This cute brother and sister duo is Cutie and Auggie and they are this week's Pet of the Week! Cutie is a 4 year old Cockerpoo and Auggie is a 5 year old mini Schnauzer. They have been boarding at Best Friends in Harrison for five years. During their stay here over Thanksgiving they really enjoyed their Holiday Meal - a yummy Turkey dinner with sweet potato biscuits. They have so much fun together when they stay with us and can't wait to get their grooming services before they go home so they are nice and fresh for their family!

Rebel, a handsome German Shepard, is this week's Pet of the Week. Rebel has been a guest at Best Friends in Harrison for over four years. When he stays with us, he loves to stay in our Luxury Suites. In our Luxury Suites, Rebel gets premium bedding, extended outdoor runs, all day doggy movies and afternoon room service. Rebel also enjoys his daily playtimes where he plays with his favorite football toy and poses for pictures!

This handsome Jack Russel is Jax. Jax loves staying with us at Best Friends in Harrison because he gets to enjoy the Precious Pooch Package. Everyday Jax gets playtimes, cuddletimes, bottled water, premium bedding and a variety of treats! He loves his playtimes so much and can never choose which toy to play with, so he plays with all of them! Before Jax leaves he loves getting his Go-Home Fresh Bath. This handsome Bull Terrier is Mr. Jiggs. Mr. Jiggs has been boarding at Best Friends in Harrison for over two years. When he boards with us, he loves to get his daily playtimes. If he is not jumping in the doggy pool on a hot day, then he is gathering up as many toys as he can get his paws on! He has a lot of energy and loves to get it all out of his system in our fully fenced-in playyard.

Guy is a 9 year old stunning retired show Rotti who has been boarding with the Best Friends of Harrison, NY for many years. When Guy comes to stay with us he loves to board in our luxury suites where the movies play all day. Guy also enjoys play sessions through out his stay with us and likes to wrap things up with a nice bubble bath before he returns home.

These two pretty ladies are Lucky and Champers. Champers is a three year old labradoodle and Lucky is two. They have been boarding and getting groomed at Best Friends for almost three years. Champers and Lucky are so playful and energetic, they love to run around thier outdoor patio area! They are both such happy dogs and get excited every time they come to stay with us!

These two beautiful Golden Retrievers are Haley & Chloe Madigan. They are just six years old and full of love and energy. When the girls come and stay with us they love when their owners sign them up for our Dapper Doggy Package. The package allows the girls to have a one on one play session & cuddletime daily as well as a yummy doggie ice cream. And after a funfilled stay the girls enjoy a relaxing day at the spa.

Best Friends Pet Care Donates Hair For Oil Spill

A non-profit organization called Matter of Trust is asking for hair donations. With the collected clean & matt free hair they will create hair matts & hair booms out of recycled hair and nylon. These hair matts & hair booms will be placed into the water where it will soak up the oil that has contaminated the water. Once Best Friends has collected enough hair each week we will be shipping it to the volunteers from Matter of Trust. You can help us succeed in this challenge by bringing in a bag of clean & matt free hair from home or by scheduling an appointment with us at Best Friends Pet Care of Harrison, NY. An emergency can occur at any time and its important that you know how to help your pet until you can get them to a vet clinic. The American Red Cross of Westchester located in White Plains is holding Pet First Aid Training. The program is offering CPR, first aid skills & how to notice life threatening issues.
