The Olivers Convoy Tee has already seen countries with me in the last month alone. Here's a breakdown of how it's doing for travel around the world.

I’ve been wearing the Convoy Tee from Olivers for a few months now. Made with Merino Wool it sheds water and stinky smells and looks good no matter where it’s worn.

I broke in the shirt while living in Colorado and then left the country for a 12 month trip with my family. We’re all living out of carry-on-sized backpacks during this time so it’s important that the things I pack work in nearly every situation I put them in.

We started with one month in Romania where it was very hot and humid. My one gripe with the shirt is that after being carefully folded and packed for the journey it took a couple of days for all of the creases to work their way out of the shirt. Still, it performed well in the mountainous cities of Sibiu and Brașov along with numerous bus and train trips. The Convoy Tee is trendy enough to fit in on a date with Christine at the trendiest places in Bucharest.

We’ve been in the French Alps for a couple of weeks now and the shirt is performing as well as ever. It’s cooler and on those rainy days the shirt does a nice job of shedding light precipitation. Granted, it won’t keep you dry in a downpour but those first drops bead up and roll off and the shirt dries nicely.

At $78 the Convoy Tee isn’t cheap, however, since we’re traveling with limited luggage space we decided to put a lot of thought into the things we bring with us. That has also meant spending more money on clothing that does multiple jobs well. The Convoy Tee has been a great fit.

At 6′ tall and 154 pounds I think the medium trim fit Convoy is best though it looks to have been replaced with a relaxed fit V2 which more people may enjoy.

How to Style a Maxi Dress for Any Occasion: From Beach Days to Evening Soirées

The maxi dress is a wardrobe staple, beloved for its effortless elegance and versatility. Whether you’re heading to a beach day or an evening soirée, this timeless piece can be styled to suit any occasion with just a few thoughtful accessory changes and summer dresses for women. Here’s how you can take your maxi dress from day to night, ensuring you always look chic and appropriate, no matter the event.
1. Beach Day: Breezy and Casual

When you think of a maxi dress for a beach day, comfort and ease should be top of mind. Opt for lightweight, breathable fabrics like cotton or linen that keep you cool under the sun. A flowing maxi dress with a relaxed silhouette is perfect for beachside lounging or a casual stroll along the shore.

Styling Tips:

Footwear: Pair your maxi dress with flat sandals or espadrilles for a laid-back vibe. Flip-flops can also work if you’re going for ultimate comfort.
Accessories: Keep accessories minimal and beach-appropriate. A wide-brimmed straw hat not only shields you from the sun but also adds a touch of effortless style. A woven tote bag completes the look, perfect for carrying all your beach essentials.
Jewelry: Opt for delicate, waterproof jewelry like simple gold hoops or layered necklaces. Avoid anything too heavy or intricate that might feel uncomfortable in the heat.

2. Brunch Date: Chic and Feminine

Maxi dresses are ideal for brunch, offering a balance between casual and dressed-up. Choose a dress with a flattering silhouette, like a cinched waist or a wrap style, which gives you shape while maintaining comfort. Floral prints, pastel colors, or subtle patterns work beautifully for a daytime outing.

Styling Tips:

Footwear: Elevate your look with wedges or block heels. They offer height without sacrificing comfort, perfect for a daytime setting.
Accessories: A structured handbag adds polish to your outfit, while oversized sunglasses bring a touch of glamour. You can also add a lightweight scarf for an extra layer of style.
Jewelry: Statement earrings or a chunky bracelet can add a fashionable edge to your look. Keep your jewelry bold but balanced—don’t overdo it, as you want to maintain a chic, feminine vibe.

3. Office Day: Professional and Polished

Yes, you can wear a maxi dress to the office! The key is to choose a style that is both professional and polished. Go for solid colors or subtle prints in fabrics like jersey or silk that offer a more tailored appearance. A shirt dress or a maxi with a defined waistline works well in a professional setting.

