I didn't take time to read my Google's blog reader yesterday (I blame my mom...she came to the store yesterday with every intent of going home after just "a little while" and she got sucked into the vortex we call the scrapbook store!  LOL  We checked in new inventory, tried our hand at making some custom acrylic stamps, and so much more!)

So last night, when Betsy came to teach our Cricut Fabric class, I hadn't seen the blog post about her on MoxieFab World...but I saw it this morning!  :)  Isn't that a great picture of her?  One of her kiddos took that picture of her.  Anyway, I just thought I would point out that great article about Betsy.

I met her about 3 years ago when we moved back to Rock Valley.  She and some of her friends got together and scrapbooked 1 Friday night a month.  When they found out I had an online store, they would come over to my basement, and shop in my boxes.  :)  See...back then, everything was in my basement, tucked away in boxes.  So, we never knew what kind of treasures they'd find! 

So, once I moved out of the basement, and into an 'actual' store,  I asked Betsy if she would be interested in being a teacher at the store.  Happily, she said YES!  :)  I've really enjoyed getting to know her over the past couple of years.  She has a great blog called Paper, Scissors and Superheros.  If you haven't been there before, check it out!

If you have the opportunity to come up to Northwest Iowa and take a Cricut class from Betsy...she is one of the best!

We haven't done a Fabulous Friday Find on the blog for a LOOOONG time, so I'm thinking it'll be fun to go through the store and find some really cool Fabulous Finds of products, you may not know we carry!

Check out this really cool Overlay from Hambly Studios!  This wood-grained overlay would be a great addition to a cardstock background, for a fall page!

We carry a number of Overlays from Hambly, Best Creations, Fancy Pants, and some of the overlays can not only be used as background, but also as page embellishments, or even journaling spots!

When journaling on an overlay, make sure to use American Craft's Slick Writer.  This pen is specially  made to work on any non-porous surface like plastic, glass, acrylic, etc.

We have sent out a corrected email this morning.  I had made a mistake and put the Design Studio on the 21st as well as the Fabric class.  The Cricut Design studio class is on the 14th and the Fabric class is on the 21st.  I'm so sorry for the mistake!
