Williams sisters are gone already, no doubt unsuited by the slow nature of the courts (and balls) at Roland Garros this year.<br />Maria Sharapova is the new favourite but I just don't understand why. Victoria Azarenka thrashed her in Melbourne and subsequent form is about par for both girls.<br />Azarenka is the current No 1, as well, though she has had some shoulder problems. is chasing Bjorn Borg's record this year.</p> <p>Djokovic has won the past three slams and if he wins here he will sit atop a mountain which has not been reached in the modern era of men's tennis: the The stats show his serve is being broken more often this year than last.