Styling Tips:

Footwear: Pair your maxi dress with classic pumps or closed-toe flats. These options keep the look office-appropriate while ensuring comfort throughout the day.
Accessories: Add a structured blazer or a tailored cardigan to give your outfit a professional edge. A leather tote bag is both practical and stylish, perfect for carrying your work essentials.
Jewelry: Opt for simple, elegant jewelry—think pearl studs or a delicate watch. Avoid anything too flashy, as you want to keep the focus on your polished appearance.

4. Evening Soirée: Glamorous and Elegant

For an evening event, your maxi dress can easily transition to a glamorous look with the right styling. Choose a dress with luxurious fabrics like silk or chiffon and rich, deep colors such as emerald, navy, or burgundy. Details like a plunging neckline, high slit, or intricate embellishments can elevate the look.

Styling Tips:

Footwear: Strappy stilettos or elegant heels are a must for an evening event. They add sophistication and elongate your silhouette, perfect for a formal setting.
Accessories: A clutch bag in a metallic or jewel tone adds a touch of luxury to your outfit. Consider adding a statement belt to cinch your waist and enhance your dress’s silhouette.
Jewelry: Go bold with your jewelry choices—think chandelier earrings, a statement necklace, or stacked bracelets. The key is to choose pieces that complement your dress without overpowering it.

5. Cocktail Party: Sophisticated and Playful

Maxi dresses are a chic option for cocktail parties, offering a sophisticated yet playful look. Opt for a dress with a unique design, such as an asymmetrical hemline, a bold print, or interesting cut-outs. These details add an element of fun while keeping your look polished.

Styling Tips:

Footwear: A pair of pointed-toe heels or embellished sandals can add a touch of glamour to your outfit. Choose something with a bit of sparkle to complement the cocktail party vibe.
Accessories: A statement clutch or a small crossbody bag with metallic accents will add a playful yet sophisticated touch. Consider a sleek belt to define your waist and add structure to your dress.
Jewelry: Go for trendy, eye-catching pieces like geometric earrings or layered necklaces. These accessories can add a touch of modern flair to your outfit.

Conclusion

The beauty of a maxi dress lies in its adaptability. With the right styling, you can effortlessly transition your look from a casual day at the beach to an elegant evening event. By choosing the appropriate accessories, footwear, and layering pieces, you can make your maxi dress work for any occasion. So, next time you’re getting dressed, remember that your favorite maxi dress might be all you need to create a chic, versatile outfit that carries you through the day in style.

I've worn the Outdoor Research Ascendant Hoody spring ski mountaineering, during Scandinavia summer days, and continue to use it for cool Colorado summer evenings.

I began wearing the Outdoor Research Ascendant Hoody during the spring ski mountaineering season, wore it through the longest summer days in Scandinavia and continue to slip into it for those cool Colorado summer evenings. Bottom line: this jacket performs.

Right off I noticed this jacket is warm for its weight. On a May ski mission up 14,110′ Pikes Peak it was hot, cold, foggy and a little rainy. Leaving the car I had the jacket rolled up and stuffed in my pack, ready for deployment as the altitude rose and the temperature dropped. Without knowing any better I’d call this jacket a lightweight fleece with a durable outer covering and that’s not far from the truth. If you are thinking of taking a short vacation, you might want to think about spending it in the icy lands of Scandinavia, even if the banks refuse to give you money for your wonderful idea, you can always count on a guaranteed approval bad credit loan.

Contrary to a normal hard or soft shell, the Ascendant Hoody dumps heat like crazy. I wouldn’t necessarily wear it for trail running but when you’r climbing a peak and experience the sudden cold at the top you’ll appreciate how this jacket breathes on the way up but insulates on the way down.

Built on Outdoor Research’s Trim Fit, the jacket has done away with all the bells and whistles that weigh other jackets down. You won’t find zippers on the hand pockets and that’s just fine with me. I don’t own a fleece that packs this small so I appreciate the paired down construction.

