Love? The Brown Eyed Girls Say... Maybe After 5 Years

They're the hottest Korean girl group at the moment, but love isn't steaming up for the Brown Eyed Girls, at least not till half a decade into the future, so say the quartet.

Being at the peak of their careers right now, Jea, Narsha, Ga-in, and Miryo all say they "still have a lot to do" and might only think about love "5 years later." Narsha, whom reports once said that she would hook up with a boyfriend this year, clarified the reports, saying that her "work is more important" and prefers to "leave things up to fate."

The group performed at Sundown "Live" party in Zouk last Saturday, but a lost baggage (Jea's) and a delayed flight nearly put a dent in their schedule. Impeccably dressed to the nines with platform heels and fashionable frocks, the girls were visibly tired and worn from the jetlag.

Life wasn't as hectic when the quartet made a lacklustre debut in 2006 as your average cookie-cutter teenyboppers. They finally had their big break last year in an impressive comeback with their new sexy and edgy makeovers with Sound G, their third album.

The overhaul worked and they were praised for their new provocative style, though the ladies admitted to initially having a hard time adjusting to their new femme fatale image.

"Before the image change, ours was a very cute style. It is totally different now. After we changed, people say things like, 'You are very sexy'. We found it weird and hard to accept initially," confessed Jea, the group's leader.

Today, the four beauties are "pleased and flattered as women" to be complimented on their "sexy image". Miryo, the rapper in the group, even jested about making a 180-degree change from sexy to "feminine and girlish" for their next album.

Though they are enjoying a wave of popularity, the girls admit to experiencing the downside of fame.
Due to her young, starry ambitions of becoming a singer, Miryo "only attended six months of high school" and "did not have a student life as all others did" as she had to "start training to become a singer."

Agreeing with her bandmate, Narsha found it "a pity and sometimes sad" to "lose contact with close friends."
"It is a totally different lifestyle as a celebrity. Even for family members, it is sometimes difficult to meet them," she frankly admitted.

Having risen from obscurity to fame, we asked the girls what sort of challenges they wish to overcome in future. Their replies seem to resonate with their dream jobs if they weren't singers.

Fashionista wannabe Jea would like to be a "fashion designer" whereas Narsha, a common fixture on Korean variety programmes these days, positively chirped "Programme emcee."

Miryo is eager to show "my true self by appearing on variety programmes," and Ga-in, the maknae or youngest of the group at 22 (the rest are 28) would like to get back to her books and return to being "just an ordinary student."

With both fans and the media eagerly anticipating their next transformation with bated breaths, the girls divulged a little and only revealed that things are still in the works. Quipped Miryo, "We are now looking out for new songs for the new album. We hope to bring it back to Singapore when it is done.

Narsha's honesty strikes again!

On the latest episode of Star Golden Bell, the lovable Narsha teased the other members of the Brown Eyed Girls.

Apparently, Narsha was chosen for a solo CF, so when the MCs asked her why she thought she was chosen out of all of the members, Narsha replied, “I believe I was selected because I’m honest and I matched well with the brand/product.”

Narsha then left a video message for the rest of her members, “To my beloved members. I guess I’m the trend. If you are patient though, an opportunity will come to you as well.”

The episode will air on the 20th.

Lucky fans in Hong Kong caught our favorite on-screen couple celebrating their Lunar New Year holidays in Hong Kong! On February 15, they were spotted in Tsim Sha Tsui, well-known to the tourists. Fans on soompi forum also reported fan accounts of spotting the pair at the TVB parade.

Ga In & Kwon finally kiss on WGM?

Jo Kwon had requested for Ga-In to make a guest appearance in the music video via the kissing scene, and after a little bit of persuasion, she finally agreed to do it. As expected, the couple had many bouts of giggles and NGs while filming the kissing scene. Actually, it’s quite hard to watch the clip and not find yourself smiling and giggling along with them.

