Mental clutter would clear out having nothing to cling to.

Awakening's action pulls at our hearts inspiring love's movement. At the same time the pressure of its push dismantles ego-mind.

This pressure's often confused with more garden variety stress. Our reluctance to let go compounds discomfort and discontent.

Yet some of ego-mind's debris may be overdue for a send-off. Like a glacier's cast off fragments it dissolves in the ocean of remembrance.

What a sigh of relief when clued in to what's going on.
What deep gratitude and joy ushered in when accepting this gift's release.

Lately it's been reckless to a fault, breaching its banks.

Imagine this mind-field bursting forth from a collapsed dam. A wall of water levels whatever stands before it. The fury and chaos seems endless.

But then the surprise. A much larger dam awaits this onslaught. One that's indomitable, to which all the madness and froth is a drop in the bucket.

That's an image of awakening's power: putting the brakes on nonstop confusion, holding excess delusion in check. What's been carried to extremes is recollected.

A tranquility begins, a calm descends.
Reflecting this a new heart and mind begin flowering.
An awakening self is buoyed by new inner depths.

Any description of that atmosphere has serious shortcomings. There's no checklist, rather a changing flow, constant freshness. What's absent is conditioned mind's clutter; what's missing is a closed heart.

A major trait of 'that place' is recognition's certainty that arrives only when we've arrived. This is anathema to ego-mind's logic but what to do?

Self-delusions about being there get uncovered soon enough. Sometime that's the price of admission leaving one less ego-mind ploy in place.

Doubts and questions are stilled, replaced by recognition and trust. Then there's compassion for the constant questioner in us.

Worry about these matters just slams the door to deeper seeing.

Better to relax the mind, humoring its expected reactions. After all its usual state is self-deceptive, self-hypnotic; sleeping and dreaming while thinking it's fully awake.

Opening the heart banishes fears of further delusions, validates and encourages our journey of discovery. (see pt.1)