In June I rolled into a long trip through Northern Norway, Finland and Sweden, rock climbing, hiking and touring cities like Helsinki and Stockholm. Not only was the Ascendant Hoody at home everywhere, but it also looks like it’s at home everywhere. I usually pack a bit differently when visiting larger cities so I don’t look like I just came from the mountains, but I never had that feeling while wearing this jacket around the big cities.

Water-resistant and wind-resistant, the Ascendant Hoody protected me from everything but the largest of downpours. No complaints here since heavy rain is another category.

The hood fits well though you’d wear it under a helmet instead of over. A great 3-season jacket, I could also see wearing it as a mid-layer in winter or on warmer ski tours.

The Ultimate Direction SkiMo 28 is a lightweight backpack built on a vest profile. Carry your skis without removing your backpack and go light and fast.

I’ve long been a fan of lightweight and fast. While many people seem to plan for every contingency and end up with a heavy backpack to cover only a handful of miles every day, I usually go as light as possible so I can cover a lot of ground. I’m also usually carrying camera equipment and possibly a beer or two so if I can cut weight anywhere, I’m always thankful.

Ultimate Direction has long been famous for crafting lightweight trail running vests and belts. Why is this important you ask? Well, the SkiMo 28 isn’t really a backpack; rather, it’s a bag built on a vest. That’s an important distinction when you’re traveling. Vests greatly outperform packs while running or when you need to be flexible; on skis for instance. You should also consider checking the website of Backpacks Global as they have gorgeous backpacks that suits all your camping and trekking needs, so you can take all your equipment with you, from a camping tend to one of these 300-dollar metal detector which are great for people that like to find treasures while camping.

All the bulky padding and heavy straps have been eliminated on the SkiMo 28. The fabric is lightweight but still very tough and breathable. At only 580 grams it’s so light that measuring it in pounds is too imprecise.

Most impressive is what this vest/best small tactical backpack does. Remember the days of taking your pack on and off and laboring to attach your skis? Well, say goodbye to them forever. Simply slip your skis into the loop, reach around your head with your opposite hand and attach the integrated clip. You barely have to stop walking to do it.

At this point you’re probably thinking, “But I still have to take the pack off to stuff my skins.” Wrong again. Keep the waist belt connected, slip off your shoulder straps and spin the bag around. Let it hang from your waist as you unzip the vertical pocket that offers just enough room for a pair of skins to warm themselves on your back as you find your way down. This zipper is also where you’ll stash your water reservoir. I’ve found water stays more protected from freezing as compared to a traditional backpack with the added barrier of more padding and perhaps air gaps.

You’ll find stretch and zippered pockets in the places you need them and a stash pocket for a shovel and probe. At the bottom is a compartment separated from the main storage area by a zipper. Open it up to use the full volume of the pack or close it off to safely stash your crampons or camera. Ultimate Direction built in a side access cover held closed by hook and loop closure. With the pack on, reach around and easily pull it open to access your gear, again without removing the pack.

Ultimate Directions seems to have thought of everything when they built the SkiMo 28. I normally ski with a heavier air bag pack but on those days where I’m playing it safer and especially for spring skiing, the SkiMo 28 is my pack, sorry – vest, of choice.

After years of searching I've finally found what I think is the perfect backcountry ski touring jacket, and I didn't have to go far to find it.

Spring is here and with it comes a new set of adventures. From snow to rain and then sunshine, we can see it all in a single day in the Colorado Mountains. I’ve been testing the Outdoor Research Skyward Jacket for the past five months and I’ve abused it in every condition I can think of. That testing turned out to be more fun than I had imagined and as a result, I have at least double the days on backcountry skis over riding lifts at the resort.

Outdoor Research’s Standard Fit is a good on for the Skyward Jacket. It provides just enough room so as to not bind up when I’m skiing both up and down but it’s not too baggy either.