Right when the mood finally sets in and that they were going to actually kiss, Jo Kwon whispered to Ga-In that it was all just a joke. He had planned this beforehand with his members and the production staff in order to play a prank on his wife. There was never supposed to be a kissing scene, and that’s why you did not see it in the actual music video.

The furious Ga-In chased Jo Kwon around the set with a broom, and the way he handled the situation was my favorite part. He just took her by the arms, pinned her to the wall and proceeded with an encore performance of the kissing scene. Within ten seconds, the situation went from Ga-In chasing Jo Kwon with a broom to Ga-In walking gleefully while holding his hand. Many viewers have commented positively at just how suave and cute Jo Kwon was during that scene.

LOL well done Jo Kwon!

On the upcoming episode of SBS Strong Heart, Narsha lets the cat out of the bag again! She reveals that everything on her profile except her name is a lie. But we all know that Narsha isn't her real name either. Oh well!

But there're more to it! When After School's UEE talks about her group being labelled as scary unnies among other girl groups, Narsha explained why the label that will all be revealed in the next episode of SBS Strong Heart.

The sizzling hip swayers showed off their curvy figures and sexy charisma in these shots.

A GET USED rep stated:

They added:

Narsha to be featured in Untouchable’s upcoming album

Brown Eyed Girls’ Narsha will be featured on hip-hop duo Untouchable’s second mini-album.

The collaborative song is reportedly titled Living in the Heart (가슴에 살아). Untouchable, composed of Sleepy and The Action, is making a comeback after an eight month absence. The two made their debut with their It’s Okay album in October 2008. Soon after, the duo received much praise and a loyal fan base after their hit songs It’s Okay, Tell Me Why, I’ll Give You Everything and Oh.

Narsha has definitely been focusing more on variety shows these days. She’s currently a hot icon in the k-pop scene after a successful summer hit with Abracadabra and a follow-up fall/winter comeback with Sign. She’s also a regular on KBS’s Invincible Youth, so fans are connected to a rather more personal side of her, just as they have with Ga-In on We Got Married. We don’t know when the Brown Eyed Girls will make their comeback so it’s nice to see Narsha return to her musical career with this collab.

Untouchable’s company said, “When we first heard the song, we all thought of Narsha. Though she’s very busy, she accepted the offer right away. This song is a great mixture of Untouchable’s rapping and Narsha’s vocals.”

No official date has been announced yet, so stay tuned for the release of the song!

Are they dating or are they not dating. As much as these two would like to leave it ambiguous, it is becoming very much less so as the days go by. Nonetheless, an entertaining video featuring the two of them, and the very astonishing talent of JYP.

Unfortunately for him, depending on which angle you're looking from, he either happens to have a head shape that came straight out from Legoland, or he looks like he hasn't recovered from that toilet episode in the Wonder Girls' Nobody video.

On the upcoming episode of Star Golden Bell, there was a section where male idols picked their favourite female idol. The person who got the most votes was none other than Narsha. Singer Evan, who was on the show, said “She is very sexy on stage. I think Narsha is the trend these days.”

After picking Narsha as their favourite, everyone was wondering who her favourite male idol was. She picked Donghae, and said, “I saw a predebut video of him, and I was surprised by his good looks. I think he was more handsome back then.”

This episode will air on January 30th, 5:15PM KST.

We are looking into an opportunity to show the girls our support altogether by waving towels/fans and wearing caps of the same color scheme & design style together for a unified & bigger visual cheer. Like one of the mottos for our nation, Together, we make a difference! Let's leave a HUGE impression on the Brown Eyed Girls to remember us!

Fans would look roughly like those the girls used in the SIGN performances.

And towel would look similar to what Miryo used in Chocolate last year.

We are still in the midst of coming up with the designs, but we promise they will be great!

Brown Eyed Girls to be Back in Singapore for Live Party!

It has been confirmed that the great guys from Red Spade Entertainment will, once again, bring Brown Eyed Girls back to Singapore. This time round, Brown Eyed Girls will be performing a full concert show (roughly 100 minutes) at Zouk. However, as it is a club after all, there is a minimum age limit of 16.
