Out of death comes new life. Believe it or not, this is location was involved in a portion of a 200-acre brush fire that occurred in mid-August. After the fire, there were a couple of storms that passed and from that rain, new life. Isn’t life wonderful!

They say that rain is good luck at a wedding and that it represents fertility, unity, and cleansing. Since a wedding is known as tying the knot, it is believed that a wet knot is harder to untie making the bond that much stronger. It is also seen as a symbol of fertility, wellness and prosperity. The rain also cleanses, and with that, the washing away of all the bad of the past and bringing in a fresh, new day.

Seeing them together is more than enough to know that their unbridled love for each other is deep and unbreakable. And with their soon-to-be new addition to the family, shows that they’re already off to a great start.

As for the rain and all that it brings? Well… the rain is just a bonus.

Traditionally in a Mexican-Catholic family when you are born and you are a female, mom usually starts to imagine the Quince. Not so much for the party, but more about the person that your little girl will be. It's usually agreed that the person they are when they are that age, is the person they are inside, for the rest of their lives.

We are mature enough to handle ourselves in a public domain, but we carry ourselves with a sort of naivety that can easily be misguided and taken advantage of. The sort of innocence and purity that only a child can convey. All while trying to juggle new feelings, relationships and coping with letting go of that innocence.

You become that woman you were born to be. With a white dress, signifying purity, in the church you were baptized you renew your loyalty to God. In front of your loved ones, who bring you this far only to present you to the world.

My lovely this weekend was my little Lizzy Bear. The little bossy Lizzy bear has grown to become a beatiful, still bossy, smart and sassy young lady.

This girl has tried at least six or seven sports in her life and seems it has been non-stop since she could walk! I get tiered just listening to her talk a mile a minute!

This weekend she was being bossed around, and what do you know?? She dealt well, mature and respectful. Makes me proud to call her my boo. Can't wait to party with this girl!

What a great day it was Saturday! Well at least for photography. It didn’t rain but there was enough cloud cover to make it interesting. What better time to go out and photograph then when there are clouds in SoCal! A definite rarity over here!

So off we went to photograph Jocelyn and create some memorable Quince portraits. Don’t let her Mona Lisa smile fool you though. Behind that smile lies a woman that can kick a… well… you know.

Just recently, we had the opportunity to do a portrait session with Jack and his parents. Boy what a day it was! Guess nobody at the park got the memo to stay home while we do some photos there! Hehe...

Nevertheless we did find a few quiet places to do some photos of the adorably handsome little one. And he stirred up quite a crowd too! I would too if I looked like him.