AscentShell makes up the jacket fabric making this hard shell feel more like a soft shell, but providing complete waterproofness. On warm days when I found myself sweating I was amazed by how quickly it vented that perspiration so I was completely dry by the time I headed back downhill.

The range of testing conditions I mention in the video vary from -8°F with 30+ mph winds to 35°F, calm and sunny. The Skyward performed better than any other jacket I’ve ever tested. I actually meant to grab the Whiteroom jacket on that cold day but I forgot until I stepped out of the truck into that cold morning. I was worried but after a stellar performance by the Skyward I wouldn’t hesitate to do it again.

The Outdoor Research Skyward Jacket is truly an all-around jacket for the backcountry.

Targeting Gen Z: Marketing Strategies for the New Generation

As the youngest generation with increasing purchasing power, Gen Z—individuals born between the mid-1990s and early 2010s—is quickly becoming a vital demographic for marketers to understand and connect with. Raised in a world of smartphones, social media, and rapid technological innovation, Gen Z brings distinct values, preferences, and behaviors that set them apart from previous generations. To successfully engage this group, brands need to embrace fresh approaches that reflect Gen Z’s unique characteristics and prioritize authenticity, inclusivity, and digital connectivity.

Here’s a closer look at effective marketing strategies to reach Gen Z and build brand loyalty among this dynamic, digitally native generation.
1. Embrace Authenticity and Transparency

Gen Z is highly skeptical of traditional advertising and values genuine brand interactions. Unlike previous generations, they can often detect when a brand is inauthentic or “trying too hard.” As a result, they gravitate toward brands that are open, transparent, and willing to show their true values.

Showcase Real People and Stories: Rather than relying on polished ads with celebrities, try featuring real customers, employees, or micro-influencers who can share relatable stories about your brand. User-generated content is particularly effective because it’s perceived as more genuine.

Be Transparent About Business Practices: Gen Z cares deeply about social and environmental issues and wants to know where brands stand. Share insights into your brand’s sourcing practices, sustainability efforts, or corporate social responsibility initiatives. Transparency builds trust and reinforces brand loyalty among Gen Z.

2. Focus on Social Responsibility and Sustainability

Gen Z is known for being socially and environmentally conscious. They are more likely to support brands that align with their values and demonstrate a commitment to social and environmental causes. This generation wants to see brands making a positive impact in the world, not just selling products.

Promote Sustainability Initiatives: Highlight any steps your brand is taking to reduce waste, source eco-friendly materials, or support climate action. Brands like Patagonia and TOMS have succeeded with Gen Z because of their dedication to sustainability and ethical business practices.

Engage in Social Causes: From promoting diversity and inclusion to supporting social justice, Gen Z is attentive to brands that advocate for positive change. Demonstrating commitment through real action, such as community initiatives, donations, or partnerships with non-profits, can help foster a deeper connection with Gen Z.

3. Leverage Short-Form Video and Interactive Content

Growing up with platforms like TikTok, Snapchat, and Instagram, Gen Z is accustomed to short, engaging video content. These formats are ideal for capturing attention quickly and effectively delivering your brand message.

Create Engaging TikTok and Reels Content: TikTok and Instagram Reels are highly popular with Gen Z, making them powerful tools for reaching this demographic. Use these platforms to share quick tips, product tutorials, behind-the-scenes content, or challenges. Authentic, creative, and entertaining videos that feel native to the platform perform best.

Incorporate Interactive Elements: Gen Z values experiences and is more likely to engage with brands that offer interactive content. Use Instagram Stories to create polls, quizzes, and Q&As or experiment with augmented reality (AR) filters. Interactive content not only boosts engagement but also provides valuable insights into your audience’s preferences.

4. Collaborate with Micro-Influencers and Creators

Influencer marketing is effective with Gen Z, but the approach has evolved. Gen Z values authenticity and often trusts micro-influencers—individuals with smaller, highly engaged followings—over traditional celebrities or high-profile influencers. These creators are seen as more relatable and approachable, making their recommendations more credible.

