Iffah Liyakath (CAS’26) (right), who earned a bachelor’s degree in biology, poses for a photo with her mother, Fathahana Akbarbasha (MET’26), who earned a master’s in computer information systems. The two sat together during BU’s 153rd Commencement on Nickerson Field, May 17. This fall, the youngest member of the family, Wahid Liyakath (CAS’30), will enter BU as a biology major, while Iffah plans to pursue a master’s degree in graduate medical sciences at BU’s Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine.
