Drone? It was a quadricopter controlled by an iDevice or Android. Now, from the world of awesomeness, we bring you the world’s first robotic ball, which, as it turns out, is also controlled by an iPhone or Android. Check out the Sphero!

Sphero is controlled by tilts, taps, and touches of your smart phone. It’s connected to the phone via Bluetooth (rather than WiFi like the AR. Drone). You can do all sorts of things with it like amaze your friends or even play with the family cat (Garfield can sure lose a few pounds, right?). On top of that, it has an open API so developers can come up with all sorts of games for iTunes and the Android Market.

Roughly the size of a baseball, the Sphero has an RGB LED light in it so you can choose from thousands of colors to light it up. This way you can have team colors or just use your favorite. Sphero charges on an induction charger (like those wireless electric toothbrush chargers) and runs for about an hour on each charge.

Pre-order your Sphero today and don’t miss out on the hours of fun you’re sure to have!

We’ve talked about wallets before here on Aweseurs.com but nothing like this before! The Mighty Wallet is thin, light, strong and recyclable. You heard me right, recyclable! What’s this Mighty Wallet and what makes it so special. As the site says, it’s mighty thin, mighty strong, and mighty green.

Mighty thin?

The Mighty Wallet is made out of a similar material as a mailing envelope. The material is called Tyvek and it’s a type of plastic microfiber. It’s thin like paper but it also repels water. The wallet is kind of made in an origami-type fashion so it looks sort of like folded paper. The neat thing about its slimness is that it expands as you put more stuff in it.

Mighty strong?

This microfiber that the Mighty Wallet is made out of is woven in such a away that it is very difficult to tear.

This also makes what looks like a simple paper wallet last quite a long time. Also as it is used it breaks in for the owner making an already comfortable wallet even more comfortable. Its ability to repel water also adds to its strength.

Mighty green?

Since it is so important to so many people to be “green”, it’s good to know that 25% of the material used to make the Mighty Wallet is already recycled. On top of that, the wallet itself is recyclable. How much greener can it get?

The Mighty Wallet comes in many different designs including cartoons, maps/destinations, comic books, sheet music and so many more!

And a $15 price tag makes them irresistible!

The future is here! Kind of. Remember being a kid and daydreaming about a future filled with personal crafts that fly around? How about the move, Back To The Future II with the infamous hoverboard? Today, these dreams are partially coming true! Check out the personal hovercraft called the Airboard!

Yes, it’s true, there is now a personal hovercraft on the market! The Airboard is a small hovercraft that you stand on, hold onto a handle of sorts and lean to move and steer. It can go over several types of surfaces such as mown grass, asphalt, pavement or any packed, firm surface free of things such as rocks and debris. Be careful though because, just like in the Back To The Future movie, water is definitely off limits!

The Airboard runs on lead-free gasoline and holds 1.3 US gallons. That’s apparently enough for one and a half hours running time. With an electric start (for ease of use) and a lanyard attached to a kill switch (for safety), it sounds like getting going on the Airboard is quite simple.

Check out a video of the Airboard in use:

It may not be as amazing as flying through the air or as versatile as the hoverboards in the movies, but the Airboard is certainly a step in the right direction!

Desk DOTS are ceramic magnetic balls measuring .079 inches in diameter. Since they, being magnetic and all, are seriously attracted to one another, you can use them in various ways to organize the rat’s nest you call your desk.

Got a lot of unorganized mail (I know you do)? Use them to separate it into categories. You can also use them to hold piles of business cards or even hold photographs or important messages. Hey, since Desk DOTS are magnetic, they can even hold your paperclips!

There’s a danger though. Even though Desk DOTS are great at organizing your office heap, they can also be distracting. You may be tempted to pick them up and mess around with them rearranging them in various shapes or just rolling them around in your hand. Be careful, as the site warns, because they are not toys. If swallowed (assuming they look tastier to you then they do to me) Desk DOTS may cause injury.

Get your desk in order while making it more interesting in the process with Desk DOTS.

The Hookeychain Magnet is a magnet that attaches to your fridge (or anything else metal). Neat, huh? So how does that help with the lost key dilemma? Well, as it turns out, it is also a place to keep your keys and you know how having a special place for your keys helps you not to lose them. This fridge magnet comes with an attached ring to attach your keys to when you’re in the house.

The Hookeychain Magnet is also shaped like a hook making it a handy place for other items as well. When it comes down to it, the Hookeychain Magnet is a hook, magnet and key ring all in one. It can turn into the go-to place in the home to keep both notes and keys and if you can think of something else you can hang on a small hook, there you go.

Sometimes awesome ideas come in small packages and the Hookeychain Magnet is one of those awesome ideas. Maybe we’ll never lose our keys again. Can you imagine that?

For one, the Sony VAIO L Series All-In-One Desktop PC is an HD, back-lit LED LCD which is 24 inches of touch screen wowness. The touch screen even extends past the viewable area into the glossy black border which allows you to do such tasks as flipping through web pages, closing windows and zooming in on photos much easier.