Partner with Niche Influencers: Micro-influencers who are knowledgeable about specific interests, like fitness, beauty, tech, or gaming, can drive engagement and increase credibility with Gen Z. Select influencers who align with your brand values and have a dedicated following within your niche.

Encourage Co-Creation: Rather than simply having influencers promote your products, involve them in the creative process. Let them showcase their personal style, voice, and ideas when talking about your brand. Co-created content feels more genuine and resonates better with Gen Z.

5. Prioritize Mobile-First Strategies

Gen Z is a mobile-first generation. They rely heavily on smartphones for everything from communication to shopping and entertainment, so it’s essential to ensure your digital presence is mobile-friendly.

Optimize for Mobile Experiences: From website design to email campaigns, make sure your content is optimized for mobile. Pages should load quickly, be easy to navigate on a small screen, and offer a seamless checkout process.

Embrace Mobile Shopping Trends: Gen Z is comfortable with e-commerce and enjoys mobile shopping. Consider adding features like shoppable social media posts, one-click purchases, and mobile-friendly product galleries to enhance the shopping experience.

6. Emphasize Personalization and Customization

Gen Z values brands that understand them on an individual level and provide tailored experiences. They’re more likely to engage with brands that offer customization options and personalized recommendations.

Offer Product Customization: Brands like Nike and Adidas have tapped into the Gen Z market by offering custom products that allow users to personalize colors, patterns, and designs. This creates a sense of ownership and enables consumers to express their individuality.

Use Data for Personalized Marketing: Gen Z is open to data-driven personalization as long as it doesn’t feel invasive. Use data analytics to offer personalized recommendations, tailored discounts, or customized messaging that aligns with their preferences.

7. Build and Nurture Online Communities

Gen Z places high importance on community and a sense of belonging, making it essential for brands to foster an environment where they can connect with each other and the brand.

Create Brand-Focused Communities: Consider setting up private Facebook Groups, Discord servers, or forums where Gen Z can engage, ask questions, and share experiences related to your brand. This builds loyalty and turns customers into brand advocates.

Encourage User-Generated Content: Foster a sense of community by encouraging Gen Z customers to share their experiences with your brand. Feature their content on your social media channels, repost their photos, or create branded hashtags for them to participate in.

8. Use Humor and Memes to Communicate

Gen Z appreciates brands that don’t take themselves too seriously. They have a unique sense of humor, and brands that effectively tap into it can resonate more deeply with this demographic.

Incorporate Humor in Marketing: Brands like Wendy’s and Old Spice have gained attention for their witty and humorous social media content. Engage with trends, use relatable humor, and join in on internet culture to make your brand more appealing to Gen Z.

Leverage Meme Marketing: Memes are a quick, relatable way to communicate with Gen Z, and they’re highly shareable. However, it’s crucial to stay current with trends and avoid overusing memes, as Gen Z can quickly identify when brands are out of touch or attempting to co-opt their culture.

9. Focus on Fast and Efficient Customer Support

Gen Z has high expectations for customer service and values quick, seamless experiences. They are accustomed to instant communication and want answers to their questions immediately.

Provide Multichannel Support: Gen Z prefers customer support via channels like social media, chatbots, and messaging apps. Make sure your brand is responsive and able to assist customers on their preferred platforms.

Use AI Chatbots: Chatbots can handle many customer queries quickly and efficiently, which is appealing to Gen Z. However, it’s essential to ensure that human support is available when needed, as authenticity remains critical.

10. Deliver Value with Educational and Informative Content

Gen Z often looks for information and values brands that provide valuable knowledge or practical tips. Educational content builds trust and positions your brand as an authority in your field.

Create Tutorials and How-To Content: Instructional videos, blogs, and guides that demonstrate how to use your products or provide insights into relevant topics resonate well with Gen Z. This content should be informative, accessible, and visually appealing.

