In this episode we discuss the film that features Jack Skellington, the Pumpkin King, in his attempt to stave off boredom by taking over a different holiday.

We also talk about Henry Selick’s adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s novel, Coraline.

And to round things out we chat about Tim Burton’s attempt to capture our imaginations with Corpse Bride.

While these films are generally considered children’s fare, this show is not, and we recommend that you not let your kiddos listen to Adam’s drunken ramblings.

And talk about acting, this film also starred Tom Berenger, Ellen Barkin and Joe Pantoliano

This one starts a bit different. If you are ever able to come online on Wednesday evenings and listen in to the livestream of our recording sessions, you might hear a bit of off topic banter by whomever is on the show that night. Sometimes the chatter is meaningless to anyone other than the two or three of us, but sometimes we chat about movies we’ve seen, TV or just other stuff. The recording session before Die Hard was no exception. In this case, we are including the pre- show banter. It’s almost always recorded (because we are setting up and testing levels and such), and occasionally we even use discussions about movies to lengthen a short episode.

You should be able to tell when we “start” the show, it’s about 10ish minutes in. This was intended to be our Christmas Special. Nothing says Christmas like John McClane kicking ass and taking names in bare feet.

Friend of the show, Phil Hicks (Red Earth Saga) has challenged Tony Mast to a battle of movie trivia to reclaim the honor lost by Tony #2 and Adam.

There will be three rounds of contest between the two:

1.) General Movie Trivia
2.) “Name that movie!”
3.) “Finish that quote!”

Here’s where we need your help!

Adam or Tony #2 is going to be MC’ing this contest. As was evidenced in episode 64, we don’t have the requisite movie knowledge to compete with these titans, so we’re going to need you, the audience to e-mail us questions that we can ask the contestants.
