepares for its alliance membership, Malaysia Airlines intends to develop bilateral links with a number of oneworld's established partners, who include some of the biggest and best names in the airline industry. It already code-shares with oneworld partners Cathay Pacific and Royal Jordanian.

When it becomes part of oneworld, its customers will gain access to the alliance's truly global network. It will expand oneworld's global coverage to almost 950 destinations in 150 countries, served by a combined fleet of more than 2,600 aircraft operating some 10,000 flights a day and carrying 358 million passengers a year.

Three established oneworld member airlines currently serve Malaysia, with Cathay Pacific, Japan Airlines and Royal Jordanian flying to Kuala Lumpur, and Cathay Pacific also to Penang and, through its Dragonair affiliate, Kota Kinabalu. Opportunities for expanding the alliance's coverage of the country will be explored as Malaysia Airlines prepares to join.

Royal Caribbean International and Kingfisher Airlines announce strategic alliance

Royal Caribbean International and Kingfisher Airlines have formed an alliance that will offer customers conveniently bundled vacation packages as well as enhanced member benefits for members of King Club, Kingfisher Airlines’ loyalty program.

Kingfisher Airlines is one of India’s market-leading airlines and is a member-elect of the world’s leading quality airline alliance, oneworld. Royal Caribbean International is one of the largest cruise lines in the world, offering vacations to more than 260 ports around the world.

“Working together, we can offer a number of synergies and new benefits to our Royal Caribbean International guests, and to Kingfisher customers,” explains Michael Bayley, Executive Vice President of International for Royal Caribbean Cruises, Ltd. “India is a key market for us, and we look forward to expanding our brand presence there and introducing people to the world of cruising.”

"At King Club, our vision is to deliver a bouquet of unmatched and innovative benefits across the world to our members, in collaboration with leading national and international brands,” said Ms. Anshu Sarin, Vice President of Guest Loyalty and Kingfisher Holidays at Kingfisher Airlines Ltd. “The alliance with Royal Caribbean International is yet another initiative that will expand the range of exciting and exclusive benefits we offer our King Club guests.”

This is the first time Royal Caribbean has entered into a strategic alliance of this magnitude in the Asia-Pacific region, where the Legend of the Seas sails out of Singapore and Hong Kong, and Brilliance of the Seas is home-ported in Dubai seasonally. Kingfisher Airlines flies to all three of these embarkation ports from cities throughout India and its tour division, Kingfisher Holidays, conveniently bundles vacation packages that include both a Royal Caribbean cruise and airfare for the Kingfisher Airlines guests.

To celebrate the new partnership, Kingfisher Airlines is launching an online sweepstakes for its King Club members, which will give one lucky couple from India a free 4-night Isles of Southeast Asia cruise on Legend of the Seas departing from Singapore on May 23, 2011. The 2,074-passenger Legend of the Seas offers guests Broadway-style musicals in the theatre, themed parties, a Vegas style casino, drinks in the panoramic Viking Crown Lounge and much more. Furthermore, the winning couple will receive round-trip flights from Kingfisher Airlines.

Another advantage of the alliance is that Kingfisher Airlines’ King Club members will earn miles when they book a qualifying Royal Caribbean International cruise. For example, members will earn 1,500 King Club miles when booking a balcony stateroom on a 4- to 5-night cruise or 2,500 miles for a 6- to 8-night cruise in a Junior Suite. When booking for a group, the King Club member who reserves and pays for the stateroom will receive the miles. Members can redeem their miles for upgrades and free airline tickets.

Kingfisher Airlines connect Mumbai to Kolhapur, New Delhi to Pantnagar, Jabalpur to Indore

Kingfisher Airlines, India's only Five star airline rated by Skytrax, today announced the launch of nine new flights on its domestic network.