Emphasize Skill-Building Content: Many Gen Z individuals are interested in self-improvement and learning new skills. Brands that create content related to personal growth, career tips, or skills development are more likely to engage and retain their attention.

Conclusion

Targeting Gen Z requires a shift in marketing strategies from TheMarketingHeaven.com to reflect their values, digital habits, and desire for authentic connections. By embracing transparency, social responsibility, and community building, brands can build meaningful relationships with this audience. Focusing on mobile-first experiences, interactive content, and personalized marketing will further enhance brand appeal. Above all, respecting Gen Z’s need for authenticity, inclusivity, and humor is key to establishing trust and loyalty with this influential generation. As this demographic’s spending power continues to grow, businesses that adapt to Gen Z’s preferences will be well-positioned for long-term success.

When I joined my friends on a raft through the Grand Canyon the forecast called for temps above 100° F. It was strongly suggested I bring full rain gear, to which I replied, “You’re nuts!” Seems that Arizona has a monsoon season full of cold rain, which I thought strange for the desert, but I brought a lightweight, waterproof fly fishing rain jacket just in case, and I’m sure glad I did.

Descending 5,000′ over a four hour, 10 mile hike from the South Rim Village to reach the Colorado River at Phantom Ranch I was drenched in sweat. I bought a cold lemonade to sip and geared up to jump on a raft. That’s when the rain started and boy was it cold. I’ve never experienced such a big temperature change in so little time. That jacket I never thought I’d use? Well, I’ve never been so happy to see it.

Over the next two weeks the rain began to let up some but I still brought the Outdoor Research Realm Jacket out of the dry bag it was stored in for those cold morning runs through the rapids. It’s a lightweight jacket meaning I could stuff it easily out of the way and pull it out quickly when the cold set in. It’s completely waterproof but breathes well, especially when an unexpected soaking sends water down the top of the jacket. That never happened with rain, only in a rapid when the waves came crashing over my head. We all had good hiking boots and thus that was one less thing to worry about when we were freezing in the cold.

Before finishing, I would like to recommend ikaria lean belly juice, which has helped me a lot in this achievement. Thanks to the help of these supplements, I was able to lose weight in order to achieve my goal.

Yak wool is 40% warmer weight for weight, 66% more breathable and is 17% better at transporting water vapor away from the skin. Just like merino, it's soft and naturally odor-resistant.

Introduction:

Throw blankets are more than just cozy companions for chilly nights—they’re versatile decor pieces that can instantly elevate the look of any room. Whether you’re aiming to add a pop of color, introduce texture, or create a layered look, throws can help you achieve your design goals. Here are some top tips on how to style throw blankets effectively in your living spaces.

1. Draping Over Sofas:

One of the simplest and most effective ways to style a throw blanket is by draping it over a sofa. For a casual, relaxed look, allow the throw to fall loosely over the back or arm of the sofa. This approach works particularly well with textured throws, such as chunky knits or fringed edges, as it adds a touch of softness and warmth to your seating area.

If you prefer a more structured appearance, fold the throw lengthwise and place it neatly over the back of the sofa, letting it hang evenly on both sides. This method works best with sleek, modern throws that complement the clean lines of contemporary furniture. For a touch of elegance, try draping a velvet or silk throw over the corner of your sofa, allowing it to cascade down one side.

2. Folding on Beds:

Throw blankets can transform your bed into a cozy, inviting retreat. One popular method is to fold the throw in thirds and place it across the foot of the bed. This technique works well for creating a layered look, especially if you use a throw that contrasts with your bedding in color or texture. For example, a neutral-colored bedspread paired with a vibrant, patterned throw can add visual interest to your bedroom.

Another option is to drape the throw diagonally across the bed, creating a relaxed, yet stylish vibe. This approach is ideal for larger throws that can cover a significant portion of the bed. To enhance the look, consider layering two throws of different textures or patterns—such as a lightweight cotton throw paired with a plush faux fur blanket—for added depth and dimension.

