The self-locking nuts are suitable for applications that require extra security as they eliminate backlash without sacrificing efficiency. This type of nut is more effective than standard hex nuts because it includes a no threaded part which closes around the thread creating a lock between the two threads.

Self-locking nuts are being used as a secure fastening nut for joining many kinds of parts. They are manufactured from natural Polyamide 6.6 that, when combined with steel screws, provides low drag torque and smooth operation throughout the life of the assembly (preferably not reusable). They also save weight over the conventional steel/nylon lock nuts.

The cost effective plastic nuts are widely used in a variety of industrial applications (electronic and electrical equipment, construction, furniture and medical industries) requiring such properties as strength, corrosion resistance, oil resistance, low weight alternatives and low thermal conductivity. The working temperature range is -30 to +100°C.

Metric sizes include M5, M6, M8, M10 and M12.

The self-locking nuts can also be supplied in PP, PE and PVDF (these materials are recommended for their good food and medical qualities) and in a wide range of colours to suit your requirements.

Suitable for all sectors of industry, these screws are ideal for manual assemblies.

The standard material is Polyamide (Nylon) which is resistant to various chemical products, has excellent mechanical properties including wear resistance, low friction coefficient, high melting point and good impact resistance and is also very light.
The working temperature range is -30 to +100°C.

Other materials are available on request, such as PP, PE and POM (these materials are recommended for their good food and medical qualities) or PA glass filled (tensile strength and high rigidity - it ideally replaces aluminium and zinc in tap parts).

The knurled thumb screws are available in M5, M6 and M8 (Length from 6 to 60mm).

The standard colour is natural but we can supply these parts in a wide range of colours to suit your requirements.

The unicase is a one-piece housing, into which all the bearings are integrated. The fi nishing of this unicase is carried out with in unique jig, on state-of -the-art CNC machines. The unicase concept features highest levels of precision, rigidity and

Where personnel needs to work near to rotating machinery, secure protection against a restart of the motor can be implemented. For this, the SK 510E is equipped with a “Safe impulse block” (electronic/no wearing parts), which as a maximum, can comply with safety category 4 as per EN 945-1 (EN 13849-1). This results in a cost benefit by eliminating the need for contactor components and enables permanent online availability.

SK 520E – Extended equipment for speed regulation and automation integration

Further control signals and an RS485 interface provide even greater convenience:

SK 530E – Highest configuration, with servo functionality

The SK 530E combines all the safety functions of the product range, such as the "Safe stop", on-board CANopen interface and incremental encoder input. With this concept, servo applications can be replaced with an asynchronous motor solution, which can save a considerable portion of costs.

SK 5x5E – Online availability in automation systems

With the SK 505E and SK 535E the control card of the inverter can be equipped with a separate supply (24 V), which ensures high availability, even if the power is switched off. This enables e.g. separate commissioning of the control and power levels.

NEw – The SK 500E product family has increased up to 22kW

Since the end of 2008, the SK 500E product series has been extended with a power range of 11 – 22 kW. This represents a further advance for a continuous series from the low to high power range. These power ranges are divided into the performance levels SK 515E and SK 535E.