With the Sony VAIO L Series All-In-One Desktop PC you can also plug your devices into it to make it into your television set, video gaming center, and your movie center. Get a model with a TV tuner and you can use it as a DVR saving programming onto its hard drive.

If you don’t like the stand, the Sony VAIO L Series All-In-One Desktop PC is actually wall-mountable. You can hang it up out of the way and tuck the wireless mouse and keyboard off out of sight for a truly non-intrusive system.

Last but not least, you can use the Sony VAIO L Series All-In-One Desktop PC for high definition video chatting. It does a good job in lower light as well and has face-tracking technology built in so it’ll auto-focus on your face and follow you as you move around.

The Sony VAIO L Series All-In-One Desktop PC is definitely worth checking out if you need a system to stay at home.

The most obvious part of the HandyShell Case that sets it apart from many other iPad 2 cases is a handy, durable handle on the back. It’s attached via a hinge so it is movable and so that it can be tucked away when not in use. The handle makes it easy to securely hold the device with one hand. It can also act as a stand in portrait or landscape. You can even hand your iPad on the wall with this nifty handle.

The HandyShell Case is made of a hard shell in order to protect your precious Apple tablet and even has an extended bevel around the edges to help protect the screen. Add to that a raised section on the back adding to the comfort of the grip to help prevent drops. Personally I’d assume a hard shell will add a bit of girth but what’s a little added size or weight if you’ve got that added protection, right?

For good protection, a versatile handle and a bit more holding comfort, try out the HandyShell Case for iPad 2.

First of all, the Droid X2 sports a dual core 1 Ghz Nvidia Tegra2 processor. This way you’ve got faster load times, gaming, and media consumption.

Next, the Droid X2′s camera’s got some features worth shaking a stick at. It does rapid-fire photography (check out a free app in the Android Market that does rapid fire shooting too), dual LED flash, continuous auto-focus and 8 MP of resolution. On top of that, it can do video up to 720p HD.

It’s resolution is what they call qHD (q = quarter which is referring to a quarter of the pixels of true HD resolution which translates to 960×540) which they say is 26% more pixels than the Droid X, a marked improvement. Another upgrade is that the Droid X2 can be mirrored with any HDTV or computer with an HDMI port. That means you can use youe TV or computer to see what you see on your phone. Cool for pictures, videos, games and that kind of stuff.

Looking to upgrade your phone? Check out the Droid X2… it may fit your lifestyle perfectly!

For those crazy, extreme sports enthusiasts out there, one of the great tools they look for is a good camera to capture all the first-person action. We’ve already covered the Contour GPS (which is a great option, BTW) but it isn’t the only fish in the sea. Replay XD has released what they are calling the smallest and lightest full HD camera around. It’s called the Replay XD1080.

The Replay XD1080 isn’t just small and HD but it’s also rugged.

Here’s what the site says about what this thing can take:

Water-tight

Dust-tight

Bang-proof

Drop-proof

Shake-proof

Shock-proof

Rattle-proof

Wind-proof

With it’s size and apparent invincibility it seems you can take it anywhere and do anything with it.

The Replay XD1080 also affords the ability to live stream all the action via HDMI. You can choose to record and live stream at the same time or just live stream the action.

They spend a great deal of time and effort making the internal mic one that will cut out the wind while still attempting to capture the sounds you want. If that doesn’t do it for you, you’ve even got the option to plug in an external that will suit your fancy.

The Replay XD1080 has several capturing modes:

Full HD: 1080p30

Tall HD: 960p30

Smooth HD: 720p60

Broadcast HD: 720p30

You can also capture action photos at 5MP.

With the size, ruggedness, quality and the several mounting options it comes with, we think the Replay XD1080 is an awesome choice for capturing and streaming real extreme action.

Very few makers of iDevice cases can make a protective case that is elegant, protective and usable. From what we can tell, Pad and Quill does a pretty good job. On top of everything else, making an expensive piece of hardware look like a simple paper notepad also has its security benefits. Check out the whole line of cases by Pad and Quill.

You’ll notice by looking at the pictures that these cases sure have an elegant look to them. Some iDevice cases sacrifice elegance on the alter of usability or protection but these cases by Pad and Quill really have a nice look to them. They’re designed to look like fancy journaling pads… more about that in a bit.

Pad and Quill cases are designed to protect your devices too. You see they’re made out of Baltic Birch with a lacquer finish and then bound in bonded Italian leather. Now I wouldn’t go dropping your device from the second story window or something, but being in a case such as this should at least protect from the occasional bump or scratch.

The cases being designed by Pad and Quill also add an extra element of usability. Many of the cases designed for larger devices such as the iPad 2 and the MacBook Air act as stands making the devices easier to use. Even the smaller Little Black Book for the iPhone make typing on a table easier while also being specifically designed for easy removal from pockets.

The fact that they look very much like simple paper notebooks at first glance certainly make them less of a temptation for a passerby to lift. Pad and Quill makes cases for the iPad, iPad2, MacBook Air, iPhone 4, Kindle 3, Nook, and Nook Color.