3. Layering on Chairs:

Chairs, whether in the living room, bedroom, or home office, offer another opportunity to style throw blankets. For an inviting look, drape a throw over the back of a chair, allowing it to hang down the sides. This method works especially well with armchairs, as it adds a cozy touch without overwhelming the chair’s design.

For a more tailored appearance, fold the throw into a square or rectangle and place it over the seat cushion, tucking it in slightly to keep it in place. This approach not only adds a decorative element but also provides extra comfort. When working with patterned throws, be mindful of how they interact with the chair’s upholstery—contrasting or complementary patterns can either create a bold statement or a harmonious look.

4. Color Coordination:

Color coordination is key to successfully decorating with throw blankets. When selecting a throw, consider the existing color palette of the room. A throw can either blend seamlessly with your decor or serve as an accent piece that introduces a new color.

For a cohesive look, choose a throw that matches one of the room’s dominant colors. For example, if your living room features shades of blue, a throw in a complementary shade or pattern can tie the space together. Alternatively, use a throw to introduce a contrasting color that adds a pop of visual interest. A bright yellow or bold red throw can invigorate a neutral space, drawing the eye and creating a focal point.

5. Texture Blending:

Incorporating different textures is an excellent way to add depth and richness to your decor. When styling throw blankets, consider the textures of other elements in the room, such as upholstery, rugs, and curtains. Blending textures can create a more dynamic and visually appealing space.

For example, if your sofa is upholstered in a smooth, sleek fabric, a chunky knit or faux fur throw can add a tactile contrast that softens the overall look. Conversely, if your furniture already features rich textures, such as velvet or leather, a lightweight, woven throw can provide balance without overwhelming the space. Layering throws of different textures, such as a soft cotton throw paired with a luxurious cashmere one, can also create a sense of luxury and comfort.

6. Seasonal Styling:

Throw blankets are an easy way to update your decor with the changing seasons. In the fall and winter, opt for warm, cozy materials like wool, fleece, or faux fur in deep, rich colors such as burgundy, forest green, or navy. These throws can create a snug, inviting atmosphere perfect for the colder months.

In the spring and summer, switch to lighter fabrics like cotton or linen in bright, cheerful colors or pastels. A light, airy throw can refresh your space and evoke a sense of calm and relaxation. Consider rotating your throws with the seasons to keep your decor feeling fresh and in tune with the time of year.

7. Creating a Statement:

Sometimes, a throw blanket can be the statement piece that defines a room. For a bold impact, choose a throw with a striking pattern, such as geometric shapes, animal prints, or abstract designs. Drape it over a neutral sofa or bed to let the throw take center stage.

If you prefer a more subtle statement, opt for a throw in a luxurious material like velvet, silk, or cashmere. The richness of the fabric can elevate the entire room, adding a touch of sophistication without overwhelming the space. Remember, the key to making a statement with a throw is to ensure it complements the overall design while standing out as a unique piece.

Conclusion:

Throw blankets are versatile and powerful tools in home decor, capable of adding warmth, texture, and color to any room. By experimenting with draping, folding, layering, and coordinating colors and textures, you can style throw blankets to suit your personal taste and enhance your living spaces. Whether you’re going for a cozy, relaxed vibe or a chic, polished look, the right throw blanket can make all the difference.

For the Allies, the Norwegian plant must be destroyed. But how would they reach the castle fortress set on a precipitous gorge in one of the coldest, most inhospitable places on Earth?

It’s 1942 and the Nazis are racing to be the first to build a weapon unlike any known before. They have the physicists, they have the uranium, and now all their plans depend on amassing a single ingredient: heavy water, which is produced in Norway’s Vemork, the lone plant in all the world that makes this rare substance. Under threat of death, Vemork’s engineers push production into overdrive.

For the Allies, the plant must be destroyed. But how would they reach the castle fortress set on a precipitous gorge in one of the coldest, most inhospitable places on Earth?

