                              <td style="font-size:10pt; color:#000000;">Bovine spongiform encephalopathy, first identified as a new disease of cattle in 1987, has now been confirmed in native-born cattle in 25 countries throughout the world. This disease belongs to a class of uniformly fatal diseases known as transmissible spongiform encephalopathies (TSE), and is the only TSE known to be transmissible from animals to humans.