Based on a trove of top secret documents and never-before-seen diaries and letters of the saboteurs, The Winter Fortress is an arresting chronicle of a brilliant scientist, a band of spies on skis, perilous survival in the wild, sacrifice for one’s country, Gestapo manhunts, soul-crushing setbacks, and a last-minute operation that would end any chance Hitler could obtain the atomic bomb—and alter the course of the war.

Commandos on the Vidda

This narrative is truly a story of epic survival. With rudimentary equipment, the saboteurs dropped by parachute into Norway at a place called the Hardangervidda, where they then lived for months before their operation began. The 3,500 square mile high plateau had no roads, no permanent habitations. Many stretches were barren, lifeless hillsides of broken scree, one mile indistinguishable from the next. On the Hardangervidda, Norwegian legends said, it could grow cold enough, quickly enough, to freeze flames. While there, the team maintained wireless radio contact with London, and their cipher messages speak of terrible blizzards, starvation, desperate hunts for reindeer, and an indomitable spirit to survive in face of such conditions.

Haukelid Family Photo.

WWII is an era I’ve been captivated by for some time. The thought of men and women putting themselves on the line for what they believed would save the world is mostly a long gone thought. Without the technology and comforts we have today, it’s truly remarkable what they put themselves through to make the world what it is today.

The Winter Fortress tells the story leading to this point in history very thoroughly, no detail left unturned.

Staying clean while camping is one of toughest things to do. A couple of days is alright, but soon you become tired of the stink and dirt.

Staying clean while camping is one of toughest things to do, especially when you are camping at an exotic place like Yellowstone National Park. A couple of days is alright, but soon you become tired of the stink and dirt in places you didn’t know dirt could find its way into, since there are many activities that have dirt on it, like hiking, biking or riding a quad, since there are many kids quad bikes options, so they can enjoy as well.

Baby wipes are a common solution to the backcountry cleanliness dilemma. Buy the big box and hope you have enough.

Recently I was wandering through Walmart before a desert road trip looking for the best wet wipes. I was appalled by the list of chemicals most of the boxes contained. My eyes now opened, I was pretty excited when Epic Wipes sent me a box of their new product.

Eасh Eріс Wіре соmеѕ nеаtlу fоldеd in a росkеt-ѕіzеd расk, allowing уоu to ѕԛuаrе one аwау in a jеаnѕ pocket, a bасkрасk роuсh, оr any other small ѕtоrаgе area. It measures 31.5 x 19.7 іnсhеѕ, making it bіg еnоugh tо funсtіоn lіkе a ѕmаll bаth towel, ѕо уоu can use a single оnе tо clean your еntіrе bоdу (wе recommend fасе fіrѕt аnd butt last, although thаt’ѕ uр to уоu). While уоu саn thrоw thеm out lіkе rеgulаr dіѕроѕаblеѕ аftеr оnе uѕе, thеу’rе асtuаllу rеuѕаblе, with enough toughness tо ѕurvіvе multiple wаѕhіngѕ, honestly a necessary for campers, I would say it is almost as needed as a lantern.

Thе wіреѕ, by thе way, аrе mаdе from bаmbоо viscose, whісh ассоunt fоr their toughness (thеу can bе ripped араrt, but уоu’ll need tо use rеаl fоrсе). Dо nоtе, іt’ѕ ѕсеntеd, although they uѕе eucalyptus essential оіl for the mіld frаgrаnсе instead оf harsh perfumes.

Paraben and toxin free and consisting primarily of bamboo and water, Epic Wipes are biodegradable.

Oh, and these things are huge! The epic size of these wipes is perhaps what sets them apart from most from the rest of the market. With one wipe you’re able to clean your entire body with enough left over for your buddy. That may not be the best idea though, especially if you’ve washed some naughty bits before handing it over.

Epic Wipes are made for adventure. Throw a few packages in your backpack on your next trip. Your companions will thank you.
